President Trump gave a rare primetime address last night.

As he signaled early in the week, the president focused most of that speech on the issue of election integrity. Joining us now to discuss is Cabot Phillips, host of Wired In. Thanks for coming on. So a lot of, you know, hype heading into this speech from the White House. What did we hear from the president last night?

Well, we were told that he would focus on threats to our elections, uh, particularly from China, and that is exactly what we got. The president started off by comparing the state of the nation under his leadership versus the disaster that Joe Biden handed him, including out-of-control illegal immigration, radical gender ideology, and crime. Uh, he then touted the economic turnaround that he says has taken place since his inauguration. But what he came to talk about and what he really brought the receipts for was our elections, specifically a campaign by China to undermine him in 2020. The speech focused on what he called 5 main areas of concern, which he made clear from the beginning were not intended to weaken confidence in our elections, but ultimately to strengthen it. First, and perhaps most shocking, he announced for the first time that the US intelligence community had identified a sweeping election interference plot by the Chinese Communist Party, which he says ultimately culminated in the wide-scale hacking of US voter rolls.

During the 2020 election cycle, the People's Republic of China carried out what is believed to be the largest compromise of election data in history, resulting in China's illicit acquisition of 220 million U.S. voter files. That information includes names, addresses, phone numbers, political party preferences, and other sensitive data that would be needed to register to vote and engage in other nefarious activities, which is exactly what was happening.

The president announced that all of the documents related to this plot would be posted on whitehouse.gov, though it's worth noting folks will notice many are heavily redacted. From there, he outlined what the CIA believed to be the goals of this Chinese interference.

In mid-2018, the Chinese Communist Party's policy was to leverage all domestic and foreign elements that were opposed to the U.S. president in an effort to reduce the U.S. president's votes and make him resign or prevent his reelection.

The president then read direct quotes from what he said were CIA documents outlining other remarkable steps that were allegedly taken by the Chinese to weaken Trump's standing ahead of the 2020 election.

The strategy included efforts to use Chinese contacts with big U.S. companies to influence U.S. business leaders to turn against the president of the United States of America. The Chinese government sought to identify U.S. journalists who had reported negatively on the U.S. president and pay them large sums of money to write more negative articles about him, as many as they could, and they didn't care what they said. The Chinese government wanted U.S. president to lose the next election.

And then in really just a bombshell revelation, he said that the intelligence community intentionally kept that information of Chinese meddling from him and from Congress.

Yeah, those responsible for sounding the alarm instead kept the information secret and hidden. They did not disclose to me as president or to anyone else, and to the best of our knowledge, they did not inform Congress.

He went on to read direct quotes from CIA and FBI officials outlining their alleged efforts to keep this plot from him even going as far as editing his daily intelligence briefing, which, as folks know, is meant to keep him abreast of exactly this sort of plot.

One email among intelligence analysts admitted that they had, quote, deliberately massaged the presidential daily briefing to withhold information regarding Chinese activities related to the election. Another official inside the FBI wrote that she was running, quote, quote, a shadow government, unquote, to keep intelligence about China's election meddling from becoming known and to keep it away from the honorable press. Other officials who witnessed such efforts perceived the motivations to be blatantly political.

From there, he outlined intelligence assessments that he says cast doubt on the integrity of electronic voting machines that are used in American elections.

Tonight, we're publishing a series of previously classified U.S. intelligence community assessments and other reports proving that our government has long known these machines are extremely exposed to attack. Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, as well as non-state groups have the capability to compromise U.S. election infrastructure.

Now, the president did stop short of claiming that the Chinese or any other foreign actor played a role in directly influencing the actual vote count during the elections. But there is no doubt that he provided what appears to be compelling evidence that Beijing worked overtime to influence at least voter sentiment and that the intelligence community again intentionally kept those efforts from him. As we expected, towards the end, the president used the address to urge Congress to pass the Save America Act, which would, among other things, require voter ID at the polls.

To all Americans, I ask you to pick up your phone tomorrow, call your representatives in the House and Senate, and demand that they pass the Save America Act without delay.

