When I mean perfect, I mean perfect. For Marilyn McCown, known as Nikki, July 2001 was a season of love. At 28, she was just a month away from her wedding day. And she was excited about that. Very excited.
Very excited. Nikki had found the right man. And now she was making all the plans. The countdown had begun.
Except Nikki never made it to the altar, because on July 22nd, 2001, she vanished. She was my best friend and just disappeared. It has been more than 2 decades, but the people who love her have made a different kind of vow. To never stop searching. Because that's the thing about love.
It doesn't end just because someone disappears.
