Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.

00:00:23

Oh, welcome in.

00:00:28

Oh, brother.

00:00:33

Oh, brother.

00:00:34

Friday, September 18th, the Fantasy Footballers Podcast. Getting you ready for the weekend.

00:00:43

Oh, get out of here, Jason.

00:00:45

You're booing me.

00:00:46

It's not fair.

00:00:48

It's jealousy.

00:00:49

It's disgusting. It's absolutely disgusting.

00:00:52

Well, we didn't get— I mean, we didn't get 100.

00:00:53

We didn't even get into the game.

00:00:55

113 points. Not quite, but we did get 72 points last week.

00:00:58

You heard, I heard, and the people heard how long his intro was, how much flourish was in that introduction. He is so happy.

00:01:06

And that, of course, I am happy for the fantasy football players out there that had Lions and Bills that weren't named DJ Moore and Jameson Williams.

00:01:14

The Stallion is just—

00:01:16

did you have any, Andy?

00:01:18

I did have some. Yeah.

00:01:20

Which 3 did you?

00:01:21

I did. I had Josh Allen.

00:01:22

Oh, okay.

00:01:23

I had Amon-Ra St. Brown.

00:01:25

Oh, a couple of tighties.

00:01:26

And then the lowest scorer on my team. Kind of a stinker.

00:01:30

Must be a bad player.

00:01:31

Jahmyr Gibbs. Yes. So I have 103 fantasy points on Thursday with 3 players. Well, I mean, look, this is not— I don't think anybody would be surprised that Josh Allen and Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown had a nice afternoon, evening in Buffalo at Highmark Stadium. What a game it was. Josh Allen, 248 and 3 with 2 more rushing touchdowns, 69 rushing yards. And now has 9 touchdowns, 0 turnovers through 2 weeks. I think that's an MVP start so far.

00:02:02

Oh, it certainly is. He seems unstoppable right now. The Lions defense seems unstoppable in a different way. They are.

00:02:11

Hey, they're back for us. Thank you, Detroit.

00:02:15

Yeah, they—

00:02:16

sorry, Detroit fans, because that's not going to work out.

00:02:19

41-31 Bills. Jared Goff was a spot start. He ended up with a monstrous game. I mean, 4 touchdowns, 327 yards in the comeback attempt. Gibbs just 16 for 52 on the ground. They bottled him up after Montgomery scored thrice against Buffalo last week. But Gibbs had 6 for 61 through the air, had a touchdown. Amon-Ra has been— I mean, he's got 4 touchdowns through 2 weeks, 13 targets. Jameson Williams.

00:02:45

He's— yeah, I was going to say Amon-Ra is picking up for the slack of Jameson Williams, who is Goodness gracious, get it together, man.

00:02:53

2 for 33 for Jamo. Another drop in this one. Dalton Kincaid. Oh, 7 for 95. You saw DJ Moore go out early in this one. That was, that was a huge bummer. I mean, everybody played DJ Moore after last week and he dropped the ball in the end zone and ends up with an AC joint sprain, leaves the game, doesn't come back. I think he technically had negative fantasy points because he had like one carry. for negative 1 yards. And the latest report there, you know, will he be available this week? I'm leaning no, but it could happen. And he's— it's not a broken collarbone. That was a fear.

00:03:28

That— I mean, it seems like good news, honestly, like to be like, oh, you're hurt. But when he was crumpled, we all— if you've— we've all watched football long enough to be like, uh-oh, it's collarbone. Collarbone. And immediately you're like, okay, what's a collarbone? 6 weeks or more.

00:03:44

Yeah.

00:03:45

So it did— the fact that you're like, oh, maybe 1 game, that would be very good news.

00:03:51

Yeah. James Cook was awesome. 21 for 135 and 1, although he did have a couple of the— like they gave him his touchdown finally at the end of that game. But previously it was Allen a couple of times around the goal line, but he was great. And, and I don't, I don't have any stress going into the weekend anymore. I mean, this is This is wild. Yeah, the Lions defensive performance in this game though does— I mean, I said it this morning in our Slack channel. I was like, this helps me understand Baltimore -8.5 at home because the Lions defense through 2 weeks is a sieve. And you look at what Shuck did in the second half and it was awesome. But going to Baltimore against a different defense will be more of a challenge. I kind of get it. But this is how our, like, this is, you need multiple weeks of data to kind of start to fill in, you know, the answers to these defenses that are good and which ones are bad.

00:04:46

And well, they ended up, the Lions ended up with more defensive injuries, which is going to hurt them going forward. However, you also have to account for the fact that this is the Bills. Like, it's not just, oh, they're a sieve. Are the Texans?

00:04:59

No.

00:04:59

You know, the Texans just got walloped by the Bills. Maybe it's both and the Saints and Shuck are really good. It's still, still really small sample, but it's not impossible. They did give up 71 points through 2 weeks. And so yeah, it's, it is both and pay attention. Try to remember all of it over the next couple of weeks because once you're a month into the season, I think you, you really could start playing matchups and understanding what, you know, where things are at. 2 matchups, a little early.

00:05:29

Yeah. Yeah, this was, this was awesome. What a game. This is, I mean, it delivered. It delivered the magic.

00:05:34

Awesome.

00:05:35

And, you know, beautiful new stadium. Game was electric. It was awesome that the Lions kept it close enough to where the Bills had to, had to keep playing. I would, that was my worry halfway through the game.

00:05:47

Sure.

00:05:47

You had Lions players. You're like, well, like even them going out there and scoring on that last drive and going onside. I wasn't sure they were going to try to score on that drive.

00:05:55

When it went into the half, it was like, oh, this game is over. There's not going to be anything from the Lions. The Lions are going to disappoint. You know, universally, I, I had to watch the game afterwards. I had my son's show. So I knew what was going to happen. Like I knew the score at halftime. I knew, you know, that the, that the Bills won and then watching it after knowing that I was like, hey, this has got good replay value because these guys are awesome. And Dalton Kincaid genuinely, I think, is one of the biggest stories. 8 targets, 7 for 95. He's getting the yardage. He's getting The targets, he's getting everything that we had hoped and dreamed. He was, you know, it was my embarrassing—

00:06:30

You talked about Kincaid all offseason as, you know, hey, this guy is not dealing with these chronic injuries he's dealt with in the past. And yeah, it's 2 weeks. Stay healthy, Dalton. But right now he's delivering on your promises.

00:06:42

And there was even more like there was the Dawson Knox touchdown was a designed play for Dalton Kincaid. Josh Allen was, was booting out, but the defender Wise out of 3. That defender had to choose between 3 things.

00:06:57

And so he chose the right guy.

00:06:59

Yeah. Yes. The rookie, the best thing he could do was cover Dalton Kincaid and hope that the rest of his teammates could take the other 2 options. The other 2 options remained wide open. Yeah.

00:07:08

Running it in.

00:07:09

Josh Allen has decided that he will be a benevolent king and he will give Dawson Knox—

00:07:15

It was really a gracious decision. He could have just jaunted in.

00:07:18

He had to afterwards be like, you're welcome.

00:07:21

Yeah.

00:07:22

That was, you know, that was my touchdown.

00:07:24

And I—

00:07:24

you're getting dinner.

00:07:25

I've never said this before, but I was impressed with Keon Coleman throughout the game as well. DJ Moore, if he misses time, Palmer, Coleman, Shakir, maybe it's too many mouths to feed with the tight ends. But Keon Coleman, 6 for 63, caught all 6 of his targets, broke his ankle in half and then was fine the next play. I don't know how that happened. He went down in a heap and it was like, DJ Moore and him got hurt back to back and then all of a sudden he was fine.

00:07:49

And it'll be something to watch though, because that could be one of those swells up the ankle sprain that you can play through at the moment, but then you miss a week. Yeah.

00:07:57

And I, I'm sure our audience will not, but don't overreact to Joshua Palmer getting a touchdown in back to back weeks. This was like one giant, pretty broken play.

00:08:07

It was like the DJ Moore touchdown last week.

00:08:10

All right. It's Friday.

00:08:15

Foot Clan Friday.

00:08:20

We love you, Foot Clan. That's why every Friday we give a $100 gift card away to fantasychamps.com to a lucky Foot Clan supporter from jointhefoot.com. This week's winner, Sir Flop-a-Lot.

00:08:32

Oh man.

