Hey, it's PFT. Peloton is more challenging than most people think. I've been taking Peloton classes. I did one that was like a 30-minute pop jog the other day. Pop run outside, and I realized I signed up for a lot more than I thought I was doing. It was not as easy as I anticipated. It's a great workout. Peloton is the place where some of the best athletes leads to get their training. Peloton has some of the best coaches in the game. Jess Sims, one of the best. She's a former athlete. It really shows Alex Toussaint always pushes me to do my best. If I'm running, if I'm on the bike, he's a great motivator. There's so many challenging programs to choose from. I know Peloton has a few seasoned athlete coaches programs to help get you ready. They have strength for soccer, strength for golf, and gym plans that really force you to go all out. Peloton offers a range of challenging workouts. I like the ones that really get me out of my comfort zone, maybe have me work out a little bit longer than I'm used to. I feel great after I'm done.

Today is Wednesday, November 20th, and the Dallas Cowboys are deader than dead. It was already dead, but now it's really, really dead, and they're pathetic, and they shouldn't be on TV. But, oh, wait, we still have them on Monday Night Football that they can't flex because there's a Simpson broadcast.

00:04:05

And also because it's the Cowboys. I think that's a convenient excuse because I don't think that they would ever flex the Cowboys. Because what you could get with any Dallas game is exactly what you got last night, which is chaos, the building falling apart in Dallas before the game. And it still got 17 million viewers.

00:04:21

I mean, that's Monday Night Football, too.

00:04:23

Yeah, but also primetime games, Monday Night Football, Sunday Night Football.

00:04:27

I'm good with not having to watch the Cowboys anymore. They're really bad.

00:04:30

Listen.

00:04:31

They're not even fun bad.

00:04:32

I am, too. But guess what? People in general are going to watch the Dallas Cowboys if they're on primetime. That's the thing about them, and it sucks. But the Simpsons broadcast, that'll be fun to see the team just completely implode. I hope that Mike McCarthy is either Chief Wigham. That'd be the perfect fit as Chief Wigham, or maybe just Smithers on the sideline. Mr. Burns needs to be Jerry Jones.

00:04:54

I'm going to have to watch that broadcast because it's going to suck having to watch the Cowboys again. It's just not It's not fun. Cooper Rush, not fun.

00:05:02

Why don't they start Trey Lance?

00:05:04

He's probably not good.

00:05:05

But he's not Cooper Rush.

00:05:07

Right, but he's probably not good.

00:05:09

But why not at this point?

00:05:10

I think you got to be at least like, there's a level of competency that maybe he hasn't achieved.

00:05:15

I guess, but you traded a draft pick for him.

00:05:18

What was it? Like a seventh rounder?

00:05:19

No, I think it was higher than that. Was it? Yeah.

00:05:22

That was stupid.

00:05:23

I don't think that's that uncommon of a take to say that they should just try to start Trey Lance.

00:05:28

Yeah, I'm sure they will at some point. It was a fourth rounder. I'm sure they will at some point. I would assume there's got to be a reason he's not playing. You know what the saddest part? I think they will now maybe because they're so bad and it's over. But I think this was the last moment where they're like, Hey, maybe we'll win a game. And change it around.

00:05:45

It's not there. You know what the saddest part to me is watching Cooper Rush play quarterback for this team when he does the Here We Go that Dak does? The Dak. He needs to come up with his own cadence. Don't just try to do a cover of Dak Prescott's already annoying Here We Go.

00:06:00

It's very, very bad. Yeah, the Cowboys are very, very bad. Jerry's very, very bad. I feel like the fans have fully turned on him. He's in late stage dementia, weird. He's given these press conferences after. He's like, I've been here for bad teams, and bad years happen. It's like, yeah, we get it, but this team sucks, and you had no contingent. It's getting hidden by the fact that Dak Prescott got hurt. They sucked before that.

00:06:27

Oh, well before, yeah. Their defense stinks.

00:06:29

This It wasn't just a Dak Prescott got hurt, our year went to shit. It was bad before that.

00:06:34

Yeah, it was already bad. Your play at the running back position from week one was awful. Yeah. Bad team.

00:06:41

And the Texans get a little right, get a little mojo going right, with just never trailing in that game, just whooping up on them. That's got to feel good.

00:06:50

That first play should have counted. Yeah, I know. It was such a good first play, too.

00:06:53

It also was just classic for Laramie Tunzel. They probably practiced that play all week, and then he was like, he just didn't do it right. Yeah. He's a king of penalties. But yeah, the Texans, I don't really know where... I think the Texans are still in that second tier in the AFC, where they could maybe win a playoff game. I just don't know. I feel like they just don't have enough against a Bills, Ravens, stealers, chiefs.

00:07:18

Chargers. Chargers. What you just described is the Chargers, second tier.

00:07:21

No. You didn't let me finish. Thanks for waking up, Hank. You didn't let me finish. I was going to say Chargers.

00:07:27

The Hank might-8:00 at night. Hank was saying a couple of minutes ago, he might put a juicy little future on the Chargers. That'd be a sharp bet. He's just trolling me. That'd be a sharp bet.

00:07:34

You're going to be so mad if the Chargers win a playoff game. No. Yeah, you will. You'll get a little bit upset. No.

00:07:43

Zero fear.

00:07:44

Okay, so if you're the Cowboys, one thing I didn't understand last night, your season's over, right? You're not going to win anything. You've long since given up on that. Why not just let Brandon Aubrey have that 64-yard field goal?

00:07:54

Dude, he barely even kicked it.

00:07:56

It looked like a practice kick. It was nuts. I understand the idea idea that, okay, they called a penalty, which, by the way-No, no, no.

00:08:02

Never take points off the board.

00:08:03

Never take points off the board.

00:08:04

We learned that a long time ago.

00:08:05

Yeah, you don't want to take three points. You never know what could happen. Yeah, but you got your drive extended, so you're trying to score a countdown. As a Bear's fan, did that piss you off that they called a slap to the head, which hasn't been called in decades? No, listen, Matty Berflus already- And they didn't call running over the center's face.

00:08:20

He sent it into the league. I'm sure we'll fix everything. I don't like you, Hank. I'm stuck on the chargers thing.

00:08:26

By the way- You just named five AFC teams, and you didn't name the chargers. But hold on. The way you describe the Texans is perfect. It was the perfect description of the Chargers where they might win a playoff game. Hold on. They're not beating the Chiefs bills. Hold on.

00:08:38

What was the original bet, though? I said that... Now, I obviously believe in them fully, but the original bet that we all put in together was, I don't think the Chargers are going to win the Super Bowl, but they are at 45 to 1, insane odds because they're a playoff team and they could basically beat anyone in a one-game elimination seven.

00:08:58

Then I've been telling you, you're going to cash out You're going to cash out. You're going to cash out.

00:09:00

We agree to disagree.

00:09:02

No. Jay Billis. No.

00:09:03

Jay Billis agreed to disagree. Disingenuous.

00:09:05

You're disagreeing with yourself. No, you're just being disingenuous. You're disagreeing with your past self.

00:09:09

That's true. But that happens all the time.

00:09:11

You're taking out on me. No, I feel like the reason why- No, no, no. Hank, you're arguing with a ghost right now. You're arguing with something that doesn't exist anymore. I'm arguing with Big Cat's correct logic. That was old Big Cat.

00:09:21

That was incorrect logic is arguing with his correct logic. What I'm arguing, I'm taking it on you because I feel like the chargers are basically the only thing care about now. No. Because you were trolling me before and I think it's given you life. Actually, you should thank me.

00:09:36

We talked about it. We did talk about it on the show. It's like, when you cash out in the future, you're not going to root for it.

00:09:40

Yeah, you're rooting against it. But you should thank me for giving you life. You have purpose.

00:09:43

You have purpose.

00:09:44

This is an abusive relationship right here. Front row tickets to gaslighting.

00:09:49

Well, he reverse gaslit me.

00:09:51

There we go. Yeah, let's keep going.

00:09:54

Me reverse gaslighting you. It was just you saying things that you said previously.

00:09:58

Sorry. You know what? I want to I went to Max and Max only. Sorry that I came up with a bet that all the boys could ride on and we could have fun and root for it together, and then half of the boys cashed out. Sorry. Sorry I was rooting for that.

00:10:13

I'm still in.

00:10:14

Thank you, Max. I thought it would be fun.

00:10:16

No, you didn't let him play the butt.

00:10:18

No, my butt was going to be that before the show, we were all silent, and then Hank just whispers into the mic. He goes, Charger's a pretty good feature.

00:10:25

Yes, he's trolling me.

00:10:26

Yes, that's right. No one was talking, and Hank just was like, He's trolling me.

00:10:30

Can you at least admit that, PFT? I know you're taking Hank's side, but he's trolling me.

00:10:34

Oh, yeah, no shit. Yeah.

00:10:36

He is, but I can't gaslight someone who's trolling me. Sorry that I did something that we all could do together, and then Listen, I know I got Max. Max will always had my back. Everyone else just bailed on me.

00:10:49

Listen, I have not had a good gambling season, and responsibly, I cashed out of it. Jerry got way madder than you about the cash. Jerry approached me one-on-one, pulled me aside, and I had a sit down with me about why I would cash out on his stealers, and I didn't have a good answer for him.

00:11:04

No, I'm not mad. It was fun to do it as a crew. It was fun to do it as a crew. Travis Hunter has been fun for us. It was fun to do it as a crew. Then I found out just we don't do it as a crew. I like friendship.

00:11:18

But you cash out Travis Hunter, too? No.

00:11:21

Absolutely not. Diamond hands. Because I can't. They literally won't give it one. If there was, they would have.

00:11:27

I'd be lying if I said I didn't check DraftKings three times a day to see if they've given me an option to cash out on Travis Hunter or an option to cash out on Lamar Jackson.

00:11:36

The two of us will do friend bets together. Okay? Love it. We'll ride.

00:11:39

Can he cash out or no? Yeah.

00:11:42

If we talk about it, we did say if he says, Hey, remember how we talked about this? I'm going to cash out. I'd be like, Yeah, you guys cash out for a loss. The whole point was to cash out for a win. I don't know if I did. Yes, you did. You 100% did. There's no chance. No chance. No chance.

00:11:59

So Cowboys, Texans. The Texans-I don't even care about this game anymore.

00:12:03

That game sucks. Why are we even pretending about it?

00:12:06

I just want to say that the Texans, you said that they're in that second tier with the Chargers.

00:12:11

No, Chargers are in the first tier.

00:12:13

Chargers are in the first tier. I think the Texans are exactly the same type of team that they were last year. The difference is that C. J. Stroud is in the second season. I think everybody expected them to be in that top tier of the AFC. Because they're just a very good team, we're silently disappointed in them.

00:12:29

Well, their offensive The line is not great, and they've obviously had some injuries. It's good that Nico's back because he's awesome. I do think that we just expected C. J. Stroud to go into infinity. Like, Oh, that was his rookie year. He'll just be the best quarterback of all time.

00:12:47

We expected him to be better than Patrick Mahomes in the second season.

00:12:50

He's just what he is, which is a good quarterback.

00:12:52

Yeah, I think he's a very good quarterback.

00:12:53

He's had an up and down year. There's been some not great games.

00:12:56

They haven't really blown anybody. Have they blown anybody out? I just remember the Texans being in a shitload of close games, especially against teams that they should have blown out.

00:13:05

No, they have not really blown anyone out. No. They blew out the Patriots, 41-21. What did you just do, Hank?

00:13:14

Did You're right.

00:13:15

It was for a loss. The whole point was to do it for a win.

00:13:18

I got even money. Max, no investment.Good investment. No chance.

00:13:22

Sure?

00:13:23

Yeah, I'm pretty sure. I'll look it up.

00:13:26

Highly doubt that. I'm pretty sure it's the same exact odds, though.

00:13:29

If I didn't get even money-Max, you and I will talk, we'll have a strategy, the two of us.

00:13:33

Just boys. I'm not cashing out. No, but if we do-I have so little money.

00:13:38

We'll do it together. We'll turn the key together. It'll be a great experience.

00:13:42

I don't want to look through this sea of red and losses. Here's what I'll guarantee. It was the exact same cash out that they offered me right when I put the bet in. Minus 10%. That's minus money. Minus 10%, yeah. Good investment.

00:13:56

Okay, so other things, clean up from Sunday I wanted to point out this stat from our friend Ben Baby. This one's crazy. Through the first 11 games on the 4-7 bangles, Joe Burrow has 3,028 passing yards, 27 touch downs, and five interceptions. Players to achieve 3,000 passing yards, 27 touch downs, and five or fewer interceptions through the first 11 games. Here they are, Tom braided, 2007 and 2015. His teams were 16-0 and 0 and 13 and 3. Aaron Rodgers, 2011, 2020. His teams were 15 and 1, 13 and 3. Patrick Mahomes, 20, 20, 14 and 2. Drew Brees, 20, 18, 13 and 3. This entire exercise is just to prove that Joe Burrow is having an insane season and the rest of his team has let him down.

00:14:45

Yeah, it sucks. It sucks.

00:14:47

The lowest amount of wins was 13 and 3 of that list I just said. He's in a list with Tom braided, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, and Drew Brees, and they're 4 and 7.

00:14:59

We Can we start talking more about Joe Burrow being the MVP.

00:15:02

All right, you're trolling me too now.

00:15:05

I mean, if they're going a little wrong. Yeah.

00:15:07

I just got to live to get trolled.

00:15:09

Hank, you've seen these stats from Joe Burrow.

00:15:12

I have.

00:15:13

If he finishes, This is first in the league. Listen, first in the league for touch downs.

00:15:17

My biggest crime here, by the way, is being early to all these takes that actually have value. First in the league. Chargers, Travis Hunter, Joe Burrow, MVP. Who told you about all three of those a month and a half ago?

00:15:29

Smart guy.

00:15:30

That's my crime. That is my crime. I mean, he has MVP numbers. What do you want me to say?

00:15:36

He is having an outstanding season.

00:15:39

Sorry, I no ball.

00:15:40

If they make the playoffs, he would be in the conversation.

00:15:43

No, probably not because he's like the sixth seed now. I also, I mean, that was-Yeah, but if he made the play off, it would be so impressive that. He should be. The MVP conversation just becomes the team, the quarterback of the team on the one seed.

00:15:57

That sucks. But I think if his stats were all If they somehow won and they somehow went on a run to make the play, it would be different.

00:16:05

I agree. If he goes on like a media darling, if they run the table and finally speak in and he has insane numbers, he would definitely win.

00:16:15

I'd feel vindicated.

00:16:16

Are you still in on that? Yeah. What's the number you got there?

00:16:20

Fifteen.

00:16:21

It's 20 now.

00:16:22

Okay, so I might get in.

00:16:23

I might get in.

00:16:24

I might get right out.

00:16:25

I might do a parlay.

00:16:27

See, fuck you guys. I'm done I'm done saying my takes that actually end up being good that have value. I think now makes a lot of sense. Fuck you. You guys are welcome for telling me about Travis Hunter.

00:16:44

Okay. I had that conversation with Brandon Walker that day. That's why I thank you for bringing it up because I was going to bring it up on this very show. Brandon tried to talk me out of Travis Hunter.

00:16:54

He's been a Travis Hunter hater for the whole year.

00:16:56

I know. Okay, so let's start talking about what a dumb ass Brandon Walker is.

00:16:57

I got that one straight from you.

00:16:59

Fuck you, Hank. Okay.

00:17:02

All right. Now, I won't. That's whatever.

00:17:05

You know what? I'm going to keep my takes to myself.

00:17:07

Whatever.

00:17:08

I'm just going to tweet him out.

00:17:11

I was paying you a compliment.

00:17:13

I can't trust anything you say now. That's not nice. I can't. I feel like I'm Max right now.

00:17:19

I'm being honest. My opinion is that the charges are going to win Super Bowl.

00:17:22

Is that a crime? Great is honesty, Max.

00:17:24

He's never honest. Okay, thank you.

00:17:26

What? I appreciate that. I appreciate that, Max. I love this.

00:17:29

Everything he does on that. Everything else on that couch is a troll.

00:17:32

He's a troll.

00:17:33

I speak facts. What if I please point to me a fact that I've said that's been false?

00:17:38

When you sat down on that couch before we were recording, you were just like, I think Chargers Future is a good bet.

00:17:45

We should build a little bridge that goes above Hank's head on that wall behind there. A little troll guy.

00:17:51

Trolls live here. Yeah.

00:17:53

Don't feed the troll. I do love the new partnership, though, that Max and the big cat have. The Exist Bridge. The Exist Bridge.

00:18:00

I just took Joe Burrow 20 to 1, by the way.

00:18:02

Okay. No, what we should talk about before we talk college football is that guy over there that's just not said a word for the whole show. He's just watching the chaos, loving the chaos, thinking maybe, maybe, maybe they'll forget the fact that the Jets fired their GM in the middle of the season, and this is now just... I mean, even for the Jets, everything has happened. It's just there's such a dumpster fire. Memes, Joe Douglas gets fired. Is this the thing that will fix everything?

00:18:35

No, because he was pretty much... This was his final season. He had six games left. Yeah.

00:18:39

The timing of it makes absolutely no sense. I still don't understand it. They want to get a jump on him. They Fired their GM six weeks before the season's over. What was he going to be doing in those six weeks?

00:18:50

Well, I think you wanted to fire someone so that you can start your draft prep with someone who's actually going to be there to draft him.

00:18:57

I guess.

00:18:58

Yeah, but-I mean, they're scouting right now.

00:19:00

A bunch of reports came out that he pretty much wasn't the GM for the past nine months.

00:19:03

Oh, who was?

00:19:05

It was Woody Johnson. He took full control of the team.

00:19:09

Okay, so- That's awesome. I don't know if you had a chance to see this. A report just came out five minutes before we started taping that Woody Johnson tried to bench Aaron Rodgers after the Broncos game, and that Joe Douglas talked him out of it.

00:19:22

Who reported that?

00:19:24

Let me look it up. It was on The Athletic.

00:19:26

I mean, I believe you because apparently there's a bunch of reports coming out.

00:19:30

It's Diana Rossini and Zack Rosenblatt.

00:19:34

Uh-oh. That's a half of Rossini.

