Transcript of ALL-STAR GAME SNUBS and How the NBA Selects Who Makes the Teams
The Pad Bev PodcastThe PepF pod with Ron. Ron. Another addition. Bonus style, N1. We're calling this the N1 episode, bro. You've got your episode, but we also have the Val, N1. I like that. Because there's stuff we need to talk about.
You know what I mean? We need to discuss.
The All-Star Game rosters have broken, and it's almost like this year, this needs to be talked about more than ever. Because I'll jump right out and say it. I think that there's a chance that if you put together a team of people that got snubbed from the All-Star Game, they might beat a team of the All-Stars.
Okay, let's go down. Let's take our time, right? Because it's a lot of fans out there that they look at different things with basketball. There's a lot of fans that might not know a lot about the inside and what comes with the NBA. So let's start.
Can I read the full rosters first? The people who did make it.
Did make it. Let's go East.
East, we have Yana Santentecunpo, Jalen Brunson, Jason Tatum, Donovan Mitchell, and Carl Anthony Towns. That's your all Our starters right there. Pretty good.
Really good. Let's keep going.
The reserves, Jalen Brown, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, Tyler Hero, So Pascal Siakam, Cade Cunningham, and Dame Lillard. And that's our reserves right there. So at a first glance, what you notice, two Knicks starting, three calves on the team.
Which how was when Atlanta, back in the day, when they had the best record during that time, whether they had success in the playoffs or not. But when they had the best record, they took three guys on their team Man, they took- Four. Yeah, and Kyle Corver was in a three-point contest, so four.
So that's how I understand- Kyle Corver made the squad, dude. It was Al Horford, Jeff Teague, Kyle Corver- Paul Milsapp. And Paul Millsap. They all were all-stars, not even like Three-point competition. But, bro, they all actually made the squad. So three, you could say that they give the best team in the East the biggest bite at it, and they got three because they're the best team in the East. Second best team in the East, the Celtics have two guys on there.
And so what people need to understand when it comes to all-star voting, you have to give some type of respect. First, if you're the first seed in the East or West, your coach is going. His coaching staff is going. Everyone's dream, right? First year coach, not a first year coach, but you with a new team, it's your first year. You probably have some people on your staff that's probably never coached before. So now you have this whole new staff. First year, they go into the All-Star Game, which is well deserved because they're the number seed. At the same time, if I'm on a team and we're the number one seed, and regardless of what my numbers say, regardless of what my numbers say, if I average 10 or I average 15, we're the number one seed in the NBA. It should be three, four people that go.
Yeah. It's hard to argue with any of those. One thing that I will sneakily argue with is I wouldn't have hated it if Darius Garland was the starting guard over Donovan Mitchell. Is that crazy to say?
Yeah, that's crazy.
Okay. Tell me why.
Because I think you have to go impact on a team when you go to starters also. And I think you have to go position Jalen Brunson. That's true.
He's a one Jonathan Mitchell is a two.
Now, let's go to Snub from Eastern Conference, and let's work backwards.
Okay, so I'm going to give you one who people are saying a snub, and I will say, You cannot argue this man should have made the All-Star Game. He is not a snub. This is He's a definite not snub for me. Josh Hart. People are saying Josh Hart should have made it. Josh Hart should make the All-Star game. Josh Hart is averaging what? Like 15 to 9 or something like that. There's other Knicks who are in the starting lineup. I know Josh Hart is a great hustle player. He's so likable. He's a great media personality. He's an incredible rebounder. He's not an all-star. That's not a snub. What do you think?
I think if they had the best record in the NBA, I think you can put Josh Hart there.
That's so generous because there's a lot of people that we're about to get to. Okay, let's go through the rest of the people who have been accused of being snubs, and we'll talk about their case and what they've done this season, whether they deserve it or not. Tyrese Halliburton.
