Hi, this is Troy Polamalu and you're listening to Fantasy Footballers Podcast.

00:00:10

Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Welcome in.

00:00:33

That was pretty good, Andy.

00:00:34

Thank you. Some people say I sound like—

00:00:39

Sounded like a banshee.

00:00:42

It seemed like maybe an extinct species of bird.

00:00:46

No, the, uh, where they like, we modeled a mummified body from whatever, and they're like, oh, when they try to replicate.

00:00:55

Yeah.

00:00:55

And they're like, here's what they would have sound like.

00:00:57

And it goes Do you believe any of that stuff? After we messed up how dinosaurs look?

00:01:06

Well, we still don't know.

00:01:07

Did we?

00:01:08

Yeah.

00:01:09

Well, we do know.

00:01:10

Well, no, we don't because of the bones.

00:01:13

Because of the bones.

00:01:15

Shout out to because of the bones.

00:01:18

Apologies in advance for my weakening voice. It's been a long week of every person in this entire office being sick in some capacity.

00:01:26

Hasn't got me yet.

00:01:28

Yeah, I don't, I don't really know. I like Mike. Mike was a couple weeks ago. Al Borland had to fight through it for the entirety of the live show. He timed it up perfectly.

00:01:39

He probably got it from Papa Josh a few days before that.

00:01:42

I'm pretty, you know what?

00:01:43

Over the weekend. No, Papa Josh never gets sick. Papa Josh has just allergies. I had allergies for a day and that was it. Yeah.

00:01:49

And everybody else caught his allergies.

00:01:50

Everybody caught his allergies. There's a lot of dust in the air right now.

00:01:54

Totally.

00:01:54

But we're fighting through it. It's too important of a week. our final mock draft episode today. Oh, does that make you sad?

00:02:04

A little bit.

00:02:04

That should make you happy.

00:02:05

Football is here. I'm really excited for football to happen, but mock drafts are so fun and obviously that will be gone for a long time. Yeah.

00:02:14

But I mean, now it's the capstone mock draft. It's the best one of the year.

00:02:18

Okay.

00:02:19

We have—

00:02:19

Well, then whoever's got the first pick better do great.

00:02:22

Yeah. What a tough decision you have with number 1, Jason. I like that I got the same spot as the last draft. That was fun.

00:02:33

Oh man.

00:02:34

We have the—

00:02:34

You sent Brooks into a cold sweat.

00:02:36

Oh, I mean, I know.

00:02:38

He is panicking right now.

00:02:39

It is that I think I am in the exact same spot, but that's what random things happen sometimes. How random things happen. The UDK is available now. Tons of you drafting this weekend. UltimateDraftKit.com. All of our tier-based projections. And you'll have the app available to you for all the research you need. It's always being updated. Prepare yourself to dominate your draft. Set the foundation for your league. We also have— we are outpacing last year with our Megalobowl entries. Oh, what is the total at?

00:03:09

It's even more this morning.

00:03:10

Right now it was, it was over 17,000 people playing with us in the Megalobowl. I don't know the exact number, but We need to get it basically over 21,000 to beat last year. So go to megalobowl.com. If you are unaware what that is, it is a, it's just another fantasy league to play in.

00:03:30

But it's not just a—

00:03:31

Jason, I was just starting. It was, it was an interesting thing.

00:03:33

I didn't like your start. I did not care for your tone at all.

00:03:36

Listen to this.

00:03:37

At all.

00:03:38

It's not just another fantasy football league.

00:03:40

Thank you.

00:03:41

This is a fantasy football league where you're going to play with other Foot Clan members, meaning You know, they're like-minded. They've got a good sense of humor. They know what they're doing. They're fun. But also it's challenging. Like you don't have, you know, any schlub in that league. And so you got to, you got to work through it.

00:03:58

That's what TLC was talking about.

00:03:59

Right.

00:04:00

No, no, we don't want no schlubs.

00:04:02

Yes. It wasn't even schlub, Mike. It was scrub. Oh, that's the— don't— that's too far.

00:04:08

What is happening this morning?

00:04:10

That's too far.

00:04:11

I support it.

00:04:12

You're with Mike on this?

00:04:13

Yeah.

00:04:13

All right.

00:04:14

Have you heard a joke on this show before?

00:04:16

It's a rhyme and rarely are we accurate with the—

00:04:19

I mean, oh my gosh.

00:04:20

We don't try to be on the nose.

00:04:21

If you want another fantasy football league, go to megalobowl.com.

00:04:24

That's it.

00:04:24

Quick question of the day from Brayton. Can you guys incorporate more updates from your League of Record?

00:04:29

We can. We— it's funny. We get asked this all the time. And so I guess we should.

00:04:33

I feel like we have done that more.

00:04:34

But it's one of those things.

00:04:35

No one really wants to talk about the League of Record this year.

00:04:38

Yeah.

00:04:38

Yeah. Wait a minute.

00:04:39

I don't. I don't really want to talk about it, Jay. I mean, unless you want to talk about me being the champ from last year.

00:04:44

Let's just focus on 2027.

00:04:46

Let's play a game where we go in a circle and name all the players I already have on my team. Ready?

00:04:52

Mike, you start. No, no, no. Let me start because it's easy. Malik Nabers. I'm done.

00:04:57

No, no, no. Not on your team. We're going in and we're talking about my team and the players I have on my team. So you start.

00:05:04

I refuse.

00:05:05

Yeah.

00:05:06

Okay.

00:05:06

Nobody wants to play this game. No, he said, think of the 6 best players in the league and then just put them on my team. No, we, I mean, we love, we've talked about it a lot. We had Al and I face off in a championship game a couple of years ago. Mike had his year of Mike. The year before that, we had the betrayal by 2/3 of the, of the Deucers Alley. That would be Papa Josh. And then the quiet one that was totally guilty that puts his hands up like he's under arrest right now.

00:05:38

Falsely accused.

00:05:39

But luckily I won that title and it was no big deal.

00:05:42

So there you go.

00:05:43

No, we give you guys updates. We just don't want to overwhelm the show with like our personal league. But I know that you guys get excited about our competitiveness and the times we get to mock one another. And Jason eventually will have a player on his team actually play. Yeah. Josh Jacobs-Nevers combo right now. Yeah.

00:05:59

I lost Jonathan Taylor to the lottery. Traded away the artist formerly known as Travis ETN. I have Malik Nabers who might not play and I had Josh Jacobs as my other keeper. So it's 2027, boys.

00:06:13

I'm so excited to be able to host this mock draft today.

00:06:16

Yeah, it's going to go well for you. News and notes from around the league.

00:06:25

The Raiders have named Kirk Cousins as the team's week 1 starter.

00:06:30

Well, that's better than the Falcons. The Falcons have—

00:06:34

What are we even doing here?

00:06:35

I mean, we're, we're, we're days away from like, like they are currently practicing for week 1. We're at the point where training camps are over. The, you know, interteam scrimmages are over. They are preparing. It's absurd for week 1, but they don't know who their quarterback is because they, they won't have a quarterback through the entire year. Like I know we've started our week 1 rankings a little bit like behind the scenes, but we haven't, I haven't really been diving into the matchups. I don't know who the Falcons play week 1, but I'm taking the other team.