00:19:36

Jets owner Woody Johnson suggested benching Aaron Rodgers in September per sources. Apparently, Douglas talked him out of it And all the other... So after that game, Woody Johnson summoned every coach to the office to explain to him what went wrong. Defense coordinator, head coach, offense coordinator, whatever it is Nathaniel Hackett does. He was in the room, too. Joe Douglas was there. And he asked them to explain themselves, and then he said, Well, what about benching Aaron Rodgers right now? And they said, Are you serious? They asked him if he was serious, and he was.

00:20:10

I believe it because everything that's coming out, this guy's just an asshole.

00:20:17

The Jets are just... I mean, is Aaron Rodgers just the coach of NGM right now?

00:20:23

No, he's gone, too. Fully?

00:20:25

Fully, he's gone. Where's he going to go? Is he the Titans' quarterback?

00:20:29

Titans would be a good fit for him.

00:20:30

That would be fun because he could win the AFC South, maybe.

00:20:34

Maybe, probably not. I think he might walk across to the other locker room.

00:20:38

What? The Giants?

00:20:40

He loves New York.

00:20:41

If you look at which teams need a quarterback, Oh, my God.

00:20:46

I didn't even think about that.

00:20:47

They improve their own line. They have some receivers. Their defensive line is good. He doesn't have to move. He doesn't have to move.

00:20:53

He loves New York.

00:20:54

And then somebody else threw out the Panthers, but he wouldn't go to the Panthers. No way.

00:20:57

No, that's beneath them.

00:21:00

Yeah. Wait, the Giants.

00:21:01

The Giants, that's intriguing.

00:21:03

And you know how this is going to work means, right?

00:21:07

Yeah, he'll be good again.

00:21:09

He'll be very good for at least one year. He's going to go. So if he goes to the Giants, he'll be awesome for a year, then it'll be over. But he'll have one year just to... Because he basically will just have a chip on his shoulder. If you break down what happened with Aaron Rodgers, I know everyone goes with the Achilles, and the Achilles obviously ended that season. The biggest reason that Aaron Rodgers didn't work the Jets is because the Achilles took away his chip on his shoulder year. The guy is great when he has a chip on his shoulder. He had it from Green Bay. He got hurt, couldn't play. The chip on the shoulder goes away. Now he's got a year where he doesn't have to prove anything. Next year is his chip on his shoulder year for the Jets.

00:21:46

If he wanted a chip on his shoulder, he should have just taken the vax.

00:21:49

It's true.

00:21:50

Now, if he goes to the Giants, it would be a troll move, too. I know that he loves... His next move might just be to piss off whoever his most recent enemy is. In this case, it would be the Jets. I feel like that would piss the Jets off the most, right?

00:22:06

Yeah, 100%. Yeah.

00:22:08

So that could happen.

00:22:10

That could happen. I was just looking at the list of teams, and there's not many suiters. People were saying the Vikings, but JJ McCarthy is going to start when he's healthy.

00:22:20

It's like whichever team doesn't get Sam Darnold.

00:22:25

Yeah. Then people were saying, Jets get Daniel Jones.

00:22:28

What? Why?

00:22:29

I don't know.

00:22:31

What?

00:22:31

That's just people trying to get to you.

00:22:35

Yeah, they're making photos. That's the people doing the Mike McCarthy to the bears. You can't let that get to you.

00:22:42

It's a bad situation.

00:22:43

I walked past Earlier in the office, there was a huddle. Means were sitting at the table.

00:22:51

I'm starting to see through Max's eyes and it just feels good. Okay, go ahead. Yes, troll.

00:22:56

I saw Hank. He wanted to ask a question this entire time.

00:22:59

It's my favorite I love what you add to everything. Go ahead. This isn't a troll. Okay.

00:23:05

This is a report.

00:23:06

No, I know what Hank's going to say. Okay.

00:23:09

Please report.

00:23:11

I literally can't even speak.

00:23:13

I'm sorry to speak. Go ahead.

00:23:14

I want to hear your report. I started giving a report. I want to hear your report. This is an eyewitness report. From you? From me. Okay. My eyes witnessed this and heard.

00:23:23

Okay.

00:23:24

Memes were sitting around a table with the pug, Liam. His guys. Four other people. His crew. What are you guys huddling? Everyone's standing around. Me and him was sitting down, showing all the power. I was like, What are you guys doing? They said, They're fixing the jets.

00:23:39

Yeah, me, Blutman is like, What is the plan?

00:23:42

We're fixing the jets. Okay, so go ahead. Is that a troll?

00:23:45

No, that's not a troll. We came up with a bunch of different scenarios. Condoleezza Rice was at one of the crazier scenarios.

00:23:54

Okay. One of the crazier scenarios?

00:23:56

Yeah, we went through as many scenarios as you Justin Fields was one of the options.

00:24:02

I would say no. No, that will not fix you.

00:24:07

As a Bridge quarterback.

00:24:09

No, that will not fix you.

00:24:11

The best scenario was Mike Vrabel as Coach, Kevin Stefancy gets fired from the Browns. He becomes the OC. You bring in Jameis as the Bridge.

00:24:18

Okay.

00:24:19

And then Super Bowl.

00:24:21

Wait, but there has to be something at the other side of the Bridge. You said Jamis. Jamis.

00:24:25

But he's the Bridge. But he's the Bridge.

00:24:26

No, but the Bridge is also a Super Bowl.

00:24:28

Oh, it's just a Bridge. It just lasts forever.

00:24:29

You win a Super Bowl in a rebuilding year. Okay, got it.

00:24:32

But it's a rebuilding year, but it's not at the same time because the roster is still good. We just don't have a quarterback.

00:24:38

There's another name that you told me that you want, and that's Sam Darnold.

00:24:42

Oh, what? Yeah, Sam Darnold. What? Sam got thrown out there, too. It was dark. It was dark. It was dark times. Memes.

00:24:47

I think we asked you about that a week ago, and you puked.

00:24:51

Memes.

00:24:53

But that's just as a bridge, and none of this is going to happen because we're just going to draft someone who's going to suck.

00:24:58

Memes.

00:24:59

You That's the difference between American sports fans and European sports. European sports fans, if they had a Jets doing this to them, they would riot. There would be like stones thrown at cars. They don't put up with shit over there.

00:25:13

No, you're right. We just take it. People just keep buying tickets, keep buying jerseys. We haven't made the playoff in 14 years. I went my entire 20s without seeing the Jets in a playoff. It's tough. Now, things are going to change because the owner is still the same.

00:25:28

Yeah. What are you going to say, Hank?

00:25:29

No, That sucks. I didn't think about the 20s.

00:25:32

What were your 20s like, hey?

00:25:35

There's a decade to win. It's your 20s. But that's all right. 30s are fun, too.

00:25:40

30s are fun, too. Are you 30?

00:25:42

I'm turning.

00:25:43

When? March. So you got to win a playoff game this year.

00:25:48

Wait, your whole 20s?

00:25:51

Whole 20s.

00:25:52

Jets haven't been in the playoff since I was a sophomore in high school.

00:25:56

Hank, stop. Stop it, I think.

00:26:01

Wild.

00:26:01

Stop it.

00:26:04

I hope memes that you get to see a playoff one.

00:26:08

I truly do.

00:26:08

I don't think it could ever happen.

00:26:10

Yeah.

00:26:10

You got to figure out Coach 2. Your number one is Vrabes.

00:26:15

I mean, memes. I've been to the playoffs, but we've talked about it. It's the same dysfunction happens in both places. They're a little bit different because the Jets dysfunction is more all in, and then they fall on their face. The bear's dysfunction is more, Hey, let's hope we catch lightning in a bottle every now and then, and then fuck it up. You guys actually take a shot.

00:26:42

Yeah. You took a shot. That's the one thing about this here. You do appreciate the effort of trying to go all in. Correct. Right. But it was just the biggest disaster of all time.

00:26:52

Yeah. Man, what are you going to say, Max? Playoffs are overrated. Yeah.

00:26:58

You just Well, Hank's not allowed to say that. No. Because losing sucks. Getting to the playoffs, getting your hopes up, and then losing is so much pain.

00:27:08

Yeah, but going on a run is so much fun.

00:27:10

Yeah, getting to the playoffs is fun.

00:27:12

You got it.

00:27:14

Yeah. Yeah. This is loser talk. Yes. 100%. Hank. Guilty as charged.

00:27:20

Hank.

00:27:24

Playoffs are overrated.

00:27:25

There you go.

00:27:28

That's okay being mediocre. That's so bad. I feel great. All right.

00:27:31

Speaking of playoff, should we talk some college football? Should we talk some college football? We have the rankings out. The rankings, I just had them in front of me, and then I just lost them. Here they are. It is right now the playoff bracket would be one seed, Oregon, two seed, Texas, three seed, Miami, four seed, Boise State, because BIO just lost. Then it would be home game for Ohio State against BIO, home game for Notre Dame against Alabama. That would be awesome. Home game for Penn State against Georgia, and home game for Indiana versus Ole Miss. We're two weeks Three weeks, really, because we have the conference championships away from the first 12-team playoff bracket. I like how everyone's getting upset. What are your initial thoughts, PFT?

00:28:26

My initial thoughts are it's fun to be mad about a hypothetical list will ultimately look much different in two weeks. So, yeah, get your anger out somehow. There's a lot left. It's probably healthy to get some of this anger that's pent up out. There is some anger that, I guess, could be pointed towards. Who would you say would be the most undeserving higher seat. A lot of people are looking at Ohio State, Indiana, because they're about to play this weekend. Indiana fans still have a right to be upset. Here's what I'll say about Indiana. Get all of your hatred out right now. Enjoy attacking the media for underrating you because you don't know what's going to happen. There's a good chance you get your ass kicked by Ohio State this weekend. So take this time. Savor every moment of hate that you get to have at the committee for not treating you properly with enough respect Because- Well, I think they're ranked fine right now. If you look at it, they don't have a loss. You play who you play.

00:29:20

We talked about- But this is also, remember, this is the rankings for the automatic qualifiers are one through four. So they're ranked fine. You see what I'm saying? Boisey is not Boise is not ranked higher than Indiana right now. They just are the automatic qualifier.

00:29:35

No, I know that.

00:29:36

So India is ranked fifth. Where else would you rank them? I mean, Penn State would be the only gripe you'd have. But I think Indiana is ranked fine right now. The problem with Indiana is that Greg Sankey made a call to all of media on Monday and had everyone in the media bash them when they have their big game coming up against Ohio State, and that makes no sense to me. Indiana has not played anyone. Indiana is an awesome story. Indiana is an underdog story. I'm rooting for Indiana. Let them at least go play Ohio State before we say Indiana sucks. That was my problem. They have the game to play. They're going to play the game on Saturday. Let Indiana go play them. If they If they get killed, I have no problem if people want to say that Indiana with one loss shouldn't be in the playoff. I really won't if they get killed because they have not played anyone. But I want to see them play and compete, and I think they're going to hold them. I think they're going to do a good job staying in this game and maybe winning this game.

00:30:30

Yeah. So Indiana this weekend, I want them to win. I'm rooting for Indiana because I'm a fan of chaos first and foremost, when it comes to all this college football talk. I'm rooting for the double doomsday scenario where the Big 12 doesn't even get anybody in. That is a possibility. It's unlikely.

00:30:46

It's pretty unlikely.

00:30:48

But it could happen. At the start of the season, we were saying that there's no chance that a group of five gets a buy in the payoff. Yeah. But that's become a possibility. Yes. Now we're realizing that the double doomsday is That's also a possibility. I think if you're an SEC team, if you end up with two losses and you're an SEC team, you really don't have a right to complain about anything.

00:31:09

Unless you're Georgia.

00:31:11

Potentially Georgia.

00:31:12

Georgia played a gauntlet schedule.

00:31:13

Potentially Georgia. I understand that. Now, I think Georgia, they might be the best team in the country. Right.

00:31:18

They played Clemson, non-conference. They had to play all their tough games on the road. Georgia is the only one. But the big thing is, my big takeaway away from this entire week is everyone, again, I think there was a coordinated hit against Indiana, which makes no sense to me because this is the last time they can say, strength the schedule. Their strength of schedule is about to get a lot better because they're going to play Ohio State this weekend in Columbus. Let them play on the field before we say they shouldn't be in. If they get smoked on Saturday, then I'm fine. They shouldn't be in. But let them actually play. Since when did we not like these underdog stories? Actually, I know the answer to that. It's pretty much the minute the underdog takes the blue heads away, which is what happens in all sports. We root for the underdog, and then if the blueblood blood gets squeezed out, we're like, No, we don't want this underdog anymore. Texas and Penn State have been hiding behind their resumes for the entire time, and no one's saying anything about that.

00:32:17

Texas is hiding behind just a multi-decade resume at this point, because if Texas loses, if they- They should be out. Then they should be out, right? Yes, 100 %. A two-loss Texas team- They have no big wins. They don't have their best win is what, in Michigan?

00:32:30

No, Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt? Yeah. Yeah. And Penn State is the same way. I know, Max, you don't like hearing that, but Penn State- A hundred %. They're hiding in place. The ire has been at Indiana when it's like, How about Texas and Penn State?

00:32:43

I have been saying We've been talking about this all day in the office, I need Ohio State to beat the shit out of Indiana. Because then that problem is the rise for Penn State, I think.

00:32:53

Right. If Indiana wins this game or yeah, because there could be... Yeah, but Texas, Penn State will not lose a game, probably. I think they have- Minnesota this weekend. That's not easy. Yeah, that's not easy. Then they play, I think, finished with Maryland. Texas could easily lose Texas A&M. It is a mess everywhere. I just didn't like the coordinated hit on Indiana. I do have something very funny to share with you guys. This made me laugh. So Indiana Twitter, shout out them. They've been fighting really hard, and they've been going after people, and I respect it. This guy, fifth ranked Indiana edits. I'm just going to assume he's a stooly. Maybe not. But anyway, he said he posted a group chat with his friends that said, We need to get Dan Dackage involved in this SEC fight. Let's bring out the big guns. Got to find a way to show the SEC is woke. Then Chris DePlante, he quote-tweeted Rosillo and McShay talking. He said, Hey, Dackage, the West Coast, California, Liberals are trying to steal another election, handing out a participation trophy to a two-loss SEC team is utter woke nonsense. Do something. Then Dakhich, five minutes later-My ass.quote-tweeted the same tweet and said, This is about Rosillo McShay.

00:34:11

Dudes that were never in a locker room other than to take a peek, get an autograph, or take a picture. He just mission accomplished, got him in.

00:34:19

He played college football.

00:34:20

Yeah, he did.

00:34:21

He was a quarterback, right? Yeah.

00:34:22

But it was so funny. They weaponized the.

00:34:25

That's how you do it. Rasilla lives in locker rooms. They're usually at an Equinox, but he's always in a locker.

00:34:30

Yeah, I just loved it. So shout out Indiana fans fighting the good fight on Twitter.

00:34:34

I also love Joe Galloway. This is brain rot. So college football has their brain rot, and it's reached its peak with Joe Galloway, who says that Indiana should consider benching their quarterback, Curtis Roark, against Ohio State to avoid a repeat of what happened last year with FSU, and their quarterback getting injured at the end of the season. It's broken everybody's brain. And what I love about the college football playoff is you You expand the argument. There's, in theory, an argument that you could have every year about the 14 playoff, and now you've just got so many other schools making a case that they deserve to be in it, yada, yada, yada. My resume is better than this resume. But at the end of the day, you can tell those teams that are bitching if they get left out. You should have won more games. Yeah, you should have won more games. You should have won more games. That's about as simple as it gets.

00:35:20

You could do it with almost like, listen, I think Tennessee is a very good team. Obviously, didn't go well for them in Georgia. Tennessee, you lost to Arkansas. Arkansas is not good. I get it. You play a tough schedule. Alabama, you lost to Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt had a nice run there, but they're not going to finish it. If you have two losses and one of them isn't the best loss, that's why Georgia- Ole Miss has two bad losses. Yeah. Well, wait. Lsu is a bad loss now. I mean, that was a crazy game. That was a pure Saturday night in Baton Rouge game.

00:35:52

Kentucky is a bad loss.

00:35:53

Kentucky is a bad loss. Yeah, it's just like, and I get it, Indiana. The one thing I like about People complain about the unbalanced schedule now. I like it just because a team like Indiana can have a season like this where the schedule bounces their way, and still they have to prove it. They have to prove it in Columbus on Saturday. Wait, what were you saying about Joey Galloway further on that?

00:36:13

No, I was done with Joey Galloway. I just think it's funny that he's reached that point where he's thinking through these scenarios to the point where he's got... It's that meme of the guy that his brain is so big that he's playing chess against his own brain. That's what Joey Galloway is doing. I was going to talk about Georgia again real quick. I think Georgia is the best team the country. When it was Texas and Georgia playing each other, I said that Texas was the one. I was wrong about that. But the more I've watched Georgia, since there's no real dominant team in the SEC this year, I think Georgia at their best beats any team at their best. I think Georgia at their worst also beats any team at their worst. The floor for Georgia is higher than any other team's floor. I think that Georgia Georgia, like medium Georgia, probably beats everybody at their medium, except for maybe Alabama.

00:37:05

I was going to say counterpoint Alabama. They literally can't beat Alabama.

00:37:08

Yeah, Alabama. That was a weird game because you had- But I'm saying in the past, Kirby can't. You had Alabama at their best and Georgia at their worst in the first half. Then it flip-floped in the second half.

00:37:18

But Kerby can't beat Alabama.

00:37:20

I think the way that Georgia has been playing recently, I think they are the best team in the country. But they're not a perfect team.

00:37:26

I think Oregon is pretty damn good, too. I think Ohio State is pretty damn good. This is why I like the 12-team playoff. I think there's a lot of good... Ole Miss's defensive line can wreck anyone. There's something about seven or eight teams where I'm like, Yeah, if they do... Even in Miami, who I don't think is great, their defense is great, Kam Ward can win a playoff game. That's what I love about this.

00:37:48

I also have no idea how to handicap a matchup between Oregon and Georgia. No idea. That, to me, they might as well be playing in two different countries. My brain can't comprehend what that match up would even look like.

00:38:00

I know Oregon didn't look great against Wisconsin on Saturday. That was like Wisconsin was throwing everything they had at them. Also, Oregon, that was their eighth straight game. That was the longest streak of games without a bye week in the country. You could see that they were running out of gas.

00:38:17

All in conference, do you think, right?

00:38:19

Yeah, they were running out of gas. I wasn't shocked that they played with fire there. I still think Oregon's very, very good. They also have some of their guys. I think they're running back. They I have them on load management, basically. They'll stop doing that once they get to the playoff.