He started off slow. He They started off slow. When Indiana came back this season, no one thought that they were going to start off slow. Everyone thought that, man, they're going to basically start when they left off. Beating people, playing fast. They start off slow. He didn't shoot it really well in the beginning. Actually, he shot it really awful in the beginning. They're taking that body of work, not what you've done in the past, not what the success the team has had in the past. They're taking from the beginning of the season start till right now.
Yeah. And I think that nobody has benefited from the success that the Pacers had last year more than Tyrese Halliburton. When you look at the MCAA tournament, if you see a team go really far in the NCAA tournament, even make the final game, you're going to realize that one or two of those players who make the final right there get drafted a little bit higher because their name is in the lights and they say they must have an impact on winning. The same thing What happened at Tyrese Halliburton last year when the Pacers had their really good start and were able to make it to the finals of the midseason tournament. He wound up on the Olympic team. He's getting discussed in all these different realms because people want to know who's exactly responsible for that success. Who's the best player? Who has the gaudiest numbers on that team? Halliburton got that. Now they're not having the same level of success. And there's other teams who have had their own ascension and their own fun news story, where I wouldn't say there's Tyrese Halliburton fatigue, but he hasn't been able to put his flag in the success of a team that's doing that well.
And I think that's why he's on the outside looking in.
Yeah. So we're in the grand so far. Who's the next one?
Next one, I'm going to go. There's two guys from the Orlando Magic. Now, Paulo Bancaro, injury. It's hard to put him in there with the injury, but I think a lot of people would have been happy to see Franz Wagner in there.
He was hurt for a while, too, though.
The oblique bonus.
Yeah. You know what I'm saying? They were hurt. So my snub is this one. My snub is Trey.
I mean, so Trey was going to be the last one that I got to. We can I'm going to get to him right now because this guy is leading the NBA in assists right now. He's elevating his team. He's progressing personally. He's a guy who could be an all-star starter. Is Jalen Brunson that much better than Trey Trey Young?
I don't think everyone's game is different, right? Everyone's game is different. I'm going to say this, though. I'm trying to see how I can put this. With all of the distractions Trey Young has had with the Atlanta Hawks, they get the Jante Murray. They have high hopes. Jante Murray is hurt for a little while. Trey is hurt for a little while. Atlanta goes like this, before DeJante Murray, Trey was in the Eastern Conference Finals. They get rid of old coach, get new coach. They get rid of the Jante Murray this summer, go super young, very competitive still. Numbers get better. Free throws might have go down a little bit more. Percentages get better.
Lead to lead. Play styles change, too, which is such a hard thing.
Change.
Who he's surrounded with. When you have DeJante Murray, that's another guard who can initiate, who's going to demand a lot of the attention as a ball handler. And then you're going to a point where, okay, you're back to being the one who's pushing the pace offensively, who's going to control the ball. And now you're surrounded by these forwards and you got a rookie.
Wings. Wings. Yeah. Still putting in work. Healthy, healthy. He's doing healthy. He's doing it with a younger team. He's doing it with guys that's four or five years in. Obviously, he has Tate Capella who's rolling with them. But other than that, you couldn't name a veteran on that team.
I think that there is Every single guard in the East, you could make a case that Trey Young deserves to be in over them. Every single guard, because I think he's right up there. And it's almost like there is this really good group of guys who are averaging 23 to to 27, 28 points a game. And let's be honest, scoring is one of the most determinative factors as far as who makes it into the All-Star game.
What place is Atlanta?
That's a good question. Let's get to the bottom of it. So I want to be right about this. I want to be exactly right. So it goes Cav, Celtics, Knicks, Bucks, Pacers, Heat, Magic, Pistons, and then the Hawks in ninth.
So Atlanta is the man.
Atlanta is playing with the Bulls pissed in as a magic.
So a lot of people would say, Okay, yeah, Pat, he does that. He leaves the league in a sense. Does it translate 20? My thing is this. You put Trey Young on any of those teams, those one through six teams, one through seven, one through eight teams in the East. That team is way much better than whatever point guard is there currently.