00:07:07

So are they.

00:07:09

It's rare to have—

00:07:12

they're at Pittsburgh. Yep.

00:07:13

Sure. Great. They could have been anywhere.

00:07:15

It's very rare to name a starting quarterback after September 1st. This year we have Cousins. The last 2 years nobody did that. Before that it was the Cardinals.

00:07:24

Yeah. Not a serious organization. Makes sense.

00:07:26

It was Trubisky and the Steelers on September 1st. 6th of 2022 to Rod Taylor, 2021. Yeah, I'm not seeing like a string of All-Pros getting named starters.

00:07:39

Yeah, I think there is, there is a—

00:07:41

Nathan Peterman.

00:07:42

There's a direct correlation with naming your starter this late and having a horrifically bad year.

00:07:50

Clint Kubiak says he's optimistic Ash and Gente will play week 1 against the Dolphins. I, there's so much. Whispers in the bushes about Mike Washington Jr. having a big role. Where are you guys with that?

00:08:01

I'm— I think there's been enough smoke, certain things said by Kubiak where I'm not back to where I started. Where I started when Kubiak came here was I was like full out on Gente. I thought it would be a timeshare.

00:08:15

Like what they didn't see.

00:08:16

Exactly what you saw coming off a Super Bowl where you took Kenbow and Walker and you put them behind Charbonnet. I'm not back to that place, but I do think that Mike Washington Jr., what he's done in preseason, what he's done in camp, and with the ability, like if they have a player in Mike Washington, which I was very skeptical of, then they will, they will rest Ginty Moore with it. So I have, I've moved the needle a little bit. I think I've got, I think I've got Mike Washington up to like 140. 40 carries somewhere around there, which is not a, not a ton, but it's, it's certainly not the situation where I view Ashen Gentry as what Christian McCaffrey was last year.

00:08:59

Mike Evans back at practice on Wednesday.

00:09:02

Okay. How about—

00:09:03

hold on. Wait, hold on. We're getting breaking news. Mike Evans has left practice.

00:09:09

I'm just assuming. Yeah, no, you're right.

00:09:12

I haven't heard anything.

00:09:13

Mike Evans will be back in the news tomorrow. Yeah.

00:09:15

But he's practicing.

00:09:16

So maybe that is good.

00:09:18

That is good.

00:09:20

Imika Ekpegbu working off to the side, projected to be ready for week 1. The world would like us to clarify that it was a toe sprain, not turf toe. He seems, I mean, I've watched a lot of—

00:09:32

I don't think we know. We don't, we don't really know what's going on.

00:09:37

They have been, they have not said turf toe. That's all I'm reporting. The team is not— the team has said sprained toe, not turf toe. There is a difference. He is still trying to basically be able to cut on that foot, on that toe. He's been going through all the motions this week, trying to strengthen that, see if he's ready for week 1.

00:09:59

You know, it's— Yeah, our medical guy, Matthew Betz, certified PT, is reminding us. Turf toe is a sprain of the big toe.

00:10:10

Yeah, you can't turf toe the small ones.

00:10:12

Right.

00:10:13

That's why if they're just saying it's a sprained toe, it could, it could still be turf toe. Yeah, it's which toe is it? And because of the recovery and the struggles with it, it definitely feels like turf toe.

00:10:23

Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I, I think we hope to see him out there in week 1 and maybe he ends up dropping in ADP. Panthers coach Dave Canales says he is optimistic Jonathan Brooks will play in week 1.

00:10:37

Oof.

00:10:37

General soreness. General soreness is reporting for duty.

00:10:40

He's trying to keep him out.

00:10:42

How do you guys project—

00:10:43

Get to the sideline, soldier.

00:10:45

How do you guys project the Jonathan Brooks, Chuba week 1 split?

00:10:53

50-50.

00:10:53

And who gets the first carry?

00:10:55

Chuba. Yeah, I think Chuba. I bet this just We're probably hot hand the entire season.

00:11:03

Well, Brooks should have a hotter hand. I think Chuba's had very few hot hands in his career.

00:11:08

I mean, you, you, that's why he's a warm-handed running back. The fantasy football drafters, you're making your choice of who you think it will be, but I think it will be a very frustrating back and forth of—

00:11:22

They've been a good running team.

00:11:23

They, yes, they can have a very good running scheme. They have a solid offensive line. But like last year, it was, I mean, it started as Chuba and then Rico takes over and then it was hot hand. So I just think week to week, that's, this could be pretty tough. If, if one of them is seemingly going to take over eventually, it probably should be Jonathan Brooks. But I think it is a, I think it's a sketchy move week to week. I don't know that you're going to be able to really count on either of them.

00:11:57

Any other news?

00:11:59

Not at this time.

00:12:01

Okay. By the way, we wanted to make the Falcon do the welcome in today, knowing my voice is a little weak, but like—

00:12:08

But we love you, Foot Clan.

00:12:09

Yeah. I mean, the gag just would have fallen flatter somehow.

00:12:15

Bleh.

00:12:15

All right. We're going to take a quick break, an early break, and then we'll jump into our final mock draft of the season.

00:12:30

The Fantasy Footballers Mock Draft.

00:12:37

All right. Our final mock draft. Jason at the 1 spot. Mike at the 5 spot. I'm at 9. It's a 12-team mock. 1 quarterback, 2 running back, 2 wide receivers, 1 tight end, 1 flex, 4 bench. Away we go.

00:12:50

Jason kicks us off. All right, Jason, make your pick.

00:12:51

Oh, wow.

00:12:52

Oh, wow.

00:12:52

Shock the world here at the 101.

00:12:53

Oh, shock.

00:12:56

Take Jahmyr Gibbs.

00:12:58

Have some courage.

00:13:00

Maybe I'll get Sailor Jerry at the end. Just kidding. He's just a reason to not draft anyone other than Gibbs with the 1.01, also known as the player Andy gets to draft in the League of Record on Monday.

00:13:13

I have, I have heard from a lot of people. I mean, McCaffrey's going at 1.04 right now.

00:13:19

Yeah.

00:13:19

Gibbs, Bijan, Chase, McCaffrey. But I have heard a lot of back and forth from people nervous about taking McCaffrey.

00:13:26

It's, yeah, but they're nervous.

00:13:27

Sure.

00:13:28

Tale as old as time.

00:13:29

Yeah.

00:13:29

Yeah.

00:13:30

I have, I have been one of those people where I'm, I am still a little hesitant when there's a tie-breaking, like right now he went number 4. For me, he would probably go, you know, around 7. I would take JSN and Amon-Ra over, over McCaffrey just because of those fears. But I mean, if you're trying to win a championship and, you know, looking for the highest possible upside, it's usually Christian McCaffrey.

00:14:00

Mike, you're on the clock.

00:14:01

All right. So the— we talked a little bit about Puka and his situation yesterday. We don't have clarity as of this point. Yeah, it seems like Puka will be playing. You know, week 1, I just, there was a, I just saw a promo video for the Rams-49ers getting ready for the Australia game. And Puka is heavily featured in said video. So the NFL at least is still putting that material out. Yeah. But I'm going to, I'm going to try something a little bit different here. I think James Cook is an elite running back and I'm going to take him here. over the wide receivers and see what my team— see if I like what happens with the team on the way back.