00:38:34

The end of that game was insane when Dan Lanning faked a punt. That was so stupid. I think that's probably eight games. His brain is probably exhausted at this point because that was some dumb shit that he tried to pull. He got away with it. Troll, you had a question.

00:38:49

Go ahead, Troll.

00:38:52

No, I don't ask it then.

00:38:53

No, I want it. I want the Troll question. You raised your hand. We need a graphic where he comes out from underneath the bridge.

00:39:00

What do you want me to do? I want.

00:39:01

This is what I want. I'm not trolling.

00:39:03

Okay, ask your non-troll question.

00:39:05

I want it. I want the question.

00:39:07

Troll, you are dismissed. Henry Lockwood, do you have a question? I will go sit.

00:39:10

Maxon comes in the couch. I'll go sit in the booth like President Pug wants. I don't know what I'm supposed to do sitting in this seat?

00:39:17

You're doing it.

00:39:19

You're doing a great job. But I'm not trolling.

00:39:20

But when you do troll, you do a great job. That's what the people want.

00:39:25

What did you think about Oregon flipping the jump around on Wisconsin by just going absolutely nuts.

00:39:31

What do you mean? The fans?

00:39:32

No, the players.

00:39:34

Yeah, a lot of teams do that.

00:39:38

Yeah. You thought they took back jump around?

00:39:40

They did. Yeah.

00:39:41

Jump around is not great.

00:39:43

Yeah, I know. Max didn't think so. Guess what? Madison, with the new teams from the West Coast, there was a lot of Oregon fans there. Madison's a great college town. Everyone puts it on their list of places they want to go see. So we have a lot of fans show up. My buddy was there. He said there was Oregon fans everywhere. Bucket list.

00:39:58

I was just curious.

00:40:00

That wasn't Troll.

00:40:02

Never is.

00:40:03

How are your Washington Huskies doing?

00:40:04

Bad.

00:40:05

Yeah.

00:40:06

I could play spoiler this week, though.

00:40:08

That's the other thing I want to say just in defense of Indiana. I know I'm defending Indiana a lot. You don't know year to year what your schedule is going to look like. Everyone had Florida State on their schedule this year. I understand what you're going to say. They did cancel a game against Louisville for Western Illinois. That does hurt their case. But they had on their schedule, Michigan and Washington, two teams that were in the national championship last year, two teams that their coaches left, and their programs completely took a big step back. You can't really predict that part.

00:40:41

No, I'm rooting very hard for Indiana.

00:40:43

You're going to say the Western Illinois thing, which is fair.

00:40:45

I learned about that like an hour ago.

00:40:48

No, that's Louisville fans are all up in Indiana's face. Kirst Signetti was not the one who canceled the game.

00:40:53

Yeah, but in Indiana's defense, Indiana, if you look at their schedule this year compared to what Indiana has played in the past, you can't write any of these games down as easy wins for Indiana. No. Going into this season under a normal Indiana football team, this is a hard schedule for them because they have not been good at football, and they turned it around, and they are very good at football. I don't think that this is a fluke either. They got good players. They got a great coach. Just got an extension, by the way. Yeah. Which I mean, extension is in college football. It means nothing. It really means... He got a temporary raise, at least for the next month. And then He's probably free to go anywhere he wants to delete that contract on fire. Nothing that they've done this year, to me, screams fluke at all. I think Signetti, he's a real deal.

00:41:40

Are you looking at their schedule next year?

00:41:43

Well, this was just what somebody else was.

00:41:45

Oh, yeah, that's not a good non-conference.

00:41:47

They've skipped non-conference. They've decided to elect out of non-conference games.

00:41:54

They do have to go to Oregon and Penn State next year.

00:41:57

Odu, Old Dominion. Yeah, Kennesaw State.

00:42:02

Kennesaw State won one game this year. Then they fired their coach who built their program. The turnover plan? Built their program. Yeah. Indiana State, Sycamores. Yeah, that's fair. They skipped on conference. I wish Wisconsin wouldn't play Alabama at a home and home. That sucks. It sucks. I'd rather have that be a win. We'd be bowl eligible right now.

00:42:23

But you know what? There's really no need to schedule a tough out-of-conference schedule with a 12-team playoff.

00:42:29

Well, you could make the case. Yes, you should, because if Indiana had played and beaten Louisville and then they lose to Ohio State, they would still have a case to be in the 12-team playoff. If they lose to Ohio State and they have no signature win, no big win, it's going to be harder to make that case.

00:42:48

I would like to see Indiana in it.

00:42:50

Yeah, but you see what I'm saying. If they beat Louisville earlier, they would have a lot better of a chance.

00:42:54

But if you schedule hard games for yourself out of conference, it just makes it more likely that you're going to take away the possibility of you being in the playoff.

00:43:03

Yeah, that's loser talk.

00:43:05

It's cowards way out.

00:43:05

Yeah, that's what's cowards.

00:43:07

But guess what? The cowards way out is working right now.

00:43:10

Well, no, it could backfire on them.

00:43:12

If they get exposed. That's what I'm saying.

00:43:13

If they lose to Ohio State by a lot, it actually will be the wrong approach because playing and beating Louisville would have gotten them in.

00:43:20

You're banking on the opportunity to get kicked out by your one tough loss that you have and then spending the time getting mad at the committee for not putting you in, even though you only have one loss. Correct. Which, as a loser, is a pretty satisfying way to deal with it. Yeah.

00:43:35

The Big 12. So the Big 12 could be left out. I still don't think it's going to happen. Bio lost to Kansas, which BIO has been playing with fire for a long time. Now we have Arizona State, who is a great story and has been playing great ball, could give BIO their second loss this weekend because they have to go down to Tempe. Colorado and Travis Hunter going to Kansas, who's playing great ball as well, is going to be a tough one. The Big 12 just eats itself alive. Also, shout out Kenny Dillingham, the coach of Arizona State. He's the guy who you're going to try out for in the offseason.

00:44:12

Yeah, I've been working out.

00:44:13

He's awesome.

00:44:13

He's a great coach. I've been working the leg out the last couple of days back on the Peloton. I think I can get up. What if I 40 yards by my 40th birthday? Yeah, I love that. Is that good enough? I love that. Study law at Arizona State?

00:44:26

Sure.

00:44:27

They've got a good program. Why not?

00:44:29

Yeah, they'veNot every day. What do you think a law degree from Arizona State would get me?

00:44:34

What would my hourly rate be?

00:44:37

You'd be like-100 bucks? Good ambulance. I only know one person who went to Arizona State, and he's got issues.

00:44:46

I feel like law degree from Arizona State, DUI Specialist. Yeah. Okay. I think that might be my goal. Yeah.

00:44:55

The Big 12 is going to be chaotic. This is what the Big 12 is built on parody. The Big 12 is built on the chaos. The Big 12's chaos, very unlikely, but could fuck them.

00:45:07

What are the chances? It's probably unlikely, but Oklahoma State is having just an awful season. They are shitty. Gunde is going to stick around for forever, right? Yeah. In Stillwater? Yeah. He's not going anywhere. No. No matter how shitty it gets?

00:45:22

No. Well, I mean, unless he wants to leave. Yeah. No. Jets? Not a troll.

00:45:29

Oh, I mean, memes.

00:45:32

That was so perfect because there's that fine line of him being like, You guys accused me of being in trouble. Did he get help from us?

00:45:40

Dude, Mike Gunde in New York would be so funny.

00:45:44

Memes also is going off on Rizini back here right now. What are you saying? Seriously, where is she getting these sources? Where is she getting these sources? Why does that make any sense? We just beat the shit out of the Patriots before that game.

00:45:59

We did. I'm going to go out on a limb. I don't have any Racine sources on this.

00:46:05

You are a Racine source.

00:46:07

No, but I'm saying I've not contacted my sources at Racine Incorporated. But I'm going to guess with the timing of everything, maybe Joe Douglas was a source.

00:46:17

You think? Memes?

00:46:22

It's just a little far fetch to believe because they just beat the shit out of the Patriots on primetime the week before, and they lost because of a missed field goal.

00:46:33

Which would have made it a 12 to 10 win.

00:46:36

In the pouring rain.

00:46:37

Okay. That really was the game that ended everything.

00:46:40

Everything.

00:46:43

Memes.

00:46:45

Mike Gunde. Yeah, no. Yeah, Mike Gunde.

00:46:47

You declined Mike Gunde?

00:46:48

Mike Gunde. Biff Poey.

00:46:50

Bring him on in. Dude, he's the best.

00:46:51

He was fired at Charlotte. All-time football guy. He's the dude that coaches the cutoff, the sleeveless vest on the sidelines.

00:46:59

And is independently very wealthy.

00:47:02

Yeah. They brought him back to practice this week. Do you see that? Even though they fired him last week, they let him come onto the practice field and address the team. Say goodbye.

00:47:11

Yeah.

00:47:11

Which is, I guess it's pretty cool for Charlotte because he seems like a cool guy. Memes. Would I actually expect the Jets to try to do, possibly, Cliff Kingsbury?

00:47:20

I saw people say that. No.

00:47:23

It's tough bringing up scenarios to Memes because he lives online. So no matter what scenario you bring up to him, he's like, Yeah, I saw some tweets saying that earlier.

00:47:31

I've seen most scenarios, and I don't like most of them. Mike Vrabel is the only one. I think we would ruin Ben Johnson. Ben Johnson would come in. He would just be Adam Gase 2.0..

00:47:45

There's no chance Vrabel would go into that situation.

00:47:47

No.

00:47:48

Adam Gase 2.0..

00:47:49

But I'm saying he would.

00:47:51

Why don't you run it back? Stop. Hyperdrive.

00:47:54

Hyperdrive. Come on.

00:47:56

I don't think there's a coach that wants to coach to Jets that will be the Jets head coach next year.

00:48:02

Wait. Say that again.

00:48:05

There's not a coach out there that wants to coach the... The coach of the Jets next year won't want to coach the Jets. It'll just be the only available job open because they want to be a head coach. They don't want to be the coach of the Jets.

00:48:17

It sounds like you're saying there's no one out there who wants to coach the Jets. Correct. That's an easier way to say it.

00:48:25

I like the way I say it.

00:48:26

You got to find a special team's coach that nobody knows about, but is a great leader of men.

00:48:32

Yeah. Again, we're in the same spot. I do not think that the bears will get the first- No, no, no, no, no, The number one choice the bears could make, they'll say, We're not going to interview him because he's too much of a man. The number two choice will probably say, I don't want to coach for the bears because that's a dysfunction. Number three choice will be like, I'm going to go do this. We'll get the fourth or fifth. We're not the top choice team. Yeah, we're not the top choice. Right. We've never been the top choice team.

00:49:06

But you're definitely a more attractive choice than you are.

00:49:09

Yes, but we're not a top choice team.

00:49:13

That's a fact. Is there a college coach at I feel like that's where the Jets are at. The Jets are at that point. Every franchise has been through this. You try every other way. You try to get guys that you think might be surefire hits, and none of them work out. Then you say, Oh, fuck it. I'll try to get a hotshot college coach, and we'll just see if that works, even though it has never worked, with the exception of maybe Harbaugh. I guess Harbaugh was a college coach. Pete Carroll. Pete Carroll, yeah, but he also had a previous stint in the NFL.

00:49:42

For the Jets.

00:49:43

For the Jets, yeah. The Jets How sick would it be if the commanders drafted the Kansas quarterback as the backup?

00:49:52

Yeah, no, I don't want to hear finish the college football talk with one of the craziest stats I've ever seen? Sure. Not Travis Hunter, who should be the heisman. Colorado needs to be Kansas. Kansas is very good now.

00:50:07

That's a great, great, great, great, great Jalen Daniels. So I was rooting for Kansas on Saturday night when I was watching the game just because they kept saying Jalen Daniels, and it made me feel like half excited.

00:50:32

Yeah, it would be cool. It would be cool.

00:50:34

Yeah.

00:50:35

Here's the crazy stat. So Kentucky is playing Texas this weekend. That is the farthest West Kentucky football has ever played a football game.

00:50:50

Oh, wow.

00:50:51

Good stat. That's crazy.

00:50:53

It's like half the country.

00:50:56

Half the country. Kentucky has never played a football game West of Austin, Texas.

00:51:01

Not even a bowl game? Nope.

00:51:03

That's nuts.

00:51:04

Not even a bowl game.

00:51:05

Not even a bowl game. This is from Brian Davis.

00:51:11

What was the previous record? Was that Baton Rouge?

00:51:13

They played in Austin like 40 years ago.

00:51:17

So they're matching their previous record.

00:51:18

They're matching their previous record. Well, depending on where the stadium is.

00:51:21

I think DKR has been in the same spot.

00:51:23

Okay, but did they add to it? They did add to it. Did they add to it West?

00:51:28

They built a highway, an overpass next to it, but I don't know if they moved it. If they did move it, I think they would have moved it a little bit Northwest because there's another field next to it. So it could possibly be the furthest they've ever gone.

00:51:44

Uk's last game at Texas was 73 years ago. That's crazy. So this is the furthest. That was Bear Bryant coaching them. Bear Bryant was a Kentucky coach in 1951. That's just nuts to me. Never played a game further West than Austin, Texas.

00:52:02

Okay. Darryl K. Royal Stadium has been home to the Longhorns football team since 1924. Okay. So I'm thinking it has not moved.

00:52:10

But have they added to the stadium, which I assume they did.

00:52:13

They added to the stadium. So the fans might be I'm not furthest away from Kentucky, but I don't think the players will.

00:52:16

Where do they walk in? Has the entrance changed? Is it further west than east?

00:52:22

I think the entrance is on the south side. Okay. I'm not sure, though. I'll get boots on the ground to answer this.

00:52:27

Find out if there's any orientation in the field that's changed at all. Even if they changed the layout of the field and one of the end zone goes 5 feet further west, that'll be the furthest west they've ever played.

00:52:40

Right now, I'm actually looking at the history of the renovations at DKR Stadium. They added suites. When was the date of that game? 1951. 1951. Anything post 1951 here. They added lights, so that was a day game. This is the important stuff. I'm not I think it might be because they expanded both in zones. So the walk in is going to be further away no matter what. Okay.

00:53:08

So, yeah, we might have something. You're watching history when you watch that game. Yes. Okay. Last thing. Before we kick it to ourselves. Hank, good job. We're going to talk about the Cavs with Pat Bave, but you broke up the Cavs. Yep.

00:53:22

Popped the champagne.

00:53:23

Nba Cup. They actually are very fun games. It does feel like they try harder.

00:53:28

I will say two things because there has been also a lot of talk and reports about the NBA ratings being down and people asking what the cause is. I do like the NBA Cup. It makes it important. The Celtics lost the game last week to the Hawks. They never should have lost. And all of a sudden, if they had lost tonight, then they would be screwed for the NBA Cup, which is crazy. But it made tonight's game that much more interesting. I do not like the court. I think for a casual fan, it's going to take a while for them to get the NBA Cup. It It just doesn't help. It's like, what is wrong with this court? Then you have to explain this whole long NBA Cup thing. Not a fan of the court. I disagree.

00:54:08

I also hate- Wait, are you not a fan of the court? Or are you not a fan of explaining to people?

00:54:12

The courts, I just don't like personally watching them. Then it's like, Why are they doing this? They say it's because it's for the NBA Cup. I just don't think that's ever going to click to a casual fan like, Oh, new court.

00:54:21

I like it because it feels different.

00:54:23

I like it because it comes with some nice time lapses. You get to watch when you see them changing the court out.

00:54:30

The game feels different.

00:54:31

Yeah, it feels different. It looks like you're watching it on Twitch. It looks like it's in a Twitch streamer's room. Yeah.

00:54:37

I just hate the Celtic City Connect jerseys this year. What are they? They're Oregon jerseys. I don't understand the City Connect, we're going to connect it back to a city. The Celtics have had the same jersey and like scheme forever, and they just made jerseys. They legitimately look like Oregon.

00:54:53

Yeah, I don't love the crazy jerseys in the NBA.

00:54:56

It's too many. The Cavs were playing on Sunday, and they were wearing blue We've talked about it before in the show, but it's like when you turn on a game and you can't tell what the teams are unless you look at the scorebook, that's a problem.

00:55:06

It was when the Heat were wearing a yellow jersey and looked like the Pacers that I was like, This is too much. I think the Blazers and Nuggets were playing, and the Nuggets were wearing the Blazers colors. Either way, we're running a contest, so we release our pics. We told you last week, we release our pics on socials every single Tuesday for our NBA Cup pics. So far, we have The first day, so this isn't counting what's playing right now. I'm three and 0. Pft is two and one. Hank's two and one. Max, you're one and two. So you're at the bottom of both.

00:55:40

Yeah, and we're recording this late right now. I just got absolutely fucked in my pick for tonight.

00:55:48

Okay. But the NBA Cup, you can bet on it in DraftKings, and you can follow our picks, and we're running a competition. So we'll have the updated leaderboard. I think I went two and one.

00:55:57

I'm going to be three and three. I went one and I'm still waiting on the Spurs' Thunder.

00:56:03

I like the NBA Cup, though. It does feel different. November, NBA is tough to get into, and then you turn on the TV and it's a different court. You're like, Oh, okay.

00:56:13

They're trying a little harder. I want to win it. No team has ever won the NBA Cup in the finals.

00:56:18

So you have to win the finals after or are you counting it retro?

00:56:20

No, we have to win the finals after.

00:56:22

Yeah, same year.

00:56:24

Chris Paul has five assists. I need two more. It's halftime. I'm just going to count that as a win. So I'm two and oh.

00:56:29

Congrats. From one-on-one right now, I need AD tonight.

00:56:34

You need them over. Wait, say that again.

00:56:35

Oh, no.

00:56:39

Yeah, I need AD. You need AD.

00:56:41

Do you need AD?

00:56:42

I need AD.

00:56:43

You need a D bad.

00:56:43

I need a D Bad.

00:56:45

In a big way.

00:56:47

Bad. He's been craving a D.

00:56:49

I need AD to be huge.

00:56:54

00:58:00

My hot seat is John Stamos.

00:58:02

I had that as well.

00:58:03

What's going on with Stamos?

00:58:05

I'm going to botch the pronunciation, but his friend and co-star, Dave Couillier.

00:58:10

Yeah, you could just say Uncle Danny, right? Dave Caillou.

00:58:14

Kulier. Yeah.