Only one I would argue with is the Celtics.
I don't know. You put Trey Young with the Celtics with Drew Holladay, and Jalen Brown, and Jason Tatum, and Porziens, and Al Horford. You put Trey Young on that team, that team becomes very different.
Well, who are you replacing? I was replacing Drew holiday with him.
I would replace Derek White for him if I was to go point guard.
Okay, fair enough.
Cleveland would be better. New York would be better. The case that you can probably make it for is probably Milwaukee, obviously, because of Dane. But Indiana, Miami, Orlando, Detroit, Chicago, Philly, Toronto, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Washington. Fuck that. Fuck that. Hold on. Hold on. Fuck that. We're going to go Western conference also because I think that's fair.
Wait, before we go all the way to the I think that there's a couple- I'm just saying you could put Trey Young- Oh, you put him on any team.
And the NBA and that team is better. Probably besides Steph Curry, besides Kyrie Irving, Luka.
Shay.
Okay, see. Other than that, any team he goes on that team is way much better.
Yeah. I mean, that's a big I guess I just don't understand it. But the next one I'm about to get to, I don't understand for a whole different reason. Everybody's talking about this season, NBA viewership is down. And that's the big... And it's like, okay, there's a million reasons we could talk about that. That's not even what we're talking about. But it's almost like people are worried about a void in superstardum in a vacuum that's coming right behind guys like like LeBron, Kevin Durant, and Steph. We know that those guys are in the second half of their 30s or in their 40s in LeBron's case. We know that there is a need for more superstars in the NBA. So So why would you exclude the leading boat getter and one of the guys who is the most popular with a younger generation, especially in an all-star format? We're not asking taking LaMelo Ball to go and win you a championship, but in an all-star game where it's almost smiled upon to shoot from a half-court, why would you not want LaMelo Ball to be out there for the youth, for the style of the game, for the popularity of the game?
He's a guy who it's like, let him be in the game just for the vibes.
Yeah. I think in the Metta's case, he's young. He's going to He'll do the same thing next year. So I think you understand why you win some more games, you be consistent, you get invited to USA, you be a professional, you handle yourself with care. I think he'll be there next year.
Yeah, I just don't understand why the NBA doesn't jump on it.
I think he's higher than Tyrese Halliburton.
He should be higher than Tyler Hero, who's on the team.
Hey, now. Hey, now.
Come on, bro.
I'm coming on with you, Ron, but if you...
He should be.
They're number one in the Southeast.
What the fuck is number one in the Southeast? They're the sixth seed. They're a 500 basketball team. It's not like Tyler Hero has done this crazy.
I know, but if you take a guy from the conference and you have to take one guy from each conference. Look at it. You can't not have them out. So Miami, heat, Orlando, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Washington, the Southeast conference They don't have one guy. That's not how it goes in the NBA. You have to take someone from each conference. The Central Conference, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Indiana, Detroit, Chicago, which are all the top teams. You have to take someone from there. Then you go Atlantic. You got to take Boston, you got to take New York. So then that leaves you Southeast. You can't not have zero from Southeast. You need to have one at least. And they picked the person- That's why I'm saying LaMelo. No, But they had to pick the person with the top team, which is 23 games, and number one in the Southeast. They got to pick the number one team in the Southeast, and they got to pick the best player on that team.
Lamelo? He would be more entertaining and more popular.
I agree. But that's not the argument.
Yeah, but people are acting like the main thing is to win the All-Star Game. No one gives a fuck about that. It should be a I'm here to showcase the most interesting talent of the lead.
I agree, but Ron, if you're on a team in the Southeast, if you're on a Miami meet right now and you're in the Southeast, and I'm on a fucking Washington Wizards right now, right? And They need to pick a guy. They have to pick you all because your team is the best team in the Southeast. There are 500 team in the Southeast. The other team behind you is 490. You can't put any of those two because they've both been hurt. Okay, you have to take someone from the Southeast. It's division, division, division. People don't even think that far. It's just, oh, the East. Okay, cool. In that case, you could take three, four motherfuckers from Cleveland. You can take three, four All I'm talking about is you have two motherfuckers from New York, but then you have no players from the Southeast conference. You have to have someone from each conference.