00:14:47

I mean, we just did the draft of offenses and obviously the Bills are one of those top 5 elite offenses that you want pieces of and Cook will score a ton of touchdowns.

00:14:57

With Mike on the clock, I knew that there was a 5-pack of guys, maybe 6, that I was into. This one's interesting. Cook, Puka, Jonathan Taylor, and then Achane.

00:15:07

Oh man.

00:15:08

That 108. And I—

00:15:08

highest of tee.

00:15:10

Look, I just, I just want to bang the table one final time before the season starts for De'Von Achane. There is—

00:15:18

you sure about that?

00:15:20

I'm so certain. This is why.

00:15:22

Yeah.

00:15:23

This is why. This is the 3rd best running back in football, in my opinion. Oh, and what? Yeah.

00:15:32

You're saying as a—

00:15:33

I think as a talent, as a versatile I mean, this was the only back that was— what did he say? Absolutely the most consistent running back last year on a team that was— do you remember that Tua— what are we talking about with the Falcons? Tua is a terrible quarterback.

00:15:52

Yeah.

00:15:52

And I know he has his propensity to get the ball.

00:15:55

Oh yeah, he loves checking it down.

00:15:56

To check it down. Achane is an elite running back. People are underestimating Malik Willis and this offense. Chris Bell is going to be there from day one and Achane is going to be worthy of this pick at the end of the year.

00:16:09

Are you saying that if you were an NFL GM, you would—

00:16:14

Number 3.

00:16:14

You would take him number 3.

00:16:16

Number 3.

00:16:16

So you'd take him ahead of Hampton and Ginty.

00:16:19

Yes.

00:16:20

And Cook.

00:16:20

Yes.

00:16:21

Jonathan Taylor.

00:16:22

I think he's the 3rd best all-around running back in football.

00:16:25

All right.

00:16:26

I have unfortunately a weird selection because of that. I thought I'd get Amon-Ra or JSN. Now I have to choose between them. So I'll just take Jackson Smith-Njigba at 109.

00:16:38

Yeah, that makes sense. But between him and Amon-Ra, or I'm sorry, it, yeah, yeah, I guess it, or Jay, are you still JSN firmly over Amon-Ra?

00:16:48

No, certainly not. Not firmly.

00:16:50

I struggle with those two.

00:16:51

I do too. I think they're in the exact same, you know, tier. I could see it going either way. I mean, JSN has far more target market share of his team, but the offense I think is far better for the Lions as far as total points scored on the season and the way that they play. So yeah, I mean, I'm fine either way. Honestly, I would love to be in Julia's spot where she gets to get Amon-Ra St. Brown at the 10 spot.

00:17:21

Yep. So we got Amon-Ra, CeeDee Lamb, and Kenneth Walker finishing out the first round. Good work, Matt, honoring Kenbone Walker to be a first-round selection.

00:17:30

You took him ahead of Barkley.

00:17:32

Yeah, that's right, Saquon Barkley. You're a second-round pick. Then Chase Brown, Hampton goes to Julia, and then Andy wasting no time in selecting Justin Jefferson.

00:17:46

Yeah, it was Jefferson or AJ Brown there for me. Did not take the pick of Ginty. And at the running back spot, I just prefer the JSN Jefferson combo. We'll go wide receiver, wide receiver.

00:18:00

So after Jefferson, we get Ashton Gentry, Nico Collins, Derrick Henry. I am back on the clock. I took James Cook in the first, which I mean, seeing how the draft board has unfolded, that really worked out. We went very high T, very heavy in the running backs and AJ Brown. An elite wide receiver 1 did fall to me as compared to, you know, the running backs on the board here would be Kyren, Jeremiah Love, fine players, but getting to start with 2 elite, like an elite running back and elite wide receiver, that feels pretty good. So I'm going to take AJ Brown. Then when Josh Allen first— whoa, first quarterback off of the board in the 2nd round. I guess baby Jake just He needs him some Josh Allen. Kyle takes George Pickens, DeVonta Smith, and then Jason, you are back on the clock.

00:18:51

So this is, this is really, really interesting to me. There's 3 players at 3 different positions that are kind of a tier break at all of them. I mean, obviously you've got both Brock Bowers and Trey McBride. So I could take the tight end, which here at the 2-3 turn, I feel like is a great value. But there's also good value with Drake London. You know, he's been a player I haven't been as hot on, but he started the year because of the PUA. But he, that was also because he was starting the year like near the end of the first round, very beginning of the second round going ahead of, you know, it was like you were basically in the, am I taking London or Justin Jefferson? I think we've talked that situation down enough to where, man, he's here. And then at running back, I do think Jeremiah Love at the 2-3 turn is totally— you're near his floor and you still have crazy upside. But since I've got Gibbs, I think I'm going to go more hero running back. I'll take Drake London and then a— and I'm doing that so that I can say I got a 3rd round Brock Bowers.

00:19:59

What a value, Jason. Oh my goodness.

00:20:02

But that sets me up. Gibbs, London and Bowers, one of each. Since I do prefer— people talk about, you know, what strategy do you have at the turn? I prefer, and I don't always do this, but I find that I'm happier when I split my positions at the turn. If I go running back, running back, or wide receiver, wide receiver, the flexibility I just have to have— I don't get any choice of the next 24 picks, and I just have to get lucky that the position available is there for me. Whereas if I kind of go running back, wide receiver, take one of each. The next time you come back around, you have more flexibility to take what's left on the board.

00:20:39

All right. So you took Brock Bowers. Brooksie takes Kyren. So he has started with 2 running backs, then Breece Hall, then Jeremiah Love. That puts me back on the clock, trying to pull up my rankings here and see who is left at the wide receiver position. This is the area where you got to Kind of start figuring out, are you willing to go on Malik Nabers? I had all of my chips in on Malik. Did not like the press conference of the, I'll play when I'm ready. I mean, I know he's just, you know, kind of up there talking openly, but I thought, I thought we were going to be ready for week 1 here, Mr. Malik Nabers. At running back, Javonte Cam Scadaboo, Travis Achane Jr. Those, that's kind of the top of the ADP list for the running back position. But I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to take Chris Olave to go with AJ Brown. So 2 wide receivers, 1 running back. Matthew Betts right after me takes Malik Nabers. Trey McBride follows that up. Papa Josh takes Ladd McConkey right in front of Andy because of course this is what Papa Josh has to do.

00:21:51

Andy, you're on the clock. You have 2 wide receivers. You got JSN and Justin Jefferson.

00:21:55

Yeah. I mean, I get that Ladd was his my guy, but given that he's got 2 wide receivers, I would imagine you're looking not at wide receivers.

00:22:01

It's DeAndre Swift. I'm taking DeAndre Swift.

00:22:03

Oh my goodness. In the 3rd?

00:22:05

Yeah. I mean, we don't have an on guy to start the season. I like the pass catching prowess.

00:22:08

Well, he's week to week, Andy. Yeah.