00:58:14

Uncle Jesse, Uncle Danny. Fun fact, Danny wasn't actually an uncle. Or no.

00:58:21

Yeah, I mean that's- Joey was an uncle.

00:58:23

Stamos wasn't an uncle.

00:58:24

No, Joey- It's not uncle.

00:58:26

Jesse was an uncle.

00:58:27

Jesse was an uncle.

00:58:28

I said it wrong. Danny was the dad. Uncle Joey.

00:58:32

Joey was the comedian that just lived.

00:58:34

Cut it out.

00:58:36

He just lived in the house.

00:58:37

Very sad, but he revealed that he had a cancer diagnosis. John Stamos, then, to show support of him, did a Photoshop of him wearing a bald cap and posted that. Yes. That was his way to show it.

00:58:51

Crazy, crazy, crazy move.

00:58:53

Wait, it was a photo? He did a Photoshop of him wearing a bald cap?

00:58:56

He put on a bald cap. I'll send you the picture. Then he also photoshopped it to make him look even extra bald.

00:59:03

Extra bald, more bald.

00:59:04

I think he photoshopped where the lines on the bald cap are. Yeah.

00:59:08

Sounds like- Face-tuned, yeah.

00:59:10

Insane move.

00:59:11

Maybe his heart was in the right place.

00:59:13

I don't think so.

00:59:14

I I don't know.

00:59:15

Couldn't cut his hair off for his friend?

00:59:17

Well, I'll say this. I'll say this. There's one very lucky woman that made the right decision not having to hang around that guy, Stamos, anymore. That would be Rebecca Romaine. Yeah. Talk about an upgrade moving on to JLC.

00:59:29

I had as my cool thrown for JLC. Cool thrown, JLC. Jlc is a stand-up guy.

00:59:35

Jlc would never do that.

00:59:36

Jlc is the- JLC would just shave his head. Yeah, 100%.

00:59:39

Or just make a joke about how he's not going to shave his head. Right.

00:59:42

And it make him very funny. He would probably JLC making you laugh would cure cancer. Yeah. That's how funny he is.

00:59:50

Bing bong, Jessie.

00:59:51

Yeah. I like it. You blew it, Jessie. He would look at me like, Bing bong, cancer, you're out.

00:59:56

Bing bong. This is Rebecca. You know Rebecca, Johnny?

00:59:59

This was crazy, though. The fact that he did this, I guess the only little small part is that he admitted to it. It would have been worse if he had just pretended that he shaved his head. But still, an insane, insane move. How big of a narcissist do you have to be?

01:00:18

Extremely. That's really what it is. It's like, how do I make this about me?

01:00:21

Right. Don't even- Or just shave your head. Or just don't shave your head, which you didn't do, and just don't wear a bald cap and be like, I'm here visiting my friend. I hope he gets better.

01:00:31

Crazy. Also, some guys- His culture is not your culture.

01:00:34

Right. Yeah.

01:00:35

Some guys look better with a shaved head. Hank, one of them. Thank you. Facts. He looks like just an evil, like an alien billionaire.

01:00:44

He's a penis head. What a dick.

01:00:46

Jlc made me chuckle pretty hard Monday night. He just tweeted, like, Need 44 for mixing tonight. He almost got it. Yeah, but that's a very fantasy Monday night. I got one guy left It's just need of 44. We win this week.

01:01:03

We're going to have JLC on, I think, next week for an update on the fantasy.

01:01:09

I miss JLC.

01:01:09

Yeah, we're going to have them because I know people are asking.

01:01:12

My cool thrown is Paul Skeen's.

01:01:14

Yeah, he stole all my shit.

01:01:17

Was he in the hot seat, though?

01:01:18

He was on the cool throne. So you had two cool thrones. I had two cool thrones. I thought I was going to be okay, and it turns out I'm not.

01:01:26

Paul Skeen's great speech last night.

01:01:28

Can we play it?

01:01:30

He was- Yeah, I don't want to… Is it going to take too long?

01:01:32

It probably will. Max is really bad at this.

01:01:35

No, just the speech goes on for a while.

01:01:37

Oh, I thought you meant Max pulling it up.

01:01:39

No, it's really bad at that. I don't know if we have a memory on the SD card.

01:01:43

But yeah, really hard for us to- We don't have sound again.

01:01:45

Wait, hit the sound thing. Yeah, there you go, producer.

01:01:47

I was waiting for a good time for you to start playing it, guy.

01:01:51

Okay, play it, guy.

01:01:52

Come on, guy.

01:01:55

From all of us, what does this honor mean to you right now.

01:02:01

This is cool.

01:02:05

That's it. He crushed it.

01:02:07

So good.

01:02:08

This is cool. What more do you need to say?

01:02:11

You know what?

01:02:11

That was cool. It was cool. And what more do you need to say? This is cool.

01:02:15

We don't need victory speeches where guys get up there and they misuse the word humble a million times. Every single award show, it's literally them sucking your dick. And God's dick. And giving you an award for being great and being better than everybody else. Then you get behind the microphone, you're like, Yeah, now that you guys have all told me how great I am, the first word that comes to mind is humble. Yeah.

01:02:36

The meme of Paul Skine's winning the Rookey of the Year and Paul Skine sitting in a fire truck. He was so much happier to be in a fire truck. But that's what fire trucks do to people. Fire trucks are fucking cool.

01:02:48

So did you catch Scoobel? Was that not what was the award?

01:02:51

They draw the whole thing out. If you're listening to this, tonight, Tarek Scooble will win The AL Cyung. What is it?

01:03:01

Like the 12 Days of Christmas?

01:03:02

It's crazy. I've been waiting for this forever. Shout out the AWL. I got to track him down. Who handed me an envelope when we were in Detroit for the draft, and I opened He handed it to me, walked away, opened it, and said, take Tarek Scouble plus 400 to win the Cy Young.

01:03:21

It's fucking great. Why doesn't Major League Base do this in the middle of the playoff? I know. Or before the playoff start.

01:03:27

Or just do- Or do all in one night. It's majorly baseball in California.

01:03:33

It's the same thing that they have going on. They're counting all the baseball writer's signatures and matching them up to make sure the mail-in pallets are legit.

01:03:39

I want to say there was some type of event going on in Vegas with all the baseball players. Why didn't they just do all the announcements then? It makes no sense. It makes no sense. Yeah, shout out that AWL. I got to find it. I got to find the original tweet. Just been sitting there for six months, but he nailed it. Imagine if he doesn't win.

01:04:03

I mean, you've jinksed this as much as any human being could possibly jinks it.

01:04:06

He was minus 2,000 the last time you could bet on it.

01:04:09

He has to win it.

01:04:10

Yeah, that would be insane if he didn't win it. I would be like, Voter This is unjinksable. Yeah. What are the result? I mean, this is- You're Gucci. Oh, shut up. I hate that you just did that. Yeah, his last odds were minus 5,802. Is that right?

01:04:27

Is that possible? Would they take bets on I mean, if he loses, there's someone in MLB out to get me.

01:04:33

You know what?

01:04:33

I might fucking load up and see if I can just make some quick money on minus 5,000.

01:04:38

Yeah, let's go.

01:04:40

We're giving that out. I'm giving that out as an official pick. That's my young pick. An official pick. How much money can I deposit responsibly?

01:04:48

I don't think it's actually-I don't think it's up anymore.

01:04:50

I'm just going to see. Hank, can you try to pull those odds up? Yes, it's not up. Okay. But let the record show I would have endorsed that pick. Yes. My hot seat is the Utah Hockey Club. You piece of shit. You don't even have a fucking name. What professional sports organization goes entire season just naming themselves after the sport? Alexander Vechkin was taken out by a dirty knee-to-nee hit last night after scoring two goals, getting within 27 goals of tying Wayne Gretzky's all-time record. Excuse me, 26 of tying the record, 27 of passing the all-time goals record. He was on the best streak of his life, the way that Ovie started the season out. 39 years old, top goal scorer in the NHL. The caps are on fire right now, and Ovie is just insane.

01:05:44

How many? So is he hurt?

01:05:47

Yeah, they said week to week, lower leg injury. I looked at every single online Twitter doctor out there, and they came to the conclusion, probably a torn MCL or a sprained MCL, which is the same thing depending on what grade the sprain is. He's week to week now, which probably means he'll be out for, I don't know, three weeks. But Ovi's different. Russian machine never break. That was his famous quote when they asked him how he's been able to stay healthy throughout his career. I'm just going to hope and pray that whatever Putin's got left in the vault, he can send over, just inject it directly into Ovi's knee.

01:06:25

That's the worst, too, because you can never figure out what a hockey injury is. No. They will give no details, nothing. You can't even see. When a guy gets hit, he's got so many pads on that you can't... Where we zoom in on a football player or a basketball player, like, Oh, that's exactly what it was. You just have no idea.

01:06:43

Yeah. Then I was watching right afterwards. He goes back on the ice to try to skate on it, see if he can do it. Hockey tough. You're Hockey tough. It looks like he's skating around, but in reality, he's just barely touching one leg down. I'm like, Oh, he can skate? No, you forget that they're wearing ice skates, and so they can just glide on the other leg. Shit. Yeah, it's not good. Bad for hockey, I would say. Yeah, I'd agree. I had done the math on this last night when he was on his tear. On this pace, when he would have broken Wayne Gretsky's record-When? It would have been at Edmonton. Felt like that was set up.

01:07:19

And he was going to break it in. Are you talking about this two goals a game pace that he's been on?

01:07:22

No, I did my own- Here comes Hater Hank.

01:07:24

Well, no.

01:07:25

I did my own pace.

01:07:26

I saw your tweet, and I was like, That is so impossible.

01:07:30

Did you start at Edminton and work your way back?

01:07:33

No, I did that my second time to see if I could increase the pace or decrease the pace.

01:07:39

It was like, Will Ovi break the record this year? That'd be crazy. And PFT was like, January 21st.

01:07:43

My pace that I had him on, had him scoring, I think it was 0.75 goals per game, which is taken... It's not as good of a pace as he's been on. So at that pace, he would have broken it at Edminton. Right now, I don't I don't know if he's going to break it this season, which it stinks to maybe have to wait another year for this. People forget, Ovi lost a full year to the first lockout, and then I think he lost 50 games to the second lockout, plus COVID. Lost games to that, too. He's on pace right now to break Gretsky's record in fewer games than Gretsky played in, which is crazy. That is crazy. Ovi has been so much fun to watch his entire career. He was the one bright light that DC sports had for a very long time. I've been counting down to this for the last seven years once it was theoretically possible. It stinks that those baskets in Utah sent a hit out. Gretsky's got shooters. I wouldn't be surprised if Gretsky told Biz, Hey, can you get on the horn with some of the guys that are up in Utah?

01:08:51

You know a lot of them from your time in Arizona. Could you have... I blame Biz.

01:08:56

This is on Biz. That's fair.

01:08:58

Dirty guy. Fuck you, Biz. Another hot seat is Netflix because they're under a lot of pressure right now from the NFL to make sure that they don't fuck up the Christmas Day stream like they did the Jake Paul, Mike Tyson fight.

01:09:11

Antonio O'Brien could save their ass. How? He live streamed from his phone the Jake Paul, Mike Tyson fight, and he had seven million people watching.

01:09:20

It's pretty good.

01:09:21

He's taking a little pressure off him.

01:09:23

So he was live streaming from his Netflix?

01:09:25

No, I think he was in the arena. He was just doing the video I love that. Seven million people were watching.

01:09:32

I love that. Did Antonio Brown have something to do with the roof panels falling off?

01:09:36

I don't know.

01:09:37

Wouldn't surprise me. No. Yeah, so Netflix is in trouble because Christmas Day with the Beyoncé concert at halftime, probably going to have more viewers, I think, than the Jake Paul. It's going to be close because that fight did numbers.

01:09:50

Yeah, it's going to be close. I don't know. What was it? 60 million was the total they were watching. So it might not be. Average NFL game is what? 20 million?

01:10:03

I feel like this fight was 34, 36 million.

01:10:07

But I don't know what the total was. I think it was more than that.I think it was...I saw 60. I saw 60 as well. Either way, Netflix got to figure it out.

01:10:14

They can just make numbers up.

01:10:14

Yeah, they absolutely can. I guess that would be cool to throw an NBA for Christmas Day. Might be getting more ratings.

01:10:20

No, they got cocked. No, people would rather watch the wheel spin.

01:10:24

The wheel spinning? Yeah.

01:10:26

I mean, how are you going to compete with Beyoncé? Although the... Oh, no, that's Thanksgiving. No, it's Stealers Chiefs. The Thanksgiving games suck.

01:10:33

Whoa. One of them is good.

01:10:37

Which one is that, man? The Packers Dolphins.

01:10:38

Packers Dolphins. It's pretty good.

01:10:40

I guess.

01:10:40

Yeah. But the other one sucks.

01:10:43

Hypothetically- bears lions.

01:10:45

It sucks. Hypothetically, if the stream was not working on Netflix on Christmas Day, let's say 12:00 Central Time, that's when you're supposed to start. We tune in, we start to watch. It doesn't work for anybody. Does the NFL just delay the game until it can get broadcast or do they play it?

01:11:04

No, but in those situations, the tech guys are like, It's fine. It's fine. It's fine.

01:11:09

Yeah, all business speed is sitting there being like, It's fine. I don't see any issues. People are saying that it's fine.

01:11:15

I can get on my phone right here in the stadium. Seriously, that would be an interesting problem for the NFL to have. I think that they would delay the game. I think they would delay it as long as it took to get it broadcast, right? Yeah. Because you can't play a football game and not have it be on TV.

01:11:31

I'd agree.

01:11:31

I have a question. Why can't they just get the Amazon guys and just be like, Hey-help us? Yeah, just do this. We'll pay you to do this.

01:11:42

Bezos ain't like that.

01:11:43

Why would Peacock or-Why would Bezos help Netflix?

01:11:48

Bezos ain't like that. You just pay them.

01:11:49

They're all different production teams, right?

01:11:52

That's true. Just get a bigger router.

01:11:55

Why no?

01:11:56

Because Bezos wanted this game. It's like they competed. Netflix won the rights to Christmas. Hey, we cucked you've got these rights, but now actually we need your help. They're going to be like, Sure.

01:12:07

They're going to be a suck my dick.

01:12:08

I feel like there's got to be a different production team that can put this.

01:12:12

I don't know that it's the production team. I think it's the Netflix infrastructure. They need a bigger router.

01:12:18

Yeah.

01:12:20

Right.

01:12:21

They need a bigger router.

01:12:23

Yeah. I think Amazon would be like, No. Amazon has the servers. Fuck you for even asking us that question.

01:12:27

Amazon has all the servers.

01:12:29

Do you think Pete could do it?

01:12:31

No, absolutely not.

01:12:33

If he had the servers.

01:12:34

Yeah, I guess if he had the servers.

01:12:35

I feel like Pete could do it.

01:12:37

No.

01:12:38

No. It's servers. It's servers.

01:12:41

Pete, I want you to know that I think that you could do it.

01:12:43

I think Pete-With no issues?

01:12:45

No issues. Also, can we get Pug and Shane some computers?

01:12:52

So Pete could definitely do it.

01:12:53

Everyone tweet, All business, Pete, when you're listening to this and say Pug and Shane need new computers.

01:12:59

They have. Tweet them. No, they don't have the desktops, though. They keep yelling at me to get the desktops. I know.

01:13:03

I know.

01:13:05

Also, I think Pete has some free month trials for Netflix. So if anyone wants it for the game, tweet him and ask for a code.

01:13:15

Yeah, Netflix Codes. I like how Hank said that Netflix bought the rights to Christmas. They did. Christmas is owned by Netflix. They did.

01:13:22

The handle is at allbusinesspet.

01:13:24

At allbusinesspet. Tweet him.

01:13:27

Do you think... I mean, the The craziest part about what Netflix did to Christmas and the NBA is that they put it on their own app where you can't even flip back and forth to the NBA games. It takes you 30 seconds.

01:13:39

When the people with multiple TVs get a nice win. Yeah. Get a nice win. Okay, your cool throne?

01:13:45

My cool throne is the US men's national team and their new coach, Pochetino, because he beat Jamaica 4-2 in some tournament that I always forget the name of involving the words Nations League, Gankacab Champions Tournament. They went 4-2 with Berhalter in the stands. They made Berhalter go out and watch the game. Cucked him. He sat in a little cucked chair in the corner and watched Peppy and Pucilich dominate, just crushed Jamaica.

01:14:16

Not to get political, but the Trump celebration is pretty fun, how the guy everyone's doing it. Is Pulisic getting under fire? He did it.

01:14:25

I don't know if he's getting under fire. I've seen more people saying, What It's going to be fun to watch Libs freak out about.

01:14:33

Yeah, I feel like it's just a fun celebration.

01:14:35

I think it's just a fun dance to do. He's just doing this. Yeah, he just do this. He just moved around. And then do the golf swing. Anyone can do it. Yeah. They went 42 against Jamaica, which leads us to a fun fact that now the USmen's National team, and in fact, Greg Berhalter himself, who was fired in July of this year, he's got more wins in AT&T Stadium this year than Mike McCarthy and the Dallas Cowboys did. Then the Cowboys. Wow.

01:14:58

Wait, who?

01:14:59

Who does? Greg Berhalter, the fired coach, has more wins.

01:15:03

But that wasn't the game, obviously, last night because they were playing football.

01:15:06

They were playing football last night.

01:15:07

So he had already had that.

01:15:08

He already has those wins. Even though he got fired in July. Got it. Mike McCarthy will be fired. He doesn't have as many wins, even though he plays many more games. That is a fun fact. I thought that was a fun fact.

01:15:19

Very fun fact. All right, my hot seat is, well, we're going to talk about it with Pat Biv, but I feel like we glossed over it. This Tyrese Maxi, Joel Embiid thing is It feels for real.

01:15:30

What happened?

01:15:31

So Tyrese Maxi called out Joel Embiid in a meeting and said that he's late and disrespectful to everyone. I didn't realize that this is just a well-known fact that he's always done this. There was a book written, what, in 2015, where everyone was like, Joel and Beat is just a terror to work with. It feels like things are bad right now.

01:15:55

Maxi and Embiid are friends. They challenge each other often. What does that mean?

01:15:59

Apparently, it was- This is a It was a constructive meeting.

01:16:01

What does that mean that they challenge each other?

01:16:03

What about the 2017 comments?

01:16:05

How many times did you practice this speech in the mirror before you sat down? Zero times. That's a...

