Wait, what color costume should Sammy wear? Maybe a red costume or a green costume or even a blue and orange costume like me. I know. Let's find Sammie a costume that has all the colors. Yes, a very colorful costume for Sammie. Yeah, that would be awesome. And Sammie is especially excited for Halloween because he's going to hand out candy to all the trick-or-treaters. Well, that sounds like a lot of fun. Hey, for Halloween, maybe you and I can go look for the perfect pumpkin. Yeah, the perfect pumpkin in a pirate pumpkin patch. That's a lot of pees. It looks like this pumpkin patch is a maze. So we got to be really careful that we don't get lost. Come on. Okay, here we go. Whoa. Whoa. Where do we go? Peek-a-boo. That's Billy. Whoa. Did you see what it is? It's the pumpkin patch. Yeah, we found it. But now we just need to find the perfect pumpkin. Look, I have a stem. Pumpkin Blippy. Maybe not this one. There you go. Whoa, this pumpkin is enormous. I bet this will be the perfect pumpkin. But it's really, really heavy.

A little dirty. I think this is it. The perfect pumpkin. But you know what can make a Halloween pumpkin even better? Yeah, decorating it. Okay, let's go decorate our pumpkin. Yeah. Let's make this a fox. Foxes are really cool animals. And look, we have all the different shapes we need to make it a fox. First, I think we need to put some popsicle sticks for the ears and the tail. Here we go. One ear and... Two ears. Yeah. And another popsicle stick for the tail. Yeah. We'll put it right here. Yeah. Decorating pumpkin is really fun, and you can always ask a grown-up to give you a hand. Okay, well, now that we have in Our popsicle sticks, we have some stickers, like little pieces of tape, and we can put it on the ears. Here we go. Great. Two ears with the stickers on the back. Now it's time to put on the ears. Yeah, one ear and two ears. Wait a minute. I was supposed to decorate the pumpkin, not me. That's silly. Okay, here we go for real. One ear and two ears. Whoa, look, it's already starting to look like a fox.

Now we need to add the tail. Yeah, these stickers. It's so fun just to put it on the pumpkin and it completely changes how it looks. It's like when you dress up for Halloween Okay, now we're going to put on the tail. Here we go. Whoa, look at it. It's already looking great. But our fox is missing something. A face. Yeah, we need to I'll put on some eyes and a tummy. Yeah, don't forget the tummy because Halloween, you eat all kinds of yummy things like candy. Now it's time to put on the face. Here we go. Look, it looks great. It's a cute little fox. Wow, that is such a cute animal. But I don't think we're finished yet. Yeah, maybe we can draw on it. Maybe we can get this fox some bushy eyebrows. Okay, here we go. That's pretty bushy. And maybe a mustache. Here we go. Look at it. That is so cute. Oh, but remember, we're decorating this pumpkin for Halloween. Our fox pumpkin definitely needs a costume. What should we dress up as? I know the perfect thing. One second. First, we're going to need some more popsicle sticks.

This vehicle is huge. Yeah. It's as big as a monster truck. And this vehicle is called the Swamp Ghost. Wow. So it looks like this swamp buggy is all ready for Halloween.

And check it out. Do you see these wheels and tires? They're so big. Yeah. They have really big treads on the tires so that it can go through all kinds of things, like mud, and dirt, and water, basically anything you might find in a swamp. Do you know what a really powerful vehicle needs? Yeah. It needs an engine. See, all the powerful parts of the engine, it can go fast. And look at this. Did you notice something? Yeah. Look inside the wheel. Yeah. Inside the metal wheel, there are two animals. Do you know what animal that is? Yeah, it's one, two, alligators. Keep your eyes filled for any alligators you might see today I can't wait to see one in real life. Check out the back of the swamp buggy. Did you see what I see? Yeah, this right here. It's not a drum. No, this is where they keep the fuel. Yeah, it's the gas tank. Yeah, you need a lot of fuel to get through all that swamp. Trick or treating is a fun tradition that goes back thousands of years. A long time ago, people would dress as fairies or spirits, and they'd go door to door and ask for food or baked goods, and it was considered to be very lucky to give those people a treat. So today we trick or treat for candy, but you can dress as anything you want to. In fact, I know some people that even dress as you, Blippy.

Cool. Yeah. Well, this Halloween, I'm dressed as an alligator. Yes. Well, do you know where we could find even more candy?

Well, I can tell you, originally, they used to carve turnips in of lanterns at Halloween time, but they're really tiny and hard to carve. But then they discovered that pumpkin were more plentiful and easier to carve, so we carved pumpkin instead.

She's so nice and smooth. Yeah. This Python is covered with scales.

She's a reptile. Scaly, smooth. And all these different colors and these different patterns are very unique to just her. And this is pretty much as big as she's going to get, maybe a little bigger. They can get up to 6 feet long.

6 feet long? Well, you are one amazing Python pumpkin. And with a name like pumpkin, I bet you are very excited for Halloween. Oh, Brandon, do you have another friend you'd like to introduce?

Those webbed feet help them swim really fast in the water because they're aquatic, which means they love the water. Looks like they're looking for some more snacks. There's a green one and an orange one. And look at this. It's A light blue one. Hey, can you think of anything else that's also the color blue? Maybe the ocean. What else is blue? Oh, maybe a blue whale. Well, let's see if we can find some other things here. Check it out. Yeah, do you know what these are? They look just like a regular cup. But these are magic cups. Yeah. You can put things underneath them and rearrange them, and then they disappear. Sometimes, maybe they move spaces.