00:08:33

These are always sweet. LeBron?

00:08:36

LeBron is watching?

00:08:37

Jason, I had a Luka joke lined up and you went LeBron.

00:08:41

I mean, they both— they're—

00:08:44

yeah, but we hate one.

00:08:45

I would have gone—

00:08:46

they're king and queen of the flops.

00:08:47

I would have gone Embiid. Sir Flop A Lot, congrats. We'll send you that $100 gift card. Thank you for supporting the show. Let's talk some NFL news.

00:08:57

News and notes from around the league.

00:09:01

Nice little injury update. Zay Flowers returning to practice on Friday.

00:09:06

So Zaymond.

00:09:08

Zaymond? It's like Raymond.

00:09:09

Yeah. Oh man.

00:09:11

His birth name, Zaymond?

00:09:12

Oh brother, you're throwing me for a loop now.

00:09:15

Everybody loves Zaymond.

00:09:18

What?

00:09:19

Oh crap.

00:09:20

Throwing you for a loop as in maybe you get to play a really good player. Yeah, shut up. DJ Moore exited with a left shoulder AC joint sprain. We talked about it. I had a plan. Bengals expect Joe Burrow to play. Your plan was Devon Vailly, right?

00:09:33

Oh no, he's playing regardless.

00:09:34

Oh, okay.

00:09:34

Because he's a superstar.

00:09:36

Nick Underhill said Chris Olave hamstring left practices across the country.

00:09:40

You were talking about Devon Velay.

00:09:42

Yeah, I know. Olave though, the hamstring, we need to keep an eye on that. Hamstrings are popping up right now. Joe Burrow expected to play the back injury. Hopefully he'll be fine.

00:09:51

His back's just tight. What are you going to do?

00:09:53

Nico Collins is not going to play, right? Isn't that the news we got this morning?

00:09:56

Yeah. I mean, he's not practicing today. He's got a grade 1 hamstring issue. I can't fathom he plays.

00:10:02

The report we got was the expectation is he'll be out.

00:10:06

And genuinely, I know Dalton Schultz, the doctor.

00:10:09

Yeah.

00:10:10

Dr. Schultz is your start of the week. I, I don't expect him. I can't expect him to have more than 50 yards, but he might have 50 receptions.

00:10:18

Yes.

00:10:19

I mean, he is going to be peppered with targets.

00:10:21

Yeah.

00:10:22

Xavier Hutchinson, I think, had 6 targets last week. And then you remove a primary target. He'd be someone. Jalen Noll. I mean, that's the hard part is there's a bunch of different people, but Yeah. And booty. Nico Collins did not practice on Thursday, not seen practicing on Friday. We talked about it. Jalen Coker limited on Thursday with the ankle. Michael Pittman.

00:10:39

This one.

00:10:40

Yeah.

00:10:41

Not practicing on Friday, was a DNP yesterday and is in the— he is firmly in the I'm injured doghouse for Aaron Rodgers.

00:10:47

Yes, he is. Aaron Rodgers, if you listen to him this offseason, he talked glowingly about Roman Wilson and DK Metcalf and Pat Freiermuth and then was like, And then Pittman, you know, he hasn't been around. I mean, he was so clearly not happy with Pittman's unavailability due to injury. This was, this the injury he was dealing with through? I don't remember what, what specific injury Pittman had.

00:11:11

I don't, I don't remember. Maybe Kyle does.

00:11:14

I thought it was more soft tissue, but yeah, Kyle, if you can look up what Pittman missed a lot of the camp with.

00:11:20

I think he might be out this week and then you're talking the Muth might get Luth again.

00:11:23

Yeah. I mean, we're late in the week for, for Pittman. Pittman to be gone. And also DK Metcalf, who we talked about, he had one of the highest expected fantasy points. They were targeting him. They were giving him valuable targets, deep targets. It didn't work out because as Mike would say, he sucks. What?

00:11:41

I would never say that.

00:11:42

But I would say that Metcalf seems like a fine play.

00:11:45

Oh, he's a good play this week.

00:11:47

And I mean, honestly, because there's leagues out there where people You glossed over, but Roman Wilson, like 16% target share last week. Aaron Rodgers seems to already trust him. It's— I've smelled stinkier trash in my day.

00:12:06

Yeah. So Pittman was a hamstring through camp.

00:12:09

Oh, so this is even worse for him then.

00:12:11

It's just a new part of the leg.

00:12:12

Yeah. I mean, that's not good, but—

00:12:14

Is a foot part of the leg? No, no, no. That's a real—

00:12:19

your foot bone's connected to the leg bone.

00:12:21

Yeah. Otherwise it would just be your leg bone.

00:12:23

Okay.

00:12:23

All right.

00:12:24

Good. I didn't know.

00:12:25

No, I know you do.

00:12:26

So your hand is not part of your arm. Yeah, that makes sense. He's just working through it.

00:12:30

We're working through the science right now. 401.

00:12:35

Okay.

00:12:35

Very advanced.

00:12:36

Yeah.

00:12:36

Kalen Black.

00:12:37

Super.

00:12:37

This sucks. Wait, what? Kalen Black groin injury.

00:12:40

No.

00:12:41

Seriously? Butterfly stretch.

00:12:42

Let me check the website. Hold on. Let me check a couple of these websites.

00:12:46

Yeah. Let's see here.

00:12:47

He is on thegroinindex.com, but let me check butterflystretch.com.

00:12:51

Is he there?

00:12:52

He is also on butterflystretch.com.

00:12:54

Yeah. Stretch it out.

00:12:54

Oh, we got Jason's name on it. That's, that's probably for the best.

00:12:58

Jason Moore.

00:12:59

I'm just trying to teach people how to avoid those, those groin injuries.

00:13:02

It's simple.

00:13:03

Groin injury prevention.

00:13:05

We need to get the URL up there just for people that might not understand. Ladd McConkey did not practice again on Thursday, worked off to the side with trainers. I would not expect when you have a rib injury, I'm not saying Ladd's going to play, but what I'm, what I'm saying is, is if he's going to play, I don't think you would have seen a different path to playing this, this week because a rib injury, you're not going to take hits. You're not going to go out there and take hits until game time.

00:13:29

This is the last update we can give other than Sunday Live. Make sure you follow on YouTube and we'll be there an hour before kickoff. But I don't think that the advice could change from now till then. Let's say Ladd is active. Do you play him and who do you play him over?

00:13:42

Yeah, I would, I would say you play an active Vlad McConkey after what we saw last week. And I would say he falls pretty much right into where he would have been.

00:13:51

Oh yeah.

00:13:51

Yeah. I don't, I'm not going to discount it if they think he's good enough to go out there and the medical, you know, the medical people say, look, this is something people normally play through. I guess I'm still going to, I think the PPR stuff's going to be there.

00:14:04

To me, there are some guys out there that I would have played. Like I would have played Ladd, if he was healthy, over Mike Evans, Parker Washington, Tee Higgins.

00:14:13

Yeah, I'd play all 3 of those over him.

00:14:14

Yeah. Okay. So let's, let's go a little deeper. Davante Adams or Ladd?

00:14:19

I'd probably, I think Ladd with the, I mean, they're heavy home favorites again. I'm going to play Ladd.

00:14:25

Okay.

00:14:25

So that's about the waiver sensation, Jalen Coker.

00:14:30

He's got his own injury.

00:14:31

He does.

00:14:32

I would definitely go Ladd there.

00:14:32

Okay.

00:14:33

Really cool story here. Michael Penix throwing to practice squad receivers right now while Cooper Rush takes majority of throws with starters.

00:14:40

While they hope that Tua could somehow play.

00:14:43

What a disaster. He's going to be Cooper Rush again. Would you play Pat Freiermuth over Kyle Pitts?

00:14:48

Probably.

00:14:49

Yes.

00:14:50

Hunter Henry. I just had that thought. I just had that realization right here, right now.

00:14:54

Dalton Schultz. I mean, he should be out there in most situations.

00:14:58

Yeah. Luckily for me, it doesn't even matter.

00:15:01

Even if—

00:15:03

you're like, I'm just going to play Pitts. I am.

00:15:05

I don't need— I'm not going to—

00:15:06

I don't need to make a waiver move.

00:15:06

Your team, when you have 100 points from 3 players on Thursday night. Yeah, we get it.

