Well, the MAGA Republicans are out in full force in effect, trying to justify what may have been the most bizarre 72 hours in presidential history, whether it was Donald Trump turning the Kirk Memorial into a political hate rally, or Donald Trump going from the oval office and talking about how pregnant women shouldn't take Tylenol and spreading a bunch of other medical disinformation to Donald Trump at the United Nations, speaking to everybody and telling everybody how their countries are horrible and speaking as, Donald J. Trump, the greatest real estate developer ever, was going to buy this plot of land. Then he just started calling out countries and saying, You have a bad mayor. The whole thing was just so utterly humiliating. People were laughing in his face. But according to the Senate majority leader, Thune, Donald, this was the greatest speech. This was up there with the greats. Just watch how Fox tries to not just sanewash this, but sell their audience that this is a golden era, the greatest speech. This is worse than North Korea stuff, let's believe it.

00:01:07

First off, what are your thoughts on what you've heard from President Trump at the UN so far today?

00:01:14

Well, thanks, Sandra. Obviously, straight talk from the President. He puts out the unvarnished truth. And I think the thing that he makes clear in all these discussions that relate to foreign policy, national security, is that he's restoring peace through strength. And the President that knows full well that it is not our strength that tempts our adversaries, it's our weakness.

00:01:35

Then the instant karma that he gets is that he kept having audio issues. I don't know if you remember that Bill O'Reilly moment where Bill O'Reilly starts yelling at his team, and he's like, F it, we'll do it live. After just saying absolutely what didn't happen at that speech, watch what happens to these audio issues that Thun has. Let's play.

00:01:54

But I'm pretty good at this stuff. He did use that moment to tout to the world what he has been able to do with our border and immigration. Okay, we appear to still be having those audio issues.

00:02:09

Let me throw-Okay, then it happens one more time. It happens again. I kept that happening, but I'll show you one more.

00:02:13

All right. Senator, jump on in here. We just played sound of President Trump. I moved from immigration to President Trump calling out those who recognize the Palestinian state. Your action to his remarks on that this morning.

00:02:30

All right, we're done.

00:02:31

Okay. All right, we tried again. John, I think we're going to leave it there.

00:02:36

That's so good. Then Harrison Faulkner had to say that Trump's speech was the greatest thing since slice bread. Let's play it.

00:02:43

President Trump has been speaking at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City. He unfurled raw truth to countries in attendance there and to the rest of the world. Moments from now, the President is set to hold a meeting with the UN Secretary General.

00:03:01

He unfurled truth. It was the worst. It's objectively, I don't care what political party you're from, the worst speech imaginable. But by the way, it's not just on Fox. If you look at CNBC, I mean, the Kairon that they were running today is, Tylenol claims face pushback. Just normalizing this language of Tylenol claims, what do you mean? Donald Trump spewing the most deranged, incorrect medical conspiracies out there, but it faces pushback, everybody. I think this is one of the big problems that we face, especially as the right wing now wants to just totally abolish free speech. There's a reason why the First Amendment is first. But anyway, let's bring in Democratic Congress member Seth Moulton. Congress member Moulton, it's great to see you right there. It's beyond cringy to see that. Objectively, it was like, I don't care what political party you're from. It was the worst speech. Yet they just engage in this exercise. And it's not unique to Fox of not just sanewashing it, but acting like what we saw was normal. And it just ain't. We got to call it out. What do you think?

00:04:10

It really is like North Korea. It's so bad that they feel that they just have to turn it into propaganda and make it into something that's completely divorced from reality. The word that struck me was how they talked about peace through strength. Well, just about every Republican I know in Washington who's still sane is really concerned that we're just giving in to China, that we're giving in to Russia, that the only thing that Trump is doing in foreign policy is attacking random boats off of Venezuela because he just wants to distract attention from the real big problems around the world. That's total weakness. That's complete weakness. I hear that not just from fellow Democrats, but from from Republicans. So they've got a lot of stuff to clean up here with this President on Fox News. And I don't know, there should be a contest for the network that has the best propaganda because Fox would be in the running with RT over there in Moscow and whatever state media organization runs the propaganda stream in North Korea.