Hey, look. It's a little bobble head. Yeah, well, this certainly looks like one cool magician. Yeah, I love dressing up for Halloween. Yeah, it looks so cool here. Yeah, everyone is all ready for the holiday. Hey, guess what's here? Whoa, we found it. Yeah, It's a perfect addition to my costume. This is a magic wand. Yeah, look at it. Yeah, the magic wand helps a magician do tricks. Kind like the scarves or those magic cups. But this is the most important thing. Well, this is a lot of fun exploring the shop, but I think I need a little help to become a better magician. Magicians, yeah. All the tricks they do takes a lot of practice. I think having a teacher would help me practice so I can do some amazing tricks for Halloween. Maybe we can find one over here. But first, we need to say the magic words. I think I'm going to put this down now. Let's say hi. Hello, I'm Blippy. What's your name? Hi, I'm Brent. It's nice to meet you, Brent. Well, I'm dressed up as a magician for Halloween, and I was hoping to meet a magician so I could learn how to do some magic tricks. Do you know any magicians?

Well, I'm a magician, Blippy, and I own this store.

Whoa, you're a real-life magician? Yes. Whoa, that's awesome. Well, I want to be the best magician I can be for Halloween, so do you think you could show us a trick?

Sure, I thought... Yeah, I definitely will. But before we start, I thought it'd be fun to have a little snack. I have some jelly beans here or a Deluxe mixed nuts. Which one would you like?

Well, I can't wait to eat some yummy nuts. Yeah, ashus and almond and all kinds of things. It's stuck on there.

Those aren't mixed nuts.

Whoa, those aren't mixed nuts either. Well, I'm still hungry for a snack. Good thing I brought some from home. Okay. Salted mixed nuts. These look so tasty. Maybe I'll have a snack later. Well, that was really fun. Oh, and what's this right here, Brent?

Well, this is a little magic trick I thought I would show you. I've got a magic wand that we'll place right there, and I've got a block with the letter C on it.

Whoa, a blue block with the letter C. Hey, can you think of a word that starts with the letter C? Maybe cat, or caterpillar.

And Another one with the letter B.

The letter B. Oh, just like Blippy. Or Brent. I like that one. And of course, A. A. Yeah, that's a really important letter. It's the first letter of the alphabet. A, B, C.

I have a very magical box here, Blippy. There's nothing inside the box here. We'll use that in a second. Since your name starts with B and my name starts with B, I'll show you this empty tube. Keep your eye on that green block. Do you know any magic words?

I sure do. Blippity, dippity.

Look at this. The B disappears.

Check it out. Hello. There's nothing in here. Oh, where'd it go?

I can't believe my empty box. Yep, it has a little magic bee.

Yeah, that was awesome. Brent, you're an amazing magician. He moves the bee from the magic wand into the box with magic. Well, Well, that was so fun. I'm already starting to feel like a real magician. Do you think you could show me another trick?

Sure. Let's learn a new trick, and I'll teach it to you.

I get to learn a trick on my own? Yeah, let's do it. Wow. Now we get to learn trick number two. So, Brent, what is this trick?

Well, this one's a coin trick, and it's called close-up magic.

Close-up magic? Is that because you're really close to someone?

Yeah, some things are smaller, like a coin trick is smaller than the trick we did over there, which is a parlor magic trick.

Whoa, so it's a little bit bigger.

Yeah, exactly. Then there's also stage magic where they do illusions.

Whoa, and I bet that's really, really, really big.

It's huge stuff. So Let's do a close-up magic trick for you and your friends.

Okay, let's watch.

I have one penny here. If you watch really closely, you can't buy a lot of stuff with a penny. With a little bit of magic, I can do this, hopefully, and then have two quarters, just like that from one penny to two quarters.

That was amazing. Did you see that? Yeah, there was just one penny. Yeah, just one cent. Then it turned into two quarters. Whoa, two quarters, 50 cents. That's a lot of sense.

Do you want to learn that magic trick?

Yeah. Okay. Definitely would like to learn it so that it makes a little more sense.

You have to promise not to tell the secrets of the magic trick. That's what makes a good magician is not telling how the trick works.

Oh, well, I want to be a really good magician, so yeah.

Okay, so raise the hand that you write with. Okay. And say, I promise.

What you're going to need, Blippy, is you're going to need a quarter. Okay. Then another quarter. Then a penny. You need those three items to make this trick work.

Okay.

Before you start your magic trick, you're going to put the penny in between your first finger and your thumb. Then behind that penny, like a T, the two quarters go like that. From the front of the coin, it looks like there's one penny, but from the side, there's two quarters. You have to be careful to watch your angles to make sure nobody's on this side of you or on this side of you, but straight on like you are.

Yeah, so the quarters are hiding in the back.

They're hiding in the back, exactly.

Yeah, you can't see them.

So you say to your friend, Look, I have one penny. There's not much you can buy with one penny. And then when you cover up the penny with your hand, just like that, you're going to secretly push this penny behind the two quarters and show the two quarters.

That's amazing. Yeah, look, the penny is hiding behind find one of the quarters.

Because the penny is smaller than the quarter.

Yeah, see? A teeny tiny penny, but a little bit bigger quarter. Oh, Brent, that's an amazing illusion.

So now you've learned a magic trick. You're on your way to becoming a Magician.