And one interesting note from last night: while the address just dominated the airwaves, some legacy outlets actually chose not to air it, saying they did not want to give the president a platform to spread misinformation. And he took the opportunity last night to take aim at those outlets.

In a rare move, NBC and ABC fake news have both said that they would not cover this speech. They knew what it was about because of the fact that they don't like the topic because they know how corrupt our system is and they don't want to reveal it.

So a remarkable night in Washington. Um, we're going to be sifting through these newly declassified intelligence documents, uh, for many days in the future. And the big question now becomes what sort of pressure this puts on lawmakers in Congress to pass the Save America Act.

War Secretary Pete Hegseth announced this week another sweeping change to military policy as he seeks to overhaul the services into a more aggressive, battle-ready force. Now, service members 30 and older will be tested for testosterone levels and offered hormone therapy when needed.

Joining us now is Dr. Halim Muhammad, Chief Medical Officer at Game Day Men's Health. Dr. Hal, thanks for coming on.

Thank you so much for having me, guys.

So just from a medical perspective, first, can you tell us how you define testosterone deficiency? Because of course it's natural for it to be in a range. And also, how common is it among men of military age?

So testosterone deficiency and low testosterone, those are two different things. Low testosterone is the actual number, the lab test, which can range anywhere from 300 to 1,200 depending on which lab assay you use.. So below 300 is considered low testosterone. Testosterone deficiency is the symptoms that you have with it, and it can be fatigue, libido issues, trouble building muscle in the gym, holding on to adipose tissue, fatty tissue around the belly. Those are all signs of symptoms of testosterone deficiency. So the combination of those two, the lab work plus the symptoms, is what you would call testosterone deficiency. And how common is it? I mean, at age 30, it definitely starts to decline. We see a 1 to 2% decline, and it starts to accelerate as you get older. But it's not really age age-related. It's more about, you know, what they're doing, if they're not in the gym, if they have a poor diet, if they have poor sleep, which we see in the military as well. Stress levels can definitely lower because cortisol competes with testosterone, and that's very high in our heroes in the military.

Now, what are the risks, though, of supplementing with exogenous testosterone? It's not zero risk. What about things like fertility and maybe even cancers, prostate cancer caused by TRT.

That's a myth that's been around since 1941, and it was based on one patient, and that's actually been debunked and removed from the, the testosterone FDA, the notification on the actual testosterone. So that, that's no longer, you know, true at all. If you're using testosterone without any other, you know, supplementation to make sure that your system is still working, yes, there is a risk of infertility, and I definitely don't advise that for our younger population who people who haven't had children. That's one thing that, you know, when I'm talking to our younger population, I always say, I want to make sure that I allow you to have the same joys of fatherhood that I did. So that, that's something we're very careful about.

Now, the Defense Department says that this program for testing men for low testosterone and restoring their normal levels is, um, basically just about restoring them to normal health. Where do you draw that distinction between just bringing someone back to their normal healthy levels and then enhancing them beyond that?

I mean, we know testosterone can help drive energy, muscle recovery, mood, focus, libido, all of those things. And when it's in a healthy range, men generally feel and perform better. And that, that matters a lot. The goal is, is going to be a healthy, normal range, not supraphysiological levels, not performance-enhancing drug levels. It's for patients who are— who have low testosterone and testosterone deficiency, clinical hypogonadism. And I think that's where the Department of Defense is aiming for. We're not looking to max out anybody. It's really just to optimize these guys to take care of us. And we need to make sure that they're feeling their best as well.

Now, here's a question from my producer, who's himself a veteran. He mentioned that a lot of guys he knows are ordering testosterone online from some sketchy websites. Will the testosterone that our troops receive be in any way qualitatively different from the stuff that people are able to access on the internet?

You know, that's, that's part of what I do every single day at GameDay. It's trying to guide these guys to a medically supervised where you have clinician oversight, where you're doing labs. I think 65% of guys with low testosterone don't even get tested. Some of these guys that are getting testosterone off the internet will never get tested. And that's where the risk comes in, right? That's where you have erythrocytosis, the increase in red blood cells. You can have risk of stroke and heart attacks like that, or guys who are really pumping up their levels. And that's where you get cardiovascular risk. So when you have a clinician that's monitoring closely, that's trained in hormonal health, and it's not going to be every clinician out there. That's, that's where I think our job is to keep them as safe as possible. And that's why I love what I do every day.