00:22:10

Well, there's 1 week until football. So no, I think DeAndre Swift right now, especially early season, will be a steal. Jameson, or sorry, Javonte does go next, then Rice, McMillan, Waddle, and Ibuka. Colston Loveland off the board at the 4.03, and I am going running back again. I'm taking Ja'Darian Price.

00:22:28

That's, that's really high ADP-wise for him. I had him flagged to come to me at the 4.12. This is where he's going to go in drafts. He's not going to fall to where his normal ADP is. I think people are realizing the situation for a first-round back is pretty bad. pretty perfect on a rookie that could be something special. You don't know. So I don't, I don't mind that at all. Taking Swift and Price there. Yeah, I think you're off to a decent start.

00:22:52

There are rumors that we'll hear more about J'Darien Price on tomorrow's episode of the show, not from me, but from somebody else. Swift and Price at running backs, JSN and Jefferson as my wide receivers, Flowers, Wilson, Higgins. And then Mike is back on the clock.

00:23:08

I am back.

00:23:09

AJ Brown and Olave.

00:23:10

Yep. At the running back position, Skadaboo is still there. Skadaboo is starting to feel— Jay, where are you with Skadaboo?

00:23:22

Yeah, no, I mean—

00:23:23

Because my risk is starting to feel worse.

00:23:26

I think that he is an elite talent. I really do. I think he's a headache for this team and I don't know that Harbaugh loves him. I think that this is a—

00:23:37

we do have a clip that just came out. We haven't been able to watch. It got shared in here. It's Scadaboo talking to Kay Adams. And the headline is Scadaboo considered retiring after the season-ending injury. I have to watch to get all the full context.

00:23:51

Speaking on Up and Adams, Scadaboo said he told himself in college that he would retire if suffering a major injury.

00:23:57

Well, he lied because he suffered a major injury and he has not retired. No, I mean, it's not just the injury. Obviously you've got Judkins and Scadaboo coming off of the injury. Scadaboo on a better timeline and he's, he's been doing stuff for a long time. He says he's fully, you know, we talked to him in New York and he said he was fully good to go. He could land, he overflipped on his backflip, yada, yada. I think I'm more scared of the situation on a coaching and opportunity standpoint.

00:24:25

Are we scared of Najee?

00:24:28

I'm scared of Nagy. You said it almost.

00:24:30

Oh, okay.

00:24:31

I mean, I get it. We shouldn't be scared of, of the competition there.

00:24:36

Cam Scadaboo shouldn't have to be.

00:24:38

Cam Scadaboo is significantly better than those— this version of Najee and Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary. I, I would like to have Scadaboo on my team, but I would like him to be like my running back 3.

00:24:54

Yeah, I get it. So quarterback-wise, it's still just Josh Allen off the board. Baby Jake, we'll let you sit in the fact that you did that. At the wide receiver position, top of ADP would be DJ Moore, Terry McLaurin. Davante Adams is there. But look, we're in the, we're in the 4th. I don't know that the mock draft has, has really unveiled itself. where I've been able to do this. Luther Burden, baby. Luther. Finally, finally it worked out. Luther Burden is on the squad. He joins AJ Brown and Chris Olave. After I take Luther goes DJ Moore, Travis Achane Jr., David Montgomery goes to Brooks. He's pretty high T over there. Jason, you're at the turn. You are back on the clock.

00:25:43

We're back on the Scadaboo conversation. This would be my running back 2, not my running back 3, which I would prefer. But There is a tier break here. It really— Bucky Irving is going to be such a fascinating story this year. Everything in preseason, everything in camp has been that Kenny Gainwell is super involved and is kind of taking the passing work where while Bucky is doing all of the primary running duties. So that'll be interesting to unfold. There's also, you know, you look at ADP and you see Josh Jacobs there. Obviously that's not happening.

00:26:16

No.

00:26:16

But when you see Josh Jacobs there, you've got to ask yourself what you're doing with Marshawn Lloyd or with the Green Bay Packer running back situation.

00:26:22

That is a good tip of let Josh Jacobs be the reminder for your, your Marshawn Lloyd ADP of, because this is a, I mean, I don't want to speak for you, Jay, but it's like we're at the point where someone's probably going to draft Marshawn Lloyd pretty soon. So you're at the turn. If you were a Lloyd believer, you would have to do it right here.

00:26:42

I couldn't draft him over Scadaboo, Bucky Irving, some of those guys that, you know, we're still betting on a super fragile guy. I mean, I know the whole injury problem. I was talking to Mike off, you know, outside of the studio before. I was like, my top 10 tips and tricks or the things to remember episode at the end of this year, I'm going to look back at Jonathan Brooks and Marshawn Lloyd and Kendre Miller and I'm going to I'm going to just going to see, was it like, oh, we should have known or hey, there is no such thing as a drip run. I'm going to take Cam Scadaboo. At this point, he represents kind of a tier for the rest of the running backs. And then at wide receiver, I would take Jameson Williams. Like that's who I want to take, but I've got Gibbs. I don't want to do the wide receiver running back thing. And I'm, I'm more and more and more I'm more and more bullish on Davante Adams. The old man has been rising to me. So I think, I think he's going to have a really successful season.

00:27:46

The only worry I have with Adams is at his age, if an injury happens, it will be, you know, it's always got the peptide protocols in place. I hope so, man.

00:27:57

I hope so.

00:27:58

Who doesn't?

00:27:59

Davante Adams, Jameson Williams, Tyler Warren, Rome Odunze, all guys that had my eye on this round. Mike, you're back on the clock.

00:28:08

I, now I'm down bad in terms of just overall strategy. As I'm, I mean, I could keep going with the hero RB build.

00:28:18

Yeah.

00:28:18

Baysal, I mean, if I'm taking a running back, look at you, it's like Bucky, Trevo, Baysal, Tootin. I would be taking Tootin. However, Christian Watson is still here in round 5. I would, he would be on my bench if I am drafting him.

00:28:35

Because you have 3 wide receivers already.

00:28:37

Correct. So I've already filled my 2 wide receiver spots and the flex position. Oh, that is brutal. I had my eye on possibly going Tyler Warren, but Kyle snagged him.

00:28:50

You also in the 5th round here have your choice of the quarterbacks, all quarterbacks, not Josh Allen.

00:28:56

So I do love Lamar. This, like, I'm, I'm, I'm in a full forgiveness of last year for Lamar. I think he's going to be solid.

00:29:06

But, oh, Mike can't. He has no idea what he's doing.

00:29:09

No, I do.

00:29:10

I do. Why don't you tell us?

00:29:12

I'm taking— the but was because of AJ Brown was I have AJ Brown and I can have the Drake May AJ Brown stack. I don't feel like I overpaid for Drake May. And even though I'm still riding with just one Running back. Yeah. I feel all right with it.

00:29:28

Interesting. Not even tempted by Bucky there, huh?

00:29:31

I told you, man. I'm just like, I, I don't want Bucky. I don't want to draft Bucky.

00:29:37

Well, you did exactly what you're supposed to do when you don't want somebody.