The last one that I'll get to is Tyrese Maxi.
What is Philly right now?
Philly is right outside the play, and they're one game behind Chicago.
Okay, they're out the playouts. They're out the playouts, they're out the playouts.
Yeah, you're right. I mean, there's nobody from the Wizards, nobody from the Hornets, nobody from the Nets, nobody from the Rath. There's nobody from the Sixers, nobody from the Bulls, nobody from the Hawks. So the top eight seats is where you start finding all stars.
And look what they're in the Atlantic. They got an Atlantic conference. You got Boston, New York, Philly, Toronto, Brooklyn, Boston, and New York. 33 wins, 32 wins. Now, if they took Tyrese Maxi at three and then didn't take anyone else from the Southeast conference, you'll be looking like, what the fuck? How Tyrese, how he make it? He's third in the conference, and my team is number one. You see what I'm saying?
I see what you're saying, but- But that's the politics of it. Well, he's If you look at how he's playing lately, he's hooping his ass off, and he's doing the most to impact winning for the Sixers. Well, I'm saying compared to the beginning of the season when And he wasn't shooting as well at the beginning of the season. So he's doing more than he was there. If he was playing at this rate the entire season, he might have a stronger case. But I think that guys like LaMelo and especially Trey Young are the guys that you will make the strongest case for as being maybe a legitimate snub. But the biggest snub is going to come from the Western conference, and we'll get to him in a second.
I'm going to tell you who fucked the East up. This is who fucked the East up.
Who?
J. B. B. B. Staff.
Why?
He fucked the East up. No one thought Detroit Pistons is going to come in and be doing what they're doing. Detroit Pistons are the number 8 seed in the East right now. No one thought... Everyone thought Detroit was going to be 14, 15. That's who fucked the East up. If you all mad at somebody, be mad at that coach from Detroit that you all didn't give all that money to, that you all gave money to all that person that came before him. And look at the shit he's doing with that team. Kade Pam. Look at the shit he's doing with that team. So we're going to leave the East where it is. That's the East.
Let's talk about the All-Stars on the West. So to start off, I'll go through the All-Stars that we have on the West. Starters: Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Shay Gildas, Alexander Nikola Jokic. Perfect.
I mean, the only thing that might be an issue is... It's perfect, bro.
I think you could put an aunt over Steph, but the league is not ready for that yet.
No, you can't have Steph coming off the bench.
I know, but it's because he's won all these championships and he's such a big star, and they need the star power, which is like, okay, we'll pass the baton to LaMelo. Was my point earlier, but I think that if you just look at actual basketball, Anthony Edwards might deserve to be in there. But it's like, Lifetime Achievement Award. Steph gets to stay in the mix.
Yeah, got to keep Steph.
Then let's go through the reserves. We have Anthony Edwards, Anthony Davis, James Harden, Jaron Jackson Jr, Alprin Sengu, Jalen Williams, and Victor Wembe-Banyama. Looks good?
I mean, okay, let's go to the records. I mean, I think this is key. I think it's key to understand the knowledge.
Because in the East, they didn't do anybody from the lower half that was out of the playoffs. In the West, we already have a starter who's out of the playoffs. We have Wemby who's out of the playoffs in here. At Then the Timberwolves are the seven seeds, so I guess that's why Anthony Everidge isn't starting, but if they were the two seed, maybe they're starting. But the West has a different order to it right now. Let's go through some of the guys that might have been snubbed. I'm going to start with somebody who I'm seeing on snubless that I'm saying, Absolutely not. What the fuck are you talking about? This dude is not a snub. And that's Norm Powell. Norm Powell has been great for the Clippers. The Clippers are six, like we're looking at records in the Western conference.
