Furious world leaders are ghosting Donald Trump. They are cutting him out and disinviting him from critical meetings. We saw in France a meeting that was led by French President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the UK and 50 other nations, and they specifically refused to invite Donald Trump and the United States to send a message: get the hell out of here. The United States is not our friend anymore. We do not want you to meet here. You you are a bunch of war criminals. Also in attendance and leading this meeting, you had the German Chancellor, uh, Friedrich Merz, and you had Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy, rallying 50 countries to come up with strategies regarding the Middle East. Yesterday, as Donald Trump was ranting and raving like a lunatic and again defrauding the world and manipulating the markets in the United States, that he had reached this grand bargain, this amazing deal with Iran where they're opening up the Strait of Hormuz and, uh, American military will work hand in glove with the Iranian military, quite literally hand in glove, and together they will collect the nuclear dust from the Iranian facilities and they will capture the uranium and bring it back to the United States.

00:01:46

And the Strait of Hormuz is open to everybody and the US will be controlling it. And this is a major victory, and Iran has agreed that it will never ever again fund Hezbollah or any of its proxy groups. Donald Trump says Iran's agreed to everything, they've totally surrendered. It was all false. The European and Gulf states have previously said they don't think that there's any real meaningful material deal that can be ironed out for the next 6 months or so. Donald Trump lying about this deal in totality. And in Europe, they were talking about, okay, what can we really do here? Rallying 50 nations from across the world, not just European nations, Asian countries, African countries, Central America, South America, other European countries, focusing on what they can do together now that the United States is basically not America first, it is America alone. And America's become this like pariah, bizarre regime. So that's what you have happening in Europe right now. At the same time, in Beijing, in China, you had major meetings between leaders from the Middle East, you know, whether it was the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, And you had European leaders like French president, like, uh, uh, Prime Minister Sanchez rather of Spain meeting with Xi Jinping and Beijing talking about ways that it will now be a stable or how it wants to assert itself as a stabilizing force in the Middle East.

00:03:16

Um, and how it will be a stable, a more stabilizing force in Europe than the United States. You have these kind of massive, massive seismic power shifts happening and Donald Trump too dumb to even realize and his MAGA base, you know, you know, too much in the cult to realize that America has lost all of its hard and soft power across the world right now. So one other meeting I should talk about as well. You had the Finland president, Alexander Stubb. He was meeting in Canada with Prime Minister Carney. Prime Minister Carney just was able to get a majority government. The Liberal Party in Canada has established a majority government, and Prime Minister Carney, not just very very popular in Canada, but internationally really bringing together countries as part of a multilateralism contrast to Donald Trump's America Alone strategy. And we've been talking about this here a lot in the Midas Touch Network, how Prime Minister Carney has been uniting Trans-Pacific relationships with Trans-Atlantic relationships, other words, Asia with Europe, bringing them together for free trade and security agreements. And so it's not a coincidence that you have these Asian meetings happening without the US, European meetings happening without the US.

00:04:36

And then you had the Canadian meeting happening with Stubb, who is very popular throughout Europe as well, and meeting with Carney. All of this is interconnected, and the US all alone while Donald Trump was at a Turning Point USA weird event, like kissing Erica Kirk's, like, ear and being weird and coming out to weird pyrotechnics and just spewing nonsense. Talking about things that haven't even happened with Iran while Iran's parliament leader, M.B. Ghalibaf, and Iran's Revolutionary Guards like, look, look everybody, we controlled the Strait of Hormuz. Like, what are these idiots talking about? Let's bring some receipts. Here's the president of Finland, Alexander Stubb. Here's what he has to say about America going it alone. Play this clip.

00:05:28

I think at the end of the day, the United States will find themselves in quite a lonely place. I mean, I'm the most pro-American president in Europe. I'm an avid transatlanticist. I want the relationship to work. But I fully also realize that, you know, with certain patterns of behavior, there is going to be a feeling of, okay, if, if, if you treat me like that, I don't feel very good about it. And we can see that with European states.

00:05:59

We can see it.

00:06:00

With Gulf states and many others. So I hope that it's in the interest of the United States, if it wants to continue to be one of the world hegemons, to have close friends and allies.

00:06:12

Then you had over here Stoltenberg of Norway. Here's what he had to say. Play this clip.

