Transcript of Trump Has Disaster Saturday as Canada Strikes Back New

It's Saturday morning and Donald Trump is posting about golden ballrooms attached to the White House and IndyCar racing in Washington, D.C., while Prime Minister Carney of Canada addressed his nation and the rest of the world about the Trump regime's bad faith tactics, which led Carney to tell the Canadian negotiators in Washington, D.C., you can't do a deal with bad people. And the Trump regime are bad people led by a felon at the top, led by a sexual predator at the top. Now, Prime Minister Carney didn't use those exact words, but his speech to the Canadian people, which just wrapped up, and I also believe it was a speech to the rest of the world about the new order that is being formed where the United States is isolated and weaker and frankly weirder under the Trump regime. Carney addressed all of these factors and it was powerful indeed. Donald Trump though, this morning posting about his Golden Ballroom, tremendous work. Being done on the magnificent ballroom military complex being built on the grounds of the White House, Donald Trump posted this morning. And then the official White House account goes, BRB, America's 250th is going full throttle.

They're doing some weird IndyCar racing through Washington, DC with all of these corporate sponsors looking for quid pro quos with the Trump regime. It is so utterly deranged. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Carney actually addressing a major issue. The United States threatened 50% tariffs against Canada unless Canada made a deal with the United States. Earlier this week, it seemed that there was some progress being made, but Canada always made it clear that no deal is better than a bad deal. And then Friday night, before the new deadline was set to expire— as Donald Trump always changes, uh, the deadlines— we learned that Prime Minister Carney told his negotiators Leave Washington, D.C. right now. The Trump regime is engaged in bad faith tactics. Now, what the Trump regime was trying to do in addition to all of its other bad faith demands was also at the very last minute, they demanded that Canada couldn't do these trade deals that Canada was doing with other nations throughout the world. The U.S. wanted to monitor and block Canada's ability to do trade deals elsewhere. That was the final straw for Prime Minister Carney, especially as Prime Minister Mr. Carney's been making these major deals throughout the world as Canada has demonstrated its predictability and reliability while the Trump regime has turned the United States into a, uh, like developing nation, complete catastrophic authoritarian mess over here.

And I think that's putting it nicely. So Prime Minister Carney addresses the nation and the world responsibly this morning while Donald Trump is engaged in that weird behavior. Prime Minister Carney made it very clear that we left when the Trump regime was engaged in bad faith tactics. We were not going to give in. Here's what he said.

So last evening I instructed our negotiators to return to Ottawa. We cannot accept what they've offered and we will not give what they've asked.

Prime Minister Carney then talked about how I think that especially right now, given all that's going on in the United States, I think they probably need our energy. And they whine about— Donald Trump is whining about deficits with Canada. I mean, you do realize that it's not real. It's because we send you most of the energy you need and this is beneficial to you. Like, you get that, right? So while Donald Trump has started this catastrophic war in Iran, where energy is kind of needed. And you want to pick this fight with Canada now, who's always been there for you and who's always had your back? This is what you're doing, Trump, in the United States. Here, play this clip.

Another prominent justification for U.S. tariffs has been their claim that since the United States runs, quote, a trade deficit with Canada, we were ripping them off. Also a quote. But the US's narrow merchandise trade deficit only exists because the US buys so much of its energy from Canada. Canada fuels American growth, supplying 99% of their natural gas imports, 85% of their electricity imports, 60% of their crude oil imports. I don't think they want us to stop sending any of that energy.

Carney then goes over the main reason why these negotiations fell apart before Friday evening. And Carney says, yeah, this— then Trump tried to introduce this concept where we can't do deals with other nations. Here, play this clip.

The US introduced at the last hours, in the last hours, efforts to restrict our ability to have other trade deals. You heard me say a moment ago what we've accomplished in the last year. 20 new deals, economic and security partnership, the prospect of doubling our market access because we believe in free trade. Uh, we're the partner of choice in many respects for countries around the world, and the Americans wanted to restrict that. They had language that they wanted to restrict. Unacceptable.