And He's going to say.
Yes. And I think that people want to give multiple All-Star nods to a team, but they're not good enough to have multiple All-stars, and you're not going to not give it to James Harden for what he's done. And I think that in the absence of Kawhi Leonard, Norm Powell has stepped up. I think that he's also ready to slide back into his normal role.
That's a tough one, right? The Norman Powell one is a really, really tough one because while I was out, the main player, Paul George traded, James Hard, he go do his thing, which you really didn't know how the Clippers, man, are they going to be bad? Are they going to stay afloat? Who's going to do some scoring? What Norman Powell has done and has been doing, the leading score on the team, shooting numbers. The West is just tough, bro. The West is just tough. And it goes back to this, right? It goes back to this. It goes back to conferences. You have to understand the teams in each conference. Again, and I know I keep reverted back to this Ron, and I might sound like a little sad puppy, but I have to let you know. The West is composed of the Northwest Conference, the Pacific Conference, and the Southwest Conference. Okc, how many people do they They have there? Two.
Two.
Denver Nuggets.
Just the one.
One. Minnesota.
Just the one.
Okay, that's Northwest. Pacific. The Lakers.
Two.
The Clippers. One. Golden State.
One.
Phoenix Suns. One. Sacramento Kings.
None.
Okay, now. Perfect. Now you go to Southwest. Dallas.
Zero.
Memphis.
One.
San Antonio.
One.
New Orleans.
None.
But all those teams were two, three, four, and five. The number one team in the Southwest is the Rockets. So if you go take one from Memphis and you got to take one from San Antonio, you got to take one from the number one team, which is St. Goon.
Yeah. So does St. Goon deserve to be in the game?
They're the number one team in the Southwest. Understand the conferences. You have to understand the conferences. Don't understand the whole West. You have to understand conferences. It's top teams in each conference. What if you win your conference? How the fuck you win your conference, you don't have an all-star.
So then maybe we should give them three then. That's what happened with the Cavs.
No, but the Houston Rockets are number one in the Southwest. They got 32 wins. So you have to take the best player with the best numbers. And that is Sangu, that is.
Yeah. I mean, it's good for the league on a global scale, I think, having Sangu in there.
And then the number two seed in the West.
You have to give them some recognition. Okay, so then let's get through the snubs because it's like, if he has to make it, then I guess nobody got snubbed.
Nobody got snubbed. West is where it should be.
Hang on a second. Let me go through some names for a second. Luka, injury.
Injury.
Kyrie didn't get snubbed.
From the point guard play? Obviously, yes, because he's Kyrie They're serving, right? But they're FC. But does everyone know Kyrie is a motherfucking All-Star? Hell, yeah, they do, right? Everyone knows he's not an All-Star. Everyone knows he's one of the top guards in the NBA. But the way it's going this year, it's a little switch. It's a little turn. It's a little younger. It's a little not heavy. They're not taking a lot of baggage to the All-Star game, if you know what I mean.
Yeah, it's light rosters, 12 guys. But at the same time, though, if we're making the James Harden argument, then what's the difference between the argument for James Harden and the argument for Kyrie?
The Rockets are like fourth seed in the Dallas Marx, the eighth seed.
But I'm saying the Clippers are the sixth seed, so the James Harden argument.
But right now, play all start, right now, they're in it. Six seed, no play in.
But that's a one game difference right now. It's so close. That's my only point.
Kyrie has a good case. They're the number two team in their Pacific division. Dallas is the number three team in their Southwest division.
But that could have changed overnight.
But if you can't skip position-wise, you can't skip point guard position-wise and put Kyrie if you don't put Memphis, who's number two in the Southwest division.
Okay. I think that Kyrie has a legitimate gripe. I think that there's two more guys- He has a gripe every year.
He's Kyrie Irving.
Right.
I think there's two more guys that have- There's two more guys that have legitimate gripes. Who?