00:15:10

Maybe I won't play any.

00:15:12

Just bench him.

00:15:13

Bench. I'll bench out of respect. Yeah, just to motivate.

00:15:15

But for those out there struggling at the table, my process is like, I, he's, of course, something crazy could happen for Kyle Pitts, but I don't care about that. I'm not playing him with Cooper Rush.

00:15:31

The one thing that I'll say is that the Pittsburgh defense is not the Carolina defense that gave up 59 points. So there's a world where I think Carolina will score against Atlanta and I think Atlanta will be able to score even with Cooper Rush against Carolina. So I mean, what's the over-under of that game? Do we have it? Is that only like 40, 41?

00:15:51

That's got to be, but they're heavy.

00:15:52

They're 3.5-point favorites.

00:15:54

Drake London is the biggest question mark to me. I mean, Pitts is an easy, Pitts is an easy guy to swap out, right? You've got Dalton Schultz. That's fine on the waiver wires. Grab him, play him, Hunter Henry. Whoever, all the, all the names we've been mentioning. But Drake London's a guy that, you know, that was your 2nd pick in a draft. And it's like Terry McLaurin, my start of the week, or Drake London, who's a way better player, more investment.

00:16:18

Terry.

00:16:19

Yeah.

00:16:19

Terry against Dallas. You got to do it process-wise.

00:16:22

43.5-point over-under for that game. 23 to 20 is the implied point total. Carolina favored. There you go. Brock Bowers not practicing again on Thursday. So he's so healthy that he's not playing.

00:16:36

Any second now. Not where he's second to second, guys.

00:16:40

I hate—

00:16:41

just stop.

00:16:42

You hate— I know what you're going to say. Wait, can I guess?

00:16:44

Yeah, you can guess.

00:16:45

You hate that right now you're hating Kubiak.

00:16:48

Yes.

00:16:49

I knew it because it's like we want to love Kubiak. He's such a brilliant mind.

00:16:53

He is doing this to us.

00:16:54

Don't be a turd.

00:16:56

Like you don't, you don't need to do it this way. No, not everyone. Like this isn't the standard. You could just like, I don't know.

00:17:05

There's plenty of coaches out there that are probably—

00:17:07

A little more honest.

00:17:07

Don't have to like, you know, I think about how, what a tight squeeze of information Aaron Glenn keeps. And it's like, okay. Aaron Glenn.

00:17:16

Is that, is that how you want to do things?

00:17:18

Oh, that's why he's winning.

00:17:20

I will remind people with all these injuries in late Mike will be live an hour before kickoff on Sunday on YouTube, youtube.com/thefantasyfootballers for Sunday Live. Come and submit your questions. You know, there were thousands of you on there last week. It was super fun. Definitely check that out. We'll take a break. We'll jump into the forecast.

00:17:50

Fantasy Forecast presented by PrizePicks.

00:17:56

Can I, can I like talk a little bit about my mindset with my super team for a second? Because I want to just deal with it.

00:18:01

Can you mute him?

00:18:02

Like we've done this show.

00:18:03

No, you can't.

00:18:04

This is not bragging.

00:18:05

We may cut you off at any moment.

00:18:07

That's fine. What I'm—

00:18:08

keep it clean.

00:18:09

We've done this show for so long. We've played fantasy for 20-plus years. I'm saying this is like a different— like I didn't think there was something I haven't seen before. But with— I've never had a team that looks this good on paper and should be good, but it's a 17-week season. So I don't even know how to feel about them playing well now because there's injuries and there's things that—

00:18:28

Dude, just go to sleep. Don't worry about it.

00:18:30

Yeah, you think it'll be fine?

00:18:31

I think you should just—

00:18:31

Yeah, I think you should do nothing.

00:18:33

Just rest on your laurels.

00:18:34

I'm so used to being a neurotic trader. No, and you don't need to. I sent like 12 trades out this morning and deleted them all. You sent them all? I did. I sent a bunch out because I don't know what else to do. I normally wake up on Monday and trade.

00:18:46

So trade.

00:18:46

Yeah, trade them away.

00:18:48

Well, I tried. People turned down my deals.

00:18:49

No matter what you do.

00:18:51

It won't matter.

00:18:52

It feels like it right now.

00:18:53

Yesterday we talked through the Panthers-Falcons game we just mentioned. The Vikings-Bears-Eagles-Titans-Steelers-Patriots-Packers-Jets-Browns-Buccaneers-Saints-Ravens-Bengals-Texans. That's how we— that's what we covered yesterday. 7 more matchups today starting with the Jacksonville Jaguars who looked great in week 1, 1-0 against the Denver Broncos who continue their gauntlet of a schedule to start the year. Broncos 0-1. Vegas line. Denver minus 2.5 at home. Over-under is 45.5 in this one. Jags won 34 to 10. Chiefs beat the Broncos 31 to 10. So bounce back. Do we expect it? I mean, the tackling by the Broncos was some of the worst statistically in history and—

00:19:37

So frustrating.

00:19:38

The worst I've seen with my eyeballs. It was insane. They looked pitiful, but they are well coached and a good team and should bounce back and they're at home and they're favored. So how much do you expect to see the bounce back and where does that translate in terms of fantasy? Like we've had our week 1 high draft picks that have failed, the Colston Lovelands of the world. Waddle's in that category. He seems like the biggest question mark to me on this team right now is like, do you have the same, like Loveland, you have no qualms.

00:20:06

I have none.

00:20:07

Throw him right back out there. Let's go. Do you feel the same about Waddle?

00:20:10

Uh, No, I'm not as strong as Loveland, but I'm letting more than one game happen. The guy with the brand new team, it was definitely a bummer. But I mean, he's— they brought him in for a reason. And I don't think that the— while the Jags were awesome against the Browns.

00:20:34

It was the Browns.

00:20:34

Like, I want to see their defense against not the Browns. Deshaun Watson before I start really formulating that opinion. So I'm— Waddle is right back into the lineup for me.

00:20:45

Just for, you know, Sutton, who is seemingly like the least popular player that could exist because Pat Bryant's sexy and exciting and Waddle's the new arrival. He led the team in snaps at wide receiver. Courtland Sutton had more than Waddle. He had more than Pat Bryant. I just, just noticed that he also had a target share that just trailed Pat Bryant. So I don't think the team looks at Sutton. I don't think they look at it as a, it's this guy or that guy, right? It's everybody, one big group. That's been a problem before with Mims and Franklin and guys getting involved and we expected Sutton to do it.

00:21:24

So this will be a week to me where if Jaylen Waddle doesn't have 8 targets, I will start being really worried that it will not necessarily be a 1A alpha That we're expecting, like we expected with the draft capital they gave up to get him, the money. Like they're saying, hey, he's our, he's our Drake London. He's our JSN. He's our, our leader of the wide receiver room and the target share needs to go through him. This matchup is very different than the Kansas City Chiefs. I mean, we don't know what the Jags defense is because they played the Browns week 1. But if you look at last year, they were pretty doggone good against the run. Most of the year and they were just an average team against the pass. So this is an average NFL matchup. This is a team that should be able to score on the Broncos because they're a good defense and that could get in the way of wide receivers. So to me, this matchup is like the perfect recipe for your average game where you can pass the ball. Does Jaylen Waddle get 8+ targets? Is he like the one for the offense or is he one of the pieces in the offense?

00:22:30

Are you playing Parker Washington on the other side?

00:22:33

Yeah.

00:22:33

Yeah, I am.

00:22:34

So yeah, I mean, 45.5-point over-under. It's not, you know, it's fine. It's good. It makes me wonder, you know, RJ Harvey, he had 51% of the snaps at running back. He is questionable right now. He's dealing with the Yoo-Hoo.

00:22:47

Yeah. Yoo-Hoo.

00:22:49

That'd be a hamster.

00:22:50

Yeah.

00:22:50

When you put it like that though, it sounds like something else. If he's out, we might finally see Jonah Coleman on the field.

00:22:59

It's true. And I think that's exciting. I don't think that there's a world you can start him. I'm not even sure if you can start J.K. Dobbins this week. Like I said, this is a team that last year was very good against the run.

00:23:10

You could start Dobbins.

00:23:11

I guess with RJ Harvey out, if he's out, Dobbins is okay, but I'm not bullish on him.

00:23:15

Really? Yeah. I would think that Dobbins will get more work.

