Welcome to the fantasy footballers podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.

00:00:23

Welcome in. The fantasy footballers podcast, Monday, November 25th. It's Megalodon Week. We're happy to be with you. Sometimes a weekend is a break, and sometimes coming to work is the break. And I feel like I'm getting the weekend of my weekend right now. Oh, really? This is the break from what was supposed to be a weekend. I was just very, very- Yeah, you- I had a lot of dad responsibilities this weekend, and I feel like this is our chance to... We haven't seen each other in a while.

00:01:10

No, this is a rare situation where the three of us this weekend did not watch any football together. We usually are the three of us in the studio with our giant TV wall, trying to take in every snap of every game at the same time and- Reacting together.

00:01:28

Melding. Yeah.

00:01:29

But Yeah, Mike was traveling. You were at home. I was in the studio. Now it's like we get here this morning, and it's like, We got to hit record, because all we want to do is talk about all the things that happened this weekend. What did you think of this? What did you think of that?

00:01:44

And you just got here, so we had to hit record. Right.

00:01:47

I was coming in a little hot.

00:01:50

But a lot of the kids are on break?

00:01:54

Yeah.

00:01:54

Are your kids on break right now? My kids are not on break yet. Mine neither. It was the morning workout.

00:01:59

No, I know. I Some kids are getting the whole Thanksgiving week off, but not- Are your kids off?

00:02:04

Yeah.

00:02:05

Oh, man. They didn't do this for me when I was a kid.

00:02:08

They didn't do it for me either. This is a new one, but what are you going to do?

00:02:12

Yeah, no.

00:02:12

I mean- I slept till 07:00 AM.

00:02:14

You were here, though.

00:02:16

Still dropped them off at school. They just don't have any.

00:02:19

But we have a lot of football to talk about. I think I selected some of the worst puns I've ever selected for Monday Pun Day. Okay. So good luck on those ones. And We have a lot of studs and duds to talk about. We got a pretty neat ready to roll segment today, breaking down some of the rookie quarterbacks. I'm just thankful the Foot Cleanse here, listening in, tuning in, getting ready for one more game in which, tonight, the Horror Bowl, and I need some help. I need Lamar and Zee flowers to outscore Mark Andrews by 30.

00:02:57

Okay. It's doable. Doable. That's not doable. But you're in it. That's not like there is no, I think, perceived expectation of who wins and loses that.

00:03:07

To me, I'm just going to count Lamar as 30 points, and it'll be Zee flowers versus Andrew's heads up. That's why I'm looking at it. So we'll see what happens tonight.

00:03:15

I'd rather be on the Zee flowers side.

00:03:18

Yeah. And what I am rooting for is, and I apologize, but I'm rooting for a defensive slugfest with very few fantasy points scored. I got league medians that I'm not... I've got no one else left to score. Right now I'm in it, but if other... I just need everybody to suck today.

00:03:39

Like the Cardinals.

00:03:41

Oh, man.

00:03:43

Man. All right. Here are your Monday Punday reactions. Thank you for submitting these, Jim.

00:03:50

We didn't write these. I'll kick it off because I played him, baby. What do we got? Amir Abdulallah.

00:03:58

Oh, you're I'm supposed to accentuate the Ouh La La. You know what I mean?

00:04:03

Maybe you should have kicked it off.

00:04:04

Yeah, I should have.

00:04:05

Let's go with Courtland Strutton.

00:04:08

I guess we're going this way. Nico Ballen.

00:04:12

Jalen, what all the heck was that all about?

00:04:15

It was awesome. Happy Thanksgiving.

00:04:20

Yeah, he was good. We've got Saquon Narly.

00:04:23

Napalm Barkley.

00:04:24

I like that one. Noah Great.

00:04:27

Wait, who played him?

00:04:29

Noah Why he was still good. Okay, that's Noah Great, right? Yeah. Okay.

00:04:33

And Yey McBride.

00:04:34

Or Josh Tracubst.

00:04:37

Oh, but they're not all good. No, no. Kyler Worried.

00:04:42

And Cade Rotten. Oh, no.

00:04:44

Oh, Broke-Bowers.

00:04:46

Oh, that's good. Ty Weak Hill.

00:04:47

What a loser. Sam Laporta.

00:04:50

Hold on.

00:04:53

Doudou Samuel. How has that never been? That's a layup. Doudou Samuel. That's great. Joe Nothing Taylor?

00:05:02

Yeah. And D. K. Metcrap?

00:05:04

Oh, this is the first time he's ever been on this list. Probably. Christian McCrapery or McCrapery?

00:05:11

Mccrapery.

00:05:11

Mccrapery.

00:05:12

Joe Misson.

00:05:13

And Ammon Blah, St. Brown.

00:05:17

What a weekend. Amun Ra, CMC, Jackson, Jonathan Taylor, all in the Duds list.

00:05:24

You know who wasn't in the Duds list? Who I had the privilege of facing this week because fantasy football?

00:05:32

Keenan freaking Allen. Dude. Oh, yeah.

00:05:35

I saw him on the opponent's team, thrilled.

00:05:38

Dude.

00:05:39

Then his first touch, he fumbles.

00:05:42

There were some players this week that were basically not just dropped candidates. They were dropped. They were recommended dropped. I'll take my L. I mean, Michael Pitman. Get rid of him. He's a bum. He's the third on the target picking board. No, he's awesome. He's great. With Anthony Richland, he's going to be fantastic. Keenan Allen. There were so many players that were like... I mean, Jalen Waddle. Who have just been so horrifically bad, and now all of a sudden, this was their week. This is their time to shine, which I guess when you're dealing with a bunch of buy weeks, that's great because a lot of these players actually were in lineups due to buy weeks. But this weekend, man, was Jordan Addison.

00:06:26

With Jefferson, absolutely horrible for fantasy. This is why if you make the playoffs, you can win the Championship. Mike's 18 and 4, because we play with median in our dynasty League, his 18 and 14 faced a one in 21 team this week and got blown out.

00:06:45

Yes. That's how this week felt. This week felt like the top players were Jordan Addison, Jalen Waddle, DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, David Moore, Jacobi Myers. Those just felt like the best players to start this week. And of course, they were.

00:07:02

I feel like Bucky Irving didn't get any credit in the Monday Punday, but frankly, nobody could come up with something valuable there. There was a Bucky serving, and I was trying to tie it into Thanksgiving, but we didn't get there.

00:07:21

Welcome to Ready to Roll, presented by Nissan.

00:07:28

It's almost It's like you can't predict what's going to happen in the NFL. Not perfectly.

00:07:34

Not 100%, yeah.

00:07:36

No, you just have to stack the odds in your favor each and every week.

00:07:41

And find a way to make it fun in the meantime, in the process.

00:07:43

Yeah, that's what this show's about. I mean, one in twelve, one in ten, they win the title. And we want you to enjoy the season. All right. Endo ready to roll. And we picked this week to take a look at the rookie quarterbacks that are performing at a very high level this year and maybe put them into a historical context. Because in week 12, three of the top six fantasy quarterbacks happened to be rookies. Jaden Daniels, who threw a... What was it, 86 yards?

00:08:21

Something like that.

00:08:23

Touchdown to nearly end the game until the extra point was missed, was the number one quarterback. Caleb Williams, number three on the week. By the way, I had forgotten, that was the almost upset. That's as almost as you get. Overtime, lost to Minnesota. And then Bo Nicks at number 6 on the week, which I think felt like a disappointment.

