It's Donald Trump's worst nightmare. Ayatollah Khamenei's funeral continues to grow. Now it's in Najaf in Iraq. And as the Trump regime is doing everything it can to try to control the government in Iraq, you have Iraq's new prime minister declaring a national day of mourning for Ayatollah Khamenei. The signs that we're seeing in Najaf looking an awful lot like the signs we saw in Qom and in Tehran. Lots of signs there saying kill Trump. Lots of signs threatening Donald Trump. Lots of chants that we're hearing, death to Trump, kill Trump types of chants, and death to America chants. And the Iranians are saying, look, we're talking about the government, not the people. Let me show you what's going on in Iraq right now, as noted, The prime minister of Iraq has declared today, Wednesday, a public holiday. You see the sign here, hashtag kill Trump. Show you some B-roll right here of signs that also say kill Trump, uh, in the Najaf welcoming area. Najaf is in Iraq. So the first days of the profession were in Iran. Now it's in Iraq. Why Iraq? Huge Shiite population there. And the Ayatollah was a spiritual leader for the Shiite community.
I've described him as basically the equivalent of the Pope for the Shiite community, a huge Shiite community in Iraq. We saw, uh, the president of Iran, Dr. Pesechkian, was there, although he had to leave once the Trump regime attacked, uh, Iran's, uh, Qeshm, Sirik, uh, and other, uh, cities right there on the Strait of Hormuz. Uh, we'll show you some B-roll right here of the people in Iraq holding, uh, the casket right there of Ayatollah Khamenei right there. And this was at the airport. Here's Iran's President Pesechkian, its former foreign minister General Rezaei, Deputy Parliament Speaker, all walking alongside the Iraqi Prime Minister. Over here you see them, more B-roll of that. You take a look right here. There's also Iraqi Christian pastors, pastors who are out there as well. You see signs in Iraq right now like this on a national day of mourning. Iraq Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi declared today the national public holiday. As I noted, here's another poster that we see in Iraq right now along the funeral route. It says, welcome you who humbled the US and exposed normalization of relations with Israel. Let me just show you what the funeral procession looked like right here in Najaf, because I mean, this procession, not just huge in Iran, it's huge in Iraq.
Show you some photos here. Photos, photos, photos. Other photos right here of the huge procession taking place in Iraq. I'll just show you about 10 seconds of it so you can see for yourself what's going on there. Now, um, you'll see over here Iraqi Prime Minister al-Zaidi officially welcoming President Peseskian, who had to leave early. The Iraqi forces performed an official military salute for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Let me show you what that official salute looked like here. Play this clip. And here's how it's being described on DropSite. I think they have a pretty good summary of what just went down. So the body of Ayatollah Khamenei arrived in Najaf, Iraq, where it was received with full state honors by Iraq's top leadership, including Shia, Sunni, Kurdish, Christian, and other political and religious representatives. Some Iraqi Members of parliament were heard chanting, "Death to America," while angry crowds gathered outside the shrine holding signs reading, "Kill Trump." Iraq is hosting an official state funeral for the former Iranian Supreme Leader, with millions of Iraqis expected to line the streets to pay their respects. And again, this is just the beginning, but today, obviously, we're seeing the crowds grow and grow and grow and grow.
For many Iraqis, Khamenei was their spiritual and religious leader. Others viewed him as the leader of a legitimate resistance movement against the United States and Israel, while others saw him as a prominent Islamic scholar deserving of respect regardless of politics. Notably, senior IRGC commander Mohsen Razaei stood alongside Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi throughout the airport ceremony, days before al-Sudani is expected to meet President Trump next week. I think that is notable as well. Now it should be noted that during these processions, that's when the United States, uh, attacked Iran in Keshem, in Sirik, uh, and, uh, and, and Manab as well. They attacked right by the Manab, uh, hospital. And that's of course where the Trump regime previously slaughtered 168, uh, Iranian little girls, uh, to which MB Golabaf, Iran's parliament leader, says major MOU violation by the US violating Iranian adjustments in the strait, persistent threats of further strikes, reinstating Sanctions, attacks on southern Iran, continued Zionist aggression on Lebanon. The era of bullying and extortion is over. It leads nowhere. We don't fold.