00:23:18

I'm pretty interested in Dobbins. If Harvey misses though, this is, that's the window that Jonah Coleman needs. And like, because Jonah Coleman has to get on field, get some tape, start earning the trust. He has been kind of the biggest concern for, for the success of Dobbins. If an injury like this happens to Harvey, I don't think once the genie's out for Jonah Coleman that I think that's what ends up happening. But for this week, Dobbins will be in my starting lineup.

00:23:51

I like Breece Hall-Tuton a lot this week, although there was a report this morning that LaQuint Allen is going to get more and more 3rd down snaps according to Liam Collins.

00:23:57

That's fine.

00:23:58

So we'll see what happens there. Parker Washington is a start. Brian Thomas Jr. to me is a must bench this week. I would not mess around with the shoulder injury. He got knocked out early last week.

00:24:09

Yeah, I agree.

00:24:09

A good defense. I think you can find another option out there like Vailly. He can, he's the like, Vailly seems to be the litmus test of like the spot start this week.

00:24:18

He does.

00:24:18

But I mean, Pat Bryant on the other side, would you play him over Brian Thomas Jr.?

00:24:21

Yes, I would.

00:24:22

Okay.

00:24:22

Pat Bryant looks like he's in the, you know, Like Troy Franklin.

00:24:28

Jason.

00:24:29

Hey, it's Friday.

00:24:29

Yeah, I mean, if you want to go ahead and hit that. Sometimes you do it for the last time.

00:24:34

Yeah.

00:24:34

Hey, it's Friday. Sometimes you know it's getting recorded.

00:24:37

Troy Franklin's role in that offense last year, he got a ton of targets. And it's like, I think that's Pat Bryant's job now where even if Courtland Sutton's in there, you know, running on the field more, Pat Bryant's going to get more targets. And then just for Bayshawn Tuton, Tuton is a tackle-breaking machine. Like this is part of what he does. Kenneth Walker, tackle-breaking machine. I mean, the fantasy algebra doesn't always work out, but—

00:25:07

Make Denver prove they can tackle you. And if they're good at it, even when people do tackle well, yeah, that's a good point. Trevor Lawrence, I think it's not the best start. Matchup-wise on the road in Denver. But I, I imagine if you started him last week and got 245 and 4, you're going to roll him right back out there and trust Liam Cohen. And then Bo Nix, I'd find someone else to, to kind of lead my team until he proves that he can get it going. By the way, a quick update for you since we covered the game yesterday. I'll tackle this real quick. A further update on Zaymond Flowers. He did return to practice but did very little during the media viewing portion. Spoke to teammates and coaches, did not do any running during media viewing at all. So the full practice or back at practice thing, will he be limited on the official report? We have an Injury Blitz podcast that comes out Friday afternoon by Kyle or by Matthew Betz. I almost said Kyle Betz, which it's basically the same person. They kind of merge, although we are— that would imply an amount of technological advancement to Matthew Betz that he doesn't possess.

00:26:12

But Kyle just screamed, do not, do not combine them.

00:26:16

But there you go. Zay Flowers still very much in question. Mike, your plans now since you had—

00:26:21

That's so much worse.

00:26:23

You had plans to like not have Flowers and you were so bummed when Flowers was available.

00:26:28

Well, but he's not available.

00:26:29

Well, you should be happy.

00:26:30

This is worst case scenario.

00:26:33

Is it?

00:26:34

Yes.

00:26:34

Oh darn, the year of Mike. Las Vegas. Los Angeles.

00:26:39

Yeah, I did like when you're like, I've never seen this. with my team. Super duper champ over here.

00:26:45

Oh, you know, there's a big difference in what I was talking about. You ended— I just want to be in the playoffs. You didn't go into the season like you had. Josh had a better record than you last year.

00:26:56

Yes.

00:26:56

That's all I'm saying. Like, I think it's a, it's a heavy burden to bear.

00:27:01

I don't know what I'm saying.

00:27:02

I don't know why Josh is catching strays over there.

00:27:04

Catching strays by having the best record and then losing.

00:27:08

You just gave him the stray.

00:27:10

It was implied.

00:27:12

Mike is all over the place. The Raiders 1-0 against the Chargers 0-1. Of course, Vegas line Chargers -6.5, overruns 43.5. What I saw— what? No, I know I already hit the button once. But what I saw on tape last week from the Raiders defense in particular and the Chargers offensive line against the Cardinals. Brings me great concerns here.

00:27:36

There are 3 things that have happened in the last few days. One is the Chargers are favored by almost a touchdown. So it's like, okay, the complete forgiveness. The Chargers are going to be totally fine. Then there is the— we were looking at MVP odds after the game last night for quarterback. And right there, last on the list, you could still bet on Justin Herbert. And it's like, Brother. Oh, you're just— and then we were doing our—

00:28:07

because they know we were doing— they know they could just— all the Herbros are like, yeah, fine, give me your money.

00:28:12

We were doing the picks.

00:28:13

Dumbo.

00:28:13

We were like, we every, every week we have like a—

00:28:16

just like an office pool for the picks.

00:28:17

No money, just a pool where we're picking the lines every week. And I come to this matchup and I'm like, who do I click? 6.5. And I was like, oh, you know what? I'm going to click on the Chargers. I'm going to completely forgive them. And I mentioned that and then Mike's like, I kind of am too. But it's like, it feels like we know it's a trap. We are this week against the Raiders at home. Dude, Chargers, Herbert, you have got to get it together and send a message.

00:28:48

If you don't win this game, I'm about to tell you the story of stories. You ready?

00:28:52

Yeah.

00:28:52

If you don't win this game at home against Las Vegas, because by the way, the Cardinals were supposed to be the easy one. And this one too. Let me tell you what they're doing next.

00:29:00

Oh, their schedule. Yeah.

00:29:01

Just listen. Just watch the plane fly around the country here. You ready? Week 3 at Buffalo.

00:29:08

Oh, okay.

00:29:09

But don't worry, Jason. Week 4, you want to get back on track. You just started off with a tough start at Seattle. Okay.

00:29:15

Wait, guys, they go from Buffalo to the Super Bowl champions.

00:29:18

Then you play Denver, Kansas City, the Rams, Houston, Baltimore the next weeks. What? I'm not joking. Buffalo, Seattle, Denver, Kansas City, the Rams, Houston. 4 of them on the road. You got in Los Angeles against the Rams. They'll be back in this building Sunday.

00:29:38

You have 2 days to figure everything out because that's it. You got 2 days left to fix it all.

00:29:43

So yeah, this is, this is completely the most important game of their season right now because you are staring down Bye week winlessness potentially. You could be 0-6 going into the bye. It's not impossible. 3 of 4 after this week, 3 of your 4 games are at Buffalo, at Seattle, at Kansas City.

00:30:03

You have to imagine they are decent underdogs in all 3 of those.

00:30:06

Yes.

00:30:07

Yes. So yeah, Mike McDaniel, he said it was a case of humble pie and losing to the Cardinals. Yeah, it tasted—

00:30:14

How dare you?

00:30:15

Humble pie tastes terrible.

00:30:16

How dare you?

00:30:18

All right. Start-sit decisions in this one. You know, the Hampton thing. I think last week it's like, what are you watching this week? What are you looking for confirmation on or continuing to keep an eye on to see what your decisions are? You know, Hampton this week, that's where my eyes are. I want to see this guy play well. There has been some talk in the past, you know, 3 or 4 days about the scheme fit not necessarily being right. Ladd McConkey, the injury, him not out there. They looked way worse on offense without him out there. Mike, you're throwing your hat in with Quentin Johnston this week.

00:30:58

Yeah. I mean, understand what it is, but yeah, I think you can play him.

00:31:03

Yeah. And then other than, you know, Herbert, you going back to him this week or are you trying to pivot?

00:31:11

I'm going back. The, you know, just like the, we were saying about Jacksonville playing the Browns, Raiders played Miami, who Miami's, Miami's probably going to end up being the worst team in the NFL. So let's see some more from, from the Raiders. And until, until they give me a reason to really believe and not target them, then I'm going to do it. So I'll play Herbert.

00:31:36

Gente was great in week 1, got the ball a lot in the receiving game. You can play him. Bauer's probably not playing. You probably have better options than Michael Mayer, although he led the team in targets last week. So he's not the worst. I don't think it's complicated on the Raiders side in terms of starts.