00:08:50

It really did. To be honest, all three of these players were a disappointment through a large portion of the game this week, where it was like the end of, specifically the Daniels and Caleb Williams games, the end of those two games were absolutely bonkers insane, and so many fantasy points came when you just thought everything was gone, everything was out of reach, even to the point of the game should be over, but defensive players are scoring touch downs instead of going down, so your player gets to get back on the field and throw. It was just wild. But yes, historically, we looked at basically 32 quarterbacks that have started 12 games because we're 12 weeks in. Slight exceptions, Josh Allen had 11 starts as rookie or Caleb Williams has already had his a week, so he's only had 11. But for the most part, that's what this data is.

00:09:47

Yeah, 32 rookie quarterbacks dating back to 2008. In fantasy, points per game. Right now, Jaden Daniels is sitting at sixth, But maybe more interesting, Bo Nicks sitting at 10th. That's outrageous. Out of those 32 quarterbacks dating back, the 32 rookie dating back to 2008, Jaden is behind Cam Newton, RG3, Herbert in 2020, Stroud last year, and Kyler Murray. He's actually tied with Kyler Murray at 19.9. Bo Nicks is sitting at 18.4, though. And I think even just showing... That's a point and a half gap between what Bo Nicks is doing here in Jaden Daniels, who started so hot that I think- And Bo was the opposite.

00:10:35

In the first month of the season, in a four-point passing touch-down, he was under... He was 11 points or fewer in three of the first four games. Then it just flipped.

00:10:48

Since week five, Bo is the quarterback three in fantasy. The quarterback three since that first month of his season. It's unbelievable.

00:10:58

And they're starting to lean on Marvin Mims more, Jason. I don't know if you saw that. Big key to success for Bo Nicks.

00:11:04

I don't believe it. I refuse to accept it, and I want to focus on Sean Payton saying really good things about Troy Franklin.

00:11:13

Because it was a season high for targets for Mr. Mims. All the way up to five.

00:11:19

Did he catch them?

00:11:20

He caught three of them.

00:11:21

Oh, that's it? I thought he had four. Okay.

00:11:24

He had two carries.

00:11:25

So sixth, 10th, and 14th. Caleb Williams is sitting 14 of 32. So for all of the shade thrown on Caleb Williams, that's above the halfway point for all the rookie quarterbacks that we looked at. Passing yards per game, they're all middle of the pack right now in terms of the context of rookie performances. They're not putting up huge yardage numbers, 17th, 18th, and 20th. But completion percentage, Jaden Daniels is number two since 2008, among all rookie quarterbacks, 68.4 %.

00:11:58

Behind only Mac Jones, superstar rookie quarter.

00:12:02

That was such a good rookie year for Mac Jones.

00:12:04

They went to the playoffs, right?

00:12:06

Maybe that's your like, I hope that's not Bo Nicks, right?

00:12:10

A hundred %, yeah. I mean, this is not a guarantee of future Not a major success, but there's certainly huge optimism here for most of this rookie class. And we've talked about Caleb Williams, specifically. I feel like we've seen enough to believe he will be a franchise quarterback, as opposed to what we saw from Bryce Young in his rookie year. But the name we haven't really talked hardly at all about is Drake May. Sure. What we actually think, because in the first game or two, it was like, I liked a lot of what I saw, but I feel like I'm pretty disappointed in-I think he's doing the best he can do with what he's got, honestly.

00:12:50

I think he's actually not that bad. He's got a 65.5% completion percentage, which is above Boonix, which is above Caleb Williams. He's not in the sample when we looked at those three guys.

00:13:02

He's literally surrounded by Booty.

00:13:05

He is literally surrounded. He's literally surrounded by Boody. When Boody is your top-Thank you, everyone. It's good to be back.

00:13:12

You can leave now. I mean, you just We peed.

00:13:15

Mike showed up, and you can leave. No, when your top target is Booty, you're not going to put up big numbers. Oh, man. That's good stuff. But yeah, I think Drain May is fine. I do. I think I think him and Caleb Williams are actually performing at a similar level right now, not the Bo'Nicks level.

00:13:36

Yeah, I mean, look, the other three guys, like Courtland Sutton, he has never come through, I think, for what we had hoped he was going to be when he entered the league. I think he was a second-round pick. But it was like, no, he's a good player. Of course, the bears have their weapons, and then Terry McLaurin. So it's like, Drake May, compared to these other guys, is just... He's got half the cards.

00:13:58

Hey, I didn't notice any Anthony Richardson in the completion percentage area of the rookie stats?

00:14:04

Is he not- He doesn't reach. Kyle, do you know where he registers? I don't think he has 11 starts.

00:14:09

Oh, you're probably right. It's also- He's more of a rookie than these three rookies.

00:14:14

Yeah, he really is. 100%.

00:14:15

The Richardson game is so weird.

00:14:19

This week you're saying?

00:14:19

Yes.

00:14:20

It was weird.

00:14:21

11 for 28, 39% of his passes completed, 172 yards. But there was a- It wasn't that bad. There was a full dropped to touch down. We're talking a slant route. Hit what was it, Ogletree? It was Ogle tree. Hit him right in the hands for a touch down. Ogly tree. And then Hardets had tweeted out. There was like, he had 70 passing yards called back on penalties. The freaking penalties. Oh, my.

00:14:48

We're back.

00:14:48

They still scored six points.

00:14:51

It wasn't as bad as the box score, for sure. And he had some yards on the ground. But any chance I have to take a shot, I get it.

00:15:00

I will say that there were missed opportunities, and his game was slightly better than what the box score says. But also the box score says it was horrific, and it was a little better than that. It was still bad. There were plenty of plays out there Because what I was focused on for Anthony Richardson was consistency and accuracy because he had it the previous game. Is this what's developing? And that was 100% not there. What you saw in this game was still a couple of incredible terrible throws, and a couple just absurdly ridiculous. Like, whoops. Is it raining in that dome? Why is the ball coming out of your hand like that?

00:15:39

I think it's also worth at this point highlighting because it will transfer over to next year. People, we're talking about 32 rookie quarterbacks since 2008. It's like this is not normal, what is happening. Especially for the Terry McLaurin being a top-tier fantasy player. Courtland Sun, their weapons doing what they're doing, don't let that lull you into a false sense of confidence next year when we're drafting rookie quarterbacks top wide receiver.

00:16:15

Right. Although we are seeing- It's not impossible.

00:16:19

It's just the probability is still very low.

00:16:22

Yeah, I think it is low, but I think it is changing.

00:16:28

Perhaps.

00:16:29

We'll need to do like a-We've seen it at the tight-end position a little bit from the rookies. I think we're seeing slightly more... A higher probability is there over time. I think people are going to win championships with Bo Nicks and Jaden Daniels this year. Bo Nicks has the eighth easiest schedule the rest of the way. They're letting him throw it around. He's playing great football, and Jaden Daniels, he's got some matchups in the playoffs. If you can get through Philly in week 16, which when you If you have rushing baseline, you can get through a game like that. I think championships are going to be one on the back of two rookie quarterbacks. I really do.

00:17:06

The rushing yards is a huge one. Jaden's averaging 46 yards a game. Bo Nicks is at 25, and Caleb's at 30. That is a huge deal.

00:17:17

The only reason I say that I think it might be changing a little bit is just because last year, C. J. Stroud points per game was the fourth-highest of that stretch. You had Herbert in 2020, and now you've got these guys this year. It's always going to depend on the situation you're in and the offense you're in. There are players right now that... Caleb Williams was doomed to die until they made this change in offensive coordinator. The last two weeks, he's looked better. Did Caleb Williams just hook into the matrix and upgrade his software? I mean, it was a change in the offense.

00:17:51

A perfect situation for him to have to chuck it.

00:17:57

Yeah. Sean Payton is doing great stuff love with Bo Nicks, whereas, Drake May has booty right now.