00:05:25

It's a very interesting perspective you gave there, speaking to some of the, I guess, remaining sane Republicans who may not admit to being as such on live TV, but who behind the scenes you're talking to. The perspective that these kinetic strikes that Trump keeps posting, that these like, ISIS style death videos, right? That he's posting on his personal social media account of these 24 feet fishing boats getting blown up by the United States military. Like, okay, we know we have the capabilities if we want to blow up 24 feet fishing boats, and he he boasts. But it's an interesting perspective that you're a Marine vet, these foreign affairs, foreign policy is your forte. And others, though, who are talking about these issues with a degree of seriousness in the House on the Republican side, view what Trump's doing there as actually part of his way to say, See, I'm blowing things up while that's the play to ignore China, to ignore Ukraine and Russia's unlawful invasion, to not address Gaza, to just leave that and go, I blew up another The Boat today, everybody. Interesting perspective. Talk a lot about it.

00:06:33

Look, let's be clear, these Republicans are total cowards. They say this behind the scenes, in the locker room, in classified meetings that we hold on the Arm Services Committee. But then they sound like John Thune there when they get on TV in public. But guess what? We have laws and treaties that prevent you from just blowing up a boat in the middle of the ocean. There are military officers today who are very concerned that they're going to be investigated down the road for pulling the trigger on these operations that are absolutely unlawful. Meanwhile, over in Europe, we have this thing called NATO with treaties He's in laws that say that if a NATO country is attacked by Russia, we all respond. And what happened when Putin sent dozens of drones into Poland? Well, Poland responded, and Finland, and Germany. And what did Trump do? He made excuses for Vladimir. He's like, Oh, it was probably a mistake. That's not strength, Mr. President. That's weakness. Weakness in the face of one of the greatest adversaries America has ever known.

00:07:47

And then via social media, he'll make these erratic posts when he'll say, Venezuela, if you don't take everybody back from the insane asylums, because he believes asylum asylum seekers are insane asylums, you don't even know what's going to happen to you, the worst thing is going to happen to you. And then he'll make social media posts. He did Magninsky Act sanctions against the Supreme Court, which is wife in Brazil, because they found Jair Bolsonaro, an insurrectionist President. They're guilty, and their Supreme Court actually upheld the law. And it's just these erratic social media bailing Argentina while Mignonski Act sanctioning, whatever. Then, again, just doing nothing to Russia. There's no strand here. There's no strand here. There's no craziness.

00:08:45

The next thing you know, he's going to be threatening the Venezuelans with feeding them Tylenol.

00:08:52

But here's the thing. If he announced that, Senator Thun and your Republican colleagues legs would go and say, Look, brilliant. That's four dimensional. That's floor dimensional chest. They're flood in the zone. I got to talk about a few other topics. I want to talk about this $50,000 in cash that the border Tsar Tom Homan took. He didn't deny it when he did this Fox interview. He just claimed what he did was not illegal. $50,000 cash in a cava, a food bag from one of these fast food Mediterranean restaurants. But according to Republicans, they're You're okay with that? That's normal.

00:09:30

Well, maybe he thought it was a chicken swarmer bowl. Maybe. And he opened up the bag and, oh, well, it's $50,000 in cash, but cava doesn't accept returns. I mean, this guy is in law enforcement. He's supposed to be in charge of border enforcement for the entire country. He's got to come clean. But with this administration, they're so tough on crime, except that when the criminal is working for them, that seems to be the problem.

00:10:01

Talk about Trump's, the letter that he sent, it looked like he was sending a direct message where he goes, Pam, I need you to prosecute my political opponents. I want you to go after Schiff, LaTisha James, and I want you to go after James Comey. Then he fires the Eastern district attorney in Virginia, replaces it with his personal attorney, Lindsay Halligan. She was the one who said, We need to stop talking about too much slavery in the Smithsonian's. Now she's the Eastern district attorney. I don't even know how are there even federal prosecutors anymore. Whether you have Haba, her, the guy in Central district, California.

00:10:46

It's insane. It's insane. And let's be clear, Hey, attorney general, go prosecute my political enemies who independent prosecutors have said are not guilty. They don't have a case against them. But do not prosecute my border are for taking a bag of $50,000 worth of cash. I mean, this is also just a case of the same playbook, different crime. And this administration needs to just be transparent. So release the Epstein files, release the Homen tapes. If Homen is innocent, then just release the recording of what he said when he took this bag of cash. Did he say, thanks for the chicken shawarma, or did he actually think there was cash in the bag? I mean, I'm joking, obviously, but come on, just come clean. It's so absurd. You have to sit here and laugh about it, except that this is deadly serious when it comes to people's lives, the lives that Trump is trying to ruin. You just wait for you and me to be next. He goes after us because we're saying things in social media or on TV or wherever else that he doesn't like. And here comes the enforcer. The Gestapo comes down to say, you're not allowed to say that.