00:31:53

Correct.

00:31:54

I mean, you're not playing a wideout on the road, 6-point underdogs. You're not playing Cousins. You're not playing, probably not playing a tight end. So, you know.

00:32:03

Jack Bash is on pace for 17 touchdowns.

00:32:05

Thank you. Thank you for that. The Washington Commanders 0-1 taking on the Dallas Cowboys who are 0-1. Vegas line, Dallas minus 3.5 at home, over-under 50.5.

00:32:17

As Kyle would call it, the backwards hat versus the visor.

00:32:20

That's right. Yeah. You've got Dan Quinn with the backwards cap. Looks so cool. And then the visor on Schottenheimer.

00:32:28

You know, the idea of visors is very funny because you're like, you're not going to cover the head.

00:32:32

Yeah.

00:32:33

You're like, I want to shade the eyes, but it's a little too warm on the top of the dome. How do we possibly?

00:32:39

You don't want hat hair, but you know, you still get it.

00:32:42

Visor hair, man.

00:32:43

Yeah.

00:32:43

It pushes.

00:32:44

The worst part of hat hair is the front when everything is, is, is divoted to the back.

00:32:49

Yeah. It's a forced, you know, front cowlick. Cowlick. Yeah. All right. Start-sit decisions in this one. Dak, Jayden Daniels. I think they're both in your lineup, right? Dak has got a—

00:33:00

Dak is the highest projection of the week on PrizePicks with 266.5 yards.

00:33:05

Yeah.

00:33:07

I think I would agree with this.

00:33:09

I mean, these were, these were 2 of the worst defenses in football last year. And, you know, the Commanders definitely didn't get blown out in week 1 against Philly. I think they looked okay, especially stopping Saquon. But yeah, you're starting all your, your stars in this one. JCM, Mike.

00:33:26

Yep.

00:33:26

Your start of the week. Jason, you're going to give Terry McLaurin a pat on the butt and say, hey, this is your week against Dallas.

00:33:32

50.5, man.

00:33:33

Yeah, he should be, he should be absolutely fine.

00:33:36

I think that means that Diggs should be fine. And I think, oh yeah, Antonio Williams is interesting to keep an eye on.

00:33:41

There was a, can't credit it, I apologize. But before the season started, you know, it was, I don't necessarily think it was like a bold take, but it was a, like, these are things that I, that are, that are a little spicier, but we truly think can happen out of Washington. They're like, Diggs is probably going to lead this team in receiving yards. receptions and yards and stuff just based off of what he does versus Terry McLaurin.

00:34:06

So is Diggs the safer play between Diggs and McLaurin?

00:34:09

Oh, I think he is.

00:34:09

I think he's a higher upside.

00:34:11

Yeah.

00:34:11

So would you start Diggs or Vailly?

00:34:14

He's got both. Mike has both. He probably, he's probably starting both.

00:34:19

I will be starting both. But if in the, if you had to pick one, I'll play Diggs.

00:34:24

Me too.

00:34:24

Really?

00:34:25

Yeah. I would definitely play Diggs. I would play Diggs over McLaurin. For sure. In any situation, man. But so, but that's also, you know, it feels hot. Yeah. But I don't know, man. I, I'm very interested in what this offense is going to turn into with these 3 guys. Dallas is always easy. Dak, CeeDee, George, put them in your lineup. Javonte Williams. Yep. Put them in your lineup.

00:34:49

The only one that's difficult for some people out there is Jake Ferguson. He's a name that people think, oh, should I start him in? And probably not.

00:34:56

It probably not. He's still running tons of routes. So you might get It's a great matchup.

00:35:01

Yeah. The Commanders have been bad against the tight end position. So there's that going for you.

00:35:08

But no, he hasn't hit double-digit fantasy points since week 7 of last year. When George and CeeDee are available, Fergie takes the back seat.

00:35:18

Yeah.

00:35:19

Seattle's 1-0, Jason, taking on the Arizona Cardinals who are also 1-0, pretty much the same as the Champs.

00:35:24

As everybody saw coming.

00:35:26

Vegas line, Seattle minus 3.5 on the road. The over-under is 40.5. This is the 2nd lowest total of week 2. And it makes sense because it's part 1, backup quarterback Drew Lock. Part 2, great defense against Arizona should be able to slow them down. Could the Cardinals start 2-0? Seems that it is in the realm of possibility.

00:35:51

Yeah. Because they are 1-0.

00:35:54

Right. Yeah. Yeah. The math checks out there.

00:35:56

I was with you in terms last week of the almost upset because the spread was just 10.5. That's too egregious against a team that has a potent offense. This one though, the Seattle defense is just so elite that it would surprise me a lot.

00:36:19

Well, then does that impact your start decisions for Arizona? You know, Jeremiah Love, is he a lock in your lineup?

00:36:25

It's brutal. You look, the PrizePicks projections on both Jeremiah Love and Allgeier are pretty much neck and neck when it comes to rushing yards. 37.5 for Love, 36.5 for Tyler Allgeier.

00:36:35

Those are not high numbers.

00:36:36

No, they are. For Jeremiah Love, the nice thing was, I mean, they gave him the, what, the carry inside the 5. I think they were inside the 5 when he got the touchdown, but whatever. They were very close and the targets are going to go. to Jeremiah Love, but it, this will be a pretty split backfield. I think you're, I think you're flipping a coin like week to week as right now the way things are between who's more valuable of Allgeier or Jeremiah Love, which feels disgusting.

00:37:05

Cardinals at home. Jadarrius Price had 48% of snaps. Would you play Price over either Cardinal in this matchup?

00:37:13

That is so brutal.

00:37:14

You know, Hampton got slowed down last week by Arizona. I mean, very surprisingly.

00:37:18

It really seems like you right now can expect kind of 50%-ish of the snaps for Price. The matchup is still significantly better. I know, I know Hampton was green though.

00:37:31

I mean, the Walter Nolan addition for the Cardinals versus what he— they didn't have him for a lot of last year. I think that's making a difference on the interior.

00:37:38

So Andy, do you— where's your confidence with Price in terms of the goal line?

00:37:44

Not high. That's like, no, I mean, I, but it's not a problem either. Yeah. I mean, I think one guy has a Salami problem and one guy's got an Allgeier problem. But I think Jeremiah Love is the better player and that's the player I would go.

00:37:56

That's how I have him. I was looking at my rankings. I have him 24 and 25.

00:38:01

Love hasn't had a Salami problem at some point in time.

00:38:05

I mean, who, yeah, who amongst us?

00:38:06

Who amongst us? Jackson Smith-Njigba. Yep. Michael Wilson, Marvin Harrison. You got one of these guys. You got to play a Cardinal receiver. Throw Kendrick Bourne in the mix. Which guy do you start?

00:38:17

Michael Wilson.

00:38:19

Yeah. See, that was very definitive because it wasn't before week 1. And that says something.

00:38:24

When you— Marv, Marv is a player. I'm not dropping Marv. Not yet. But he is definitely one where it's like, I have to see it happen. before I have any level of confidence.

00:38:39

So here's the weird thing. So Seattle, right favored, Super Bowl champs, great defense. Is JSN the only player you're playing on this team?

00:38:45

Yeah, pretty much.

00:38:46

I mean, are you trying to find an alternate to J'Darian Price?

00:38:49

No, I think he's a, he's a fine running back too.

00:38:51

Yeah, I've got him at running back 24, so he's, or 25, so he's playable. But I don't, I'm not excited about Price. I mean, genuinely, I'm not excited about most players in this game. You talked about it at the beginning. It's one of the lowest over-unders on the week. Obviously JSN is great because of his talent and also because his target market share is outrageously otherworldly. He's just the whole offense. Trey McBride, JSN, those are the only 2 people I really want to start in this game.

00:39:22

Marvin Harrison, where are you right now after one week? He ran go routes. He was bracketed.

00:39:27

He looked okay going back and watching. With a drop? Obviously he had a drop.

00:39:31

It was a pretty okay drop.

00:39:33

I rewatched that. That was, that was not an easy catch. That was a blast across the middle way behind him. Yeah, I'm not sure he could have caught it.

