Pope Leo XIV is furious at the Trump regime's war crimes and the Trump regime's behavior in the United States, terrorizing and torturing migrants with ICE and Border Patrol Gestapo. And furious Pope Leo XIV is not holding back. As we previously reported back in January, the Trump regime tried to essentially threatened the life of Pope Leo XIV. They summoned Pope Leo XIV's top ambassador to the United States to the Pentagon, where a guy named Elbridge Colby and others— he's the number 2 at the Pentagon— and others apparently were screaming and shouting at the Pope's top ambassador to the United States. It was very confrontational. And from what we hear, there were some people in the room with the United States saying, what we will do to Pope Leo XIV and to the Holy See is what the French did in the 14th century with the Avignon Papacy, where they basically kidnapped the Pope, killed the Pope, moved the Vatican to France. And so in the current Vatican, Pope Leo XIV took this as a threat of a military invasion by the United States of the Vatican and a death threat on Pope Leo XIV's life. And Pope Leo XIV's like, well, I ain't coming to the United States.
Good luck with your 50th anniversary celebration. I'm going to Lampedusa in Italy, and I'm going to reflect on the suffering of migrants and be with them and share love with migrants. And Pope Leo XIV's like, I probably wasn't going to go anyway to the United States based on your behavior with ICE and Border Patrol Gestapo. And he despises J.D. Vance, who converted to Catholicism, who uses Jesus in the name of God to support torture and death and war crimes. And here's the thing, regardless of religion, whether you're Christian, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, regardless of religion. One of the things we talk about here on the Midas Touch Network is just truth, is love, is honesty, is compassion. And regardless of the religious aspects, Pope Leo XIV is someone who's compassionate and empathetic, and he's not been afraid to stand up to Donald Trump, to JD Vance, to Pete Hegseth, and this despicable regime of war criminals. Let me just show you in the past 12 hours what furious Pope Leo XIV posted on social media. He started in the morning with the following: God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs.
Military action will not create space for freedom of times of peace, which comes only from the patient. Now, that's clearly directed at JD Vance, Hegseth, Trump, this entire despicable regime. He goes on to say, absurd and inhumane violence is spreading ferociously through the sacred places of the Christian East, profaned by the blasphemy of war and the brutality of business, with no regard for people's lives, which are considered at most collateral damage of self-interest, but no Gain can be worth the life of the weakest, children, or families. No cause can justify the shedding of innocent blood. Pope Leo XIV, who is furious, goes on to say, hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty, yet disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth to be achieved with moral sense and honesty. Powerful words indeed.

You know, and then there were other posts in the past week by a furious Pope Leo XIV, like the following: The cross is part of the mission. The imperialist occupation of the world is disrupted from within. The violence that until now has been the law is unmasked. The poor, imprisoned, and rejected Messiah descends into the darkness of death. Yet in doing so, he brings new creation to light. And you remember, as Pete Hegseth was urging Americans to pray for military victory in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. You know how J.D. Vance said Jesus told us to do this, and J.D. Vance would say Jesus told us, and Hegseth would say Jesus told us to do this. Pope Leo XIV rejected this idea, saying that this kind of thinking is entirely foreign to the way of Jesus Christ. The Pope argues that Christianity has often been distorted by a desire for domination, warning that people mistake power for righteousness. We consider ourselves powerful when we dominate. Victorious when we destroy. Instead, he says, God's example is not how to dominate, but how to give life, and adds that Jesus does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war.