01:16:11

That's fake.

01:16:12

Maxine and Beat are friends. They challenge each other. You had You're not ready to go.

01:16:16

No, I mean, that's just a fact.

01:16:18

What about the allegations from the past?

01:16:19

What were the allegations from the past, Hank?

01:16:22

That he showed up late and then he was a terror to the whole staff. Oh, yeah. What about those?

01:16:26

Did you say 2017?

01:16:27

Or whatever that book was.

01:16:28

The book. Who gives up?

01:16:29

Whatever the book I think that was maybe his rookie year.

01:16:32

It was when Brown was the coach and he was mad because all of his assistants came up to him and they were like, Hey, we have to have an intervention with you because Joel is such a huge asshole to everyone that we needed to escalate this to the head coach.

01:16:46

Wait, what's the date? We're worried about something 10 years ago?

01:16:52

Nearly every member of the Sixer staff basketball was awaiting him. Why are we here? Brown asked. He knew the meeting was about Embiid but didn't understand. One of the assistant coaches stood up and said, Coach, we're here because there's a problem with Joel. He's disrespected just about everyone in this room and has become a major distraction.

01:17:09

You want to say something about when you were 18, Frani lied in?

01:17:12

No, I'm just saying.

01:17:13

If it was still a problem 10 years later, then yeah, it's probably a bad sign. Yeah, if Hank was still on message boards.

01:17:21

That's not a problem. Him showing up late, that's different.

01:17:24

You think that's not a problem?

01:17:26

No.

01:17:27

What about the people-FM said it wasn't a problem. But what about the people saying that this is maybe the first time Embiid's ever been challenged?

01:17:34

It said in the thing that Maxi and Embiid go back and forth at each other because there's a mutual respect and friendship.

01:17:43

Sounds like there's not a lot of respect for a beat.

01:17:46

You know what, you guys, this is where the national podcast thing turns disgusting.

01:17:51

Why? Because you just turned into the national media. Okay, all right, fine. New segment alert, Hank. The national podcast thing turns disgusting. Okay, new segment Regional podcast.

01:18:01

Philly. Philly.

01:18:02

All right, Philly.

01:18:03

Hey, welcome back to Locked On Sixers.

01:18:06

Listen, yeah, we've won two games. We're about to be losing the Wizards in the standings, but Joe's done so much for our cities. We got to give him some respect.

01:18:14

I think it's disgusting what some of the reporters in the locker room are trying to do to divide us. We need to be unified, and we're a great team. I don't think that we change anything. We don't change anything, except maybe we keep the fucking reporters out of the locker.

01:18:26

Well, respectfully, Anthony and Gino, I disagree. Joel Bede's a bum. He's a bum. He doesn't respect the hardworking people of Philadelphia. You want a gold medal? I get up every morning, five o'clock, think about the construction workers and the trash workers, and Joel Bede can't be there at 10:00 AM. I go, Is that a shoot-around?

01:18:44

The problems with Joel started to get much more clear when nick fucking Siriani walked through this door, and he took his paws and put him all over a city and fucked it all up.

01:18:55

He can't win a second round matchup, but he can give us an MVP, so You got to think about what he's given to us.

01:19:01

No, that's loser talk, Anthony. All right, how did we do?

01:19:06

Great. Really good.

01:19:07

That was a region resource podcast.

01:19:13

I love the Fluffle Oogles.

01:19:14

It feels like a problem. Two and eleven in this feels like a problem.

01:19:19

Yeah, it's November 19th.

01:19:22

Okay, so here's, Max. Here's where I think the real problem is. I'm sure that conversations like this happen a lot in NBA locker rooms, and we never hear about them. I'm sure they're common place.

01:19:35

This I agree with.

01:19:36

But the fact that it got out, that tells me that there's something there.

01:19:41

Tells me that people are sick of his shit because usually it wouldn't get out if Joe Embiid has maybe not been the best teammate, shows up late, whatever the story is. But if he's playing well and the team's doing well, that stuff never gets out. He's playing poorly, the team's playing poorly. Now the cracks start happening.

01:20:00

He started playing.

01:20:01

There's a mole. There's a mole in the organization, which we got to sniff out because that should never have gotten out. That's correct. But what if this is the turning point of the whole season?

01:20:11

And then we look back to this moment.

01:20:13

This is a strange turning point.

01:20:15

Yeah. Or tank Cooper Flag.

01:20:19

Oh.

01:20:20

No, no. Max, you don't get to say that. You don't get to say that because when I said that I want Cooper Flag and I'm projecting Cooper Flag, you said, We are You said the Sixers are out. That's true.

01:20:31

I'm still in.

01:20:32

You're out. Big Cat could get them. You said yourself.

01:20:36

I said I was out.

01:20:36

Yeah, but I say now I'm back in.

01:20:38

No, you can't do that.

01:20:39

You're out.

01:20:40

You're out.

01:20:40

You're back in.

01:20:41

That's illegal.

01:20:42

I didn't realize I did that.

01:20:45

Yeah, you did. I said I was out, too. I'm a man of my word. I will remain out.

01:20:49

Thank you, Hank. I'm a man of honor.

01:20:50

What's crazy is that you're tied with the Wizards right now.

01:20:54

It's nuts. I mean, it all doesn't fucking matter.

01:20:57

What point will it matter?

01:20:59

Christmas.

01:21:00

How many wins you have to have by Christmas?

01:21:02

How many times have we said on this show that they would be in the start till Christmas?

01:21:05

I understand, but I want to hold you to this.

01:21:07

If this wasn't the Sixers, no one would care.

01:21:09

Okay, I agreed.

01:21:10

We would not be talking about this.

01:21:11

Okay. If it was the Celtics, no. If it was the Celtics, we would absolutely be talking about it. So lie.

01:21:15

Yeah, but Sixers, Celtics, that's it.

01:21:17

Why?

01:21:18

But, Max, that's because you have these players in the narrative that's been around them.

01:21:22

The Bucks fucking suck. We don't talk about that at all.

01:21:25

I have. I've brought it up multiple times.

01:21:26

What are we going to say? There's a mole in the the Bulls or the Wizard. We suck.

01:21:31

Nobody would care about that. Yeah.

01:21:32

All right. So you have 13 games. Christmas is your 13th game. How many wins do you have to have to be like, This is a problem?

01:21:41

There's 13 games until Christmas.

01:21:45

I think you got to get to 10 wins.

01:21:46

I know. Ten sounds way too many. Let me see the schedule.

01:21:50

You got to go 10 wins, and you got to go 8 and 5. That's not that hard.

01:21:57

8 and 5 is not that hard. 8 and 5?

01:21:58

Yeah. Finally, 8 Ten Wins.

01:22:01

I can find you some. Orlando, twice without Palo. Detroit, there you go. Chicago, Charlotte, twice.

01:22:07

Detroit. Yeah, there's eight. Yes, 10 wins. Ten Wins. Ten Wins. Ten Wins by Christmas. Let's go.

01:22:12

Ten Wins by Christmas.

01:22:14

We're not allowed to talk I got it. This until Christmas.

01:22:16

All right, but you have to get to 10 Wins.

01:22:17

What if Yaboo is the mole?

01:22:20

This never happened with B-Ball Paul.

01:22:24

All right, so, Max, there's been a new wrinkle. A wrinkle reveal. To the 76ers drama, to the saga. I want a saga.

01:22:31

What's the saga?

01:22:32

We're doing this later on at night, 9:37. Somebody thinks that they found a leak of who reported this or of who gave the scoop away. Okay. This is from Rapter moments. Wait, Max.

01:22:45

I feel like memes right now.

01:22:46

Let me finish. All right, this is from Rapter moments.

01:22:49

This is a stretch.

01:22:50

Rapter moments?

01:22:51

Yeah, Rapter moments online.

01:22:53

Rapter moments is this source?

01:22:55

Yeah, well, just hear me out here, okay?

01:22:57

Wait, this is What's the name of the Twitter?

01:23:01

This is a- RAPTOR moments. This is a burner.

01:23:04

What? Okay.

01:23:07

Okay. Well, just wait. Yeah, I'll hear it. Okay. I'll hear the wrinkle. All right. The quote from the article was, Tyrese loves the big fella, but this is the elephant in the room, a person involved in the meeting told ESPN. If you go back to the RAPTORs over the last couple of years, nick Ners is very fond of using the phrase elephant in the room. He's done it at least three times. A common phrase. A common phrase.

01:23:35

This is an insane addition.

01:23:38

This is like Tatum stealing people's quotes, and the quotes are like, Let's fucking go.

01:23:42

Be like, What's his theme?

01:23:44

For saying an elephant in the room?

01:23:46

Yeah, for saying an elephant in the room.

01:23:48

Everyone says an elephant in the room.

01:23:51

That's like every report ever.

01:23:52

This is Rapter Moments. I believe Rapter Moments.

01:23:56

This account has 2,000 followers.

01:23:56

Wait, Rapter Moments isn't actually reporting anything. They're literally just being like, Look, this phrase was used and this phrase was used.

01:24:05

Yeah, Rapter Moments is connecting the dots.

01:24:07

Right, but you can't believe Rapter Moments because Rapter Moments doesn't have any actual knowledge of this.

01:24:13

No actual knowledge whatsoever.

01:24:15

Yeah, he's just saying, Oh, nick Ners has said elephant in the room, and this person did? Mm-hmm.

01:24:22

So nick Ners is the- I like the thought.

01:24:26

I do like to believe that.

01:24:27

That nick Ners is the elephant in the room.

01:24:28

His coach is snitching on his players only meeting. That is a funny thought. Yeah. So I'm going to believe it.

01:24:33

It also wasn't a players only meeting.

01:24:36

Another fan pointed out that in a past BBC Sports Philadelphia story, it's explained that nick Ners said on Danny Green's podcast in 2018 that he had a mini elephant on his desk in Toronto, which metaphorically helped him prevent obvious concerns with the team from growing before being addressed. Nick Ners loves the phrase elephant in the room.

01:24:55

Everyone uses the phrase.

01:24:58

He had a fucking elephant on his desk.

01:24:59

When there was an elephant in the room, you use the phrase elephant in the room.

01:25:04

He's right about that.

01:25:05

Yeah, but if you walk in a nick Ners' office, there's always an elephant in the room.

01:25:08

He has an elephant on his desk to remind himself of Elephant in the Room.

01:25:12

Have you ever used the phrase elephant in the Room?

01:25:15

Not to a reporter.

01:25:17

Wait, what was the original quote?

01:25:20

The original quote- It was the most standard quote of all time. I'll read the quote. Thierrys loves the big fella, but this is the elephant in the room. He was talking Tyrese loves Joëlle.

01:25:31

Wait, but who wrote that?

01:25:32

That was in the ESPN report.

01:25:35

So that wasn't even a quote?

01:25:37

What? No, that is a quote. The direct quote is from an anonymous source.

01:25:40

The direct quote is, Tyrese loves the big fella.

01:25:44

But this is the elephant in the room. No, no, no, Max, you don't know how to read quotation marks. Tyrese is the big fella, but this is the elephant in the room is the quote.

01:25:52

From an anonymous source.

01:25:53

Anonymous source with the Sixers. Max, you're looking at an apostrophe. That's just the one mark. The quotation mark is two.

01:26:01

Who gives a fuck everybody says elephant in the room when there's an elephant in the room?

01:26:06

I mean, it seems like nick Ners is obsessed with elephants.

01:26:10

Who else would the source be then, Max? Because it seems like we got one good lead and nothing else.

01:26:14

Yeah, that's a great lead. Hey.

01:26:17

Okay, here's the only pushback I have. Wasn't part of the report that the Sixers players were like, Hey, nick Ners, you need to coach us harder? Why would nick Ners leak that his players are mad at him?

01:26:31

Because he also in the report, they said that in turn, the players have to pay more attention in detail.

01:26:37

Okay, so maybe it is nick Ners.

01:26:38

So maybe nick Ners in the meeting was like, That's fair criticism. I'm going to hear you. But can I ask you to also... You buy in as well, and we'll meet in the middle. Good coaching.

01:26:47

Okay, I'm on team... Yeah, it was nick Ners now.

01:26:50

This is a stupid fucking thing.

01:26:52

I mean, Max, I think everybody agrees. He swayed me. Could you imagine if memes got this news?

01:26:59

We should stop listening to reports.

01:27:00

We just went from the athletic to raptor's moment.

01:27:05

Raptor's moments with an S.

01:27:07

We should stop listening to reports. It's fucking us up. Okay, back to whatever we were talking about. Okay, my cool throne is Kentucky basketball because I don't know if you guys saw, but John Calpaperry is now begging fans to show up to basketball games in Arkansas. He was like, If you don't want to come to the game, give us the tickets back. We'll find someone who can come to the game. They have also not looked great in the start of their season. Then on the other side, Kentucky, there's a clip going around that's awesome. It's Mark Pope coaching in the huddle, essentially telling his players exactly what Cooper Flagg is going to do on that last possession against Duke and being like, This is how we're going to defend it. He's going to spin. We're going to send the extra man, two hands, take the ball away. Then it's like a cut up where he's saying it, and it happens exactly like that, something that Kentucky basketball is missing, that in-game coaching. Kentucky basketball, good for you guys.

01:28:12

Yeah, it's an awesome clip. It makes you think that Mark Pope is going to be a great coach. But we are very easily sold on clips like that.

01:28:19

But I also saw Cal in the Red looks weird, and then him being like, Please come to the games.

01:28:26

Yeah, not a great look. They are three and one. They lost to Baylor. Who's a pretty good team. But they also have...

01:28:31

They had a couple of games where they were struggling a little bit with lesser competition.

01:28:36

Yeah, it's not... I would say so far, Kentucky won this trade, for sure. Also, Kentucky... This also is probably because they were playing against Duke, but Kentucky seemed like a fun team, like an easy fun team to root for. I'm sure that once they start becoming more Kentucky, then they will be easier to hate. But going up against Duke and beating Duke in that way, it made me feel things for the University of Kentucky.

01:29:02

I got a little soft spot for Kentucky. I got no problem with Kentucky. It's probably because it's 2015. What? I guess you beat them. Yeah, right. They beat you. I know, but it's also like... I mean, they were undefeated that season. I love Matt Jones and those guys. Yeah, I want Kentucky basketball to be good. I might be an honorary member of Big Blue Nation. I don't know. Mark Pope. I mean, very loosely honorary, meaning I'd put a future on them and be like, Go Kentucky. Then when they lost, you'll be like, Oh, well, I lose it anyway.

01:29:32

I like Kentucky. You're right. The sport is better when Kentucky basketball is good. I will say and repeat whatever propaganda Kentucky fans want me to do if it means that I get one step closer to at one point becoming a colonel. Being a Kentucky colonel would be sick.

01:29:49

That would be sick. Okay, we have more basketball talk with our guy, Pat Bave. It is brought to you by our friends at Chevy. It is Pat Beth, Patrick Beverly. What's up, boys? Back from Israel for a short stint. I thought World War III had broken out when you walked into the gambling cave on Sunday unannounced. Okay. I was like, Why is Pat here? I thought he was in the middle of the season. So you have a break.

01:32:58

We have a break.

01:32:59

And you are how far into the season in Israel?

01:33:02

About two and a half months in.

01:33:05

And how's the team playing?

01:33:06

Phenomenal number one team in Israel right now. Number one team? Number one team, yeah.

01:33:09

How are you playing?

01:33:11

Phenomenal. I've been fucking hooping. Yeah, they're good fun.

01:33:14

How is the game different over? When you go over there, because you played obviously in different league around the world before, but you go over there, I don't want to say easier, but is it like- It's easier, but I get everyone's best shot. Yeah, because they're like, this is an NBA player.

01:33:35

Every American, every coach, every import, every import from another country, everywhere I go, they beat us. We beat an NBA team or NBA players. So I'm getting everyone's best shot. But that's what I asked for, so it was perfect.

01:33:53

How are the fans over there?

01:33:55

Phenomenal. I'm thinking 8,000 to 9,000 a game. It's a lot of smoke with Israel and other countries. So we can't go play in Turkey. We have to meet at a mutual site. So we'll meet in Serbia. Teams that it's smoke with, we always meet in a mutual site. All our Israeli games are played in Israel, of course, but our European League games, the games that it's a Greek team or a Turkish team or any team like that, or it's smoke, we always meet at a mutual site.

01:34:30

So what about the game? How does the game translate to the Israeli League?

01:34:33

So first, the minutes are short. We play 10 minutes a quarter. That's timing-wise. It's no defense of three seconds. So you can just stand in the pain all day. So it's really beat your man to activate the big guy to make the next play. So you don't see a ton of guys scoring, I don't know, 20s and 25 points a game over there.

01:35:00

So there's a guy just standing under the hoop, basically just swatting shots.

01:35:05

All day. That's crazy. Yeah. Literally living in the pain, crowded pain, making you make the right play consistently every single time.

01:35:13

You haven't gotten a tactical yet. Is that because of the language barrier? Because I'm sure you've said things that should get you a tactical. Yeah.

01:35:20

I don't know. It's wild. When I had a ball a lot, I'm so focused on the game and focused on, okay, trying to win the game, trying to do small things win a game that I'm not over dramatic or over, I wouldn't say emotional, but just in character. In the NBA, I can do that. I can get away with that a lot. And they're quicker to give me a tech also.

01:35:42

In the NBA, there's the Pat Bev role where you come in, you fuck shit up, you're a pest, you make things a problem for them, you get in their heads. And then I would imagine, maybe I'm wrong, but in your current setup, you get in the game because you were expected to be a leader. I don't know how ball dominant you are, but you're one of the best players.

01:36:04

You're a star. Over there, yeah. The superstar.

01:36:06

So you can't be getting text in that role.

01:36:07

Can't be getting text. Can't have that type of energy. For me, it's, okay, I'm seeing double teams every night. I'm seeing triple teams every night. I'm seeing the best defenders on me every night. I'm dribbling the ice, so I see guys running to me. Oh, I got to make extra play. So it's just a different roll on.

01:36:24

So the people that are saying, like Pat Bev got soft because he's not getting technical. What would you say to those people?

01:36:29

I mean, my The numbers are getting better offensively, so I guess it's working. More focused. Yeah, more locked in. And I can get away with it in the NBA because the refs, they know me. They know me. I'm an elbow, I'm a motherfucker. I'm going to say, Hey, he's a bum ass. He can't fucking shoot. Fuck you. I'm going to say that type of shit in the game, which is they'll give me a tag, but they're not going to really kick me out. You can work your way with the refs in the NBA. Yeah.