Devin Booker. It's tough to say Devon Booker isn't an all-star.
It's tough, and I love Booker. Booker's so motherfucking nice, man.
Bookso nice. He's amazing.
He's so He's so fucking nice. Good guy, man, can play fucking basketball. But then, they're a ninth. They're literally ninth in a standard. So if you take- But he's averaging 26, 4, and 7, though. I know what he's averaging, but you can't go by the averages of points. You have to go about where's your team at in the playoffs? Where do they stand? Who above you didn't make it? So if you took someone from Phoenix, you definitely had to take someone from Dallas.
Yeah, I guess it's just unfortunate that he's not considered that a superstar because we're just looking at standings. And there's two guys in the West who are big outliers, and that's Wemby and that's Steph because their teams are... And Wemby, too, though. That's an 11 and a 12. It's like, Okay, we're just going to give it to Wemby because we love him because he's exciting?
That's the argument. But you have to put Wemby in there. He's the alien. You have to see this guy in all-star there. He's going to be an All-Star Game in the next 20 years.
Well, then let him get there in the next 20 years when he has a winning record. If that's your main criteria, there are four games under 500. I told you- If that's your criteria.
They're changing things a little bit. I How did a coach come up to me and say this, no lie. I had a coach come up to me and say, Yeah, Pat, I was at the All-Star Game just looking around just to see how these All-Stars composed themselves. And Devon Booker had a hat on, had a scully on the whole time in practice. And I'm looking like, What is this? This is not basketball. In Book's defense, the league is changing. It's more swag here. I'm comfy. This is how I work out. Of course, I don't play with it all, but this is how I work out. The league is changing. We don't post up anymore. We don't shoot a ton of mid-range. We shoot a lot of threes. It's a lot of flair. We got our own More guys got their own shoes. This was an older coach. If he's telling me that, it's a whole bunch of people looking at the situation like, Maybe not Book. Maybe we go younger. Maybe we take WMDBE now. It's politics with it. And if you don't fit the politics, when I say politics, I don't mean all basketball.
I mean the stuff off the court, too. Your brand, how it look, how's it shape, who you hang out with, is it baggy? The package that comes with you? How is it going to look at the All-Star Game? They look at all of that, man.
That's why the NBA was probably licking their chops when they saw Wemby going to go play chess when he was in New York. It's like, Oh, yes, look at this good upstanding sitting. He likes chess. It's like, all right.
At the same time, Bookman dropping shoes for people to get for free.
I agree. It's like the perception.
I'm telling you what a respected coach told me. Yeah, Patty was working out with his hat on. And I'm like, What does that have to do? That's how the new culture is, coach. Guys don't wear their short super longer anymore, coach. I just didn't look right.
And I think the guy who has the biggest gripe though, is Demata Sabonis, averaging 21, 14 and a half rebounds, 6. 6?
No.
He's second in three-point percentage.
No.
He's shooting 48% from Three.
Keep shooting that motherfucking. What are you at? Shooting that 50 % clip, number 10 in the West.
So what, though?
No. If you put Sabonis on that team and you don't put Wemby, somebody getting fired.
Yeah, because Wemby is popular in French and- The politics of it, bro.
It's the game within the game that you have to play. It's the reason why they had them games in Paris. It's the reason why that certain team went to Paris and played.
Yeah. No, they're trying to globalize the game. So it's helpful that guys like Singun- Which comes with them even looking over there and drafting.
This thing just happened this year. They had, Man, come on, man. They've been looking at when me. This was five years ago. They knew this was going to happen. They just wake up, We're going to play in Paris this year. No, man. They're trying to globalize the game. They're trying to add more stuff to the game, add more fans to the seats, add more viewers to the television. So you have to make moves like this. Whether you're the number 12 seed or 11 seed, you got to have Steph and Wendell in that motherfucker. Are you talking about the face of the NBA?
Well, Sabonis is European, too, bro.
