Which politics and data website? What's the name of the website? Five Thirty— FiveThirtyFive? What was it? Well, we're back this time with our friends at Crooked Media for a new show called Still Counting. The idea is pretty simple. There's a ton of data and information coming at us all the time, and a surprising amount of it is misunderstood, underexplained, or overinterpreted.
Numbers are hard.

Numbers are hard. Numbers are hard. Takes are easy. And frankly, numbers have only gotten harder. We want to take a step back and ask a couple of key questions. Number 1, what does the data actually say? Number 2, how do we reconcile that with the other things that we're seeing in American politics and around the world. And number 3, how do we use that data to maximize our credit card rewards points and get better status in our frequent flyer programs? No, I'm just kidding. Number 3, how do we use that to understand or maybe even dare to predict the future of American politics?
That's deep. No spin, no BS, and no false sense of certainty.
Maybe a little bias, but only our own biases. We're not anyone else's biased agenda, right? We come to the table with perspective, I think, and experience and being wrong a lot and having learned from that.
And that's the kind of humility people come to need so much.
Some of the things people think we're wrong about, we were actually right about and vice versa. I'll say that much.
