Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney just stuck a knife into Donald Trump's top ally, and he stuck a knife into Donald Trump's continuous attacks on Canada. I want you to watch here as Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney says that he has no confidence in the FIFA president Gianni Infantino, and that Infantino, one of Donald Trump's top allies, how Infantino needs to go. Let's play this clip.
Uh, the second thing, look, uh, I've run a few organizations in my time. The idea that proper governance is not to disclose to your closest advisors, your chief operating officer, your fellow board members, something of consequence that you're even considering, let alone proposing, that, you know, that's fatal. Should be fatal. And you lose confidence in that individual. They have their own— procedures for making those determinations. But certainly I don't have confidence in, uh, Mr. Infantino after this point. I, uh, given, given what transpired.
Then Prime Minister Carney calls out Donald Trump for blaming the fact that his teleprompter occasionally breaks on deranged conspiracies. While Prime Minister Carney was giving a speech, the teleprompter stopped working. Watch what Carney says right here, mocking Donald Trump. Let's play this clip.
I would like to inform you that the teleprompter has ceased to function. Unlike a certain world leader, I do not view this as a conspiracy.
Then Prime Minister Carney, during this press conference, talks about how Canada stands strongly behind the International Criminal Court, the ICC. This as the Trump regime continues to attack the ICC. And go after the leaders of the ICC. Carney says Canada stands firmly behind the ICC. Let's play this clip.
Well, first, Canada is a proud member of the International Criminal Court. We, we supported with funding, we supported with personnel, we supported with our values, we supported with our actions, and we will continue to do so. It, it provides an essential Service in a world that is, is more dangerous, more divided. In fact, in many respects, uh, its responsibilities are ever greater. Uh, you know, I think you can see the attachment to which the government places to these values and, and the rule of law and the importance of rule of law in the appointments that we have been making. And the Canadian judge And the judge will provide support as needed. And we work with, with our American colleagues on a variety of issues to work to achieve results. But our, our support for the ICC is unequivocal.
Now, as Prime Minister Carney was holding that press conference earlier in the day on Wednesday, Donald Trump was giving a deranged speech in Las Vegas before a tiny crowd at the Red Rock Casino. And spa. And Donald Trump, while in Las Vegas, starts to attack Canada by calling Canada nasty. And he says they're very nasty. This as Donald Trump's attacks on Canada have been the cause of a Canadian boycott on American products, American services, and hospitality in America, which has had a crippling effect on Las Vegas. And here Donald Trump invites more of the boycott by behaving in such a sick and deranged way towards Canada. Let's play this clip.
Many by everybody, by Canada. Canada's nasty.
They are.
They're nasty. People think Canada, they're nasty people.
I love the people, but they're nasty, nasty leadership.
Back to Prime Minister Carney, an actual adult, an actual leader right here. He was asked how is he going to respond in 2 weeks? Because Trump is threatened in that 2 weeks he's going to impose 50% tariffs on hockey sticks and other goods from Canada. Prime Minister Carney says, we are not afraid. We're going to negotiate and try to do a good deal. And if there isn't one, we're not going to enter into a bad deal. Canada has gone elbows up. We are not afraid of Trump and the United States here. Play this clip.
Uh, we're now 2 weeks from President Trump's threatened 50% tariffs on Canadian goods. How likely is it that you'll be able to fend those tariffs off? We're seeing— we're in the middle of negotiations, and, uh, Minister LeBlanc, uh, Jenna Charette, who's our chief negotiator, are in Washington, as Ambassador Wiseman obviously there, uh, in a series of meetings, uh, related to this. Uh, I'm very involved in this as well, uh, and we'll see. Uh, but I'll refer back to my previous answer in terms of the scope of what Canada wants to move forward on, which is across all strategic sectors, including, uh, the specific question from Miss Stone, I think, was, uh, was about autos, uh, as well. And that very much at the core of what we're talking about.