I said the face of the NBA. Ain't no motherfucking time, but I want to be Sabonis. Motherfucking time, but I want I want to be... Mommy, I want to be tall, mommy.
I want to be the inflatable thing outside the car dealership.
Outside the car dealership. I want to block a shot like this. Yeah, mommy, that's what I want to be. How do I get tall?
It's the greens, I think. I think it's the vegetables. But I think that he's going to have to dry his tears with the $40 million that he's making this year. It's not so bad off for Sabonis. But I also think that the All-Star Game is... Because of money like that, the All-Star Game is too unimportant of a product for people to be taken seriously. And that's why no matter how you rearrange it with East-West, US, young guys versus old guys, international versus Americans. There's nothing you're going to do that's going to infuse meaning to this game, because the only thing that actually matters to an NBA player at the end of the day is winning an NBA NBA Championship, and you're not going to put yourself on the line, play super hard, risk getting injured, much less have everybody agreed that they're going to play super hard in an All-Star game when it's an inconsequential game, you don't get that much afterwards. You're risking getting injured, and it's not the NBA Finals. So I think that people who are like, what can we do to fix the All-Star game? Let's have them play with their shirts backwards.
No, this is what they need to do, right? Because it's something going in the NBA that a lot of people don't see, right? It's a movement going on. Who's still in the NBA? Who's to come? Who's the future? I say you got 12 players on each team, right?
.
Anything 30 and above, take six on. Anything under 30, take six on from each conference. Play a scrimmage game, televise it, make it an all-star, play a little scrimmage game. That would West against West. Then based off that team, who wins that team, that should be your starter. Obviously, it's fan voting. But you need to have some competition within the West. You need to have competition within the ages of the The Lebrons, the James Hardens, who else is out there? The Golden State Wars, these older guys versus the younger guys.
What if we did it like this? I like What if we make the old versus young. What if we found out who the All-stars are, and then you divide them by age from oldest to youngest in four different groups and make them play a tournament? So it's like the oldest dudes.
I just said What's that, man. Just like a white person, man. Take my idea, I'm motherfucking. I made an idea to go- I'm building on it. We can't build together. I made an idea to go to the moon. I don't went to sleep. I don't woke up. You done went to the moon.
That's it. I got an idea for a telephone and I was like, the patent's already in.
I wake up, you call them, motherfucker. Hey, man, where you get that paper from? How you calling me, man? What the fuck, yeah. I took this shit not around with it, man. This is exactly what I said, bro.
I'm saying I'm a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, and that there's four different ones. I'm just building on the idea. I said, that's a good idea. Here's how we can keep on building on it. I'm not trying to steal your idea. We're working together.
Alexander Grand Bell. Alexander Grand Bell, Well, you are something else, man.
Damn, bro. And I almost got away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids, bro. Well, it's good to talk all-star game. Regardless, I am interested in how it's built out this year. And I'm going to be watching because I watch every year regardless. So I'm going to be watching. I'll probably be betting on it on the Drag King sportsbook. It's all going to be great.
Who you got MVP?
I think they're going to give it to an old head. I think they'll give it to Steph or something.
Man, I think when we're going to get that, it wouldn't be surprised if he have a quadruple double.
That'd be so far. If he was... Who's getting blocked? Who's even coming to the cut to get blocks or I'm up for block shots here with a wrong.
It would not surprise me if he had a stat line of 13, 12, 11, 11.
I feel like it's always a shooter that lines up Winning the MVP.
Never seen an alien like this in the fucking All-Star game.
That's true. I don't hate it at all. Who do you think? Maybe Sabonis can get in a three-point competition. Who would your pick be before they announced it, who's your three-point? Who's in No, I'm saying before they announced it, I don't think they've announced it.
Steph Curry is in Steph Curry.
Love. Well, I'm going to be watching the All-Star Game regardless. But yeah, we just wanted to give the people a little AM1. You know what I mean?
Like, call that shit, rep.