Now, as Israel has banned French President Emmanuel Macron from any involvement in potential mediations with Lebanon, Israel says we won't even consider potential ceasefires with Lebanon, which they're not considering anyway. I mean, they committed a massacre earlier this week, killing 258 in Beirut with over 1,200 casualties after a ceasefire was initially announced where Lebanon was included. But they've banned French President Emmanuel Macron from like having further communications because Macron said Lebanon needs to be protected. And most European countries are stepping up as well. So what does Pope Leo, a very furious Pope Leo XIV, do? He invited French President Emmanuel Macron over. You can see yesterday morning, a meeting with the French president, clearly sending a message to Donald Trump and Netanyahu with Macron there. And French President Emmanuel Macron also meeting with other European leaders as well to stand up to the Trump regime. And let's not forget that Pope Leo XIV also declared the Iran War unjust, not solving anything. And when he switches to speak in English, I mean, he's an American pope, but he doesn't speak English a lot for people who observe him. But when he switches to English, he usually saves some of his most scathing and some of his most direct messages calling out the Trump regime when he does speak in English, like over here where he says the Iran war is not just—
play this clip in English. I would simply say once again what I said in the message on Sunday, asking all people of goodwill to search always for peace. And not violence, to reject war, especially a war which many people have said is an unjust war, which is continuing to escalate and which is not resolving anything. In fact, we have a worldwide economic crisis, energy crisis, situation in the Middle East of great instability, which is only provoking more hatred throughout the world. So come back to the table. Let's talk. Let's look for solutions in a peaceful way. And let's remember, especially the innocent children, the elderly, the sick, so many people who have already become or will become victims of this continued warfare. And to remind all that attacks on civilian infrastructure is against international law. But that it is also a sign of the hatred, the division, the destruction that the human being is capable of. And we all want to work for peace. People want peace. I would invite the citizens of all the countries involved to contact the authorities, political leaders, congressmen, to ask them, tell them to work for peace and to reject war always.
Now, I had the honor to bring on to the show somebody by the name of Christopher Hale. He writes the Substack Letters with Pope Leo XIV, and, um, he's one of the top Catholic Church watchers out there. His Substack absolutely crushes it. Here's what he told me about how furious Pope Leo XIV is at Donald Trump and his despicable regime. Let's play this clip right here.
Talk to us about what your sources are telling you about this Well, I must say that this report originated with the Free Press, and we were able to confirm it throughout the day. But here's how the story goes. In early January, Cardinal Christophe Pierre, as you mentioned, who was up until last month Pope Leo's personal nuncio, which is Vatican speak for ambassador to the United States, was strangely called not to the State Department— mind you, he is a diplomat but actually directly to the Pentagon, which is strange in itself. And then while he was there at the Pentagon, there was a meeting with the Undersecretary of State. And in this meeting, it suggested that Cardinal Christophe Pierre, that they were upset with Pope Leo XIV's early January address to the Vatican, to the diplomatic corps of the Holy See, where he said that war is back invogue. There is a zeal for war and that the rule of law regarding the territory of nations have been violated. Mind you, this speech took place days after Trump's invasion of Venezuela. So the administration was correct to read this as a critique of their policy, obviously global in nature, but yes, of what they had done in Venezuela and what they were threatening at that point to do in Greenland and what they've done now in Iran just months later.
So when you came in, um, the, the— it was tense, um, and one of the, one of the diplomats suggested, brought up the Avignon Papacy, which you mentioned earlier. For your readers, the Avignon Papacy was this 14th century phenomenon where the French regime was upset with the papacy. So not only did they, um, influence the papacy, they kidnapped the Pope, Pope Boniface. They kidnapped and in fact killed him, murdered him. And so it was a stunning suggestion to be made, to bring up in this meeting. And Cardinal Christophe Pierre, from our sourcing, takes this information back to the Holy See, back to the Vatican. And there have been discussions about Pope Leo XIV coming to the United States this year, and that was put on ice. And from what I can understand, it's been put on ice indefinitely. There's some thoughts that he might come here in 2027. I honestly do not think we'll see Pope Leo in the United States until after Donald Trump leaves the presidency.
And now you see a lot of MAGA, a lot of so-called evangelicals out there who are attacking Pope Leo XIV and saying, oh, he's a Marxist radical extremist leftist. That's the attack that you see from a lot of MAGA. And I think here's the thing, going back to the Midas Touch Network and what I said before, the things that we always talk about here— yes, we report the news, breaking news, boom boom boom boom boom boom boom, and we recognize that we have people of all different religions, people who don't have any religion at all, right? There are people who are religious, people who are atheists, people who don't believe in God, people who believe in God, people who believe in many gods. But it's all good. The most important thing is love and compassion and empathy. When I read Pope Leo XIV Saint's posts and his speeches, you know, what he's saying is recognize the suffering of human beings. This shouldn't be through political lenses. Recognize the suffering of human beings throughout the world, in Lebanon, in Gaza, and elsewhere. These are human beings, mothers, children, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, babies. Let's be human.
Let's get our humanity back, folks. Anyway, great work, furious Pope Leo XIV. Hit subscribe. Let's get to 7 million subscribers. Want to stay plugged in?
