Donald Trump just wrapped up a disastrous press conference with Prime Minister, Kier Starmer, as part of Donald Trump's state visit to the United Kingdom. Donald Trump was speaking about Russia and says, The whole Russia situation, not really a big threat to the United States or to the United Kingdom or Europe. Maybe I'll have some good news in a few weeks. Here, play this clip.

00:00:24

But the Russia situation, I hope we're going to have some good news for you coming up. But again, it doesn't affect the United States. Look, it doesn't so much affect you. Of course, you are a lot closer to the scene than we are. We have a whole ocean separating us.

00:00:41

Then Donald Trump continues with his lies about the United States bringing in $17 trillion in investments in eight months. Quite literally, none of this is true at all. He just makes up the number $17 trillion. Let's play it.

00:00:59

$17 trillion, and this is during an eight-month period, being invested in the country, which is not only a record, but if you compare $17 trillion to the last year of the Biden administration, they did $150 billion. They didn't do $1 trillion for the four-year period. We did $17 trillion of investment coming in. A lot of it's because of tariffs, and a lot of it's for a for a lot of other reasons, but there's never been anything like it. It's an economic superstar. That's what's become. It was mismanaged and badly handled for a long period of time, but it's not badly handled anymore. That's a record. Remember, that's up until eight months. We have another few months to go, and that number is going to get significantly higher, especially if we win a certain case that we're waiting to hear.

00:02:00

Donald Trump is then asked a very good question by a reporter about the UK ambassador to the United States, Lord Mandelson, who was fired by the UK government. He was removed from his position because his letters to Jeffrey Epstein in that birthday book from 2003 for Epstein's 50th birthday were revealed. Then Bloomberg had additional information about Lord Mandelstown, emailing Epstein just saying nice things to Epstein and being just helpful and protective of Epstein, very similar to Donald Trump. And so the reporter asks Donald Trump, Well, how do you feel about that? And watch the response here, play this It's a little bit scary.

00:02:45

To scare him and impose sanctions. And finally, if I may, the elephant in the room, Lord Mendelsohn, he is no longer the ambassador. Do you have some sympathy with him that he lost his job over historic links to Jeffrey Epstein. Thank you very much, sir.

00:03:02

I don't know him, actually. I had heard that, and I think maybe the Prime Minister would be better speaking of that. That was a choice that he made, and I don't know. What is your answer to that? Well, I mean, it's very straightforward.

00:03:15

Some information came to light last week, which wasn't available when he was appointed, and I made a decision about it, and that's very clear.

00:03:24

Okay, so Donald says he does not know who that is. Yes, you do, Donald. Like, you all knew each other pretty well. The White House official account, back on May eighth, 2025, posted the following, Lord Peter Mandelson, British ambassador to the US. You've done what you said you would. You've been true to your word. He hung out with you in the oval office, not once, but I believe on multiple occasions, and you knew him well. Weren't you all part of that crew back in the day, too, with Jeffrey Epstein? As we wrote on the Midas Touch social media account, either it's dementia or he's trying to distance himself from another Jeffrey Epstein friend who participated in the birthday book with him. Either way, not great. Then Donald Trump continues to lie at this press conference. What else is new? And Trump said that in the 2020 election, where he lost by over seven million votes, he said, We won in 2020 big. Then he said, We've already solved inflation. We've solved prices. We've solved everything. You've solved nothing. It's all false. Here, play this clip.

00:04:32

Then you see all the information that's come out. We won in 2020 big. I said, Let's run. We got to run. Because I saw what was happening. The worst thing that I saw was all of these people, We've already solved inflation. We've solved prices. Oil is way down. Energy is way down, the United States.