00:18:04

Yeah, and no offensive line. I'm just thrilled that we have this draft class because it wasn't long ago that we thought there was an incredible draft class that had Trevor Lawrence and Zack Wilson and Trey Lance and Justin Fields. It was like Mac Jones was in that one. You were like, This is the future of the NFL. It was not.

00:18:30

How many touch downs does Sutton have on the year, and how many touch downs does McLaren have on the year so far?

00:18:35

I don't know those off the top of my head. You can look them up, but I know that both wide receivers are top 10. That is crazy right now.

00:18:42

Sutton is at Southern only has five.

00:18:47

Where's McLaurin?

00:18:47

Let me look that up. His name is Thierry McLaurin.

00:18:51

He is at seven. I'll talk over your search. Seven. Because we were talking about the one piece... Because I did an article on rookie quarterback performances before the year, When we looked at Stroud, and the one thing that we saw was that, generally speaking, they did not raise the bar unless they had a Hall of Famer. They could not get their wide receivers to those top performances or to double-digit touch downs. That's what we had seen historically among rookie quarterbacks.

00:19:17

Yeah, if they had Reggie Wayne or Steve Smith.

00:19:19

Keenan Allen. Yeah, Adam Thielen was one, ironically, the year before.

00:19:22

This is certainly breaking that mold because I think Terry McLorn and Coraline Sutton are good wide receivers, but they are not that caliber.

00:19:29

Number one Overall, Picks was generally a much higher bar than the other ones. But yeah, this is an outlier here to Mike's point of not overreacting. So that was ready to roll. 00:20:00

News and notes from Around the League, presented by USAA Insurance.

00:20:10

Well, rarely a week goes by where we don't have news on Brian Robinson Jr. Getting He binged up. He injured his right ankle in the first quarter, returned, and then was rolled out in the second half.

00:20:20

Him returning just visually, again, I'm not a doctor. Not sure people understand that about my background. That you're not a doctor? My background, yeah. The way I speak Sometimes it gets confusing. But that tackle was a... Uh-oh. Brian Robinson is in big trouble.

00:20:38

His season was over. When that tackle happened, it looked like it was-Was it a hip drop? It's a little bit like it, yeah. The player did come down on it and bent him back, but I don't think it was specifically a hip drop style at the beginning of the tackle. However, it was bent back over. You're worried about the knee as well because you couldn't really tell That's hip drop.

00:21:01

If the foot was- I'm watching it right now.

00:21:03

You couldn't really tell where the foot was, so you thought, Man, he could completely destroy his knee on a tackle like that. You could break your fibula.

00:21:12

This is exactly what happened to Joe Mixon when he got hip dropped and then tried to come back in that same game, then got rolled out. Then Joe Mixon missed what? Four weeks? Three. Three weeks. We've not had a lot to say about runningbacks on waiver day because- Well, and Austin Eckler- He's probably rostered.

00:21:33

Austin Echler, at the very, very, very end of the game, had a brutal concussion. He's getting the concussion protocol.

00:21:39

For a second time this year.

00:21:40

Yes, correct. So he will not play this week. Jeremy McNichols- Yeah, now we have a name.

00:21:45

Yeah, McNicolson has been pretty good in his opportunities. So I did not see the Echler concussion. Josh Downs left the second half with a shoulder injury for the Colts. That's a bummer. David Montgomery left the second half with a shoulder injury. They said he could have returned. And Dan Campbell said, When asked about Monte, there are bigger fish to fry, they could give him a week. We'll see. They could give him time because they are nine and one.

00:22:16

He was very... Dan Campbell, we'll see how he talks during the week. And it's their Thanksgiving, right? So they're in a game here in just a couple of days.

00:22:26

Yeah, that's true.

00:22:26

I'll just guess that Montgomery will sit.

00:22:30

He'll be fine.

00:22:32

Well, I don't have Montgomery on any team. He'll be fine, Michael. So I will guess that he will sit out.

00:22:38

He's totally okay.

00:22:40

Not a doctor, Jason?

00:22:41

Not yet, but I think he's absolutely fine. He's clearly going to play.

00:22:48

Can you imagine if Jason was a doctor, but he was treating the fantasy players? He was treating these players and maybe they- I think there would be a little bit of a conflict of interest, if I'm being honest.

00:22:58

Really? A little bit. If If they're on your team, you might give them different medical reports. Or if they're on my opponent's team.

00:23:07

It's like the QB is getting the concussion check. You're like, That guy, I don't think he's okay.

00:23:12

He's good to go. I'd pump him full of steroids and alert anonymously the league and be like, You got to test that, dude. Oh, he's out? Who's got the backup? Oh, I already have him? Yeah, baby.

00:23:26

I don't know if we're in jeopardy of Jason getting a medical license anytime soon.

00:23:29

Camal warfare and fantasy football.

00:23:30

You got to do what you got to do.

00:23:31

Just juicing some guy's coffee? Yeah.

00:23:34

It's helping them make them stronger.

00:23:36

Romeo Dobbs left with a concussion. They play on Thanksgiving, too. You might as well rule them out now. Garner-minshuh out for the year with a fractured clave So cool.

00:23:45

Thank you, Garner.

00:23:46

Antonio pierce said Aiden O'Neill could be activated off of IR as soon as Friday.

00:23:53

Which is their game.

00:23:54

They play the Chiefs on Friday. This is actually, as someone who has a Chiefs defense, this is devastating news. I was fully hoping I'd get the Chiefs against Desmond Ritter.

00:24:03

I don't know that you're really scared about Aiden O'Neill either.

00:24:06

I would not be. Aiden O'Neill- You've never seen Desmond Ritter, though? I've seen Aiden O'Neill.

00:24:12

Yeah, I'm thrilled no matter who.

00:24:14

Aiden O'Neill only has two picks in his four starts. That's not the numbers I'm looking for. I want three picks per game. I know Ritter can do that.

00:24:24

On the flip side, though, for people not just playing the Kansas City Chiefs, I mean, Brock Bowers takes a hit. Jacobi Meyer is like, This is a real shame that Garner Minchou is out because he's not a superstar quarterback, but he can- His competency.

00:24:40

He's competent, yes.

00:24:43

I mean, my Amir Abdullah You're Amir Abdulallah.

00:24:51

Dutavian Sanders left yesterday's game of the neck injury. Panthers rookie tied in. Oh, that one was scary. Still being evaluated. Yeah, that one was scary. And then Lad McConkey, still questionable for tonight with a shoulder injury. We don't need to get into Roger's news.

00:25:05

I think you at least need to- Okay. Yes.

00:25:07

The news that is spreading is that Aaron Rodgers doesn't want to play for the Jets anymore.

00:25:13

Well, it's all over the place.

00:25:16

It's likely that they could place him on IR or bench him because he's had a bunch of injuries and refused to get scans on the injuries because- The Jets, they're cleaning house already.

00:25:28

Coach gone GM gone. You got to at least pay attention to this.

00:25:35

That'll kill. Garrett Wilson, that'll kill. It won't kill, but it will-Devontae Adams. It's Tyrod, right?

00:25:42

Yeah, Tyrod Taylor. In his own right, though. If you're in a 2QB League, right now is the time this waiver week, tomorrow. Let's pick him up.

00:25:53

And it was also reported, I think it was Rossini saying that Rodgers wants to play next year, just not for the Jets. How You can't bring all your dudes over there and then leave them.

00:26:05

Oh, he can. I mean, if there is a villain left right now in the NFL, it's Aaron Rodgers.

00:26:12

I don't think he'll go out like this. That's the thing. I don't think he will just... If they bench him and put him on IR, I don't think he's not playing ever again, and this is the ending for him.

00:26:24

It's going to take...

00:26:26

He's owed $23 million.