01:36:49

All right. So I got a tough question for you.

01:36:52

Two tough questions for me. Okay. Two.

01:36:53

First tough question is the way last year ended, not the best because obviously, you guys got bounced. You threw a pass to someone. That guy looked ready for a pass.

01:37:06

He was wearing a uniform. Yeah.

01:37:08

You were just trying to get some numbers up on the pod afterwards.

01:37:11

No.

01:37:12

You were just asking people to subscribe. No. Do you think any of that... How did it work in the offseason when you were trying to figure out where you're going to play? Was that part of it at all, or was it you wanted to go play in Israel?

01:37:24

I don't think it helped.

01:37:27

It didn't help.

01:37:27

I'm going to say that. I don't think it But we still had two, three offers for the minimum. So it wasn't like a blackballed situation? No, I don't think so. I had offers. See, I got offers now to come back. Are we looking at those offers? I am.

01:37:44

The goal, I would assume, is to eventually get back in the NBA, correct?

01:37:48

I mean, not back in the NBA. When you're out of it, and you see teams that you used to be on struggling a little bit.

01:37:59

All of your teams. Yeah.

01:38:00

And you see that you're set up, the stage that you're on in the big stage. Being away from it, there's no other fucking stage like that. No other stage. And I don't give a fuck. And I'm not even talking about a playoff game or a cup game or an Eastern Conference game or a Championship game. I'm absolutely talking about fucking games, 16 of the season. You're on the fucking biggest show in the world. There's no other place like that. So organically, as a kid, NBA dream, I feel the need of like, damn, I want that. I want to go back there.

01:38:32

The one thing I love about you is you have the utmost confidence at all times. That's why you've made it so far in the NBA. That's why you've played for so long. Was how last season ended, was it humbling at all where it's like, okay, Pat, just take a step back. Was there any of that?

01:38:52

No. Okay. In my mind, you got to think in my mind, I'm like, shit, I just literally want to play off game by myself. I'm not going to say by myself, but You got everyone injured on the box. Yeah. And then I had to step up, and then we win an elimination game that a lot of people count us out for. So in my mind, with the different games in Boston and the freedom I had with nick Nurse and the freedom I had with the Bucks. For me, that was probably one of my best NBA offensively years ever. So I took it as, Okay, cool. I still got a lot of juice in the tank. I take care of my body like a motherfucker. You know what I'm saying? I spend a ton on my body each year to be healthy and prepare for entire season. So to me, it's like, Okay, now I made a ton of money. I made almost $100 million in NBA. I get to go somewhere else where they're paying me more than a minimum, which no matter if I had a career year or not, if Russell Westbrook takes minimum, Cal Lari takes minimum, guess what?

01:39:48

Pat Bev, you get minimum. That's just how it is, regardless of my play or a ball getting thrown or whatever the situation be. I don't think that's fair. That was my issue. I worked my ass off. I had better years than all them motherfuckers. Why the fuck I'm getting a minimum? Just a podcaster to podcaster after the game when they ask you to elaborate on what happened.

01:40:09

Instead of just right away saying, subscribe to the Pat Bev pod. I know you're a great marketer, but instead of saying that right away, why don't you do a tease? You start answering the question, and you say, to hear my full thoughts, subscribe to the PatBev. Or you could do a podcast live in person to that reporter, answer the question, but in the middle your answer, throw in an ad read. So you start talking about what happened, and then you say, By the way, subscribe to betterhelp, betterhelp. Com.

01:40:37

But mine was... Originally, that was mine throughout since I've had the pod.

01:40:43

Yeah, you've been doing that. That wasn't just a one-off.

01:40:45

I agree with that.

01:40:47

Have you thought about maybe instead of saying, Are you subscribed to the Pat Bev pod? You can't ask me a question unless you subscribe to the Pat Bev pod. If you ask them, Are you subscribed to a part of my take? Because the answer would probably be yes, so then they can ask you the No, probably not, though.

01:41:01

It depends on who I'm talking to. That was an NBA crew. I mean, that was an ESPN crew I'm talking to.

01:41:06

They don't like us.

01:41:08

No, they're closet in France. They go home in shame.

01:41:11

They won't admit it. For sure. Obviously, I think You said it afterwards. You should have handled it better. But it did get spun out as, I can't believe he said this.

01:41:22

No, he's been saying it all year. It's like that because we're in media. Anything that is frowned upon, I don't know, something done, they go try to make the next thing seem like the worst thing. You all understand? I've never punched anyone. I never hit any of my teammates. I never said, Fuck you, coach, I'm walking out of practice. I've never got kicked out of practice ever since I've been in the NBA. You know what I'm saying? So my behavior is one thing, but it's a lot of shit that I haven't done also, which shows why I've been in the league so long also. Yeah, right.

01:41:54

No, there's a reason why you keep getting signed to teams in the NBA is because you're a valuable piece and a good teammate for the most part. But sometimes they get caught up in the theatrics. But we said at the time, we were like, Pat has been telling every report of this.

01:42:08

No, since I have the podcast.

01:42:09

Since you had the podcast, it's a standard answer for you. I've got an easy question for you. Talk to me. And we talked about it a little bit on Sunday when you came in. You're playing overseas in Israel. Solve the Middle East crisis.

01:42:22

Wow. Solve the Middle East crisis. Yeah. Just create peace in the Middle East. Yeah. For one, I don't think that I can solve it. Okay, good answer.

01:42:37

That's a really good answer. That's the right answer. That was a really good answer. How are you keeping up with the NBA while you're over there?

01:42:44

What's the time What's the difference?

01:42:45

Oh, shit. What? My 3:00 PM, it's 07:00 AM here. So the first game, 06:00 PM, is probably like one o'clock in the morning, my time. So not keeping it up with a ton, but a ton of highlights, but not at all with DraftKings. Shout out to DraftKings. It's exciting to be up a couple of hours now trying to see scores, trying to see who the fuck goes, score wasn't in the first quarter type shit. So, yeah, shout out DraftKings.

01:43:14

All right. So I got a question about this NBA, the Cavs. This is running on Wednesday, so they play the Celtics in a few hours, and they might lose that game, but they started undefeated. What is it about the Cavs? Kenny Atkinson is a really good coach. He was my coach in Clippers. Tell me about Kenny Atkinson. What does he do that makes it? Because it feels like the Cavs, last year, they were a good team, playoff team, but they're playing out of their mind right now.

01:43:41

When he had, first off, Kenny A is a player's coach. First off, when you speak about Kenny A, you got to understand this is a coach that crosses every T, dots every eye. When I was there, he wasn't the coach running to go work with Kawhi, Paul George. He was working with me, nick Batum and Zubac. So you can understand this collar of work dealing with the type of players he dealt with. And he was the head of the individual performance side. So when you see a coach like that, his His ability... I think he ran our offense. But the way he teach it, the way he taught it, the way he ran it. I don't think I've ever heard him say, I don't know, I probably heard him say some curse word, but never at someone. A Phenomenal guy. Phenomenal man. Phenomenal man. And I think if you have your... Coaching is all about your... It's never about X and O's. If somebody down there fucking coaches staff got X and O's, it's all about how hard can your players play for you.

01:44:44

He motivated Coaching, yeah.

01:44:45

So you can be a coach that has zero X and O's, but you have your team run through a motherfucking wall from you. That's half the battle right there. And that's all coaching is. That's all coaching is. And the moment, you take a player aside. In the moment, you do something that does not go... Because As a coach, you have to think. You're a coach, your father, figure also. That's literally where coaches start from. But the moment you cross that line because of money, the moment you cross that line because of relationships, start letting guys do what they want, that's when you become a bad coach and lose the shit. All the good coaches, they coach the same. Obviously, you have your star players, but we're going to coach you the fucking same. No, you can't be late or you can't be fucking late. That's how we're going to run things. So if you have more of those, I think the game will change with basketball and with coaching. And that's all you're saying right there.

01:45:26

How much of the Cav's success is because of the dancing frog?

01:45:31

Put me on. I'm not aware.

01:45:32

In Cleveland, there was a guy in a frog costume that he was dancing in the streets after the Cavs won a couple of games, and now they've invited him in, and he dances in the arena after they win. How important is that if you're a player? Because I feel like that's pretty damn important.

01:45:48

Okay. I mean, as a player, I probably wouldn't even know that. Okay. Yeah, I probably wouldn't even know that as a player. Good answer. From a fan's perspective, I would say Kenny Atkinson deserves, I don't know, 20% of the credit, the players, another 20, the dancing frog, 60%. Okay. From a fan, if you come there, dancing frog's not there, he's sick, you're like, Oh, okay.

01:46:13

Cancel the game. We're fine.

01:46:14

Take an injury That's a classic fan. I like that, though.

01:46:16

Give you a little management.

01:46:18

It's like a game within the game type of vibe.

01:46:21

Yeah. It's also one of those situations where every team that has that momentum and they're maybe on the cusp of special season, it always feels like there's some little funny story that they start rallying around, whether it's a slogan, a dancing frog. We've seen it a million times.

01:46:39

I would give 25% credit to George Nian. Yeah. Most wins in the NBA since 2020. Yeah.

01:46:43

He can hoop, though. Yeah, he can. Plays the right way. Yeah. Plays the right way all the time. Yeah, he can hoop, though. That's not a surprise.

01:46:50

I'm reading right now. Jared Allen said, I've been wanting to dance with that frog since I've seen him. Then Froggy the Frog finally showed up.

01:46:58

Wait, his name is Froggy the Frog?

01:46:59

Yeah, Froggy is here. That's it. Okay. Froggy is here. Oh, it's a she. I'm sorry.

01:47:03

Froggy is a she.

01:47:04

Froggy is here, and there are no plans for her to leave anytime soon.

01:47:07

Love that.

01:47:08

City has embraced a dancing frog after the cat wins. Is she Ms. Froggy? I need to understand. Yeah, this is Ms. Froggy. Ms. Froggy. City. And the whole city is just embracing the frog.

01:47:17

Love that.

01:47:18

I think that's more important than people realize. It's a dancing frog.

01:47:24

Yeah. Do vibes have anything to do with a team's success? If a city is having fun?

01:47:29

Sometimes, yes, sometimes, though. You go a place like Miami. The vibe is always going to be fun, right? But you don't want it to be too funny. It drains you, right? I think some of our sick game days and sick... The night before the games is like Phoenix. Where you can have some fun, you can have a nice dinner, you can go out to a nice bar, but you're not going to be out to 4:00 in the morning, 5:00 in the morning. That's a 1:30 type of night. But with the same amount of fun, the same adrenaline pumping through your veins, the same vibes going through around. But it gets when you to a place like New York and it's a lot of distractions. An hour here, hour there. Next thing, it's time to go to sleep. When you're trying to battle with the time of getting rest and not doing things, but keeping routine, I think that's when it becomes a problem then.

01:48:22

I got a dumb question. How often, if you're a player, are you looking at the standings? Are you actually like, Okay, where are we the standings? Is it every day or is it just like we're playing? Every five games. Every five games you look at it?

01:48:34

Every five games, it tell you exactly where you're headed at.

01:48:38

If you're the Sixers right now and you look at the standings and you're 2-11.

01:48:42

Man, unbelievable.

01:48:43

2-11. Is that right, Max? Can we get a stat check on that?

01:48:46

I'll pull it up because I texted to the group last night just to make Max aware.

01:48:51

They're 12 games out of first place, and they've only played 13 games.

01:48:55

My question to you all, who do you think they need more? Was it-Papa.

01:48:58

Yeah, 2-11.

01:48:58

Mb, Paul, George, or Maxi? Maxi has been out.

01:49:02

All three of them, I think they need.

01:49:04

The game that they've won, Maxi's played.

01:49:08

Okay. Is the record correct, Max?

01:49:11

It's 2-11.

01:49:12

That would be 2-11, correct.

01:49:13

2-11. That's bad. Yeah. At what point in the season are you like... Because you've been on some teams that have not been great. Is there a moment in the season where you're like, All right, this is what we are?

01:49:25

No.

01:49:27

You keep fighting?

01:49:28

Yeah, you always keep fighting. I haven't been on a 2-11 team. I'm shit with the Lakers.

01:49:37

Oh, yeah. Yeah, that was bad.

01:49:40

That was brutal. Where'd you guys end up that year?

01:49:41

I don't know. I ended up with the Bullets that year. Yeah. Hell of a run we made, too.

01:49:45

Yes. We made a run all the way to losing the play-in game.

01:49:49

15-8 since I was there, or 15-9 since I was there.

01:49:52

Yeah. Do you think- Jerry Reindsorff Special, lose the play-in game.

01:49:55

Do you think the Sixers, they could use a guy like Patrick Beverly?

01:49:57

Any team, right? Any Any team. No, I'm not gasing myself, but my work has been shown in NBA, any team. Spark. Any team. When you get paid, you adapt my personality to the team more than anything. So the personality might be, I don't know, game, I don't know, 39, and you're playing in fucking Portland, and it's cold, and it's fucking gray outside. My competitive spirit go feel like Game 39, game game two, game three of the playoffs. I'm catching vibe, and it rubs off on you. My ability to be focused and shoot around and treat each game like a championship game, that shit rubs off on you. And next thing you know, yeah, you're playing 82 games, but you're treating the motherfuckers all like payoff games, too. So the energy is different. The competitive spirit is dare more when I'm on a team. Yeah.

01:50:55

And that's the spark because it's a long season, and you see that all the time. Where teams will just take off nights. They don't take off a night with Pap out on the team.

01:51:04

Yeah, I can't. And at the same time, I'm the player also that's still trying to prove myself. I'm like, Okay, fuck it. This guy's not playing. Okay, this is my time to come up and show every motherfucker. Yeah, I can score it. Oh, this guy's not playing. Okay, cool. Let me lock his ass up. So it's always an opportunity. For me, I always took it as an opportunity to showcase my talents also.

01:51:24

Is there one team that you watch not being in the NBA right now and you still feel like you root for them more? That was a special team, the Bucks? Yeah, man. I saw you told Giannis, make your free throws.

01:51:35

Yeah, that's my dog. Was there a short time? When you go to the playoffs with a team and you go through not only the playoffs, but ups and downs with a team. And then you go through the playoffs, you go through the ups and downs, then you go through injuries with a team. That's everything you can ask for in sports, all summed up in one. And to have a chance with that happened all from my time there until the playoffs, it made us, Okay, fucking no, Yannis. We got to get closer. We got to get better. I'll fuck it. No, Middleton. I'll fuck it. We got to get better. We got to get closer. Fuck it. No, Dame. I'll fuck it. We got to get better. We got to get closer. It just made you a tight net-ass family. And then you have those opportunities, the play-offs. The guy's not healthy. Everyone's rooting against you. You're on the road. It forces a bond that you don't get from a lot of teams.

01:52:29

If you're a Pat Bev and you're playing on a team with LeBron or Giannis, do you feel extra pressure being like, There's a standard that they're playing at that I have to reach?

01:52:39

Yeah. So it was one time I was with the Lakers, and we were playing in Boston, and I think I just got a tip dunk, or I think I just hit a big shot. I'm at the free throw line, I missed a free throw. And then, Bron gave me a look like, Come on, man, make your motherfucking free throws. And I'm like, Oh, shit. You're right. But now I take that. I think I've only missed three free throws this entire year. And I remember that. That was my motivation to, you know what? Make your motherfucking free throws.

01:53:11

That's the definition of greatness is a great player lifts everyone else's game.

01:53:17

So now that's me on my team. I don't give a fuck, man. I don't give a fuck how many free throws we miss one, two, three, fourth quarter. Make your fucking free throws.

01:53:24

And do you have that feeling, too? Say you're playing with Giannis, where it's not like Giannis has got us, but I would imagine players play with more confidence knowing Giannis is on your team and not their team.

01:53:36

Yeah. And then also on the other end, players play with less confidence when you know you got to go against Giannis. Yeah, right. And I can make more mistakes. Right. So my mistakes aren't magnified if Giannis is not out there versus when he is out there. So I can go for steal. I can take a bullshit-ass charge. That ref might call charge because of my name, not because of how my footing was. I might take fucked-up shot. I might go offensive rebound when I was supposed to... Giannis got us. Ron got us. But that comes with greatness also. I'm learning that on the end also now that I'm playing where I'm playing at. It's a lot of stuff that my teammates are allowed to do that I just can't do.

01:54:11

They're looking to you. Have you seen Cooper Flagg play basketball?

01:54:17

Football player.

01:54:19

Basketball.

01:54:20

Never played basketball. No, I haven't seen that. Handsome white guy.

01:54:23

White boys might be back. He might be the number one pick. American white boys might be back. A lot of change since you got into Israel.

01:54:30

He's so white. The dude's from Maine.

01:54:34

White boys might be back.

01:54:36

Cooper Flag. Cooper Flag, yeah. Just keep your eye on that guy. He can ball.

01:54:38

He can hoop. He might be the first white guy drafted number one overall. American white guy drafted number one overall since the '70s.

01:54:46

Yeah, but my thing about that, I like him. I like him at Duke. I like him.

01:54:51

You've never seen him play?

01:54:52

I've never seen him play up close in person, but I've seen highlights.

01:54:55

Okay.

01:54:56

He has size.

01:54:58

Yeah. Fact.

01:54:59

And It seems like he has some type of toughness.

01:55:02

He's got toughness?

01:55:03

I think regardless of what your skill is, if you have size and you have toughness, that's going to carry you.

01:55:09

He's so good. He's an elite white guy that plays at Duke that is not hateable. Yeah. It's a long season. Right now, he's an easy guy to root for because he's just so fucking good. 01:57:24

Who had the most toughness that you ever played with?

01:57:26

The most toughness.

01:57:28

Where you're like, damn, even... Because Because you're considered, obviously, a tough player. But you see you play with someone or play against someone, you're like, damn, even I feel come like a wimp compared to this person. Russ. Yeah?

01:57:42

That motherfucker tough. He don't die. He just keep coming at you. I don't give a fuck. Fuck are we down? We're up. I don't give a fuck what's going on. I'm just keep coming at you. Keep coming at you. Russ, easy. Yeah. Unbelievable toughness.

01:57:56

I see that.

01:57:57

Did you ever have a teammate that was that tough? That was respect you two, win at it, see who could be the toughest guy on your own team, who was going to be the tough guy?