I'm always looking for simple ways to upgrade my daily routine, and recently I came across Loringo, a chewing gum that actually helps make your teeth stronger every time you use it. Loringo is better-for-you chewing gum that uses the same mineral your teeth are made of to support daily enamel health. It uses nano hydroxyapatite, the same mineral your enamel is actually made of, to strengthen your enamel and repair damage. Comes in a bunch of great flavors like mint, cinnamon, bubblegum, and berry. And they also make a really great fluoride-free toothpaste. Loringo sent me the gum and I am a big fan. The flavors taste great, the flavor lasts, and I like chewing a piece after coffee or after meals. It leaves my mouth feeling fresh and it feels good knowing I'm doing something to help keep my teeth strong and healthy every time I chew it. It's a totally effortless way to make sure you're taking the best care of your teeth possible. Right now, LARINECO is offering our listeners up to 50% off at buylarine.com/mitus. That's buylarine, L-A-R-I-N-E, dot com slash mitus, M-E-I-D-A-S, for up to 50% off.
Prime Minister Carney then pays tribute to everyone who helped make the World Cup a success in Toronto. Let's play it.
I want to take the opportunity to pay tribute to the mayor, pay tribute to the Premier, pay tribute to the first responders, all the volunteers who made the World Cup here such a success. It was absolute knockout success in Toronto. And, uh, and again, the best of Toronto and hundreds of thousands of people, millions of people, hundreds of millions of people would have witnessed it on TV. A bunch witnessed it in person, and they bring back nothing but great stories about the people in this great city.
And while he was doing that, you had JD Vance Doing an interview with state regime media Fox with Laura Ingraham, where JD Vance attacks Canada and says they're doing terribly. They're doing terribly. What a weasel JD Vance is, and just such a regime of weasels and losers. Canada knows this Trump regime, weasels and losers. Canada has gone elbows up and they're making America pay. Let's play it.
Who's beating us in the G7? Nobody is.
How about Canada?
How are they doing? They're doing so terribly.
They want us to copy France, Canada, and other countries back to, what's going on in Canada and the fight against Trump fascism. Charlie Angus, who leads Midas Canada, just dropped a banger, a video called Throw the Bum Out. Throw out Pete Hoekstra, the despicable human being who currently holds the title US Ambassador to Canada, but uses that title to attack the sovereignty of Canada. Charlie Angus says, I think we're being too polite to Hoekstra. We need to go harder on Hoekstra and all of these Trump, these Trump vile scumbags in our country. Play this clip.
I'm just gonna do a quick little rundown on our man, Mr. Hoekstra. Now, we all know that he was involved in Project 2025, and we know that he's one of the MAGA loyalists, and we know that everything he's pretty much said ever on the international scene about international relations has proven to be wrong, or that he was gaslighting, or that he was lying. The problem is, Is it Canada is too polite? We've been nice to him. We treated him like he's a proper ambassador. You know, when he was the ambassador to the Netherlands, on day one, the Dutch media called him out. They just went straight at him because Hoekstra had been using his position as a legislator in the United States to create falsehoods and lies about race hatred in the Netherlands that were not true. And so when he was appointed ambassador, he didn't get a grace period of people being nice to him. The media went straight at him and started calling him out on his lies, and he was calling fake fake news and saying that they were all making this up, and he was forced to apologize. That's what accountability is.
And so far, Piet Hoekstra has been allowed to, you know, travel the country spreading his disinformation because we've been polite to him. He was also called out in the Netherlands for using his ambassador's residence to promote the extreme right, that he held a party on September 10th, 2020, for 40 activists from the far-right FVD party. You know, this is completely outrageous. And this is what we're now seeing, that he's using the American embassy to undermine Canada in a very direct way. And again, we're still being polite.
Charlie Angus then reads the petition to have the US ambassador to Canada, Pete Hoekstra, declared persona non grata. Play this clip.