00:29:40

I feel like at this point when you're in the middle of the 5th round, Bucky is—

00:29:45

Oh, he's about to be on my team. But we'll take a break first. After Drake Maye, Christian Watson off the board. Mike can't get him. 4 wide receivers for Betsy.

00:30:01

I know he went to a good home.

00:30:03

Well, yeah, I don't know. He went to a non-starting home.

00:30:05

It doesn't matter.

00:30:06

I mean, that's how he stays safe.

00:30:08

Me and Bets are Watson bros.

00:30:10

So Quinshon Judkins and Tootin. I have 3 wide receivers I'm in love with at this spot. I have a quick turn. So I'm going to pull the trigger on Bucky Irving here. And I mean, getting Swift, Price, Bucky Irving, 3, 4, 5. I have hero wide receivers with Jameson and Jefferson.

00:30:26

You have a very strong start.

00:30:27

I am very happy. Carnell Tate, Lamar Jackson, Trevo, Lloyd, and Rhamondre. Both wide receivers I wanted made it through.

00:30:39

What a turn there. Travion Henderson and Marshawn Lloyd. I mean, to stack those 2 guys together is like, and Rhamondre, what could be?

00:30:49

Well, I, I want you guys to help me decide this pick.

00:30:52

All right.

00:30:53

It's between a player that I think is going to have a humongous season and outkick his ADP in Marvin Harrison Jr., who, you know, it would be a little bit ahead of his ADP, but in this draft, I got a long wait. It would be here. And Parker Washington, who I continue to believe in the drumbeat. I believe in the fact that he could be the premier one on this team at this point. I'm not worried about Jacoby. BTJ, I feel like the route tree, the utilization is going to be minimal. It'll be big plays and nothing else. And so I would say PPR versus more upside.

00:31:29

Yeah. I mean, I guess I would default to obviously with those 2 players, some of it has to be what do you believe? Sounds like you believe in both. You believe the, the bowl case. I believe in both for both options. In which case, if you think both are good wide receivers, who's got the better environment? Who's, you know, who's on the better offense? I, you know, that should be an easy one. Is that hat doing things to the brain?

00:31:58

Of you saying which one's the better offense?

00:32:00

Which one's the better offense? I mean, Vegas projections at the very least.

00:32:04

We did just draft the— our— what we believe will be the best offensive line.

00:32:08

I didn't think Jacksonville belonged in that top 12.

00:32:10

Right. But Arizona's name was not even mentioned.

00:32:13

Arizona, I believe, is 3rd to last in projected points.

00:32:16

I understand.

00:32:16

I just—

00:32:17

it's a priority of like, okay, it's environment. But I think Marvin Harrison is very much the better red zone threat. I think he is More secure in the target share than Parker Washington. I don't know what it's going to be like in Jacksonville this year. And I trust Jacoby Brissett to get the ball to him. I mean, if you saw the numbers, if you heard the numbers from the live show, I know that was bold predictions episode. If Marvin Harrison gets 7 or more targets a game, his average fantasy points per game is 16.8. So you look at the offense, a healthy Marvin Harrison.

00:32:54

I'm still a believer in Marvin Harrison. Marvin Harrison and Rome Odunze are 2 guys that I have kind of, I feel like, been an idiot on according to the world because I still think that they're good players and that they're going to show that the reason they were drafted top 10 in the NFL is because of that. Most people don't believe that, which is why you're getting Marvin Harrison in the 6th round.

00:33:17

I mean, to me, what better place alongside JSN and Jefferson for Marvin Harrison. Parker goes next. Jonathan Brooks, Joe Burrow. Mike, you're back on the clock.

00:33:25

Man, Joe Burrow at the 6.07 to stack with Tee Higgins is a tremendous value. So I mean, some are— not all of our drafts have gone this way. The elite quarterbacks have been ADP-wise going a bit later. But so it's just a— make sure you're fully paying attention while your draft is going that you don't have You're not just locked into such a plan that you don't even flip over to that quarterback tab because that is outrageous to me to get Burrow there. Let's see, looking at the wide receivers, there's no one, no one really spectacular standing out to me. I mean, Terry McLaurin here could serve as a huge value. I have a shorter turn, so I got 8 picks in between my next one. But I don't know what these clowns are going to do and I don't really want to risk J.K. Dobbins. So I'm going to take him here at the 6.08. RB2. Yeah, he is my running back too. And he, maybe he's not the full season guy for the Denver Broncos. I've mentioned Jonah Coleman kind of, he scares me far more than RJ Harvey does, but at least be at the beginning of the year.

00:34:36

I feel pretty strong that it will be Dobbins. Mike Evans goes after that. We have a little wide receiver run. Mike Evans, Terry McLaurin, Michael Wilson goes to Brooks. Jason, the turn, you are up.

00:34:49

I'm a little sad. I was going to, if, if Kyborg did not pull the trigger there on Terry McLaurin, I was going to do something that I haven't.

00:34:57

You were going to go McLaurin Daniels?

00:34:58

I was going to go McLaurin Daniels despite the fears that we have in the Washington Commanders.

00:35:02

Love them 30-year-old wide receivers.

00:35:04

Well, you got DeVonta in the 7th round. Sure. I, you know, the fears we have with the Commanders offense are legitimate. legitimate. But at the same time, you have to look at the bull case whenever you're drafting. It's—

00:35:16

Kyle will be drafting Jayden Daniels.

00:35:18

Probably.

00:35:20

I mean, just strategically, that would be the move to go for.

00:35:23

So for me, I'm sitting here and I'm like, okay, I can take a quarterback of my choice. But at the turn, there's nobody that is like— if Burrow had got to me, obviously I would have pulled the trigger there. I think there's a tier break to all the rest of them. There's no stack that I am especially in love with. So I'm going to take, again, I'm going to look at the bull case. What is the highest upside potential outcome for certain players? I'll take Brian Thomas. I don't think that, like, I don't project him to be the one, but obviously we know what he can do on the NFL field. He's been a top 10 wide receiver in the past and the best predictor of future success is past success. And then I'm stuck here. basically feeling like at the turn, if I don't take a running back here as my RB3, it's going to be nothing left. I've experienced it in every draft. So my hand is forced right now to take a running back and I'm going to pull the trigger on Jaylen Warren. The question of the Steelers backfield, I know you guys are on the Rico side.

00:36:26

I'm on the Warren side.

00:36:27

I'm just always on the Rico side.

00:36:28

Yes. That's, that's a contractual obligation for you, Mike.

00:36:33

He does pay me well.

00:36:34

Yes. No matter where he goes, you're on the Rico side. But as a 7th round RB3, you know, you got to take the shot on those ambiguous backfields.

00:36:45

After— so Jason takes Jaylen Warren. We had multi-quarterbacks go. Jaylen Hurts followed by Jayden Daniels. You know, the, the players— we just talked Daniels yesterday— of players I'm afraid to be wrong about in the in the fact of over-stating, over-projecting Jayden Daniels in the 7th round is— that's, that's truly a ridiculous value. Baby Jake took RJ Harvey. And then I am back on the clock. It's a pretty easy pick for me here. I will take the man, the myth, the legend. He's recovering from an ACL. I don't care. 7th rounder, Tucker Kraft. Come on down, baby.