01:58:07

No. Because it's always you? No, yeah. I get on the team with me and Bobby, but I'm older, so it's like, Bobby understands it. I went to I can sell before him. I'll pay the way before him. So it's always a respect thing. And I'm coming... You got to think, when I'm on the team, I'm not coming like, Hey, man, give me the motherfucking ball. I want to shoot. I'm not coming like that. I'm coming more like, Hey, if we swing around a couple more times, you get that same shot wide open type of shit. So it's just different.

01:58:36

You were talking about Yannis earlier. You do a pretty funny impression of Yannis, the first time that he told you, I want to play with you one day. Can you tell that story?

01:58:47

We're home, we're playing Milwaukee, and I'm with Minnesota. And how the Western Conference and the Eastern Conference work that you don't really get to see Eastern Conference home a lot. It's just one home, one away. So I think we've seen them in the first game of the season. And obviously, we've seen them in Milwaukee, so you want to plan while you're at home. You practice pregame thinking it's Giannis. You take your nap. Okay, cool. You're thinking it's Giannis. You get to the game, I don't see any Giannis. I'm fucking frustrated now. I'm actually angry I'm angry now. I think I got kicked out of that game. I think I've only played that game, that same game that we're talking about. I think I only played two minutes. I think I shoved the guy and it kicked me out, literally. So we're working out pregame. I don't know, I don't know, 70 on the clock before the game starts. And I see Yannis is a late scratch. I go, Man, what the fuck, man? I wanted to play him. I go out, I see Thanasas. Shout out to Thanasas, his older brother. And his older brother has always been a fan of me, obviously, because I played in Greek when they were around there at the same time.

02:00:08

So he's always been a fan of my upbringing and how I started from Greece. So I see him and I'm like, Yo, where the fuck your brother at? Why the fuck he ducking smoke? He laugh at me like, No, no, man. He in the back, he in the back. No, don't fuck that, man. Tell his ass to play. So I started my workout. I look up, I see Greek coming out the tunnel. Okay, for sure, he about to come over here. He go, Excuse me, guys. You got to understand, this is Greek freak. This isn't like, I don't know, Grayson Allen or somebody. This is Greek Freak walking through another professional's individual shooting time with other NBA coaches, stopping- Excuse me, guys. Stopping everything. Like, Pat, never duck smoke. I never duck smoke. Never, never, I duck smoke. You know what I'm saying? So, yeah, shout out to Greek, man. That was the first time I'm like, Oh, yeah, this motherfucker's a real deal. Yeah. Motherfucker, the real deal.

02:01:13

He also is like, I feel like because of the injuries and how everything's gone down the last couple of years, people have forgotten him, like how great he is.

02:01:22

Yeah, I don't think forgotten. I think that when you don't win it, you get hurt. You don't win it, I don't know. You win it. You win it while you're hurt. You fucked this shit up early. That play, I was coming back, give them a motherfucking 60. I think they're looking for that person all the time now since that happened. And I don't think that's fair to the player.

02:01:42

That was a legendary run he went on. That final is just absolutely dominant. And then afterwards, he goes to Chick-fil-A and orders 50 chicken nuggets.

02:01:47

Just a regular dude.

02:01:50

What was your favorite memory being teammates with Robin Lopez?

02:01:53

Robin Lopez. I wasn't teammates with Robin. Yeah, you were.

02:01:56

He tweeted last year, February eighth, 2024. This is when the trade deadline. I enjoyed being teammates with Patrick Beverly for all of an hour and a 45 minutes. I'll never forget those times.

02:02:07

He's great, too. Him and Brooklyn are great.

02:02:10

You were teammates for an hour and 45 minutes.

02:02:12

I don't think we even shook hands. There's no way.

02:02:14

You didn't show up.

02:02:16

No, no way. He's great, though. That family is great. That family is great, man. Mom is great.

02:02:22

That family is great. He went off the other night. What did he hit? He went five for five from three?

02:02:26

I think he had the Magic Johnson up and under layup, too. Yeah, they're still dominating.

02:02:32

Hey, I have a teammate question, though, for real. B-ball Paul. Paul Reid. Is he as cool as I've made it out in my head?

02:02:41

Okay. Will you say cool?

02:02:45

I mean, his nickname is B-Ball Paul.

02:02:47

All right. Okay. I got a question. When you look at a person like Paul Reid, what do you instantly see?

02:02:54

Well, it's not looking at him. It's the fact that he's B-Ball Paul, and they chant B-B-Ball Paul, and that's the funiest nickname possible.

02:03:01

Frank the Tank vibe.

02:03:02

Yeah, right. B-ball Paul. That's a funny... Like the frog in Cleveland. That's the fan experience. Max, B-Ball Paul. He hustles.

02:03:13

I love B-B-Ball Paul. He's not on the Sixers anymore, but he's a guy who came from the G League. Out the Mud. Out the Mud. The Out the Mud sweatshirts are funny and cool that he would make his own merch and sell it himself.

02:03:27

Yeah, that was the other thing. You'd have to just Venmo him. I Venmo him for a shirt. He didn't have a store. Yeah, he sent me Out the Mud.

02:03:35

Yeah, no, he's a good success story. He fought for what he got, and he was a good player.I hope he's doing well. He's a dog. Yeah.

02:03:44

It B-ball Paul.

02:03:45

You can't just throw a dog on everybody.

02:03:48

I think B-ball Paul is a dog.

02:03:50

A dog? Yeah. What kind? What's the difference? I have a Yorkie.

02:03:55

Yeah, I know. You have a little... You have almost a cat.

02:03:58

He might be a golden retriever. Yeah.

02:04:01

Just lovable? Yeah, right.

02:04:03

You like when he's around?

02:04:04

Love when he's around.

02:04:05

He's a golden retriever, and then also he's very lovable. Also, maybe has saved the kid out of a well or something.

02:04:12

Type shit. Yeah.

02:04:14

He's had one great moment where you're like, damn.

02:04:17

He had the dog that got the key to the city for having a great week.

02:04:19

Yeah, and then fell in the well. Had to get helped out. Yeah, right. We were on the same page.

02:04:24

You were talking about Maxie earlier. Hank just sent this over to us here. There's a report that The Sixers held a team meeting last night, and Tyrese Maxie called out Joel Embiid for being late, quote, to all team activities and everything. Everything? Everything. It's period? All team activities and everything. So that implies everything is even not team activities.

02:04:48

He's just late on everything.

02:04:50

He's just late to everything. Damn. And he cites how that impacts the locker room, other players and coaches. Does being late, does that make an on the general climate of an NBA team?

02:05:02

I think on any team. I think in any workspace also. I've always liked to be, I don't know, seven, eight minutes early before anything.

02:05:13

Well, let's be honest here.

02:05:16

We came, recorded at 11:00. What? No. Was it 10:30?

02:05:19

We said 10:30.

02:05:20

Well, we recorded at 11:00.

02:05:21

What time did you walk in?

02:05:23

Twelve minutes before we recorded.

02:05:24

You walked in at 10:41.

02:05:27

Nineteen minutes before we recorded. Okay, Okay. So I'm actually on time. But as far as basketball, though, I'm the guy that's like, I like to be on the bus first. I like to be in the wait room first. I like to be ready like that. You're not on time. It can rub off some people, but if you're not on time and you give them motherfucking 70, it's been times with Joe and be one on time to motherfucking to practice. Come on, Joe, man. What's up, G? Come on, man. Come on, Joe. Come on, Joe. Be better, Joe. Be great, Joe. Be great. And then his response to be like, What the fuck, man? You give me out of fucking bed. I'm fucking an hour and a half away. I had to get up two hours before it because everyone doesn't live at the same spot. You know what I'm saying? What would we go do? Give me a motherfucking ball. That same night, he had 50 and we won. I think we were 21 to 9 in the first 30 games, the best record since 2004, Allen Iverson when I was with Philly. So it's just surprising to see, especially because all the hard work nick Nerson, his coaches that I put in, it's just hard to see.

02:06:32

An hour and a half is a long way to have to travel. That's Brandon Walker does.

02:06:37

Before a nine o'clock film, which means you got to get up to seven. And I'm not saying that. Obviously, we have different jobs there. Every motherfuckers is getting up at 6:00 in the morning, so everyone's different. But if you were to start, I don't have a problem with it. I'm the road guy, and I'm the temperature of the locker room. You feel me? I know you're not doing it to be ultimately disrespectful, Well, I know you don't show up to games late. I know you don't show up to practices late. But if you got at nine o'clock in the morning to shoot around and you got to get up two hours before, I don't think that's fair also. So it's just different strokes, different folks.

02:07:14

But if that was B-Ball Paul, it wouldn't be...

02:07:17

No, that's not even a conversation.

02:07:18

That's not a conversation.

02:07:18

You can't even be fucking late. You can't be late. But it comes with the status also.

02:07:25

Is there such a thing as too many player-only meetings?

02:07:30

No, I think we need to have more, no.

02:07:32

This wasn't a player-only meeting.

02:07:34

Fact check.

02:07:35

Coaches were also involved in the meeting.

02:07:38

Oh, coaches were there. So he called him out in front of his coaches.

02:07:41

You were giving false information.

02:07:44

I wanted to make sure. I asked a question It's not players-only meetings. I actually wasn't giving- But it was in context. No, but I wasn't giving false information because I said, Is there such thing as too many players-only meetings? That's a fair question.

02:07:55

The players also asked the coaches to be coached harder.

02:07:57

Oh, okay. So it also says that he was to all team activities and everything, also implying that Joel Embiid was late to players-only meetings.

02:08:04

That's part of everything. Yeah, he would have been.

02:08:07

Yeah, but I don't think it was a players-only meeting that early before it end anyway.

02:08:11

What's the earliest players-only meeting that you had?

02:08:13

Sound like this one.

02:08:14

Yeah, but it wasn't. Max is saying it wasn't. When a player's only meeting, is there too many, though? Can you have too many? Because we see it every now and then where it's like they've had their third players only meeting in the last month. That feels like too many.

02:08:26

Yeah, but see, you got understand what goes on. A player only meeting is, motherfuck, get in there. Hey, so what the fuck going on? What we going to do?

02:08:37

It's not really formal. Did you kick out the coaches? Did you say coaches, get out of here?

02:08:40

Yes. I like that part. Yes, you all get the fuck out. Let's talk straight up. Or you bring a coach in who's the players' coach, who's cool, that can give you information of what the coaches' thought is, but also can take information like, This is the players' thoughts also. Playing in the middle, yeah. To mesh it together because you don't want to be in there having a meeting the whole time. You get out of the meeting, you're Oh, man. Coaches, they don't know a whole different page than we on. They're like, Okay, cool. Let's all get organized. We got a new player, they don't know it. We got this going on, man. You feel me? I'm shooting the ball a lot. I feel like I can get better shots. What can I do to make a team better? What can I do to help you? What can I do to help you? And then I go like, Okay, cool. Fuck all that. Let's just talk about roles. You tell me your role, I tell you my role, and we just go all the way down. And then you'll hear some people roles, and then you'll be like, Okay, you all agree with that?

02:09:33

And some guys will be like, No, I don't think that's your role. But that helps you, though. That helps you. Okay, cool. In my mind, I thought my role was screen, screen, screen, roll, roll, roll, roll, the whole time. This star player wants my role to pop and shoot all the time. I might have thought my role was to shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot. No, my role is not to shoot. My role is to often to rebound, block shots, and take charges. I might think my role is, Okay, cool. I'm the leader of this team. No, no, no, no, no. You You're the energy guy of this team. You're the guy to make sure we have energy. So getting roles with your players, with those guys first, it's like, Okay, cool. It gets you a different perspective. And I think that helps more than anything.

02:10:14

It gives you clarity, like what you actually should be doing to make the rest of the team better based on what they want from you.

02:10:19

And then you'll say shit like, Hey, bro, yeah. Okay, I feel that their role is to score, but you want to score that bitch like that, you got to show us you're a pro, too, bro. You got to be on time. Everybody got shit to do. I remember one time, I think why I walked in late. And there's very few times where Kawhi walked in late. But I think something happened. He walked in late, he was staying in San Diego. I don't know, helicopter was late type shit. I go So Kawhi, I know shit happened, but we all got shit to do. We all pros, we all millionaires. Most of us got kids. I understand. We sitting here waiting on you. That's not 30 minutes at the end of practice that I could be on my way home to my son or some shit. I ain't telling you what to do. Just respect the grind.

02:11:07

You tell them, that straight up.

02:11:10

My got to do what? Respect it. You know what? You're right, bro. I can be better. And then it helps you, too. Yeah, I I'm going to be fucking better. All right? I think any type of meeting, any type of discussion about, I don't know, getting better, I think that's always perfect medicine.

02:11:25

Who is the best player in the NBA right now? Jokuj. Yeah, that was the correct answer. All right, you still know Ball.

02:11:33

Good job. Yeah. He is.

02:11:36

It seems like he'd be fun to play with, too. Yeah.

02:11:38

He just spreads it everywhere, makes everyone better.

02:11:41

Plays the right way. Yeah.

02:11:43

Plays the right way. Every time he has the ball. It's like the gravity towards him just gets everyone open. It's nuts watching him play.

02:11:51

I don't know. I think this is the bubble. You're in 2020, we're about to play Denver, and I'm watching them work out. And it's one of the Denver coaches. I don't even know his fucking name, assistant guy. It's two things that make him great. I go to the coach, What do you think it is? And the options in my head was the His passing ability or his feel for the ball. Coach goes, a coach that's probably never played NBA basketball goes, Oh, the way he can pass it. Yeah, there's a lot of motherfuckers that can pass, though. I honestly think it's his feeling for the ball. I know a ton of motherfuckers that can pass, but a one-second pass is worse than a 0.3 pass. I get it literally in your hand, out your hand to the next guy. The defense can't even rotate. Then getting it same pass, but defense is contesting the shot. His feel for the game, his feel for the ball, I think is one of his best attributes.

02:12:54

It's like the difference in football of throwing someone open, where it's like you're throwing the ball before they're open-Type shit.and they to get open as the ball gets there. Right, that type of shit. Jokuj is doing that where he knows it, where every... It's almost like he's playing chess on the court where it's like, I know where this guy's about to cut to. The ball will be there.

02:13:10

Look here, pass here, look here, pass here. Because you can't defend against that. He can't. He's so tall and so a rather large man that it makes it very difficult.

02:13:18

I love it when he puts the ball above his head. It's like he's going towards the ball above his head, and then he just throws it backwards. But it's one of the fastest passes that you've ever seen. And it's He just whips it backwards.

02:13:30

It's where he shoots also. So you have to not only, what are you doing with the ball up there? He might shoot this motherfucker. So he gives you a triple threat of a... Usually, you're taught triple threat. You talk the ball down here, you high jab, high, high, high, triple threat. He's giving you triple threat here where he can pass and he can shoot. So it's even more deadly. And who do you know defends? What big man you know that can defend up here? Eyes up here, boom, one dribble, he's gone. That's impossible. Yeah, so he's really good.

02:13:59

You mentioned something earlier I wanted to talk about your pregame nap. Yeah. So it sounds like that's something you take seriously.

02:14:05

Very serious, yeah.

02:14:06

So what's your nap schedule before a game?

02:14:08

So everything is different for me. I don't talk a lot. I'm all about preserving energy. So I don't talk a lot. I don't really break a lot of huddles game day. I don't really speak a lot. I'm just preserving a lot of energy. So I wake up, I obviously shower. A little cold for her just to wake me up, go hot after that, go to shoot around. I want to sweat, but I don't want a droopy sweat. I want a nice lather.

02:14:35

Not a droopy sweat. I like that.

02:14:37

You feel me? I don't want a droopy sweat.

02:14:38

I know exactly.

02:14:39

I'm missed. Right. I want to just be able to rub and just be, Okay, cool. I don't want to rub and have to like, damn, this shit's getting in my eye. As soon as I get there, I'm cool. I'm 36, so I know my body. As soon as I get there, I'm cool. I don't eat breakfast. I only eat once a day. My meal that I eat every single day for, I don't know, the last nine years has been any type of mixed pasta, cream and tomato sauce with any type of protein. Chicken, fish, steak. I don't know. I feast, eat a big ass bowl of that shit. Whatever I'm watching on TV, now it's the Diplomats. Mix with a little Sopranos. I pick off while I left off. Not on the TV because I can't watch them on the TV. It has to be my phone because when I go to sleep, my phone goes to sleep. It turns off on its own. I don't have to hear the shit that might wake me up of gunshot or just watching the Soprano. So I can't watch it on TV. Only has to be my phone.

02:15:35

So okay, I'm cool. I'm watching it. Cool, cool. I go to sleep. I let my body do what it does. If it sleeps for three hours, sleep for three hours. If it's tossing a turn, tossing a turn. You don't set an alarm? No, my body does the same thing every time.

02:15:47

Okay, that's a good nap. Three hours is a... That's significant.

02:15:50

So I come home, I eat. When I'm eating, I'm taking my mind off basketball. So I'm playing, I don't know, Call of Duty. I'm in fucking war right now. I'm a soldier. Right. Pre-game, I'm a soldier. I don't know, 1:30 hit. I probably have to be at the gym at 5:30, 5:00. 1:30 hit, I'm making my way to my bed slowly. Okay, cool. I'm telling off the lights. I'm pissing to make sure I don't have to get up for anything. And after that, I just let my body do what it does. If it sleep for two hours, it sleep for two hours. If it's an hour here, 30 minutes here, 20 minutes here, I let it do its thing.

02:16:22

Have you ever overslept by accident?

02:16:23

No. Okay.

02:16:23

So the internal alarm clock wakes you up.

02:16:26

And I'm a big iron. I iron before every game. You iron? Myself. I love ironing. What do you iron? I found that out, I don't know, three years ago.

02:16:34

You just love ironing?

02:16:35

I was ironing this today.

02:16:37

It is actually a therapeutic thing when you get the whole ironing board out.

02:16:41

So I'm the whole ironing board. Every hotel, I have to have it. I didn't know I did it until three years, until someone on the phone was like, up there, you go iron again. I'm like, Iron again? What do you mean? I thought about like, damn, I am literally ironing every fucking day.

02:16:53

Do you iron shit that you're not going to wear that day? No. Just what you're going to wear on the walk into the You're in the gym? Yeah. That's awesome. Then you take your nap. You think a lot of players take naps?