00:26:28

It's going to take a strong team to take take him on.

00:26:31

Yeah, or a really bad team. It might take a bad, bad team. Carolina?

00:26:38

The parallel here... Dude, Bryce Young is That game against the Chiefs for Bryce Young was- He played pretty well. He played fantastic. He's played really, really well since the benching. But I'm saying the parallels of Rodgers and the Brett Favre journey, they continue to be hilarious. But the issues with- Oh, Minnesota? Yeah, the issues with Farve. Well, that's already been rumored, too. Yeah, well, they won't- Because if McCarthy just had a second cleanup on his knee- McCarthy's injury is looking longer term. Darnold probably has played himself into one of those Baker-type contracts for a team, so they're going to need somebody. But I'm saying the issues with Farve were, he just kept saying he was going to quit. It was like five years in a row, I'm going to retire. Did retire.

00:27:29

Yeah, it was just to skip training camp.

00:27:31

Yes, he didn't want to do training camp. It wasn't this stuff with Rodgers. This is a much bigger PR hit to take on.

00:27:40

Favre was likable.

00:27:41

Farv was- That's what I'm saying. I liked, even though it was annoying, I liked the FARV news.

00:27:46

You're forgetting how it was-by comparison to Aaron Rodgers.

00:27:49

It was awful at the end. I mean, Aaron Rodgers needed to die a hero. The line, you either die a hero or you live long enough to become the villain. He's He was 100% villain.

00:28:01

It was awful. The Brett Fivre saga of Will He or Won't He Retire was exhausting.

00:28:07

I remember it was exhausting, but I do remember that after it finally ended, I wanted him back. It was fun.

00:28:14

Part of his bonus, he came back and he played awesome for Minnesota. He was really good. Rodgers has not come back and been awesome.

00:28:22

No.

00:28:23

Winning gears a lot of stuff.

00:28:25

Well, I think you were not here when we were talking about it, Mike, but Devante Adams. Rodgers Super Bowl predated Adams arriving in Green Bay. Adams never won a Super Bowl with Rodgers. It was 2008 that Rodgers won a Super Bowl, which is now 16 years ago. The luster is gone.

00:28:43

There's no place that Aaron Rodgers can go and win. There's none. Yeah, I don't think so. They had a great defense. He was given all the weapons. He's got Brees Hall, Gary Wilson, Devante Adams. They did everything to help him win. He's not good enough. I mean, He's done. It's over. I don't think an NFL team gives him a job next year.

00:29:04

All right, that was today's News & Notes presented by USAA Insurance. Learn more at usaa. Com/insurance. We'll take a quick break and get back into our jump into the studs.

00:29:21

This week's fantasy stud muffins.

00:29:27

Well, we already talked about Jaden Daniels. He was number one on the week. Mahomes was number two, Tua Tungavailoa, number three, Caleb Williams, number four, and Sam Darnold on the back of Jordan Addison coming in at number five studs at the quarterback position.

00:29:41

I think Mahomes is an interesting conversation point because he spent a year and a half being irrelevant, not scoring 20 fantasy points pretty much ever in fantasy football. As soon as we moved away from him, about a month ago, he has been-We call that waddling.

00:29:59

When When you waddle back into relevance.

00:30:01

Three of the last four weeks, he's been a quarterback one, twice the quarterback four on the week, barring two night, and with good performances.

00:30:10

Look, it's a couple of factors. One, He has Hopkins. He's got worthy. He's got Juju back. He's got Noah gray. Can't be stopped. Has Travis Kelsey. He's got some players, and will soon have Pacheco. The other part is that the Chief's defense just isn't that good. It's good, but it's not that good. Statistically speaking, they're really good against runningbacks, but they are giving up points. The Panthers push them to the brink. And fantasy-wise, they're not scoring a lot of points. I think both of those factors Mahomes is having to do a little bit more of the running game without Pacheco. I don't know if that will change things. But yeah, these games are all close. Every Chief's game is close.

00:30:56

Next week is Vegas, then the Chargers for Patrick Mahomes. Let's all be hopeful. Let's all be hopeful that we can get the high-flying Kansas City Chiefs back.

00:31:07

Tua threw four breakdown passes. He threw for 317 yards, and he still couldn't get Devon H in 25 receiving yards. What is wrong with you? 24?

00:31:19

He was too busy throwing 144 yards to my dude Jalen Waddle.

00:31:24

Why? And then John H Smith has been just a revelation.

00:31:26

I think John H Smith is the new Tyreek Hill, right? The number one target for this team, the one that Tua looks for. Johnny has been so involved.

00:31:36

You mean 9 for 87 in a countdown? Because that's pretty cool.

00:31:40

Tyreek is...

00:31:42

What is going on?

00:31:44

We can't talk about that in the studs. We have to keep that for the-Okay, I'm sorry. There's another segment.

00:31:49

Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, no, yeah, yeah.

00:31:51

And it's about poop. All right? So it's right where he fits in. All right, okay. What a weird game for Baker Mayfield because he threw for 294 yards. He had a rushing shutdown. He did not throw a passing countdown as a guy continuing for that league lead.

00:32:06

It was such a weird game. If you weren't watching it actively, they are blowing out I mean, they're just destroying the Giants. And they have two drives in a row where basically what happened, and we couldn't understand. My co-manager in the League of Records, this is our quarterback. So we're watching intently, and we're like, Oh, they're up by a ton. They're not going to throw. And instead, they never ran the ball. They had drives in a row where they're up like 30 points. It was like a 90-yard drive, and I'm pretty sure 89 of the yards were all passing, and then they get on the goal line and rushing, touched out. I'm like, Stop it.

00:32:45

There were four players on the Bucaneers that had rushing touchdowns. It was Baker, it was Tucker, it was Irving, and it was Rashaad White.

00:32:54

So it was like- And they tried to give Tucker the second rushing touch down. He was on the goal line, so he He vultured the first one.

00:33:01

It seems like that's what they're going to be doing, man.

00:33:02

And then the next time down, they gave him another one, but he fumbled on the goal line, and they lost the ball. But Baker, he played outstanding. I mean, he has just been so good this year. I think you stick with him. And I would put him in that same category along with Bo Nicks and Jaden Daniels. League winner. Of league winners that you might not have expected to be at the beginning of the season.

00:33:24

We'll talk about his running back here in a second, because the running back studs this week. Number one, Saquon Barkley, who went Gee.

00:33:31

Napalm Barkley?

00:33:33

Just insane. I mean, he's now entered the MVP chat at running back. He has more yards in the last two games than, I think, three or four NFL teams. Jacksonville, for example. 26 for 200 and-Fifty-five. Two rushing touch downs and another 47 through the air. He was number one on the week.

00:33:55

In the last two games, he's on pace for 17-game pace of 3400 rushing yards.

00:34:01

Yeah, it's been wild. Josh Jacobs, three touchdowns, finished number two on the week. Baker's guy, who I've been trying to convince Al Borland is a great player. Bucky Irving, number three on the week, 12 for 87 and one. What I love about Bucky Irving, and this is coming from somebody who didn't think Irving would be able to completely unseat Rashaad White because of how great White is in the passing game. Well, Irving is great in the passing game, too. Mike was very quick to say, Hey, watch out for Bucky Irving in the preseason. Irving always gets the extra yard. When he is running, he runs with a ferocity like a James Connor. He is a tackle breaker. He out snapped, Rashaud White. Bucky Irving's fantasy output recently is... I mean, his last two start He's number seven and number three on the week. He is entering that category of... Look, they like to depend on the run in that offense. And if he keeps doing what he's doing now...