00:39:39

Yeah, depending on— it was much different angle made it look much more difficult. I think Marvin Harrison will be involved. He was open on a lot of routes. And the thing is, is he wasn't necessarily targeted, but the plays still worked. I mean, you had Kendrick Bourne with 8 catches, Michael Wilson with 5. The offense was humming. But I don't think Harrison did anything bad. I don't, you know, I, I believe that in certain weeks he's going to be fine. This isn't the matchup I want to be like, I'm going to call my shot on Marv. I think Marv is involved. I think Marv will get, you know, more than 35 yards. But I don't sit there and see he's going to have 102 touchdowns.

00:40:26

Ad break coming up. We'll get into the Dolphins and 49er game. By the way, play Trey McBride. If you, if you weren't planning on it, please do that. Play him. He's, he's pretty good at football. And so far, pass rate above expectation, like Arizona, Jacoby Brissett.

00:40:40

It was still high.

00:40:41

The drum continues to beat for that, that offense. They look good in week 1. It would be a huge win against Seattle in week 2. And it'll probably be more of a dogfight, I think, this week. The Miami Dolphins. Oh boy. 0-1 with a rough week 1. Go to San Francisco.

00:41:07

0-2.

00:41:08

Yeah. I mean, this one is wild. San Francisco. It's not 13.5 anymore. It's San Francisco minus 12.5. The over-under is 44.5.

00:41:15

Cowards.

00:41:16

I am shocked that the line moved that direction.

00:41:18

Cowards.

00:41:19

So that's an implied point total for the, for the Dolphins of 16.

00:41:24

And that's a bad number.

00:41:25

28 for the, for the 49ers. So in the Brock Purdy era where 49ers teams have been favored by 10 or more points, it's happened 9 times. They were 9-1 and they scored more than 27 points in all 9 games. They deliver when heavily favored. And it's a hard, it's a hard bet to say Miami's going to deliver. We are We are gathering information on these rookie wideouts, I think, for Miami that, you know, Caleb Douglas looked amazing in week 1, 94 receiving yards in your debut. That is the 3rd highest debut for a day 2 wide receiver over the last decade. Chris Bell, only 52% of snaps in week 1, 1, 2 targets, 1 drop, 1 catch. And then Malik Washington still had a number of targets in this game. Didn't see a lot from Dulcich. That was something we were watching.

00:42:13

Yeah, it was.

00:42:14

But they're probably going to be playing from behind. You're looking at your value for Achane to be coming in the receiving game or the big play. So I, it's hard to have much of an expectation. You don't bench De'Von Achane, but the other guys in this matchup, you're not wanting to play any of them.

00:42:32

Yeah. The only one that I might put out there in that Vaillant tier would be Caleb Douglas. You know, if you're getting As much work as he got in his first week as a rookie, you're going to be down and you're going to be throwing the ball a lot. I expect targets to go to him with 16 implied points. You don't, you don't assume that he's going to have a lot of huge fantasy success. So he's like just a PPR floor play. That would be the, the second player on this offense outside of Achane. I guess, I guess Malik Willis in certain situations because of his rushing upside would be there. But yeah, I mean, you just don't want Dolphins. The team stinks.

00:43:12

You want some 49ers?

00:43:13

Yes, please.

00:43:14

By the way, Malik in that stinky week 1 still ended up as the quarterback 13 on the week.

00:43:19

And he looked bad, in my opinion. I don't think he played well. Which is, you can make the argument like, oh, that's good news.

00:43:28

I mostly agree with you.

00:43:29

Because he can, you know, he can figure it out, get more. He's working with—

00:43:32

220 passing yards, 39 rushing yards.

00:43:34

Well, I just mean like his accuracy. I felt like there were a lot of bad throws, but at the same time, he's dealing with 2 rookies playing a ton of snaps that one of which he didn't really play with through camp. So could be brighter days.

00:43:47

I mean, to your point of like Malik Washington led the team in target share.

00:43:53

Yep.

00:43:53

And air yards. And Caleb Douglas was the talking point because he's the one who actually got the production. It was like Malik Washington should have had the production, but Willis didn't get it to him.

00:44:05

Brock Purdy is my start of the week. Christian McCaffrey, yes please. Kaylen Black with the injury report. Will they bring somebody else up? Will he be okay? We'll see. He was 43% of snaps in 15 opportunities last week.

00:44:16

Would imagine Jordan James is not a healthy scratch if Kaylen Black can't play, but would also imagine Christian McCaffrey is just going to get all the work.

00:44:24

I would—

00:44:24

I had— I've had Jordan James on my dynasty team for 3 years. Or 2 years, however long he's been in the league. I dropped him this week with Caleb Black's emergence and I just needed to pick somebody else up. It's just ironic. It's just one of those things where—

00:44:36

I think it's going to be okay.

00:44:37

It doesn't matter. Yeah, it doesn't matter. Mike Evans, you play him. Deebo, I think you're good there too. I think both these guys, spot start DeMarcus Robinson if you're desperate. I mean, 2 catches last week after the departure of Stribling. You're looking for the touchdown with Robinson and George Kittle. Limited practices. You're going to see more of that. Only played 46% of snaps, but now Tonja Smith-Basketball is out for the year.

00:45:02

Yeah.

00:45:02

I mean, Tonja's not an alternative option for this team.

00:45:05

Kittle to me showed me enough to where I'm really excited for the second half of the year and also absolutely not starting him now. So he is just a roster call.

00:45:14

Schultz. Yeah.

00:45:15

All those. Jwan Johnson.

00:45:16

Yep.

00:45:17

Goddard. All those guys.

00:45:18

All those guys I'd start over Kittle.

00:45:20

Or Kittle?

00:45:22

Who's the quarterback for Atlanta?

00:45:24

Cooper Rush.

00:45:25

Then Kittle because he could get a touchdown.

00:45:27

Harold Fannon or George Kittle?

00:45:29

Oh, that's a good one. Disgusting. Fannon.

00:45:31

Yeah, I go Fannon. Colts Sunday Night Football taking on the Chiefs. We get more primetime Ken Bone Walker. Chiefs minus 6.5, over-under 46.5.

00:45:40

Good work, schedule people. Honestly, the schedule people need to relish in his greatness.

00:45:45

These first 2 weeks, schedule people are kicking butt. I mean, these These primetime games are fantastic.

00:45:52

Read the Eric Bieniemy quote.

00:45:53

Yeah, I will. This is for Mike, but it's also for everyone else out there who drafted Kenneth Walker. Eric Bieniemy, who Mike brought up all offseason as one of the reasons he loves Ken Walker in Kansas City.

00:46:04

I hadn't seen this.

00:46:05

You haven't seen this quote?

00:46:06

Oh, he says, quote, you want to read it?

00:46:08

Yeah. Why don't you read it?

00:46:09

Sure. He says, quote, ideally, what did he have? 23 carries? Some people have carried a whole lot more than that. So I don't think you want to put a limit on anything. I think sky is the limit. Oh, brother.

00:46:23

This is delightful.

00:46:25

I mean, it's why he went to Kansas City.

00:46:27

My bone, bro.

00:46:27

Yeah.

00:46:28

Oh, another.

00:46:29

Yeah. I don't like being Eiffel Tower. I need to get Kenneth Walker in one of these leagues so I can join in.

00:46:37

Good luck with that.

00:46:38

I know it's over.

00:46:39

I can't.

00:46:41

I mean, look, barring injury, which is the story of all players, you know, Christian McCaffrey and all these guys, he's going to be so good every week.

00:46:51

Running back, defense and run the football early on in the year for fantasy football. You want to see utilization. How are they using players? Kenneth Walker is going to be everything. It's like, maybe he can't, you know, all the What sucks about this situation is like the people that if Kenneth Walker gets hurt, which he probably will because he's playing NFL football, he's most likely going to get hurt because running backs get hurt. Goodness gracious, the victory lap on Kenneth Walker missing a game or two is going to be so obnoxious. They're like, I told you. Yeah, he plays football. He's probably going to get hurt.

00:47:34

24% of top 24 running backs over the last 10 years play in a complete season. So you have a 3-quarter chance, you know, 75% chance that you're going to miss a game. Rashee Rice, guys, 2 for 19 last week.

00:47:47

Troubling.

00:47:48

Was terrible. If you look at the separation scores in week 1 in terms of being able to, you know, get apart from the DB. I think you're going to play him in this game. I don't think you don't play Rashee Rice, but you are— you're tempered expectations probably.