Prime Minister Carney talks about how Canada was always warning that America would always try to break us. They would always just come up with a different excuse about what they were trying, what they were mad at today. But the intent was to own us and to break us. And the Canadian people know that. That's why the Canadian people went elbows up. That's why you have this boycott of US tourism. That's why you have this boycott of US products. Here's what Prime Minister Carney said.

Let's play it. Last spring, I warned that America is trying to break us so they can own us. And I promise that that will never, ever happen. We are keeping that promise. Canada is becoming stronger and less dependent on America. We are already giving ourselves more than they can take away, and we are just getting started.

Prime Minister Carney said, and look, if the Trump regime thinks that these tariffs will divide us, this is a massive miscalculation.

The new U.S. tariffs are designed to hurt us and divide us. They're a miscalculation. They're a miscalculation because Canadians will always take care of each other. We know we're stronger together. In the last year and a half, Canadians have met this moment with resolve, with purpose, with strength. Many ways, vacationing in national parks, buying Canadian products, choosing Canadian small acts of solidarity, repeated millions of times that make a statement. We're masters of our destiny.

Prime Minister Carney was then asked by the Canadian press, why does it feel like today Mark Carney is going to war, a trade war? Prime Minister Carney said, because we were attacked, because we are in a trade war. The United States declared a trade war against us. And we're going to respond and we're going to win. That is the posture Canada is in right now. Here, play this clip.

Why does it feel like today Mark Carney is going to war?

Trade war.

The tone. Because we're attacked. Um, like you're at war when you get attacked. We got attacked. Uh, U.S. put 50%. We waited until the United States decided to actually implement, uh, these so-called 338 tariffs. That's fine. We've got the reserves, we got the resilience, we've got the plan, we've got the focus. We will respond. We're going to focus on what we can control. We're going to build.

Then we heard from the Conservative Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford. Here's what he had to say. Play this clip.

And again, I'm going to give the Prime Minister credit one more time. It's very complicated, folks. And, you know, President Trump He can't be trusted. Simple as that. He changes the deal. He keeps moving the goalposts. You know, let me tell you about President Trump. President Trump is the type of person that would steal your lunch money the first day. He'd steal the toque off your head the second day, and the third day he'd steal your running shoes. He is not to be trusted whatsoever. We need to stay united.

Meanwhile, you have the United States Trade Representative this morning Jamison Greer whining and trying to portray the United States as some victim of Canadian aggression because Canada responded to the United States attacks. Greer's like, why would they do retaliation against us? Because you attack them. Here, play this clip.

So what do you expect to happen from here? Do you think trade talks will get back on, on track? Or will there be a pause here for a while?

It's hard to say. We don't have new talks planned with the Canadians. We're moving forward with measures that respond to Canadian retaliation. Remember, as President Trump has introduced a trade policy to reshore American production, protect American jobs, two countries have retaliated against the United States: the People's Republic of China and Canada.

And Canada does a lot of business with China.

They do. They do. And they continue to retaliate. And after a year of that retaliation, we've said enough. And so we've taken countermeasures. Our interest is in protecting American workers and protecting American supply chains. We've been offering to bring the Canadians along on that path, really to cut the tariffs on them on steel, on tariff autos, even lumber, things that are sensitive for them. And they've always had the best deal, and they still would have an even better deal, but they didn't want that.

All right.

And he says, our goal has always been get the best deal for the Canadian people, but never a deal at any price. Or at any arbitrary timeframe. We're going to do the best deal for Canada, and we're not going to give in to these bizarre and bad faith Trump tactics. Here, play this clip.

Prime Minister Carney talked about how Canada realized before many in the world, perhaps first in the world, that America was going to transform all of its commercial relationships and attack its trading partners. And Canada had prepared for it in the long run. Here, play this clip.

We've been under no illusions. We recognized from the start that America has changed. Early last year in this room, I observed that the decades-long process of steadily increasing integration between our economies was over. Our government understood before many that America would transform all of its commercial relationships, that it would put a series of tariffs on its closest allies and use economic integration as a weapon. We recognize that sometimes its signature was written in pencil.