00:35:09

And it's not even just the run. Like you said, he's a very good pass catcher. I mean, that was what he was, I feel like, more known for in college anyways. But 6 for 64 through the air, in addition to the 87 hard-fought yards on the ground, he's been exceptional.

00:35:26

Yeah. So he's entering that category of, obviously, a must start, but maybe a league winner. Jamir Gibbs, 21 for 90, two rushing touch downs. Ho-hum, R-B-3 on the year while sharing the backfield.

00:35:40

I mean, he didn't share it as much this last game because Montgomery did go out with that injury and just stayed on the sideline for the whole game. I don't have the snap percentage in front of me.

00:35:50

No, but he did have his most opportunities of the year at 24.

00:35:53

Yeah, and I think that was directly because Montgomery wasn't there. So if Montgomery does sit on the short week, you're going to have I mean, your DraftKings' lineups need to all have Jamir Gibbs.

00:36:05

Tony Pollard, 24 for 119 and one in the upset. Devon Achan. He's so- Two touch downs through the air, and you can't get me 25 yards. You can't get me 25 yards. Him being in this studs with, what, 56 yards?

00:36:26

I mean, he was awesome. He was incredible for fantasy.

00:36:30

It's just...

00:36:32

You don't like multi-touchdown games?

00:36:35

No, I've said it on the show many times. I don't like how valuable touch downs are. If you have 56 rushing yards and you're a stud, or 56 total yards, I'm sorry. It's not a studly performance. He just scored twice.

00:36:52

Yeah, I agree. But that's also what the best ones do. When they don't have a good week, they still have a good week.

00:36:58

I want to show you. Jj tweeted out in his recap, the Sunday Dump. Devon Achan is averaging 23.2 PPR points per game in the games that Tua has started this year. Christian McCaffery, Last year was 24.5 PPR points when he broke fantasy football. In two of his starts, Devon H. N.

00:37:22

Is an elite fantasy player. Yeah.

00:37:25

All right. We had the nick Chubb game, two touch-to-end game on Thursday night. Aaron Jones got back into the mix this week. Good performance, 22 for 106. That's who Detroit will be facing, Chicago, on Thanksgiving. Amir Abdullah, 5 for 37 in the touch-down. Choo-choo, baby.

00:37:42

Choo-choo.

00:37:43

Thank you, Amir.

00:37:45

He played 90% of snaps.

00:37:47

We went seven years too late, but that's all right.

00:37:51

I never remember if I have to stop the train. I think I have to stop it. Yeah, I'm getting the word. It will go forever. Train. Can't stop. David Montgomery still You all scored before-Trains can't stop.

00:38:02

Yeah, that's what it was.

00:38:04

That's what it was.

00:38:05

Wait, what was that?

00:38:06

Trains can't stop. You can.

00:38:07

Yeah. Is that it? Yeah, that was the- That's a free ad for our friends.

00:38:11

Is it Netsa?

00:38:14

Yeah. Is it Netsa? It's Trains Can't Stop, You can't stop, but you can? Correct.

00:38:17

So stop.

00:38:18

It means they're not wrong.

00:38:18

Well, trains can't stop. But yeah, don't test the limit.

00:38:24

Because for a slogan to be like, trains can't stop in a reasonable amount of time, you can stop pretty quick, so you should be the one stops.

00:38:30

That doesn't get it done.

00:38:31

No, it's not catchy. It's not catchy.

00:38:34

Trains can't stop, you can.

00:38:36

Trains are huge, you're little.

00:38:40

Those were fun reads.

00:38:41

All right, wide receiver studs this week. Jordan Addison was number one, Courtland Sutton number two, Jalen Waddle number three, DJ Moore number four. Dj Moore. Yeah, I think in a lot of our flex discussions, I was cool flexing DJ Moore this week because the involvement, the force touches, the fact the offense looked more competent, give your good players the football. That's my number one offensive strategy. If I take over a team, that's what I'm going to do.

00:39:11

Wild, though, is- But they didn't do that in Minnesota. In terms of targets and receptions, DJ Moore was actually identical to last week. Seven targets, seven receptions, but this time, he was the wide receiver three.

00:39:26

Last time, he was not. Yeah, he had the touch downs. I think that that really helped him. The way that they are using him in the screen game post Shane Waldron's firing is so exciting because he's the type of player that if you use him the right way in the screen game, he can score touch downs, which he did on a screen, and he can score them from the 10-yard line or the 80-yard line.

00:39:50

Jason, we were saying it all wrong. It's stop, trains can't. They truncated from what we were saying.

00:39:56

Oh, they got even shorter?

00:39:56

It's pretty brief. Stop.

00:39:57

Yeah, it's just stop, trains can't. Yeah. It's just good advice to live by.

00:40:04

All right. Corland Sun continues his onslaught.

00:40:08

Yeah. Ten more targets caught, 80% of them. Two touch downs. He's the wide receiver two since week eight. He's on a heater.

00:40:17

And Pukina Kua Cooper Cup kept it going from just a quantity standpoint. Every week, they're getting double-digit targets. Jsn, he has been on fire. It is happening. Yeah. Every single week, it's happening. The last three weeks, he's been a wide receiver one for three straight weeks.

00:40:36

He's the wide receiver seven on the season. And I don't think- What? Yeah, he is. What?

00:40:41

With a deconsistency in his life.

00:40:43

Well, when you have a 33 It's a point game. Basically, three games at one, you juice your numbers.

00:40:49

But those are his last three games. Those last three games, obviously, very small sample, but that would be a 2,000-yard pace that that he's on. 130 receptions, a countdown a game. He's really elevated his play. They're just throwing so much, too. They are. Gino- Even when they shouldn't. On the course of the season, I think Gino has looked really, really good.

00:41:16

Yeah, and Locket is not doing anything.

00:41:18

He's on pace for 625 pass attempts on the year, which is a lot. That'll probably lead the NFL, I would guess. Yeah, Gino has his guys, and we talk. D. K. Metcalf is not in this segment, again.

00:41:35

Yeah, and I think it's more Tyler Locket. D. K. Metcalf still had a couple deep bomb shots that were really close to coming through. But Locket, it's been five, six weeks since he's had more than three receptions.

00:41:48

But we just got that question on the dynasty, Jason or Metcalf. Sure, yeah. Then you got another week where Metcalf is outside the top 30 and Jason is in it. So tight ends. Noah gray for the second time in three weeks sits atop our list. Noah gray. Do we care about this?

00:42:10

I think so.

00:42:11

I want to know because it's like... Sorry, For the second time in two weeks?

00:42:17

Yeah, the last two weeks.

00:42:18

I thought he skipped a week. No, he just scored two touch downs each of the last two weeks. Correct.

00:42:22

And it's hard to bank on that. He has four- You think? He has four touch downs on the course of the season. They're in the last two weeks. Chasing that seems wrong. However, the way that they're using him... Before the second touch down, I was just starting to ask the question as I'm watching this game. Should we be actually looking at Noah gray as someone that you can pick up and start? And then he got another countdown. It felt very much like he is an important part of an offense that... I mean, if they're looking to him around the goal line, it's hurting Travis Kelsey It's one of those things where if there are other tight ends in the category of, Touchdown or Bust, that you might start, which it feels like Tucker Kraft is that.

00:43:10

Yes. Tucker Kraft is, If you score, you're happy, and if you don't, you're not. If you're in that category? How can Noah gray not be in that conversation? If he's out there... I don't know what his snap count was this week, but I think Brooks is looking that up.

00:43:25

He was 44 snaps to 66 for Travis Kielsey.

00:43:28

Yeah, he played 76% of snaps the week before when he had that production, if you're on the field and you're getting open and they're having to account for Kelsey- It's possible. I'm not saying go get him. I don't think I'm fighting for him or anything. But if you are desperate, they did commit to him, three-year, $18 million extension in the offseason. So they are good at finding players to distribute the ball to. So Trey McBride, 15 targets I mean, 19 points.