00:06:19

My country, Norway, is bordering Russia. Just on the other side of our land border, we see the highest concentration of nuclear weapons in the world—missiles, submarines, bombers. And these weapons are not directed at Norway, they are directed at the United States. But Norway helps the US to monitor, to track the submarines, to share intelligence, and to give you early warning and to tell exactly what the Russians are doing. This is part of the US homeland defense provided by a NATO ally, Norway. And there are many other similar examples. So the US is safer with a strong NATO. And therefore I expect and believe that the US will continue to be committed to NATO.

00:07:01

Just so you see the perspective of how CNN International was covering that meeting I was referring to in France, let's play this clip.

00:07:10

This was a meeting that was initially proposed by the British and the French, but that also attracted de in presence. They were actually here in Paris, the Italian leader and the German leader, but there were some 50 participants. Participants in it, many remotely. They were global organizations, but some 30 heads of state or government. And that's important because it wasn't just Europeans. What we're talking about are the leaders of— from Latin America through the Middle East to the Indo-Pacific, those parts of the world that were not belligerents in this case, that are not directly involved in the war, but have been on the front line of its effects, of its impacts. And so they came together to try and put together— and they've been talking about this for some weeks, this coalition, to ensure that navigation can stay open on the Strait of— in the Strait of Hormuz. The idea is that they want no blockade, they want no tolls, and they want the end of fighting, a ceasefire allowing them to mount this mission with the help of the ships of France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy in order to carry out minesweeping operations.

00:08:09

Now, crucially, only once a ceasefire has been struck, then this announcement of the lifting on the Iranian side of the blockade and all the hope that it has brought. But what the French president wanted to keep front and center was the need for prudence, because we'd seen so many times before at moments of a glimmer of hope, disappointment then of the face of the maximalist demands of the United States, the intransigence of the Iranians, and the continued frustration of the rest of the world faced with this. The idea here was to try and do something about it without being those involved directly in the work.

00:08:42

All right, quick question. Have you ever actually been excited to do laundry? Because it was usually the last thing I wanted to do until now. I started using Laundry Sauce, and the first thing I thought when I pulled my clothes out of the dryer was, what is that smell? No, in a good way. Like, this doesn't smell like detergent, it smells like cologne. My personal favorite right now is the Australian Sandalwood. Just clean, rich, and it actually lasts all day. You put on a shirt in the morning and you still smell it later. And the pods, super easy, pre-measured, no guesswork. Just toss it in and you are done. Plus, they actually work. I'm talking stains from coffee, food, whatever. You don't even think about it. It just comes out clean. It's time for some spring cleaning. 00:11:04

Meanwhile, the meeting I refer to in China, Al Jazeera talks about it here.

00:11:08

Play this clip. High-stakes diplomacy in Beijing. President Xi Jinping met Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Khaled bin Zayed, deepening ties with a Gulf partner. They pledged greater cooperation in technology, energy, and trade as the war in Iran disrupts global oil and gas flows.

00:11:25

"Historic changes are unfolding in ways never seen before.

00:11:28

Human society faces a choice between peace and war, unity or confrontation." Hours later, Xi welcomed Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.

00:11:37

Both called for the defense of multilateralism in what they described as an increasingly unstable world. Sanchez urged China to play a bigger role in resolving global conflicts, including in Iran.

00:11:52

I find it very difficult to imagine any other interlocutors apart from China that could resolve the situation.

00:12:01

He is among the world leaders hoping Beijing will use its close ties with Tehran to push for further talks and prevent further escalation. Officials say China is doing what it can to restore peace. Wang Yi spoke to Pakistan's foreign minister on Monday after negotiations in Islamabad failed, and is hosting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov this week. Beijing has denied allegations that it supplied Iran with weapons and condemned the US blockade of Iranian ports.

00:12:29

This is a dangerous and irresponsible act.

00:12:32

China believes only a comprehensive ceasefire can fundamentally ease tensions.