00:12:06

We're going to cancel you. Maybe he tries to send some prosecutor. Maybe Pam Bondi is going to be giving you and me a call. To look into our mortgages or whatever else to try to come up with some crime just because this is the way that he goes after his political enemies like communist dictators. I mean, it's absurd. We didn't even see this in the Nixon administration. It's never been this bad.

00:12:33

It's this constant cover-up, as we see with the Epstein files. But I do think that when Democrats or when people push and push. You do see, though, finally, they get into some... They hit the wall eventually. This is why I think people need to be aggressive and not let them get away with it, because when you hold them accountable, for example, like Ukraine and Russia, then Donald Trump says, Yeah, I didn't really mean peace in 24 hours. It was just a joke, and it was just being sarcastic. At that point, there's really nothing else you can say to him where he says, I was joking and being sarcastic. So you know, Okay, everybody, you tell your colleagues, he was joking and being sarcastic. On the Epstein files, it gets to the conclusion, It's a hoax. It's a hoax. That's where this ends with Homan. It's a democratic hoax. It's a witch hunt. So just everything out there is a hoax. His His approval is plummeting. It's just wild, though, that there's a lack of moral clarity on the Republican side, and it can still exist when it's so blatant.

00:13:39

No, I know. I mean, it's so pathetic, and they really are just cowards. They're not dumb. A few of them are, but most of them are just total cowards. They know the truth. They know what's going on. They know this guy lies through his teeth and violates the Constitution every single hour, and yet they're just so scared of them, they won't do anything. But you He said something really important, which is that it matters when people stand up. It matters when people push back. I think that's why Jimmy Kimmel is back on the air, because what he did was just blatant censorship, something that is not consistent with our Constitution and the First Amendment. But there was enough pushback, and I'll admit, even some pushback from fellow Republicans. I'm going to make history for the first time in my life, at least, of complimenting Ted Cruz, because he actually spoke up in the Senate and said that was wrong. So Kimmel's back on the air because the American people can't be silenced, and we've got to remember that. He'll try to silence us. He'll try to cancel us. He'll try to literally throw people in prison that he disagrees with.

00:14:47

But he's not going to just silence the American people. We've got to continue standing up and fighting back. It makes a difference.

00:14:54

And congressman, before we go, I always like to ask this question because you're seeing things that I'm not seeing, and we've got 6 million subscribers here. So are there issues that you're either focused on right now or concerned on that you think with what all these shows and podcasts are covering, but is not getting enough attention and that you said, Look, we really got to be focused on X, Y, and Z. Anything that comes to your mind that you just want our people to know?

00:15:21

I mean, look, this isn't what people are talking about because Trump is shredding the Constitution before our eyes right here at home. But I got two little girls, four and six. And I think we're going to make it through this. It's going to be really tough, but I think we're going to get through this. I think we're going to win the midterms. I think we're going to get a much better Democratic President in 2028. And by the time they're a little bit older, We're going to work hard to make sure America is back to normal and moving forward. But the one thing that would just devastate their lives is if we got in a war. And I think too often we don't talk about the risk that Donald Trump is putting us in with his completely incompetent and erratic Secretary of Defense, someone who's literally aiding the enemy by disclosing classified information on a daily basis. And the weakness that this team shows to China and Russia. There were no drone incursions into NATO countries under Biden. There was no appeasement of Putin under Biden. There were actually restrictions on the chips that China could buy, so can't beat us in AI under Biden.

00:16:33

Those restrictions were actually started in the first Trump administration. Donald has one meeting with the CEO, NVIDIA, and they're all out the window because he wants to make a buck. He probably got promised some purchases of his Beam coin or whatever. So the level of corruption in this administration is super dangerous back home, but it could literally lead us into a war overseas. And just sitting here, not just as a congressman, not just as a Marine vet, not just as someone who sits on the armed services committee, but sitting here as a dad, that makes me worried.

00:17:07

No, it's my daughter's first birthday today. We're about to go to the zoo. And when I look at her, I'm grateful that she doesn't know. Fully, that is her one-year-old birthday, the same way she doesn't know what Trump is doing. I hope that when she is old enough to start processing a lot of these more deeper memories, it's a better America. So I share that with you. And thanks for joining us, as always, Conor.

00:17:39

Yeah, thanks for having me.