00:44:01

Trey McBride clearly scored at least receiving touch to him. Impossible.

00:44:05

Wait, you think that just because he got 19 fantasy points? Yeah. Do you also think that because he's often wide freaking open in the end zone? Is that part of why- That's part of it, yeah. You think he caught one? There is some- Hex. Yeah. I think he is invisible when he's in the end zone. Kyler Murray cannot see him.

00:44:28

No, I think it's the opposite. I think he appears 12 feet tall to Kyler, who throws it to the 12-foot mark. And it's always... I mean, there have been so many wide-open touch downs. If you just threw it at a normal height. But anyways, 12 for 133. Honestly, this performance is annoying. It's great if you have Trey McBride, but it's annoying because it was just the product of ineptitude. This many targets to Trey McBride was the... It was like the last We just resort because we suck.

00:45:02

It was a binky. It was literally like Kyler Murray's binky was. Yes. Was Trey McBride.

00:45:09

Kyler Murray's binky.

00:45:12

Sometimes, I've never seen a more schizophrenic, split personality player than Kyler Murray. You come out, and he either looks like a world-class quarterback, top five guy in the NFL, carves up a good defense defense or a bad defense, can do no wrong. And then the next time you see him, it's like he's never played quarterback before. He has no idea what he's doing.

00:45:40

And it lasts the whole game.

00:45:40

The whole game, both times.

00:45:42

It's like you drink poison, and the poison doesn't go away. He never has a game where halfway through, he fixes it.

00:45:48

No, I've never seen him start with a bad first half and finish strong.

00:45:52

Let me tell you something. I am so happy I traded him in fantasy because this performance this week in a matchup that he should have been good in, that they were favored or heads up in, this performance has happened four times this year and caused you to lose your fantasy weeks. And then he'll bounce back and have two games in a row.

00:46:13

I thought you were saying I'm so happy I traded Trey McBride.

00:46:17

No, I said, I'm so happy I traded Kyler Murray. Okay. Because Kyler Murray is too volatile. It's not good game, great game. It's bad game, great game, bad game, great game. That'll kill you the fantasy playoffs. They have a great schedule. You got to win three matchups in most of your league's in fantasy. You're telling me you're getting three Kyler stud games in a row?

00:46:39

Maybe.

00:46:41

No. Maybe? I mean, maybe he's been the answer of his career.

00:46:43

Has he ever had three stud games in a row? Certainly not this year.

00:46:48

Not this year, no.

00:46:51

Okay, so Terry McBride was his binky, which is great that he's there.

00:46:57

Great for McBride. Great for fantasy. See.

00:47:00

John H. Smith, 11 targets, 9 for 87 in a countdown. He is the number one tight in since week seven. Outrageous performance.

00:47:09

He shouldn't be. I just feel like he hurts their offense.

00:47:13

I really do. Since he's been more heavily involved, they've scored 27, 23, 34, and 34 points.

00:47:20

What are you talking about?

00:47:22

He helps their offense so much.

00:47:24

Okay.

00:47:25

He hurts you and what you want Tyreek to do.

00:47:28

Yes. Tyreek Hill Smith is a better weapon on an NFL field than Jonu Smith. Do you disagree with that?

00:47:38

Yes.

00:47:39

You do. Jonu Smith is a better weapon on an NFL field than Tyreek Hill.

00:47:42

The last four weeks, he has been.

00:47:44

The results have been better for Jonu Smith. I'm saying the human being on the field.

00:47:48

We don't know the severity of Tyree kill's injury, but it's starting to show itself.

00:47:52

I don't think he has a hand. I think his wrist is broken off, to be honest.

00:47:58

I just think it's a little bit hyperbolic to say he doesn't help their offense when they're scoring a million points a game.

00:48:05

27, 27, 23, 34, 34.

00:48:08

Since he got on the field over 50% of snaps. I would say the opposite of what you said.

00:48:13

The last two weeks are the Raiders and the Patriots. They could have thrown to anyone. Odell Beckham could have had a good game if they wanted to go to him.

00:48:22

27 against Arizona's good defense. Buffalo, 27. 23 against the Rams.

00:48:27

You need to go talk to Tyreek.

00:48:29

He's the tiny one.

00:48:31

John, who is not the problem.

00:48:33

He's the problem for Tyreek.

00:48:35

Look, Tyreek- Targets are earned, baby. Yeah. You need to just unsay everything you just said. All right.

00:48:41

You are a weirdo.

00:48:43

Just recommend John, who Smith. Do that.

00:48:46

Never.

00:48:47

George Kittle, another countdown. I thought he scored two. Did one get called back? That's how connected I was this weekend. I was just in the blender.

00:48:57

He's 6 for 8, 2 with one.

00:48:58

I probably got the same text twice.

00:48:59

George Kittle, man. And that was without Purdy, who, as of right now, we are expecting Purdy to be back, but he's been- It did- George Kittle is so much worse for the offense than Debo.

00:49:13

George Kittle is amazing. He's killing Debo. He's killing Debo, man. It's so bad.

00:49:23

Are you mad at Debo?

00:49:26

No. Am I mad at Debo?

00:49:30

I wasn't mad at- I'm not even mad at the 49ers, that Debo, they scored 10 points.

00:49:34

You should be mad at Kittle because he's not mad at Tyrea.

00:49:36

No, because Kittle is awesome. Kittle is actually a great NFL tight-in, maybe the best in the league.

00:49:43

He's behind you. You Johnu since week seven.

00:49:46

You should be getting those type of players the ball more often. You guys are inflating bad defenses.

00:49:54

Oh, stop. They're scoring a million points.

00:49:57

Kittle has been marvelous.

00:49:58

Yes, he has.

00:49:59

So Well, those are bad defenses, though, just to be clear, Tyreek can't score against them?

00:50:03

Because of Johnu Smith, yes.

00:50:05

I want to go watch the film because I hope Johnu is jumping in front of the passing lane. I hope Johnu is literally leaping up and just stealing or grabbing it from Tyreek mid-play, because then I will agree with you. Hawkinson, back at it. 7 for 1, 14. Austin Hooper doing his best-Go away, Austin Hooper.hunter Henry.

00:50:26

Wait, no, he's so good. The targets are earned. Austin Hooper should get the ball a ton. Shut up.

00:50:37

Hunter Henry still had eight targets.

00:50:39

Hunter Henry had a pretty good game. Eight targets, five for 44. It was a little disappointing, but it wasn't a disappearing act.

00:50:47

You didn't have Tyreek in your DraftKings lineup this week, did you? No, I didn't.

00:50:50

Okay. All right. I would never. I see John who's involved in this.

00:50:54

The Scoon Man got into the end zone. The Scoon Man. That's a nice one because we had been talking about him, and it doesn't... When you have a really low-profile tight-end, it doesn't always go the way you hope.

00:51:05

Yeah, and only four targets. That was the most disappointing side of it, but he had a nice over-the-top shutdown that really saved his day.

00:51:15

All right, well, we'll take a break. We'll jump into some of those bad performances like Tyreek Hill. All right, let's talk Cuck. Pooped.

00:51:33

Pooped in his big boy pants.

00:51:38

Well, Kyler, we just talked about it. Didn't throw a touch down, had one called back on penalty. He had others he could have thrown, but chose to airmail Trey McBride, and he ends up with 285 yards, barely rushed. Kind of seemed slow to me. Or the Edge guys in Seattle, they were ferocious. Their defense played great in this game.

00:52:01

Arizona's defense-Bad, bad, bad game. Arizona's defense gave up what?10 points.10 points.Ten total. And the Cardinals lost.