00:48:08

Absolutely. I think if you have Rashee Rice, you are praying for a touchdown and then you are trying to ship him out of town as soon as humanly possible. The utilization— and I know he's coming back from the knee injury. Maybe it'll completely change, but I think this is an Eric Bieniemy and Kenneth Walker change of offense where Rashee Rice isn't just the, hey, I'm going to target you pretty much every other passing play.

00:48:36

They had no one else.

00:48:37

Yeah.

00:48:38

Like you can, you can actually throw the ball to Kenneth Walker.

00:48:41

I think as funny as it is, I think there's a world where Cyrus Allen is getting more and more and more snaps over the back towards the back half of the year. They've talked about bringing him along really slowly. What I saw from the wide receiver room in week 1 was we need to to get a possession receiver.

00:48:54

Yeah.

00:48:54

That can go out there and run a 15-yard in or something and catch the football. That's not Thornton. That's not Rice. It's probably not Kelce anymore. I'm not telling you to go pick him up. I think this is just deep league, crazy deep league dynasty leagues. But if I'm the Chiefs, I'm like, I need to get a wide receiver on this team. And there have been rumors that are turning into like things I think are going to happen that Tyreek Hill will join this team. By the midpoint of the season.

00:49:21

I had not heard that.

00:49:22

Yeah, he said, yeah. So there have been some stuff going out there. A reunion is possible. And if this team is cooking halfway through the year, I've seen Tyreek running now and breaking.

00:49:33

Our dynasty team, Mike.

00:49:35

You still got Tyreek?

00:49:36

Yeah.

00:49:36

Oh my gosh.

00:49:39

Jonathan Taylor. This is going to be a hard matchup, but you never sit him. So just play him because one play is all it takes. Alec Pierce practicing on Friday, so they gave him some time off, but that's good to see. Keenan Allen and Josh Downs, I'm afraid these guys are going to kind of cannibalize each other throughout the year when you also have to mix in Tyler Warren.

00:49:58

Yeah, that one was wild.

00:49:59

And Warren, by the way, horrible week, saved by the touchdown. I mean, 3 for 13 on 93% of snaps was disappointing to me too.

00:50:07

Keenan Allen, the Keenan Allen-Josh Downs situation. of Josh Downs being out there for such a high percentage of dropbacks and routes for the Colts. And yet Keenan Allen leading the target share. It will be something to watch.

00:50:23

Yeah. Are you playing Alec Pierce or, you know, where are you with him? This is a tough matchup.

00:50:28

I'm willing to play Pierce, but it's more of as like a, hopefully a wide receiver 3.

00:50:34

I think he's a great trade for target right now as he gets back into full snap counts. When you get half snaps and You know, he's supposed to be their dude. And so he's coming off an injury, didn't get a lot of practice, didn't get training camp, played 59% of snaps, was still 4 for 61.

00:50:50

I mean, like, right.

00:50:51

I mean, that's the name of the game for him. 15 points to a carry or a catch again. Like, that's a target for you.

00:50:57

Are you not worried? I mean, I can totally see him being a target for the second half of the season. But as far as this week, in a tough matchup. Are you not worried about the fact he didn't practice on Thursday? I believe that just seems—

00:51:11

Yeah, that's what I brought up.

00:51:13

That seems bad if you practice on Wednesday and you don't practice on Thursday.

00:51:17

That's why I was asking Mike if he liked it because it's a bad matchup.

00:51:20

I, I would not be comfortable starting Alec Pierce. Those, those other guys—

00:51:23

I just want to trade for him now.

00:51:24

That we've gotten that, that Vaillant tier. I would throw those guys in personally.

00:51:28

You guys want to watch a Monday night game? Giants, Jackson Dart and company, Cam Scatiboo go to LA and take on the Rams who looked Pretty bad in week 1.

00:51:37

They looked quite tired.

00:51:38

They look tired, but they also have missing personnel. Maybe Aaron Donald comes back this week. Maybe he doesn't, but Myles Garrett's going to be gone. And in week 1, it was— they give up 40 points to wide receivers. That's not great. We'll see what happens in this one because the Giants look great in week 1. Los Angeles -7, the world expecting them to bounce back. Over-under 48 points, it gives the Rams 28. The Giants 20. So you expect full bounce back for the Rams in this one on the offensive side? Puka, Adams, Kyren, Corum, Stafford.

00:52:12

Yeah. I mean, we left Australia saying we're throwing the game away.

00:52:16

Yes.

00:52:16

And it's hard to do that because we just saw them be like not show up to a game. And, but I do think that that is the mentality. The most difficult one for me is Davante Adams. Because there was a world where at his age he comes in and has lost it. There's also the issue of utilization versus performance where he wasn't utilized inside the 10. He wasn't on the field inside the 10, which was and is his superpower. So he scares me a little bit. I'm still starting him.

00:52:44

You think that's prescriptive of this team?

00:52:46

I don't. I don't think that.

00:52:48

They did real good when they utilized him.

00:52:50

Yes.

00:52:50

I feel like that was an anomaly.

00:52:51

I believe changes will come, but he's the only player that what I saw in week 1 from the Rams scares me that it might be prescriptive.

00:52:59

Yeah.

00:53:00

The other guys, just because the age component that you're just like the age and the weird, like, why would they? I mean, I think they'll fix the still 22% of the targets inside the 10 stuff.

00:53:10

Yeah. I would go back to him. Malik Nabers. I mean, 6 for 69 coming back from a serious injury.

00:53:18

When like 2 hours before the game, he was not sure he could go and play.

00:53:23

Isaiah Likely.

00:53:24

He's back, baby.

00:53:25

Yeah. I mean, Isaiah Likely, Cam Scadaboo, Dart. I mean, it's a pretty, it's a pretty clean 4-pack there. I think Dart, Scadaboo, Nabers, Likely. Keep your eyes on Malachi Fields because I just, I like the dude. I think he's a good player, but I'm not starting him.

00:53:39

The, I would, the, the Cam Scadaboo route share will be something to pay attention to because we, you know, he's just coming back from his injury. So maybe they were trying to, you know, lessen that for him where Devin Singletary was kind of the receiving back for the team. But yeah, but that was—

00:54:00

And it stunk. It really, it really stunk that they didn't throw him. He's such a good pass catcher.

00:54:04

But it's saying like, this is a, this is the new regime.

00:54:07

Yeah.

00:54:07

Where you can't just copy paste last year's receiving work to the new, to the new play caller.

00:54:15

Yeah, it's the play caller is the issue. I don't think it's the health. I don't think it's coming back off the injury because they gave him tons of work. They, they did not seem like they were resting him or giving him low snaps. It seemed like on passing downs, he wasn't the back they were utilizing. Hopefully that changes. It could have been a situation where it was Tyrone Tracy who was really the guy they wanted to be that. And then he took himself out of the game and then they're like, okay, well, The other pack and maybe this one's having a bad month. He's having a bad year. So hopefully he, hopefully Scadaboo gets more involved. I do think obviously you've got Miles Garrett on the IR right now. It looks like Aaron Donald is trending towards playing, but it's not confirmed. They're hopeful he will play Monday night against the Giants. I don't know if that impacts whether you're, I mean, you've got to make your decisions ahead of Monday night. Yeah.

00:55:07

I'm not sitting Scadaboo in any situation.

00:55:10

You're not sitting Scadaboo. I don't think you're sitting Nabers in any situation. And the question then becomes just likely.

00:55:16

You're not sitting Dart.

00:55:17

So then all 3 of them are all playing.

00:55:19

Joe Burrow practiced on Friday. A little injury update for you. Feels good. Jalen Coker not on the injury report. So at least he seemed to tell the truth about it not being a big deal. Chig Okonkwo hamstring ruled out against the Cowboys. Go ahead, Mike. Just, just will it into existence.

00:55:33

Who, Mike, you want to tell the people who I picked up in our shared dynasty league? I am the Senate.

00:55:38

Yeah, Jason did me a very solid friendship move. It's the connection between co-managers. Ben Sennett was picked up.

00:55:47

Let's go, baby.

00:55:48

There you go. I mean, Jesse Bates touchdown on the way. Here we go.

00:55:53

Almost certainly.

00:55:54

Almost certainly. Let's, let's jump into the face-off.

00:56:02

Fantasy Faceoff presented by PrizePicks.