00:37:25

I've been very anti-Tucker Kraft in all of my drafts. The difference between Tucker Kraft in the 5th and Tucker Kraft in the 7th.

00:37:36

What was that?

00:37:37

Tucker crap.

00:37:38

Oh, I didn't hear that. I heard crap.

00:37:40

I heard crack. It's massive. I mean, and you say, well, it's just a couple rounds.

00:37:46

So that's pretty rough.

00:37:46

But you look at like who you would have been giving up is a Roma Dunze, a Judkins. Like, that's why I can't possibly take Kraft over those guys.

00:37:57

That feels like an easy Tucker Kraft over those 2 names.

00:38:00

Well, okay. Okay. How about Christian Watson?

00:38:02

Okay. That's way—

00:38:03

Exactly. But that's my point. You would have, you would have been taking Kraft over, over Watson, which I would not do that a couple rounds ago. But here you're taking them over, over, you know, backups.

00:38:15

Rico Dowdle goes at 7.06. And then the guy I thought I would easily get in the 8th, Alec Pierce goes at 7.07, taken away from me. Harold Fannon. And then I went De'Jon Stribling at the 7.09.

00:38:26

It's what you're going to have to do.

00:38:27

For the 49ers, Chuba Mason, Quentin Johnston, Josh Downs, Blake Corum, and then Caleb, my, my guy. I had a group of basically 5 quarterbacks I was kind of waiting to decide between. Caleb, Jayden, they both went. I'm trying to decide here. Do I, want to just like let the quarterback position go. I still have some names way later that I'm okay with.

00:38:55

I mean, there's still— so let's see.

00:38:57

I mean, Dak is the one that stands out.

00:38:59

You can stack with Brissett.

00:39:03

I feel like I could do that maybe a little bit later. Man, maybe I don't go either of those positions.

00:39:10

I mean, you're at the point now. So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. So we have 7, 7 of the 12 teams have their quarterback and the names left is Herbert, Dak, Lawrence. If you're in on the upside of Dart, Bo Nix, this is the hard part of taking the, even if you're getting an elite quarterback at a value, when I'm seeing especially guys like Dak be available in the 8th round, it's, that's tough.

00:39:38

Yeah. I thought about Dak. I went Casey, Concepcion. I'm going rookie, rookie here. Stribling, Concepcion. It's a strategy. I often employ. I like taking shots at the most talented, highest upside, highest target share rookies late in drafts. So Stribling, Concepcion, both players I think will have a fantasy impact in year 1. Sutton, Golden, LaPorta, and Mike back on the clock. You have your onesies already. You're filling out the depth.

00:40:03

Yeah, we're looking at filling out the team here. I got again 8 picks between this one and the next one. Do I possibly risk someone sniping DK Metcalf in between my next pick. I'd be pretty devastated if it happened, but I think it's probably the best thing to do for my team. So whatever you guys do, don't draft DK Metcalf. I'm going to take—

00:40:29

oh man.

00:40:30

I'm going to take the upside of Bill Crosby.

00:40:34

I know how much you like Metcalf, so I hope he gets back.

00:40:36

Oh my gosh, please. Please.

00:40:39

I mean, Metcalf is a wide receiver 1 that nobody wants to touch, which is impossible to believe after last year.

00:40:48

I mean, do we, do we look at the situation of last year where it was Aaron Rodgers? It was DK Metcalf. The hugest or the largest difference would be Mike McCarthy and a different offensive scheme. Do we believe that that will be the difference between last year's DK Metcalf, which was borderline unplayable for the majority of the season? Do we think it corrects itself?

00:41:12

Yeah, I mean, it could, but that's not the only change, right? Michael Pittman joining the team is also a negative for DK Metcalf. Now Pittman's been hurt most of camp. If you watched Aaron Rodgers talk about him recently, he was, he didn't seem very, he's like, it is what it is. He hasn't been here.

00:41:29

So he was talking on Pittman soft.

00:41:31

Seemed like it, man. He just seemed frustrated about the fact that, look, we haven't been able to work on it. And this is a player new to the team. And you know how Aaron Rodgers gets with like, if he can rely on you.

00:41:43

With kings.

00:41:44

Yeah. So.

00:41:45

With strangers.

00:41:46

I think Metcalf is a good pick. I'm sitting here going Metcalf or Mekhi Lemon.

00:41:50

Oh, don't. No, Jay.

00:41:52

I'm not taking Metcalf. I am going to take Mekhi Lemon and Dak Prescott.

00:41:55

I like the new bit. It's buying yourself one pushdown pick.

00:42:00

Dak Prescott, cheap Joe Burrow a couple rounds later in the 8th. I love Mekhi Lemon is what Andy just talked about. He's got Stribling. He's got Concepcion. The truth is highly drafted first round wide receivers get on the field usually earlier. So I'll take, I'll take a shot at a first round NFL wide receiver. Yeah.

00:42:24

That's a—

00:42:25

did you want Lemon?

00:42:27

No, I just wanted you guys to take DK Metcalf.

00:42:29

Oh, because you're sitting here saying, how do I pass on Metcalf?

00:42:31

Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Passing on, I mean, yeah.

00:42:35

Just out of curiosity, Mike, Metcalf or Josh Jacobs?

00:42:39

DK Metcalf.

00:42:40

Okay.

00:42:40

Just checking.

00:42:41

Kyle just took Jacobs in the 9th.

00:42:44

Okay. Okay. Whatever, man. At this point, Gonna, yeah, and just set your 9th round pick on fire. That's fine. At this point, you know, where it's like not everything is, is hunky-dory. I want to peek real quick at the rookies, just turning that little rookie button on. Jordan Tyson is there. I think that is— I do have Olave, but Jordan Tyson at this point to go onto my IR is in fact what I'm going to do. I'm not going to— I feel strong that someone would have grabbed him on this turn here. So I will, I'll take Tyson. I'll stash him and hope that when he comes back, everything is great.

00:43:23

Metcalf, Diggs, Herbert. I am back on the clock again. I have enough depth at wide receiver or sorry, I have lots of depth at wide receiver. Not as much at running back. There are some names I really love trying to figure out what these guys are going to do.

00:43:36

But I, wow. So we have, I have quarterbacks that I'm fine with here. We have 3 teams without a quarterback.

00:43:42

Yeah. Most of them have tight ends as well. There's 3 without tight ends and I have multiple tight ends I really like at this juncture. So I think this might be the first mock draft I kick those to my final 2 picks and I'm going to take, I'm going to go back to back to back rookies. I'm taking Chris Bell, wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, who I want to draw attention to in this final mock draft.

00:44:03

All right.

00:44:03

Stribling conception on Chris Bell. And I'm heavy at the wide receiver position. Addison, Likely, Nix, Kincaid, people closing out their onesie positions. Both Likely and Kincaid were under consideration, obviously.

00:44:19

I am fascinated with the Chris Bell via Caleb Douglas competition for Miami.

00:44:27

Chris Bell is back. He missed all of training camp though.

00:44:31

Yes. And while Caleb Douglas, their higher drafted They took him first, right? Caleb Douglas over Chris Bell. Look that up. I want to be accurate on that.