Administration is moving forward with reforms at the Smithsonian Institution after a comprehensive White House report found that the National Museum of American History reframed US history through lenses of grievance identity politics and anti-American narratives. Smithsonian leaders are calling it an attack on scholarly independence.

Daily Wire culture reporter Megan Basham is here now with more on the showdown between the White House and the Smithsonian. So Megan, this report that came out on the 4th, on the 250th anniversary, has sparked some real backlash. It's 162 pages, um, basically auditing the Smithsonian museums for anti-American themes. What did they find?

Yeah, so there were 3 key areas of complaint in this report, Georgia. One, they cited historical revisionism that casts the U.S. as essentially villains on the world stage and on stage of history. And then two, they cited a number of exhibits for inappropriate sexualized material. And then three, they also cited indoctrination into a new set of moral values based on social justice activism and DEI values. So this was how White House Domestic Policy Director Vince Haley put it.

They've changed the mission at the Smithsonian over the past few years. They used to be dedicated to telling an inspiring story about American history, but they've traded all that for political activism. And we don't have to guess about that. They put it in their documents.

So just to give you a few specifics here, the report found that roughly 20% of that Benjamin Franklin exhibit focuses on enslaved people, basically asking attendees to think about the, quote, women, slaves, and indentured servants that made his discoveries possible. And though there's never been any evidence that Franklin did this, The exhibit even asked visitors to consider whether he conducted electric shock experiments on slaves. So you had some online arguing that essentially an American history museum took one of America's historical heroes and smeared him with baseless accusations. And there were other similar findings on how other Smithsonian exhibits focus almost solely on the flaws of our founding fathers rather than on their great accomplishments. On the flip side, an exhibit on the 1960s radical and communist Angela Davis treats her as an unvarnished hero, and that's despite the fact that she argued to abolish police and jails and was for years on the FBI's most wanted list for her involvement in the death of a judge. And then on sexuality, you had exhibits like one titled Girlhood: It's Complicated, and that profiled transgender activist Jazz Jennings, a male who believes he is female, and another one presented a 6-year-old girl's diary pages where she fantasized about growing a penis.

Uh, immigration-focused displays like the Many Voices, One Nation display and the Becoming the U.S. exhibit frame illegal immigration as a civil rights issue, and they use activist language like undocumented and unafraid and social justice while instructing teachers who use Smithsonian curriculum to avoid terms like illegal alien.

No doubt the Smithsonian is defending their exhibits. What are they saying?

Smithsonian Secretary Lonnie Bunch says that the White House report is not a fair representation of the museum or its work. He maintains that the institution is committed to nonpartisan, independent scholarship, and he really says that all they're trying to do here is tell an accurate story about the complex history of the United States.

It scares me when people aren't brave enough to face their history. Let us understand America.

We celebrate, we commemorate, but the goal is to understand. And you can only understand it when you grapple with the complexity of who we once were.

Now, the New York Times, The Atlantic, and other left-leaning legacy outlets have framed Trump's campaign here to reform the Smithsonian as an attempt by a president to perform a a sanitized, and they say a celebratory version of the past that minimizes things like slavery and racial discrimination and some of our other national flaws. So they released this report.

Are they asking for changes to be made? What are the next steps here?

Yeah, that is, um, still an open question, Georgia, and that's why the story continues to be live, because the White House is promising that they're going to take action on this, though they haven't released a detailed plan yet. But I think some important context is that the Smithsonian occupies a pretty unique position here. It's not a typical federal federal agency, but it does receive more than $1 billion in taxpayer funding. Roughly 62% of its budget is federal funding. So the administration has a lot of leverage here through that funding, through reviews, through, uh, content oversight, and even potential changes in leadership to enact reforms within the Smithsonian.

Well, and in the end, this is a struggle over the lessons the next generation are going to take about this nation and who we are. Megan, thanks so much for reporting.
