Transcript of Major union decides not endorse Kamala Harris in 2024 election

Trump 2024. Senior official, Cori Lewandowski, joins me now. Cori, good to see you. Thank you very much for being here. We should mention that at 10:00 tonight, I know you got to come here, but some of the other folks on your team were over at Gutfeld, where President Trump joined the whole crew, right?

It's going to be a surprise. It's going to be a great show, I'm sure. I had the opportunity to go there or come here, and I said, I've got to be with you.

Well, thank you. I've done that show. It'll be interesting to see how that goes, and we look forward to watching that tonight. With regard to Uniondale, I want to start with that, actually. A lot of people look at the election map, and you've got less than seven weeks to go and say, why is the former President spending time in New York, which is his down double digits at the moment against Harris in New York.

We'll take no vote for granted. And what we've seen from the Democrats, they take every vote for granted, as they have for the last 30 years. They've taken the African-American vote for granted. They've taken the unions for granted. And what do we see today? For the first time in 28 For the years, the Teamsters Union has made a decision not to endorse in this race because they know that the rank and file, those people have to get up and go to work every single day who've seen the cost of their groceries go up, the cost of their fuel prices go up, the cost of their home heating oil go up. They're with Donald Trump. We take nothing for granted. Tonight, this is going to be a massive rally. We had over 60,000 RSVPs to be at this event tonight. Inside the lucky 16,000, a little like getting a Wanker bar. Remember, like you get a special one. 16,000 The lucky people, the golden ticket. The other 46,000, 44,000 aren't going to make it inside, but it's going to be an amazing show. Donald Trump is going to talk about important things tonight. The issue of immigration continues to be paramount in this campaign.

The issue of the economy, paramount in this campaign. What has Donald Trump said? Hey, let's reduce taxes on tips. Let's reduce no taxes on overtime, no taxes on Social Security. Now, what has he said? Let's make sure if you had that salt deduction, the state and local tax deduction, and you've been capped, let's take that off to make sure that people can go out and buy a home and still get that rebate, which they so deserve.

It only applies to a few places, so I don't want to get too New York for the rest of the audience. But he was in favor of the cap on the salt tax in order to get the 2017 tax cuts through Congress, correct?

That's right. Don't forget, that was the largest tax cut in American history, and more people benefited from that than any other tax cut ever. So you had to give a little bit. But now we've seen what that's done. We've seen so many people who don't get to deduct that tax on their homes, the property tax. They're being burdened by that, and they're being burdened because of the overzealous regulations from the Biden-Harris-Walls administration, which is putting more stress on the economy every day.

All right, here's Sean O'Brien in Milwaukee, which feels like yesterday, several weeks ago, and two assassination attempts ago, unfortunately, for the current candidate and former President. Let's watch what he had to say that night. Watch.

President Trump had the backbone to open the doors to this Republican Convention, and That's unprecedented. I think we all can agree whether people like him or they don't like him. In light of what happened to him on Saturday, he has proven to be one tough SOB.

It's striking. Let's put up those poll numbers once again, guys, that show that the membership overwhelmingly supports President Trump of the Teamsters. And yet in the statement that O'Brien put out, Cory, towards the end of it, he said that they met with both former President Trump and Vice President Harris and found no definitive support among members for either party's nominee. What?

Look, we've got a 27-point advantage in this poll that they've put out by their own numbers. What is he talking about? Look, it's all politics, and we understand it. Okay, look, the unions, by and large, have been just an extension of the Democratic Party, but the rank and file with Donald Trump, and you see the police officers.

Those are the votes. It doesn't really matter what the leadership says.

We don't care what the leadership says. Okay, it's about the rank and file, the police officers, firefighters, the teamsters, the electricians, the plumbers, the carpenters, all of these guys, all of these women who have to get up and work every single day are with Donald Trump because they want to be able to keep more of their own money.