00:04:49

By the way, calling FCC Commissioner, why don't we ban Fox for putting this on? Should we ban Trump's speech right now? What else should we ban FCC Commissioner? Anyway, then Donald Trump struggles to say, Azerbaijan, and he's like, Azerbaijan. Then he believes that there was a peace deal between Azerbaijan and Albania. I think he means Armenia. That's great to the people in Armenia that Donald Trump doesn't even know what your country is or what the hell even happened. Here, play this clip.

00:05:24

That that one's not settled. To think that we settled over by Jean and Albania as an example. It was going on for years. It was never going to be settled. If you remember the Prime Minister and the Presidents, they were there for many years. They said, When they were in my office, we settled. They started off at both sides of the oval office, so far away. I didn't know you could be so far away. As we were together for an hour, they kept getting closer, closer. By the time we finished, we all hugged each other.

00:06:00

Then Donald Trump attacks the idea of wind energy. Let's play it.

00:06:04

Thank you, Jack. I would like to say that we inherited the worst inflation in the history of our country. We had inflation, the likes of which we've really never said. They say 48 years, and I'll accept that, but I really don't. We had the worst inflation in the history of our country. We had a expression that I used a lot, drill, baby, drill. As you know, we brought fuel way down, the prices way down. We don't do wind because wind is a disaster. It's a very expensive joke, frankly. We got our energy prices way down. That brought the inflation way down, and now we have very little inflation, and we have a very, very strong economy. That was very important. Drill, baby, drill. You have a great asset here, and we spoke about it. It's called the North Sea. The North Sea oil is phenomenal. I hope, because I love this country. My mother was born in Scotland, and the Hebrides, Stornouais. That's Syria, Scotland. We were talking about it. I want this country to do well. You have great assets that you're going to start using, I believe, under this Prime Minister. Thank you.

00:07:11

As the morning start to cool down, my coffee routine shifts. It's cozy mugs in the crisp air, refreshing ice coffee in the afternoons. No matter the season, Trade has me covered. They recommend beans I love, roast them to order and deliver them right to my door. Trade is the number one coffee destination in the US, with over 50 top roasters across the country. They even have a special cold brew collection with 15 roasters, so every glass comes out smooth and delicious. The prices, on par with grocery store brands, but the quality is next level. Plus, every cup supports local roosters. It's a total win-win. I recently got a bag of Ethiopian coffee from a roaster called Necessary Coffee out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Medium roast, roast to perfection with notes of fruit, brown sugar, and even a little citrus. It smelled incredible, tasted just as fresh, and I love seeing the roast date right on the bag. I'd show it to you, but I finished it very quickly. But I'm also super excited to dig into this new bag from Bird Rock Coffee in San Diego. Honestly, every single cup that I've had from Trade somehow tops the last.

00:08:12

Here's the best part. Right now, Trade is offering our listeners a free bag of coffee with any subscription at drinktrade. Com/mitis. That's drinktrade. Com/mitis, M-E-I-D-A-S, for a free bag of coffee with any subscription.

00:08:28

Donald Trump was asked a question by a reporter about free speech, knowing that Trump regime threatened broadcasters with their licenses if they wouldn't get rid of Kimmel, both expressly and implied intimidation. Also, a lot of these companies that carry the affiliates are far right-wing companies as well. They're like, You have to donate to Charlie Kirk now, Jimmy Kimmel. You have to donate to his family, and you have to issue public apologies. Jimmy Kimmel Paul didn't say anything wrong, in my opinion at all, that he described how MAGA was spending the weekend trying to make sure that the shooter who came from a Magga Republican, gun-toating family, would not be connected with them as Magga pushed a narrative that he was a leftist. That's what Magga wanted to push. Jimmy Kimmel was just literally stating a fact. He didn't even say anything negative about Charlie Kirk. He could have actually told the truth about Charlie Kirk's past and all of the hateful things Charlie Kirk said about Black people, gay people, trans people, about executing former President Biden, about how the Civil Rights Act was a mistake and should not exist, the horrible things Charlie Kirk said about Martin Luther King, the horrible things Charlie Kirk says about migrants.