00:44:42

Oh, because of the kickback on it. To me, it's not a competition. Chris Bell's going to—

00:44:46

But Caleb Douglas has just been dominating all offseason. Every report was great. So I'm just curious how that starts week 1. Does Chris Bell go from not a part of the offense?

00:44:57

I haven't seen that. I saw the one catch that got a lot of notoriety, but I haven't seen a lot of Yeah. Positive Douglas.

00:45:03

There's a lot of, a lot of drumbeat for him.

00:45:05

Interesting. All right. I'm going to take Juwan Johnson as my tight end in the 10th round here.

00:45:12

Woody Marks goes next. B-Cat takes Jackson Dart.

00:45:16

Oh man. Dart in the 10th.

00:45:19

It's the, it's the gamble of the, of the quarterback. I felt like I got very good value for Drake Maye in the 5th. But then the scattering of quarterbacks late, it's tough. It's tough to know if you did the right thing. Jackson Dart goes. Rashad White goes after that. I am back on the clock. My wide receiver crew, I really only have the 3. So I'm going to peek at that. We got Jayden Reed. We got a soft Michael Pittman. Wandale is there. He should see a bunch of targets. Man, Romeo Doubs is the name that stands out, but do I really want AJ Brown and Romeo Doubs here on my team? Man, I'm not feeling really strong about any of these wide receivers. So just, I have one more pick after this. I am going to do the thing of, look, some of you, I have my priors. I still believe in them. But sometimes you got to be like, maybe I'm, I'm not locked in completely on the situation. So I'm going to take Chris Rodriguez.

00:46:29

He's on my shortlist.

00:46:30

I figured he would go for sure. So in the event, maybe I'm wrong about Tuten. Like you got to be willing to, to do those things. And then with a 10th round pick, that's very low investment.

00:46:41

Yeah. I think you, you have to be open. I love that the way you describe it. You've got your priors and you've got your opinions, but you recognize that there's not 100% hit rate on our, on anyone's opinions. So the situation to potentially get the, you know, the more valuable back in Chris Rodriguez in the top of the rounds.

00:47:01

I don't think it will be, but it definitely could be.

00:47:03

Yeah. Not a bad pick. I would have taken him had he gotten to me. Wandale goes next, Aaron Jones, and then Romeo Doubs was a player I really wanted to get to me. Brooks grabs him one pick ahead of me. I think at this point in a draft, Getting the wide receiver 2 for a really great offense who they, they did pay a significant amount of money to is a, is a good value. So now I'm sitting here looking, I'm going to take one running back, one wide receiver. I'm looking for just potential wacky high upside. Like there's Tyler Allgeier there. Maybe you've got a week 1 starter, but I think as the season goes on, he gets less and less valuable. So I'm at wide receiver. I'm between Michael Pittman and Caleb Douglas. You know, the shot of the rookie wide receiver for the Dolphins or the vet. I'm going to go with the data. Caleb Douglas not being a first-round wide receiver. Also the Dolphins not being a great offense franchise in 2026. I'll take Michael Pittman, put a veteran on, on my team.

00:48:07

I feel like going in on a player Aaron Rodgers already doesn't like.

00:48:11

Yeah, no, I, I like Pittman. I think that he's— I get it. It's a 10th round pick. And so that completed my draft. Michael Pittman was my last pick.

00:48:21

The 11th round did start though, Jay.

00:48:22

Oh, did it start with Tyler Allgeier with Brooks? I believe it did.

00:48:27

No, the other— you took a guy. You took a guy.

00:48:31

Say nothing.

00:48:32

Caleb Johnson.

00:48:33

No, I didn't. I would never. I would never. I would never have hope. I would never dream. I would never dare to dream. I don't want to get hurt again.

00:48:46

Jason, the people have to know. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. How strong are your actual real dreams?

00:48:56

They are genuinely so weak.

00:48:59

They are— It's but a whisper?

00:49:01

It's but a whisper. It's so deep down and dark and hidden inside that It's some, somewhere it's really bright, but it's so far away. But it was enough for me to take him in the 11th.

00:49:11

All right. You took Caleb Johnson. Tyler Allgeier goes. Kyle takes Keenan Allen, which of course I should have seen that coming. Then it is Tank Dell. My final decision, I would look with all this Chris Bell, Caleb Douglas talk. I mean, Malik Washington has been a, like he is a veteran. I think he is. I think he starts the season as the number 1. Is he good enough to hold on to that position? That's the bet for if you want to draft the rookies. But I was between Keenan Allen and Malik Washington here for my final pick. I'm just going to scroll the wide receivers and double check. I mean, Xavier Worthy, Jacoby Lane is a fun rookie for Baltimore with upside. But I just, I'm going to take the chance. I'm going to take the chance that Malik Washington's like a 5, 6 reception per week type of guy. Tank Bigsby goes. Malachi Fields goes to B-Cat. I think that's solid. Papa Josh takes Cyrus Allen, loves himself some 5th round backups. Andy, back on the clock.

00:50:18

Malik Willis.

00:50:20

As your quarterback 1. So you completed the stack.

00:50:24

The very underrated Chris Bell Malik Willis stack.

00:50:27

That's right.

00:50:29

Malik Willis is 100% worth it at this.

00:50:31

Like, I could have taken Trevor Lawrence, Tyler Shuttlesworth, Jared Goff, Jordan Love, Brock Purdy.

00:50:37

I would have taken Trevor Lawrence, but I get it. You're trying, you're shooting for the moon taking Malik Willis. Jonah Coleman goes—

00:50:45

Go Dolphins.

00:50:48

I mean, you are a fan of Dolphins.

00:50:48

I wish I had a Dolphins sound effect. Thank you.

00:50:53

That was a very— That was not a good Dolphin.

00:50:55

That was a seal. That was for the San Diego Seals. You want to try again?

00:51:00

I don't. I don't. I think my voice right now can't— How about the Falcon? Oh yeah.

00:51:06

Hey!

00:51:07

We found what you can do!

00:51:08

We found the thing you can do!

00:51:09

Dude! Good job, Biz!

00:51:12

Are you freaking kidding me?

00:51:13

Don't, don't, don't talk.

00:51:14

I didn't know I had that in me. Don't, no, no, you— that was outstanding.

00:51:17

Leave on a W.

00:51:19

Secret talents. What a dolphin sound effect guy.

00:51:23

I feel like that added like 2 points a game to Malik Willis's numbers this year.

00:51:27

Jonah Coleman, Jacoby Lane, and then Jayden Reed is the last pick of the draft.

00:51:32

Oh my gosh.

00:51:33

My team, I got James Cook, J.K. Dobbins, Bill Crosby, and Krott are my running backs. AJ Brown, Chris Olave, Luther Burden, Jordan Tyson will be on the IR, and then Malik Washington at wide receiver. Tucker Kraft and Drake Maye are my onesies.

00:51:48

I started with Jahmyr Gibbs, Jalen Warren, and Caleb Johnson. And Cam Scadaboo at running back. And then I've got Drake London, Davante Adams, Brian Thomas Jr., Mekhi Lemon, and Michael Pittman at wide receiver with Brock Bowers and Dak Prescott at my onesies.