And then you have Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps leadership over here saying the following: Iran to neighboring countries, restraint is over. We will target the infrastructure of the American Zionist enemy, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, and their partners in a way that will deprive America and its allies of the region's oil and gas for years. Consider this your warning. Donald Trump was posting on social media things like this: I voted for this. Boom! That's Donald Trump's behavior in war and peace. Boom! I voted for this. Let me share with you what Professor Mehrandi, who was with the Iranian negotiating team, with Ghalibaf, with the RAGHI, and he was there in Islamabad, and he's very close to the civilian leadership in the Iranian regime, He just spoke with Professor Glenn Deason about what, uh, you know, his view of, uh, the funeral procession, why it's sending a message that has Donald Trump terrified, and also how Iran has used the MOU period and Iran has used the ceasefire to build up its military capabilities. I mean, you can hear it directly from the source right here. Let's play it for yourself.
And Iran's— Iran has been using the ceasefire and the MOU to prepare itself for war. Iran has— there were lots of tankers in the Persian Gulf where Iran, which were trapped, Iranian tankers. And then as soon as the MOU was signed, all these tankers left for their markets in Asia. And, uh, ships have been moving, going to Iranian ports. So Iran has been, uh, um, preparing itself militarily and Iranian society for further confrontation. Not that we want confrontation, but, you know, it's Trump and it's Netanyahu. So Iran has to be prepared for war. So Iran is more prepared for war today, militarily speaking. Than it was at the beginning of the war. It's manufacturing new missiles with more advanced missiles, more advanced drones, expanding its underground network of, uh, missile and drone cities, command and control centers, and so on, incorporating new technologies into the, uh, the armed forces. And then of course, we have today. The ongoing funeral, which we saw yesterday too, that well over 10 million people attended yesterday, the largest funeral in human history, which is ongoing today in the city of Qom. You have a couple of million people there.
It shows the high degree of popular legitimacy of the Islamic Republic. No one can deny it anymore. For the first time, this crowd, for the first time, is being somewhat acknowledged in in the West for what it really is and what it means. And you, so you can, one, I would claim that Iran has much more popular legitimacy than Western regimes do. And these are the evidences in front of us on, in the heat of summer, at a time when the country has been under economic siege for decades. It has just gone through two wars of aggression, its infrastructure damaged., and a siege on Iranian ports. It's hurt the economy significantly, yet you see these numbers come to, these people come to the streets. And so, and the depth of that popular legitimacy is another issue as well. That, coming out in the heat of the summer, it took me 3 hours, almost 3 hours to get there. And we had to walk hours in the sun. And,, and then it took me a couple of hours to get home. So I was exhausted. I had to go to sleep. So it just shows that, you know, that the strength of Iran, it has the support of the public.
It says armed forces are capable. All of this is leverage. All of this is leverage. And so ultimately, if the United States refrains from forcing the Israeli regime out of Lebanon, things are not going to get any better for Trump. The, the economic problems will persist, and at a time when the US economy is in deep trouble, and, uh, he will not get a nuclear deal at all, uh, despite the fact that he promised to get a much better deal than Obama.
And meanwhile, Donald Trump has been repeatedly posting overnight, uh, images of Iran under attack by the United States. And Donald Trump is posting this on his social media platform right now. Just very bizarre behavior, very bizarre behavior by Donald Trump right there. Massive strikes against Iran. Eyal Ya'acobi, Ya'acobi, he posts that.
Boom.
And the United States military has never been stronger, more powerful. No other nation can do what we do. It's not even close. It's what Donald Trump says. It's not even close. And then, of course, you know, the day before, Donald Trump said no one knows what the Strait of Hormuz is. Here's what he said.
The Strait and the famous Strait of Hormuz. Nobody ever heard of. But it's some— it is a— that is some big money machine. I'll tell you what, when you look at the numbers, Michael, there you have it, folks.