02:17:03

A lot of people do. But then I heard the older that you get, guys start like talk wing and shit. So I think Steph Curry does golf before. Just to take his mind off. He got to think he go shoot some holes and go from there right to the gym type shit. Some guys have to have naps. They don't have naps. You don't play well. Some guys don't sleep.

02:17:24

You ever dream about the game?

02:17:28

Not game, but like, opponent. It'd be crazy. So you're doing film study? Yeah, but it won't even be like... It'll be like a guy like my fucking Shabbat's Napier or some shit. Raul Netto or some shit. Like, man, I can't let him get off. It ain't even about Russ Dame. It's always like, okay, fuck it, man. Payton Preacher, I can't let him get off type shit. You know what I'm saying? So that's how it is, if it is a dream.

02:17:59

I love They're going into the game and they have no idea that Pat Bev has been literally dreaming about shutting them down.

02:18:04

And it's literally the same way in Europe also. It's a guy that I'm like, Could you guys just give me numbers? Because I don't know names. You know what I'm saying? I know all NBA names. Just give me numbers. What does number What does number 6 do? What does number 95 do? What does number 54 do? And they have wild numbers. I don't know why they're number 77, shit like that. But it's like that overseas where it's just like, Okay, I just need to refer to people by numbers because I don't know names.

02:18:27

All right, Pat, I got one last question.

02:18:31

Rowback question. Are you guys coming to Tel Aviv?

02:18:33

Probably not. Rowback question.

02:18:36

Is that within five hours?

02:18:37

No, within, I don't know, five years.

02:18:41

No, but I mean, how long does it take to get there?

02:18:43

Tel Aviv? Yeah. From?

02:18:45

From Chicago.

02:18:45

So I got to go here in New York, which is two and a half. Two.

02:18:51

Four when you talk about getting to the airport.

02:18:53

Type shit, right. Then I go 12 hours straight flight.

02:18:56

Probably not. Nope.

02:18:58

Probably not going to do that.

02:18:59

All right, That's the question. Good luck.

02:19:01

Yeah, for sure. Yeah, we'll be rooting for you. I'm talking about the Israeli culture and community loves me to death. Yeah, we're rooting for it. I have people that walk up to me in airport like, Thank you for all you're doing for Israel. In my mind, I'm like, I'm just I'm just playing basketball. I'm really just speaking on what I experience.

02:19:17

All right, rowback question. Robackquestion. Robackk. Com. Promo code take 20% off your first purchase. Q-zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, rowbackk. Com. Promo code take. So the Celtics won last year. Did you see Hank on the float with Joe Missoula? He went on the parade. He went on the parade. He was on the duck boat. You said Hank? Yeah, Hank, right there, sitting right there. Producer, pardon my take.

02:19:42

Future Dunker.

02:19:43

One of our best friends, known him For almost half his life. No. Hank was on the float with Joe Missoula. Grace David. Yeah, Grace David's life. I asked that because, hypothetically, if you would ever win a title- Ron is there 100%. No, I was going to ask for Hank. Ron.

02:20:00

No, it was going to be Roan.

02:20:02

Would Roan be on the float or wherever with you?

02:20:07

Roan's in my way.

02:20:08

Okay, great. I just want to make sure because I love Roan, too. I wanted to make sure he will be able to live the day like Hank with.

02:20:15

That's my nigga, Ron. Okay. You guys have no idea. You guys probably have an idea. Yeah, we have an idea.

02:20:20

I just stole him from us. He's the man.

02:20:22

He's the best.

02:20:23

He's actually phenomenal. A phenomenal person first, a phenomenal husband second.

02:20:30

He's insanely talented.

02:20:32

I've been around a ton of guys where it's either, either, or. They're really good and they're a shitty husband. It's very rare that you get both. Phenomenal guy in both of those aspects. Talent-wise, it's something that gives me Jim Carrey vibes.

02:20:47

Yeah, he can do anything.

02:20:48

Do you know what it is?

02:20:48

Anything.

02:20:49

It's also how effortless it is.

02:20:52

Yeah, not forced.

02:20:53

Because I feel like I have to work really hard to be entertained. He feels like you could throw him. I always When you hear this about Ron, too. You can throw him in any setting, any setting, any person, and he'll have a conversation that you want to listen to.

02:21:07

President of the United States suited up Ron, go be there. Black dude in the hood, Ron, go be there. A Mexican, don't even know how to speak English, up. Ron, go be there. It's wild. It's crazy. Put him on football, he go be there. Put him on basketball, he go be there. Son of a boy dad on fucking couch with his legs crossed, he go be there. Fucking Pat Bill pie with Ron. We're talking about gangsta shit and who fucking better, white guys or Black guys. Ron, go be there. He's absolutely phenomenal.

02:21:33

So he'll be on that parade.

02:21:34

What was the answer to that? Who's better, white guys or Black guys?

02:21:38

Remember Cooper Flag?

02:21:40

I think that's a difference. European is very different. Why? European-you're White. I know, but European- You're the Whitedst. Outranks both White and Black. A woman who gets a European, she thinks she's one. You get a last name with a itch or some Italian name. I think that woman for sure thinks she's one, 100%.

02:22:01

Yeah, they are different. I mean, that whole region with Luka, Jokic-Mind you, it's, I don't know, seven, eight countries.

02:22:09

Mind you, if it was just Yugoslavia still. It was, yeah.

02:22:11

They would be dominating everything.

02:22:13

It'd be people who won't make the team. I know. Who are super talented.

02:22:18

That's why they subdivided. Was they had too much talent.

02:22:21

They were bad for basketball. They were like, Yukon women's hoop. To break it up.

02:22:24

Crazy smoke.

02:22:25

All right, Pat, everyone go subscribe to the PatBev pod. Please, we're all. He's the best. Good luck for the rest of the season. Maybe, hopefully, we'll see you back in the NBA at some point.

02:22:36

We'll see. All right. Thanks, Pat. Love, guy. Thanks, man.

02:24:32

Okay, let's wrap up. We got part of your take, Henry. Yeah, we do. Yeah, we do.

02:24:36

Yeah, we do. Aaron Rodgers is dismantling the Jets organization in retaliation against the COVID vaccine. This is all Aaron Rodgers planned to get back at Big Pharma by destroying Woody Johnson's team from the ground up, sticking to the man and destroying the franchise.

02:24:53

Yeah, I like it. Woody Johnson, he did the one-shot thing. Aaron Rodgers gets traded to them, tanks their value.

02:25:03

I got a question for you guys. Did you know that there's boosters for COVID?

02:25:08

I did know that.

02:25:08

I didn't.

02:25:10

Stop it. Yeah, you knew that.

02:25:11

I got one shot four years ago, and that's it.

02:25:15

You didn't know that they were going to release shots every six months?

02:25:19

That's the whole Steven change. I knew Steven Say had shots. I thought there was a new... I didn't know it was the flu shot now. I thought it was a whole new brand. I didn't know it was seasonal boosters.

02:25:29

Yeah, I mean, every week. That's crazy. Travis, Kelsey, John legend, they're talking about getting the new-I thought that was a whole new shot. Well, yeah, it is.

02:25:37

Yeah, I know, but I didn't realize that you get the flu shot and then you get the COVID booster.

02:25:42

Yeah.

02:25:42

The booster. I've only got one.

02:25:44

Mincey boost.

02:25:45

Yeah, I didn't. Have you guys got any boosters?

02:25:47

Fuck, no.

02:25:48

I got one, I think, six months after the first one came out.

02:25:53

I got one because you had to get the card to live.

02:25:56

I got that one. The Johnson & Johnson one was the weakest one. It was the one shot. There was no follow-up. That was four years ago. I didn't know that people were doing every single season. That's why you got COVID.

02:26:09

I think old people. I think it's good for old people. And Steven Chase. And Steven Chase.

02:26:15

I'm also wondering, the person who does these part in your takes is Memes. I'm wondering if they're all going to be Jets part in your takes.Oh.

02:26:20

That would be a nice wrinkle.That.

02:26:21

Would be nice. Wait, Memes, was that your idea that Aaron Rodgers tanked the Jets because he hates Woody Johnson?

02:26:26

No, somebody wrote that in.

02:26:28

Okay. What are your thoughts about It's believable. It is.

02:26:33

I'm dead.

02:26:34

I guess I'm just an idiot because I thought I didn't realize boosters. I don't know what I thought. I thought it was just a whole new, brand new vaccine, but I guess that makes no sense. Yeah, I'm dumb.

02:26:45

If you were to ask Aaron Rodgers if he tanked the Jets because of Woody Johnson, what do you think his answer would be? Yes. I think so, yeah.

02:26:52

For sure.

02:26:54

Pardon your take, but if your team's biggest rival doesn't consider you to be their biggest rival, you are a little brother. Example, if you ask a Michigan State fan who's the biggest rival is in Michigan, no question. If you ask anyone in Michigan, they're going to unequivocally respond that OSU is enemy number one. This exists in all sports everywhere. Sixers fan tape the Celtics. Celtics have a historical rival with the Lakers. Verbal meme, Mad Men. I don't think about you at all.

02:27:17

Yeah, no, this is all facts.

02:27:18

It sucks being that little brother.

02:27:20

Hank, have you tweeted about the Sixers at all today?

02:27:23

Yeah.

02:27:24

So you do think about that. It's because Hank hosts a national sports podcast. I didn't. It's his job. Sometimes a regional.

02:27:29

I was reading That's the fucking question, dude. Those weren't my words. I was quoting the person.

02:27:33

That's big-time little brother energy. You give it off, Max.

02:27:36

That's fair.

02:27:37

I was quoting. I was reading the question. That was not me saying that. Who's the saddest one? I think about you guys all the time and laugh. When I need to get a smile on my face or when I need to just get a quick boost of serotonin, just think about the Sixers.

02:27:51

The saddest little brother?

02:27:53

Nc State, that sucks. Because you got Duke and UNC just duking it out, and they're like, Hey, we don't like UNC. We don't like Duke.

02:28:01

Wake Forest is in that spot.

02:28:03

Yeah, but I don't think that they're-They're even farther away. They wouldn't consider themselves to be little brother to anybody.

02:28:08

Tobacco road, though.

02:28:08

Michigan State's a high one.

02:28:10

I would agree with that, yeah.

02:28:12

Michigan State's a big one.

02:28:15

Commanders.

02:28:16

Commanders, Dallas.

02:28:17

Anyone who thinks they're a rival with Notre Dame. Notre Dame has a million rivals.

02:28:25

Purdue will probably be like, Notre Dame is a big rival. Yeah.

02:28:28

The only ones I I really think for Notre Dame is like, USA. I mean, they don't play it anymore, but Michigan, Notre Dame was real.

02:28:35

I feel like Tennessee has a bunch that they don't have anyone that says Tennessee.

02:28:37

Well, Tennessee has Alabama. Alabama, that's a little brother move by Tennessee.

02:28:40

I feel like there's a few with Tennessee where no one says Tennessee is their main rival, but they have three.

02:28:46

I think Kentucky would probably say that Tennessee's biggest rival, right?

02:28:50

Yeah, and then Tennessee, Little Brothers, Vanderbilt. But yeah, that's a good one. Tennessee, Alabama, and Alabama is like, no, it's Auburn, and it's I have LSU, too.

02:29:00

I would say the Mets are probably up there, too.For who?Yankees.

02:29:06

Yeah.

02:29:07

Wait, did you say Kentucky and Tennessee? I think that-Yeah. Kentucky has Louisville.

02:29:12

Yeah, Mims said Kentucky has Louisville. Yeah, Kentucky has Louisville. That's their big rival.

02:29:15

What about football, though?

02:29:16

Also Louisville.

02:29:17

You think that they care more about it, even though they're not in conference?

02:29:20

Definitely. They play every year. Yeah.

02:29:23

A little slander on a friend of the show here. Who what? But I'm me. He sends the questions. I'll read them. Okay.

02:29:29

It's a hot one.

02:29:30

When JJ Watt retired, people were having discussions about him being a first ballot Hall of Famer, which is absolute nonsense. He's not even on the top 20 for Career Sacks. Meanwhile, Jared Allen is number 12 on that list and has still not gotten in. I'm I'm really not sure if Watt should ever be a Hallfamer. Just thought someone should bring awareness to this issue.

02:29:49

Okay, so I love the take.

02:29:52

Yeah, listen, it's a fair... This is part of your take. You bring the spiciest takes.

02:29:57

I would say that JJ Watts, how many defensive players of the Year Awards does he have?

02:30:01

He won three and four years.

02:30:06

Three and four years, and he probably should have had an MVP somewhere in there.

02:30:11

Jj Watt, from 2012 to 2014, was probably the best, one of, if not the best defensive player. He was probably Lawrence Taylor is obviously number one.

02:30:21

I mean, Aaron Foster was the best offensive player for a few years, stretched.

02:30:24

He should be in the Hall of Fame, too. I agree, Hank.

02:30:26

So he had 20 and a half sacks, 10 and a half sacks, 20 and a half 17 and a half sacks in those four years. That's an insane, insane clip. Sixty-seven and a half sacks or 68 sacks in four years. This guy's an idiot.

02:30:42

And he was dominant, and he was scoring off some touchouts, too. Yeah, JJ, if you look at the other guys that are eligible for the Hall of Fame, I will give you Jared Allen probably should be in the Hall of Fame.

02:30:52

He should, but I think the Hall of Fame, obviously, you can go off career, but it's the Tarell Davis thing. He wasn't His career wasn't super long, but the three or four-year stretch where he was just so much better than everyone else. Jared Allen, he did not win a defensive player of the year, so you could never say he was by far the best defender. I do think Jared Allen should be in the Hall of Fame, but he did have 22 sacks in 2011. But yeah, he had a nice four-year stretch as well, five-year stretch. Jared Allen should be in the Hall of Fame. Yeah. That doesn't mean I mean, JJ Watt shouldn't be.

02:31:32

Yeah. So JJ Watt was so dominant in a relatively short career. It's not like he only played a couple of years and burned out. He had a good career, but he was also so good in that short time period that he ended up putting up all-time numbers in a lot of categories. Yeah, he- And he was double-teamed constantly.

02:31:52

He was injured for four of his 12 years. He pretty much played eight years. Jared Allen played 12 years. He was injured. He played more than 14 games pretty much every single year that he was in the NFL. So he played more games. I think you got to go by games as well. 187 to 151. I don't know. Now I got to crunch the number Sacks per game.

02:32:19

Because if JJ Watt is in a first ballot Hall of Fame, then I honestly would have no idea who a first ballot Hall of Fame would be.

02:32:24

We all agree that Jared Allen should be in the Hall of Fame, so don't take away from JJ just because you want Jared Allen in. All right, I'm doing the stats real quick. You ready for this?

02:32:36

Sacks per game?

02:32:37

Yeah. I'm doing it. Jj Watt, remember this number? Wait, is that right? No. Remember this number. Fuck, I can't do math.

02:32:50

Aaron Foster would be in the Hall of Fame if he wasn't an atheist. I want to say that for the record.

02:32:54

It's 0.75 Sacks per game.

02:32:56

That's a science book.

02:32:57

You had a science book that made him retire.

02:32:59

0.75 Five sacks per game for JJ Watt.

02:33:03

I'm not saying that he's being discriminated. I'm saying that he made a bad move by being like, Hey, guys, I'm an atheist.

02:33:09

0.72 sacks per game for Jared Allen. Jared Allen was really good.

02:33:13

So JJ Watt had 0.03 more sacks per game? Yeah. Got it.

02:33:20

I'm happy we did that number.

02:33:21

Also, not to get too granular with it, but he played on some bad Texans teams. He did. That weren't exactly having to pin their ears back and rush the passer in Russia Pass or the second half of a lot of games.

02:33:32

Why don't we just flip this into a positive? We'll just become a Jared Allen Should Be in the Hall of Fame podcast. Yeah. He should. I made one of the least sold shirts I've ever made in my entire Barstool career. I made a shirt that she said, Wind 'Em, Dine 'Em, '69. I thought he was the finishing piece for the bears. Second-year trustman. He's going to do this. Holy shit. He's going to be awesome. Also, people didn't really want to wear a shirt that Wind him, die him, 69 him.

02:34:01

The fact that he bounced around so much is not good for his Hall of Fame case either.

02:34:06

Yeah. I think obviously, Vikings is the first jersey you come up with, but Chiefs, Vikings, and then at the end of his career. Yeah.

02:34:14

All right. While most people watch my Cowboys get dismantled like a cheap tent on Monday Night Football, all I can think about is how our beloved owner, Mr. Jerry Jones, actively attempted to murder multiple people with a piece of sheet metal. Under Section 15.01 of the Texas Penal Code, I like this. Attempted murder carries a charge of up to 10 years in prison. It's time we stop letting the elites off the hook and hold them accountable for their actions. If you guys could get Mike Portnoy asquired to begin proceedings, that would be greatly appreciated.

02:34:40

A class action.

02:34:41

I mean, he got Mike Tyson who couldn't even stand up illegally commissioned in Texas. Like, this guy's untouchable.

02:34:49

He's tried to kill multiple people. He took the top off in mid-November. He could kill someone. Somebody's going to die. He still wouldn't go to prison.

02:34:55

No.

02:34:56

Yeah, he would not go to prison.

02:34:57

Or he would build his own prison like Pablo Escobar and be like, Just send me here.

02:35:01

It would be Jerry World.

02:35:03

It would be Jerry World. Yeah, he'd just live in the stadium.

02:35:05

That is the dream, though, to get barely injured by a falling piece of metal in Jerry Jones Stadium. Oh, my God. Just scratch. You never see me again. I would be a billionaire. It'd be awesome.

02:35:17

Or you just get Cowboys tickets. That would suck.

02:35:20

Yeah. No, that'd be then I assume again.

02:35:22

Did you guys see the Paul Skeen's giveaway? There's giving away a card, and if you get it, it's a rookie Paul Skeen's card. If you get it, you get 30 years of Pirates season tickets, two seats behind Home Plate.

02:35:38

Softball game for 30 at PNC Park. That's awesome. That is the sickest. Wait, someone did it? Someone got it?

02:36:11

02:36:18

Oh, to give it? Oh, they're trying to buy it?

02:36:19

The card is already out, but the pirates are trying to get that card.

02:36:25

The pirates are trying to get that card so they can sell it in four years so they can pay Paul Skins.

02:36:30

Yeah, and Libby Dunn also offered they could watch a game in the suite with her. That's one of the-In her box?

02:36:36

Yeah, in the box. Libby Dunn offered admittance to her box.