00:52:09

Yeah, they were a double-digit fantasy defense and lost. Jared Goff, welcome back.

00:52:15

Not needed. It's a shame to be here, but Goff can always end up, since he doesn't have a rushing floor, if he doesn't throw touch downs, and they're all rushed in.

00:52:24

He wasn't needed last week, and he threw five. That's what was so annoying about it.

00:52:28

Yeah. You know who needed Jared Goff this week? Me.

00:52:33

Yeah. So Anthony Richardson. Oh, yeah. I played him, too. 11 for 28. This was not a good matchup. It never was. This one was the worst follow-up you can have to a QB5 performance because you had to play Detroit. They're just such a good man, D, and that is where Anthony Richardson has struggled. He was 10 for 61 on the ground. He did fight, and he did make plays, and a lot of them were called back due to penalty or dropped or really close.

00:53:04

Yeah, that was the story. It was just close, but not good enough.

00:53:09

The Lions defense is just really... They are such a complete team. Yeah, they- Such a complete team.

00:53:14

They're the best team in the NFL, and I don't think it's close.

00:53:18

Yeah. Joe Mixon, 14 for 22 on the ground after his monster performance. He was facing a Tennessee defense that's very good. Did catch five passes, but this was his first bus game after he had taken over running back one in points per game, I will go out on a limb. Saquon's got it now. Saquon's definitely got it after this game and what Saquon did. Somebody explain Christian McCaffrey to me.

00:53:47

Brock Purdy. I really think that Brock Purdy just made a lot of money this week sitting out because the packers would just sell out to stop the run.

00:53:59

I agree with this in principle, but I want to go deeper because I've watched Christian McCaffrey play for three weeks since he's returned. Even in the purdy game, both of them, I didn't feel like I saw the same player on the ground. Jordan Mason had a lot of success this year. He's sitting right now at 3.5 a carry through three games on the ground. You can throw out the last game. That's fine. He's a little bit higher. He's at 3.7. But McCafee normally overcomes those things, and he normally has a longer run. You know what I mean? His long run of the season through three games, 13 yards. To me, that part is what- No touch downs in three games. Yeah, That's the part that I'm more asking about is, will the ceiling arrive for McCafee before the end of the year? This division is broken. I mean, where are you putting him in rest of season rankings at running back?

00:54:58

I'll probably have him top five still. I think when Brock comes back as the season goes on, he has all of the work for what is usually a good offense, even if he is 90% of who he was last year. I mean, that's still probably a top five running back. But I get your fear and your concern. This is a guy who obviously has a significant injury that kept him off the field for a while. He's 28 years old. The San Francisco 49ers, they've got to figure things out really quick.

00:55:34

They got to get their groove back.

00:55:36

Yeah.

00:55:36

And I don't know if it's coming back. If purdy is not healthy. Jonathan Taylor.

00:55:46

Oh, man.

00:55:47

11 for 35.

00:55:49

Detroit's run defense is really tough. We knew it would probably be a bad game, but- No targets? No targets is the real problem. No targets and no opportunities, really, to score touch downs because... And again, we just discussed how good the Lyons defense has been. They shut down the Colts. The Colts could do nothing all game. But it was like the way that Jonathan Taylor is used is just not that good with Anthony Richardson. He doesn't get those leakouts, the check downs, the really valuable stuff that he's still very good at, just not the way that his quarterback plays. So I think you're going to Enjoy easy matchups, soft defenses, where you expect the Colts to win. In a game against Detroit, that's not the recipe for success.

00:56:42

James Connor received seven rushing attempts and had eight yards. The Cardinals, while struggling on offense, which, by the way, if you watch the Cardinals play football, the entirety of their success on offense this year has been predicated on giving James Connor the ball who breaks more tackles than anybody in football. They gave him seven attempts in four quarters.

00:57:02

Weird.

00:57:03

He caught five passes. He had two big plays, call back on penalty. It was a just disappearing effort. It was so frustrating because the way you win, if you're Arizona, is to hand the ball up, and they didn't do it.

00:57:16

Yup.

00:57:18

Well, it was rainy. You got to throw. Yeah.

00:57:22

Sorry. No, I got it. Yeah. Tyrone Tracy, 9 for 42, fumbled for the second straight That's the worry.

00:57:31

Also the worry just of how they were splitting up the work.

00:57:36

If you had Jonathan Taylor, you hoped you played James Connor. If you had Tyrone Tracy, you hoped you faced Ramondre Stevenson in his 8 for 13 with no catches.

00:57:46

You also had a shift. I believe that there were your boy-Yes.

00:57:52

Antonio Gibson out snapped Ramondre.

00:57:56

Ramondre was basically not doing anything.

00:58:00

They were getting shut out. Without looking, I don't know if you've seen this yet, Javante Williams had eight carries. Do you know how many yards he had? I do.

00:58:08

Eight carries, he's got to have at least- At least eight yards, right?positive yards.

00:58:12

Yeah, you would think so. What did he have there, Jay?

00:58:14

Negative two total rushing yards on eight carries.

00:58:17

It wasn't like the other two guys.

00:58:19

This is part of why I love Bo Nicks.

00:58:20

Mcafflin and Esteban also didn't produce good numbers, so they didn't run.

00:58:26

Mcafflin was the hottest hand.

00:58:29

Yeah, but wasn't he like 4 for 40 or something?

00:58:31

7 for 44. Okay. Sure. Yards for carry, that's excellent.

00:58:37

Jason's point is- But you can't play any of them right now.

00:58:40

Bo Nicks. Yeah, you're not going this- What did he do on the ground?

00:58:43

Did he run at all?

00:58:44

Yeah.

00:58:45

Did Bo Nicks happen to- Let me get his example. I bet he outrushed Javante.

00:58:50

Oh, barely.

00:58:51

He had five rushing yards this game. But the nice thing is, if you want to score, if you're the Broncos and you've got to score, it's not coming on the ground. The run defense, the offensive line, the actual runningbacks you have, they are a weakness for you, which is great news for Corland Sutton and Bo Nicks.

00:59:12

So wide receiver, Justin Jefferson, five targets, two for 27.

00:59:14

He got Jordan Addison. I mean, you kept seeing these- And Hawkinson, too. Yeah, but it was over and over where- I'm guessing you got Jalen Johnston. Addison was awesome. It just looked like They switched jerseys or something. Darnal, go deep. They'd throw the ball off the screen, and you're just hoping it's Justin Jefferson on the other side. And then you see this incredible catch while a guy is all over him, and you assume, Oh, that had to have been Justin Jefferson. And then the little itty-bitty Jordan-Adison gets up. He took so much that... I mean, Justin Jefferson had a bad game. Actually, recently, he's had a stretch of not great games. I mean, the last three weeks, he was the wide receiver 33, the wide receiver 29, the wide receiver 60.

01:00:06

You throw this one away. This is Jalen Johnson. He'll be back. You need to give the credit where it's due. Addison took advantage of the opportunity, but Jalen Johnson is an all-pro, followed him all over the field the entire game. And the Vikings did what they should do, which is exploit matchups elsewhere. I mean, Hawkinson over 100, Addison nearly to 200. Normally, Jefferson can overcome a bad matchup, but they didn't need to. By the way, if you were... Somebody out there definitely has been trying to figure out, Christian Watson or Jalen Waddle, which guy do I throw in for a big game? If you chase, you lose because Christian Watson had no catches. No catches.

01:00:52

Should have had one. Oh, yeah. That's like... He just had an epic drop.

01:00:57

I mean, that's his career.

01:01:00

Should have. I'm just saying, the three targets is really disappointing, but one of them was a catastrophic drop.