This is a masterclass, my friends, in using our democratic tools to set the agenda. So an e-petition means that any citizen of Canada can sign it. It is open now until November 18th. So we have a good long run to build as many signatures as possible. So I'm not just asking you to sign, I'm asking you to get your family to sign. I'm asking you to get your workmates to sign. I'm asking you to get anyone you know to sign this petition. So it begins with an opening statement, which I'm going to read because I think it is so powerful. US Ambassador Pete Hoekstra has repeatedly made public statements undermining the Canada-US diplomatic relations, including characterizing the 2022 2025 Canadian federal election as anti-American. Yeah, this is a parliamentary petition. Ambassador Hoekstra has normalized the Trump administration's threats to annex Canada as the 51st state, describing such rhetoric as, quote, a term of endearment. Ambassador Hoekstra has accused Canada of interfering in US domestic politics while himself has made repeated interventions in Canadian political discourse inconsistent with diplomatic protocol. Ambassador Hoekstra has been linked to a Michigan-based voter identification app used by the Alberta separatist Centurion Project while claiming no knowledge of its use.
And the Alberta Prosperity Project met with the U.S. State Department officials 3 times between April 2025 and January 2026, with Hoekstra claiming no knowledge of these meetings, raising serious questions about U.S. diplomatic interference in Canadian Unity. So this preamble has to be approved by the House of Commons, and the House of Commons has legislative lawyers. They have to make sure that all of this is accurate. So the fact that they've allowed this to go forward shows that Parliament and the legislative branch understands the threat. So what are we asking for? We, the undersigned, the residents of Canada, call on the Government of Canada to: 1. Formally declare Pete Hoekstra persona non grata and request his removal as U.S. Ambassador to Canada.
2.
Raise with the United States the pattern of conduct by Ambassador Hoekstra inconsistent with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. Yep. And 3. Direct a parliamentary committee to review U.S. diplomatic interference in Canadian domestic affairs. Sign this, please. Get your friends to sign it. Let's get this in the hundreds of thousands of signatures..
And then I'll share with you, by the way, Hoekstra, go on Midas Canada. You scared of Midas Canada? You scared of Charlie Angus? Go on Midas Canada. We know you're terrified to sit across from Charlie Angus. Let's see you do it, Hoekstra. We are calling you out. Go to Midas Canada. Let Charlie Angus interview you. Let's see how tough you are, Mr. Tough Guy. Then Charlie Angus calls out Pete Hoekstra for doing the following on July 4th. Let's play this clip.
There's another thing that I want to point out about Pete Hoekstra, his 4th of July party where he invited jailbird Tamara Lynch. Imagine that, a sitting US ambassador inviting to the 4th of July a woman who needed a parole officer to let her in. And why was she invited in? Well, of course, she was one of the leaders of the occupation of Ottawa, an occupation that called for the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Canada. This is Pete Hoekstra trying to impose the kind of January 6th undermining democracy in Canada. He's using the power and the office of the US embassy to interfere and to undermine our country again and again with his gaslighting and his threats and insults.
Also show you what's going on right here on some of the Canadian TV shows, just so you can see. Here's Scott Reed on Donald Trump's continuing threats to put more tariffs on Canada because of the wildfires. Let's play it.
I really think the challenge for Carney is the public opinion mood has shifted. People are becoming hawkish, not just hawkish, Angry, like outright angry. And so—
At?
At Trump and the flexibility that the prime minister enjoys to not respond, I think is beginning to diminish. So if Trump's answer to these wildfires is to hit us with a bunch of new arbitrary tariffs, I think you'll find that Canadians will say, prime minister, we want you to punch back, do something. And it will remove some of his political flexibility in whatever is actually happening in these negotiations. So I watched this announcement. I think it's one that could really trigger a wildfire of anger across the country toward the Trump administration and by extension, therefore, on Carney to take action.
And then I want to show you the former premier of Quebec, Jean Charest. Here's Jean Charest on CBC telling Canadians, look, you got to buy Canada, buy Canadian. Here, play this clip.
In the meantime, though, let me share some advice or recommendations. If you're a Canadian and you're out in the marketplace this week, you're at the grocery store. By all means, buy Canadian, buy Canadian, buy Canadian. If you will feel that, you know, we all feel a little helpless with what's happening. You're not. We can all do something in a small way that is going to help our neighbors and our friends. And that is to support whatever they're producing at your local farmers market and the grocery store, at a store anywhere we go. Buy Canadian, Katie.