Prime Minister Carney talks about the cumulative effect of all of the bad faith demands in these discussions with the Trump regime, including new demands at the last minute, just made it clear you can't do a deal with these people. You can't do any deal with bad people like this, especially you can't do a good deal with bad people. Let's play this clip.

And while we believed earlier this week that we were moving towards— moving towards a mutually beneficial agreement, In recent days, the United States proposed new terms that were uneconomic, unfair, and undermined the net benefits for Canada and called into question the reliability of any deal. In short, they asked too much and they offered too little. More fundamentally, the cumulative effect of U.S. demands revealed the limits of their commitment to a true economic partnership.

Prime Minister Carney then goes and explains how over the past year, the US imposed tariffs against Canada, against Mexico, against others, and would just come up with different justifications. Oh, we're mad at you because of the bridge. We're mad at you because you did commercials about Ronald Reagan using Ronald Reagan's words that Reagan wasn't a fan of tariffs. You, you were mad at you because of this. And it's like, okay, y'all are just a bunch of sociopaths under the Trump regime. Here, play this clip.

Over the past year, the US has imposed a series of tariffs that violate its commitment under our agreement with them and Mexico, so-called CUSMA. The United States has continually changed the rationale for these actions from fentanyl to taxes on US tech giants to certification of US aircraft to the sharing of tolls of a bridge that Canada built and paid for. To our dairy policy, to provincial decisions not to sell American alcohol during a trade war, to a television advertisement that quoted Ronald Reagan, to smoke from wildfires while they threatened our communities.

Prime Minister Carney then talks about how Canadian exports to the United States help the American people. It lowers the cost for American families. Tariffs are taxes. But Donald Trump doesn't care about that because Trump doesn't care about the American people. Let's play it.

On the other hand, Canadian exports to the United States lower costs for American families. In contrast, tariffs are taxes, taxes which are ultimately paid by U.S. consumers.

Prime Minister Carney then says that Canada will impose a retaliatory regime matching Washington's new tariffs dollar for dollar. Play this clip.

Now, Canada will match Washington's new tariffs dollar for dollar in order to protect Canadian workers, farmers, families, and businesses. Our response will be concentrated in sectors such as steel, dairy, appliances, agricultural equipment, pulp and paper, electronics. Also include products that are currently subject to unjustified Section 232 and 338 tariffs. This is a focused response, a focused response to protect and defend our industries and allow them to compete with U.S. products in the Canadian market.

And he says Canada is the best economy, the best connected economy in the world. And the Trump regime got jealous of that. And that's one of the reasons they wanted to inject a new term in the deal that we couldn't keep on doing deals with other countries because Trump can't do deals anywhere other than trying to bully, which everybody's like, no, man, we don't want to do that. What are you doing? And everyone's standing up to him. Trump wanted to impose a Canada, you can't do deals with other country provision here. Play this clip.

Canada is now the best connected economy in the world. Over the last year, we have signed more than 20 trade and security deals across 5 continents. We completed our most recent deal with the United Arab Emirates in a record 47 days. Canadian businesses now enjoy tariff-free access to 1.5 billion consumers. The gap between partnership and competitor unfortunately has remained too wide in recent days. So last evening, I instructed our negotiators to return to Ottawa. We cannot accept what they've offered, and we will not give what they've asked.

Left-wing media is covering it. Center media is covering it. There's zero, like, right-wing media coverage on the fact that Prime Minister Carney walked away from Donald Trump threatening Carney. He's back, right? It's either Trey Yingst, of state regime media Fox, who's based in Tel Aviv, or Barak Ravid of Axios, who's also based in Israel.