00:09:43

Jimmy Kimmel didn't say any of that. Could have. Here, play this clip of Trump saying why Kimmel was fired. Play this clip.

00:09:52

On a separate issue, free speech. Your vice President, Vance, said that free speech is under attack in the UK. Do you agree with him, Prime Minister? We saw the dismissal of a very well-known chat show host in America last night, Mr. Kimmel. Is free speech more under attack in Britain or America?

00:10:14

Well, Jimmy Kimmel was fired because he had bad ratings more than anything else. He said a horrible thing about a great gentleman known as Charlie Kirk. Jimmy Kimmel is not a talented person. He had very bad ratings, and they should have fired him a long time ago. You can call that free speech or not. He was fired for lack of talent.

00:10:32

Then Marjorie Taylor Greene's boyfriend asked Donald Trump about a fake autopen scandal. They go, Biden was using the autopen. Therefore, anything Biden signed via an autopen should be disqualified. Here, play this clip. My question to you, President Trump, is there any update on the autopen?

00:10:53

Yeah, it's just gotten worse from their standpoint. The people that used it and in particular, one person, was never told by Biden to do it.

00:11:04

Then Donald Trump brags about how TikTok, there's going to be an American subsidiary of really rich people, really rich Americans, good rich people. He keeps saying that good, really rich people are going to potentially have ownership in an American subsidiary of TikTok. I'm not sure how this addresses any of people's national... The Senate's national security worries of TikTok and the findings there. If China controls the algorithm and controls the IP, that was the issue that the Senate was concerned with. So now you're just giving your friends a sweetheart deal to own a subsidiary of TikTok in the US, but not addressing the security concerns that the Senate on a bipartisan basis pushed. Here, play this clip.

00:11:52

Tiktok has tremendous value. The United States has that value in its hand because we're the ones that have approve it. I specifically get the right to approve it. The people that are investing in it are among the greatest investors in the world, the biggest, the richest, and they'll do a great job. We're doing it in conjunction with China. But we are getting the United States is getting a tremendous fee plus. I call it a fee plus for just making the deal. I don't want to throw that out the window. I can say this, that you'll have a lot of very unhappy youth. I use TikTok very legitimately, very straight, just statements every day. I do little statements, short statements, Sir, make it short, please, and TikTok Jack, we call them. It was pretty good. Did a good job for me, I guess. But no, I'd rather reap the benefits. The money we're talking about is very substantial, and it'll be owned by all American investors and the best investors, and the very rich people and companies are going to be owning it. Very straight, very legitimate companies, and really companies that love America, so they're going to be owning it.

00:13:02

It's a big thing. On a much bigger scale, and probably that's why we were able to get that, but on a much bigger scale, we're pretty close to a deal. We may do an extension with China, but it's an extension based on the same terms that we have right now, which are pretty good terms. Thank you.

00:13:16

Thank you. There's two other portions of this meeting that took place between Keir Starmer and Trump I want to highlight. Donald Trump bragging about the disastrous budget bill, which has hurt so many American lives. Play this clip.

00:13:30

Aspect of the bill. I call it the Big, Beautiful Bill, the Great, Big, Beautiful Bill. We got so much. The largest bill ever passed in the history of our country, in fact, so big that we really don't have to pass too much anymore. We can just do this for four years implement. I like to implement because the bills are wonderful, but you have to implement.

00:13:50

Then again, Donald Trump bragging that there is no inflation. Let me show you that.

00:13:53

I have a great process going. Inflation is virtually nonexistent. As you know, we're taking in trillions of dollars from tariffs, and they've been so incredible for our country, so incredible. We're keeping our companies happy. We're keeping them solid and sane, and they're very thrilled at what's happened. Actually, they can't even believe it.

00:14:21

There you have it. When I say it was a disaster, I think this video showed... You come up with another word to describe whatever that is, but it It was absolutely a disaster.