00:56:09

Alrighty. Week 1 in the books. It was, it was a successful week. We went, what is it, 10 of 12 on the picks from this section. So Jason, it's time.

00:56:25

Oh, that's a very nice wheel.

00:56:28

We've got a new wheel showing up behind us here. The Wheel of Shame.

00:56:34

All right. Let's spin that wheel.

00:56:38

Also, I do this in protest because my lineup cashed and I got 3 out of 4 right.

00:56:42

Cheesehead. Oh no. Oh, the Lorax.

00:56:44

Oh, the Lorax.

00:56:45

All right. Jason, the trees.

00:56:47

The trees.

00:56:49

First, go ahead and take care of that. What is this? Yeah, you got to take care of that.

00:56:52

It looks like an orange sheisty.

00:56:53

Yeah, you got to put that over your head.

00:56:56

Well then.

00:56:57

Oh, you left the glasses on. That's a way to do it.

00:57:00

I feel like I'm going to rob a bank.

00:57:01

You will have to take the glasses off anyways.

00:57:04

You're going to rob a bank, but then also do some construction on the way out.

00:57:07

Yeah.

00:57:07

I got to stay safe.

00:57:10

He's working on it. He's working on it.

00:57:13

Oh, get under there. Come on.

00:57:14

You need some help?

00:57:16

Mentally?

00:57:18

Yes. Oh, you look good.

00:57:18

Oh, this is nice. I might rock this.

00:57:21

Andy Reid?

00:57:22

Oh, is that you?

00:57:24

All right.

00:57:25

We are into it. Jason, you look great.

00:57:28

Thank you.

00:57:29

Even under protest. All right. Let's go ahead and kick it off here.

00:57:33

Also, might I just say great job us because last week you went 4 for 4.

00:57:40

Yeah.

00:57:40

4 for 4.

00:57:41

4 for 4. Mike and I went 3 for 4.

00:57:43

Yeah. It was a nice, it was a nice week. All right. I'm going to kick it off here. Christian McCaffrey, Green Goblin starting it off. 16.5 receiving yards. I'm taking the more. That, that's the, that's the—

00:57:55

Wait, how much?

00:57:56

16.5.

00:57:57

That's about a free square if I ever heard of it.

00:58:00

Is that the first drive?

00:58:02

Yeah, is that first reception?

00:58:04

All right, Jason, who's your running— why are we not on his solo cam?

00:58:09

Yeah.

00:58:09

I mean, what are we doing?

00:58:10

All right.

00:58:12

Loraxes get old too. Yeah.

00:58:14

Look, Loraxes need glasses. Okay.

00:58:18

And then your glasses need glasses.

00:58:19

Oh, my running back start of the week or whatever this is.

00:58:23

Your prospects.

00:58:24

I'm going with Aaron Jones Sr. all alone without Jordan Mason, more than 61.5 rushing yards. I think he gets it done on the ground.

00:58:33

Okay.

00:58:33

Does he? Okay. He does.

00:58:35

That's spicy. I'm going with Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals, 21.5 receiving yards. I will take the more.

00:58:43

All right. Moving to the quarterback position next.

00:58:45

I just realized that this, this isn't supposed to cover my mouth. This is a lot easier. I'm like talking through fabric.

00:58:52

You had the fabric up?

00:58:53

I had it up over my top lip. Because you were going to rob the bank. Yeah.

00:58:57

All right. I'm going Kirk Cousins.

00:58:59

What?

00:59:00

At the quarterback position.

00:59:02

Wait, you don't have to do this and that's not a goblin? More than 192.5 passing yards this week in LA.

00:59:10

I like it.

00:59:11

I'm taking Kirk Cousins.

00:59:12

Get a little crazy.

00:59:13

That's right.

00:59:14

What do you got, Lorex? All right.

00:59:15

Well, this is my green goblin. I've got Jordan Love.

00:59:19

Oh, you're going back to the well of the only one you lost last week.

00:59:21

Got it.

00:59:22

But he's going more than 183.5 passing yards.

00:59:26

Okay. That's your Green Goblin.

00:59:27

That is my Green Goblin.

00:59:28

Let's see. It would be funny if he let you down twice.

00:59:31

He threw for almost 400 yards last week.

00:59:32

Yeah. I think they're going to let him throw the ball and they can't really run with Marshawn Lloyd.

00:59:36

That seems better than the rushing attempts for him this week.

00:59:39

Yeah. My Green Goblin is my quarterback as well. I'll be taking Tyler Shuck, the Shuck Daddy himself, 17.5. pass completions, I'm going to go Moore. Okay.

00:59:50

So you're going completions. You ready for this one? Wide receiver. You told me I didn't have to do the Kirk Cousins one, right?

00:59:57

Oh, what are you doing?

00:59:58

Yeah.

00:59:58

Come on.

00:59:59

Brian Thomas Jr.

01:00:00

Oh, I wanted Jalen Naylor.

01:00:02

You just said Brian Thomas Jr.

01:00:04

36.5 receiving yards. I'm taking the less.

01:00:08

Dude.

01:00:09

Oh, all right.

01:00:12

What a reveal to take the lower number on the guy you don't like.

01:00:15

Okay. Well, I've got a similar one. Marvin Harrison Jr., 34.5 yards.

01:00:23

What?

01:00:25

I'm taking the more.

01:00:26

Oh, okay.

01:00:26

34.5. I'm taking more. I think he can get that on one reception, which he almost did last week. He'll be more involved.

01:00:35

Is that the—

01:00:35

Are you sure it wasn't 60.5?

01:00:36

Is this an issue with Jason not being able to read? What am I doing?

01:00:39

It's 60.5, Jason.

01:00:41

For Marvin Harrison? No, it's not. It's 34.5.

01:00:45

All right.

01:00:46

It's in the screenshot that I sent you.

01:00:48

Okay. We'll give him the 34.5.

01:00:49

Marvin Harrison Jr., 34.5.

01:00:51

What a disaster for the Loretts. I got Matthew Golden because I also believe in Jordan Love this week. Matthew Golden, 46.5 receiving yards. I will go more.

01:00:59

Look at you. Matthew Golden.

01:01:01

Hey, this is, you know, last year was the year of Mike. This is the year of Mike forgiveness.

01:01:06

I'm going to go with another wild one for you. Trey McBride at the tight end position. 60.5 receiving yards. Maybe that is where the confusion. Yeah.

01:01:16

That feels easy.

01:01:16

That might have been confusing. I'm going less. I'm taking less. I think Seattle's defensive focus will— it fits with your over, Jason. I'm going Trey McBride less than 60.5. I think their elite defense will focus entirely on Trey McBride this week.

01:01:32

I hope so.

01:01:33

I'm going to take the less.

01:01:34

Okay. My tight end. Look, I'm going back to the well from last week. Darren Waller, who looked good, is getting more healthy, more involved. He's at 17.5 receiving yards. That feels, that feels very easy for him to pass that.

01:01:48

Wasn't that what he was last week?

01:01:50

Yeah. I mean, and he, and he crushed it. So more, more snaps.

01:01:54

All right.

01:01:55

More easy. 17.5. I'll take more.

01:01:57

So you, you went, you went to 2 of the same dudes as last week when you ended up Loraxed.

01:02:01

I mean, I still, I still cashed last week. I was the worst of 3 great options.

01:02:07

All right.

01:02:07

Like the outcome, the outcome of this show, you're like, yeah, I like that.

01:02:11

But, but to be fair, my lineup last week where I took these 2 guys isn't where I lost.

01:02:16

Wearing 4.

01:02:17

It was the tiebreaker lineup I had with Mike that I lost.

01:02:20

That is true.

01:02:20

Love lost for you last week.

01:02:22

I'm going to continue to hate on the Browns. Harold Fannon Jr., 6 targets.

01:02:29

Oh, interesting.

01:02:30

Less interesting.

01:02:30

Interesting. There's a lot of really interesting ones in here.

01:02:34

Yeah.

01:02:34

So the Marvin Harrison receiving number is 34.5. Is that what you said?

01:02:40

34.5.

01:02:40

34.5.

01:02:41

34.5.

01:02:42

If you're looking at the board, that is way better. Let's look at him instead.

01:02:45

Yeah. If it was 64.5, I would go less. I think he'll be in that range.

01:02:51

Wow.

01:02:51