Those are the two main reporters for the Trump regime's propaganda. Uh, Barak Ravid says, uh, siren emoji, boat emoji, oil barrel emoji. That's how you know it's gonna be big, folks. Around 40 tankers transited in and out of the Strait of Hormuz through the southern deep channel on Friday night. Around 16 million barrels of oil moved out of the strait through the southern channel on Friday night alone, 3 US officials told me. It's always 3 US officials. It's probably always the same people. In my opinion, it's probably Whitcoff, it's probably Kushner, and maybe one other person so they can say 3. They just picked a random number. Around 40 tankers transit in and out, around 16 million barrels. Folks, this is all false. Maybe there was 5 tankers. Maybe, maybe there was 4 million barrels, 5 million barrels. Maybe there ain't 16 million barrels, folks. There's a very basic economic concepts here of supply and demand. And there's a reason why our strategic petroleum reserves have hit tank bottom and we keep on drawing on them and they're not being refilled. There's a reason why the price right now of diesel and gas is through the roof.

Why even the price of crude, the paper crude market, WTI and Brent, is going up, up, up and may hit $100 a barrel soon. As you know, the price of diesel is hitting like $200 a barrel. That crack spread at about $102 a barrel. That's the delta between your diesel refinery price and your crude price, right? And your 3-2-1 spread. It gets a little more complicated, but that's basically what it is. And it's because this is not happening. If we were bringing out all this oil, then gas prices would be going down and everything would be much cheaper. But it's all a damn lie. It's all a damn lie. Meanwhile, in the Netanyahu regime, they are moving closer and closer and closer to trying to— they have— trying to provoke Turkey into a war. The Jerusalem Post saying that the lessons Israel learned in the West Bank, Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, and Iran apply to Turkey as well. From Idlib to Istanbul, Israel will attack if necessary, not defend. And we've been seeing the steady drumbeat in the Netanyahu regime for war with both Syria and an escalating of war in Syria and with Turkey. And we saw the Netanyahu regime strike the airport end of last week in, in Syria.

Saying that it's because— and it was near Turkey, the air base, as well— saying it's because Syria and Turkey were cooperating with each other. And Israel's defense minister this morning, named Israel Katz, said the IDF recommended multiple times to carry out the strike at the Abu al-Dahar airfield in Syria based on clear information and intelligence received regarding Turkey's intention to conduct operations that would endanger Israel's security. Okay, so that's where, that's where they're going now, bringing the war. It's not enough genocide in Gaza, Lebanon, now war with Syria, which Netanyahu's diaspora minister the other day said, um, well, that's like a Gaza on steroids, Syria, is what he said. And then Turkey, and, uh, we'll keep on, we'll keep on following that. Also, as you know, Treasury Secretary Bessens attempt to manipulate various markets. It's now all kind of collapsed and all fallen apart. I've looked at Bessant's background, by the way, and he was like— his MAGA arc was that dude was a failure when he went on his own and created his own fund. It went from a $5 billion fund to a $500 million fund pretty quickly because he wasn't that good.

And that was his MAGA arc. And his arc was just kind of always betting against the economy and shorting economy. And that's kind of how he fell into Trump's good graces. But like his fund lost like 90% of its value, I think, you know, or some huge number like that. And so he's not like— he's an idiot. Like he's, you know, people act like this guy knew what he's doing. No, this guy is a total idiot. Financial Times reporting today, Bessant's bond market battle. It's starting to look like his boss's war in Iran— a tangled set of objectives, an underestimated opponent in the bond market, and an implausible path to victory. And like the conflict in the Middle East, we're all going to suffer. I mean, you look at US former allies like Qatar. Qatar slashed government budgets by up to 30%, cut overseas aid by roughly 85% as the Iran war has devastated its liquefied natural gas dependent economy. The IMF projects Qatar's GDP will contract 8.6% in 2026. Great work, Qatar, giving Kushner all that money. And meanwhile, and meanwhile, when you, uh, I was taking a look at this morning as well on Iranian TV, Iran's military chief visited an underground ballistic missile production facility showcasing the major ramp-up in weapons output since the war began there.

He says, by God's grace, they have been able to produce equipment far better than in the past. In terms of quantity, they have managed to scale production significantly higher than before. State media highlighted a threefold increase in kamikaze drone production since the start of the conflict and claimed Iran now ranks among the world's top 10 missile powers and 6th in drone capability.

Facility.

And this guy, this Iranian military chief, showed the whole drone facility, and they've got a lot of weapons in this one underground facility alone.