00:52:05

JSN, Jefferson, Harrison, Stribling, Concepcion, and Bell. Powerful wide receiver core. Swift, Price, Irving holding up my running backs with Juwan Johnson and Malik Willis, future MVP of the league.

Wait, hold up.

00:53:32

Matt, post it in here. Don't just say things like that.

00:53:35

What happened?

00:53:35

I'm working on it.

00:53:36

Michael Wilson, 3-year extension.

00:53:37

Hold.

00:53:38

Well, now that's not how the show works.

00:53:40

Man, you should have stopped on the fly there.

00:53:42

That's not how—

00:53:42

that's not what he's saying. That's not how the show works. You do this.

00:53:45

Now, breaking news.

00:53:48

Now report that, but like a dolphin, boy.

00:53:53

Like a dolphin.

00:53:55

Oh, he's trying.

00:53:56

He's trying hard. Come on, Keith. You can do it. He can't get it out. He can't.

00:54:03

Come on.

00:54:03

We believe in you.

00:54:04

He's starting so strong.

00:54:05

I'm done.

00:54:06

What happened?

00:54:06

All right.

00:54:08

Oh, he gave up.

00:54:09

Schmadam. Schmadam's Schmechter, beat reporter I will not name. Cardinals reached agreement Wednesday. So I guess it happened yet. The agreement happened yesterday with Michael Wilson. It will be a 3-year extension. He's expected to sign today. So we don't have the money yet.

00:54:24

I love that this morning, the first thing I read on Twitter this morning was Michael Wilson will bet on himself and not sign an extension with the Cardinals this year. Except he'd already agreed to it. Bunch of liars out there.

00:54:37

Oh, also, hey, this is really important. This is such an important PSA for the Foot Clan. When you see headlines, we talk about it, click in, find out what the article is.

00:54:50

Oh my gosh.

00:54:50

There was a situation yesterday. The last couple days. Or was it just yesterday?

00:54:54

Maybe the last couple.

00:54:55

I forget who it was.

00:54:56

No, we won't. We won't.

00:54:58

Someone put out— no, I'm saying the person who wrote the 32-bowl predictions article. Totally normal thing. We had a bowl predictions episode. They're fun. They're great. great avenue to explore what could be. But that's all it is. It's like, and a bold prediction is you're trying to say something that is most likely not going to happen.

00:55:17

It's going to grab attention.

00:55:18

It's going to grab attention. Every single outlet out there.

00:55:23

Like this one. Talk about a bold prediction. Marv is finally good.

00:55:26

There's a bold prediction.

00:55:27

Not likely, but might happen.

00:55:29

But finally, but as Michael Wilson signs his agreement.

00:55:32

This bold prediction article, every single like blurb news outlet that breaks news, all of them grabbed different pieces from this bold news and was like, oh, this player's going to, you know, it's going to be a 1A for Blake Corum. For Blake Corum. Or there were tons of different examples of this. And it's like, guys, this is not news or journalism. You're getting, you're just reading a headline and thinking, oh my gosh, I am, I am so in the know. No, you are hoodwinked.

00:56:02

Well, and it's like a double thing because other people write articles about it. So it's like 2 layers deep, right?

00:56:08

Yeah.

00:56:08

It's not just that person promoting the bold predictions. It would be like, I mean, what was one of the bold predictions on our live show? I mean, like the Marv one. But I mean, if you say something, yours were, what were your 2?

00:56:21

Well, I had 3. Don't forget about Rhamondre in week 2.

00:56:25

Oh yeah.

00:56:25

Quarter 2. Oh, you did that, sir.

00:56:29

That was, that was one of the worst things.

00:56:31

But like, you know, you wouldn't report that as news.

00:56:34

You wouldn't report Rhamondre is going to be injured during this, at this timestamp of a game, which is something that is so out of bounds for this show.

00:56:42

It is out of bounds.

00:56:44

But when we do wrap up, for just a second, I thought maybe I was rooting for you and Caleb Johnson.

00:56:49

Wrap up, we're saying it's $47 million guaranteed for Michael Wilson.

00:56:54

Michael Wilson is a very, very—

00:56:55

Brother.

00:56:56

He's a very good player.

00:56:57

I'm not, I'm not doubting.

00:56:58

And you got to pay the tax.

00:56:59

It's just wild.

00:57:00

Cardinal tax.

00:57:01

He was not good for—

00:57:05

He was always good. He was not used. He was not productive.

00:57:09

But will he be productive and used this year? It's a big question.

00:57:12

Yeah. Get that money, brother.

00:57:13

I mean, this is, this isn't Alec Pierce money. You know what I mean?

00:57:16

Right.

00:57:17

So it's below Flowers, below Pierce, but—

00:57:22

But it's also 47 guaranteed.

00:57:25

I mean, wide receivers make money.

00:57:26

Good for you, man.

00:57:28

I mean, there is still not as much guaranteed as your rookie running back though.

00:57:32

I just, I, the only good thing I'm going to say about the Cardinals this offseason is the fact that they have really, really good pieces on offense. When you, it is easy to look 2 years into the future with a quarterback draft pick. Like where else would you want to go?

00:57:47

Yeah.

00:57:47

You have a LaFleur at your head coach and then you have, you'll have a new GM. You have Harrison. Wilson, McBride, and Jeremiah Love, who could— I mean, you made the comment about Jeremiah Love in the mock draft about where you could— I think you were looking at him, Jason. There is an absolute world where everybody's an idiot on not taking Jeremiah Love in the top 8 picks of this draft within 3 weeks of the season. I think that's an actual possibility.

00:58:14

Sure.

00:58:15

The Cardinals are going to throw the ball to their running back all the time. We're going to be down by a million points. And this dude just 6 yards every time he touches the football. If he's healthy, you know, Conner's not healthy. Allgeier has not been a problem for Bijan being a top 5 back. And I think Love is maybe a better talent than Bijan is. I mean, you talked about the preseason scouting coming into the league. Jeremiah Love, you know, Mike, you've said it. He came in as a better prospect.

00:58:46

Yeah. He's my favorite prospect in the recent history.

00:58:51

Yeah, I think it's— just remember how fast the NFL changes. We highlighted it when we did our mock draft offense show where you go from top 10 offense to bottom offense. So you can be the worst team in football and have a pretty productive offense. I thought the Cardinals would do it.

00:59:07

That felt decently hot takey to me because I wouldn't have put him above Bijan, but I was just curious what the Felix model said. And so the Felix model scored the number 1 all-time was Gibbs, then Ezekiel Elliott, and then it's Jeremiah Love.

00:59:22

That sounds fine to me.

00:59:24

That's above then Saquon, right? That's above.

00:59:27

It went Bijan next and Barkley, McCaffrey is rounding out the top 6.

00:59:31

Yeah. So I mean, it's just something that these are every year we have 10 things that about 5 weeks into the season we go, oh, duh. Oh, that's odd. I think, I think Love is at least in contention for that. So Mike said it, big show tomorrow, MVP episode. And then next week, the countdown to football time.

00:59:50

It's a time that will be had.

00:59:53

Goodbye.