00:12:38

Now, while all of that was taking place, you had Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant, uh, continuing to extend the lifting of sanctions against Russia in the dark of night. On Friday night, Bessant extended the revocation of sanctions against Russian oil, allowing Russia to continue to sell its oil, extending the removal of those sanctions. You know, again, just delivering more gifts to Vladimir Putin right now because Donald Trump is indeed a Putin bootlicker. So you had that taking place. And meanwhile, you had his colleague, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, attacking Canada and saying, oh, Canada sucks, and how dare Canada not purchase, you know, F-35s and just trying to wait us out and not entering into deals with us. How dare Canada, really? I mean, Donald Trump's been threatening to turn it into the 51st state. He's declared a trade trade war, and Canada is being smart. But you can see how this is getting under Lutnick's skin here. Play this clip.

00:13:40

The time is on our side because the pressures on the US are only going to increase over time. Basically, you guys are in political trouble. The longer they wait, the better a deal you're going to have to do. Good for them.

00:13:50

That is like the worst strategy I've ever heard. They suck. They look— we are a $30 trillion economy, right? We are the consumer of the world. Okay. Carney has a problem with us. He gets on a plane and he goes to China. Does he think China's— the Chinese economy is going to buy his stuff? China is entirely an export-driven economy, right? So what do you do? He came back and said, oh, we'll take their electric cars. I mean, is this nuts?

00:14:21

Well, all this is taking place, you have Zelensky, Ukraine, going to the Middle East as well, making critical deals and security deals with the Middle East. He was actually at the end of week in the Netherlands, and he signed a long-term defense cooperation in the Netherlands. Here, let's play this clip right here. Or rather, you have Zelensky in the Netherlands. You could see him over there. And here's what Zelensky had to say. Let's play this clip.

00:15:11

It's important that pressure on Russia continues, sanctions and all other restrictions. But it's just as important that Russia is held accountable for this aggression legally and practice, and that Russian war criminals do not enjoy normal life. Normal life, but face fair sentences. This is necessary, just as it was necessary after the Second World War. And this is what we are doing here in Europe. Here in the Netherlands, we are working to launch the Tribunal for Russia's Aggression Against Ukraine, and I thank you for your help. We are working to ensure that the international legal system is formed and uncompromising toward Russian war criminals. Please support this. And please remember, all freedoms are fragile without the most basic freedom— freedom from ruins, without basic security. And when those who start wars feel no accountability— so do not let Russia go unpunished.

00:16:27

Now contrast that to what was going on in the White House where you had King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands. They visited the White House just to try to see if there could be any semblance of normalcy there. And hint, hint, there wasn't. You could play this clip right here.

00:16:51

Picture here? Yes.

00:16:53

Where are you going to take it? Where? Oh, yes. I don't know where you—

00:17:03

To the president's, right? Okay, very good.

00:17:07

Oh, I'm thinking of those guys over there.

00:17:09

That's what they think. All right, you're just listening. In this as they are gathering for this now photo opportunity, the King and Queen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands at the White House. And meanwhile, you had General Petraeus, retired general in the United States, retired general. Here's how he describes kind of the Gulf States and the United States really desperately needing Ukraine's help at this point. Play this clip.

00:17:40

Well, what it does is it provides validation for the whole world of what Ukraine has achieved. Again, when the Gulf states, and in some cases, U.S. military have had some challenges in countering the Shahed drones sent to them in the Gulf region, who did they call? Kyiv. Why is that? Because Kyiv has demonstrated the best ability in the world to conduct counter-drone operations. And so I thought it was a masterstroke. It was genius for President Zelensky to go to the Middle East when these countries are under attack, just as is Ukraine every night, and to bring expertise and bring drone interceptors to help these countries defend against the same kind of drones that were given to Russia that have provided so much damage to Ukraine. But with Ukraine now intercepting at least 90% of those drones in a very impressive manner.

00:18:48

And then you had Giorgia Meloni, who was very critical of Donald Trump's attacks on the Pope and Trump and Israel's supportive attacks on Lebanon. Here, Giorgia Meloni talks about a really important topic, supporting Ukraine. Let's play this clip.

00:19:06

We believe that supporting Ukraine is not only a moral duty but also a strategic necessity, because at stake are not only the dignity, freedom and independence of Kyiv, but also the security of Europe, in the broadest sense of the term. Italy will continue to promote, within the G7 and the European Union, economic pressure on the Russian Federation, which continues to show no concrete signs in the negotiation process, persists in attacks against civilians, continues to target infrastructure essential to the population.