01:01:08

Yeah, and Jaden Reid only three targets. Honestly, San Francisco without Brock Purdy, they were so bad. This game was Out of hand early. I mean, three rushing touchstones for Josh Jacobs. It was a weird game. I mean, Debo had a bad game. Johan Jennings had a bad game. Ricky Pearsall had a bad game. That is part of what caused the wide receivers for Green Bay to have a bad game.

01:01:32

Two quick conversations here for what it was DooDoo Samuel. Is that what we called him at the beginning?

01:01:39

One for 21.

01:01:41

He was not playing as much. He was in an 11. And then on 12, in 12 personnel, he was seeding a lot of snaps to Ricky Pearsall, which is like, you should at least put your eyebrows up and pay attention to it because it's not been great for Debo this year. And then Jaden Reid, what do we make of this where you could go, Yeah, hey, he's the wide receiver 11 on the year, and yet since the first month of the season, After that, it's been like, he's had some good-ish games?

01:02:18

I think Jason's right about the way this game ended up, not having to throw it a bunch. But this is why I wasn't going to put Jaden Reed into the category of, Oh, I'm going to panic Trade City lamb for him, because he's not He's not consistent enough. He's not integral. He's not elite enough to go out there every week, no matter what, and get it done. I don't know if Debo is healthy. He was out with a calf injury earlier in the year. He was out He was injured with a wrist injury a couple of weeks ago. I think he's very injury prone. I think he's playing hurt. I think he's playing angry because this team is so frustrated. They're used to dominance. Now they're near the bottom of the division. Are they last place in the division? I'm seeing a nod from the 49er fan. Are they? Yeah.

01:03:05

Are they tied with the Rams?

01:03:07

The Rams are five and five, right?

01:03:09

No, no. Five and six. Rams and Niners are both five and six. Okay. One game out of first.

01:03:15

Yeah. Seahawks went from the basement to being tied with the Cardinals and then have the tiebreaker. So Tyree Keel, five for 48 in a game where Tua had 317 yards. Yikes. George Pickens, four for 48 on Thursday night. Snowball, not a bad game.

01:03:32

No, it wasn't a bad game.

01:03:35

What do you do with Marvin Harrison? Because Marvin Harrison Jr, you drafted him to be an every week start. He has not been then.

01:03:44

I mean, you're going to start him every week, and you're going to be... You've got to have him in your lineup to have the big performances. And this one was a millimeter away from- Yeah, I almost had the touch. A shutdown, and you would have been totally fine with this performance.

01:03:59

I do think you can make... I mean, do you disagree with me that you can make different decisions with him? Yeah, I mean- You do disagree or you don't?

01:04:05

No, I think that he is someone that you need to take a strong look at and see what your other options are. But more often than not, I think he will end up in lineups as he should.

01:04:17

I think he's still a top 24 play.

01:04:19

Here's the problem, though. You want volume in yards, and you don't get it. You've only been happy in the games he scored. No, he scored in five games. He's been happy in five games. Every other game. He has none of the... You talk about McBride. He has none of those games. I'm trying to look back here.

01:04:40

His yardage- He had 111 yards.

01:04:43

He had 111 yards in week eight.

01:04:45

130 yards in Week 2.

01:04:47

Yeah, scored in both of those.

01:04:49

He's a rookie. But he's averaging 49.6.

01:04:52

Yards a game. That's the- Right.

01:04:54

That's disappointing.

01:04:55

And not PPR guy. Three catches, five catches, two catches, six catches, three, zero, two. I don't know. Wouldn't you find yourself in a hard place right now if you go into next week and you just got what you got from Waddle and you got what you got from Harrison? Wouldn't that be hard for you?

01:05:13

That one, I don't think would be that hard.

01:05:15

You just go back to Harrison?

01:05:16

Yeah. Waddle has been so bad the entire season. One game feels like chasing.

01:05:21

But you'd play Sutton over more.

01:05:23

Oh, for sure. Sutton. I agree with your point. What about Addison?

01:05:27

What about Jordan Addison after that week?

01:05:28

I don't think I would go all the way to add us in there. It's like you said.

01:05:32

What about Tyree Kill?

01:05:33

What about Tyree Kill? Tyree Kill is a question mark. I don't know. Is Johnu active? Probably.

01:05:40

Then- Can you please say Hall of Fame or Johnu Smith when you say his name?

01:05:46

No, I refuse.

01:05:48

He's married to her often. So much worse. Number one in points, scored.

01:05:52

They're playing against bad defenses. For what?

01:05:55

Five weeks? They doing what they're supposed to do. Whatever. I don't like I just wanted to argue about Janu more because it's too entertaining. Rock Bauer's 4 for 38 to disrupt your parlay partay.

01:06:07

Well, unfortunately, that was partially that Garner injury at the end of the game.

01:06:13

In Janu. But 10 targets, he only got four of them. Kate Otton, one for 30. This one was concerning to me. Yeah, it's a bummer. This performance made me exceptionally happy I signed Asam Hill, because if the return of Mike Evans means Kate Otton is more hit and miss. I hope that's not what it means. Are you afraid of that?

01:06:36

Yeah, I think you are a little bit afraid of that.

01:06:39

Three targets, one catch, 30 yards. Last two times he's played 35 yards and 30 after the three-game breakout. So I think I'm scared.

01:06:52

I will still continue starting him. I need to see multiple games in a row What's multiple? Two. I mean, multiple means more than one.

01:07:06

Well, I just meant you were going to say of bad games? Yeah. Okay. So you don't consider the last game bad?

01:07:13

No, I don't think so. Just this one.

01:07:15

In terms of routes, he still led the team.

01:07:18

Let me just ask you a quick question. Pulling names out of a hat here. Totally random. Kate Otton or Johnny Smith? Moving forward.

01:07:25

Kate Otton.

01:07:27

What a liar. What a liar.

01:07:30

You're a bad- The trade deadline is over, Jason. A bad analyst. A banalist.

01:07:37

I don't like Johnny Smith.

01:07:38

I don't?

01:07:42

Sometimes there's principal.

01:07:44

Is it because somewhere in there, you're thinking back to last year, where it was like the fantasy community wanted to be Kyle pits, and yet John, who was the guy who kept doing stuff, and we were really, really mad at Arthur Smith for it. Maybe John is just a good player. Deep scars and burns.

01:07:58

Yeah, maybe there's some deep- Maybe Jonu's just a good players. Yeah, maybe Johnny just gets it done wherever he goes.

01:08:03

Maybe. Not wherever.

01:08:06

That's a bad year. All right. Laporta, three for 19. What a bust of a season for Sam Laporta.

01:08:12

The number one drafted tight end. And you know what?

01:08:14

He's not a worst player. It's just a complete team that can run the ball whenever they want to, that has a go-to wide receiver, that has an explosive wide receiver, that can play any way they want to play. They do not need to use them all the time. It's just a luxury.

01:08:32

It is. It's crazy. He had six targets this week. It just didn't turn into anything.

01:08:38

Last year, they didn't have a consistent number two receiver, and not counting the runningbacks. And this year, Jamison Williams has not been the greatest thing or anything, but he's earning targets on a weekly basis.

01:08:54

What was Jamison's line this week?

01:08:55

Seven targets, five for 64.

01:08:58

So he was their leading receiver?

01:08:59

He might have been. And Amun Ra was pretty worthless. Amun Ra was six for 62. Yeah, the last three weeks since Jamieson Williams has come back, he's had five targets, six targets, seven targets. He's definitely in. Oh, man. If these trends- If these trends continue.

01:09:16

Any parting words, gentlemen, before we move on to, Well, tomorrow we'll have waivers and streaming quarterbacks, then we'll get into the megalodon.
