In a packed hotel room outside Pittsburgh, the Mighty America Strike Force campaign group is gathering.

This is ground zero for the election. So everybody in this room, you are in the arena here today, guys.

Church Minister Michael Hildreth has driven two days from Texas with his son to campaign in this crucial battleground state.

Keep us all safe as we go out there and as we get the vote out for President Trump.

After a prayer, they drive out into the mainly pro-Democrat suburbs on the hunt for votes in enemy territory.

Tensions are higher. I think people are more angry and meaner. Now, it's hostility.

Working class and blue collar, the Pittsburgh suburbs have been reliably Democrat for decades.

From the Trump campaign, trying to encourage everyone. Have you voted already?

Not yet.

He No, he said, Trump's not for me. That's what he said.

But in the closest US election in living memory, this is Turfworth fighting over with the Democrats, door by door.

They actually have this. I'm going to wait till they leave.

He's a Democrat campaign, so you're lining up to get their vote.

Yeah. I guess it would be wrong of me to remove their... I hear them inside, too.

The Trump campaign is, though, making headway here, taking territory in what used to be a Democrat stronghold.

Tell me, who are you voting for and why?

Trump and Bence. I mean, close borders, economic freedom, inflation, less crime, a businessman that knows how to run a business.

From Pennsylvania to Arizona, all seven swing states, those states that could go either way, are simply too close to call. That is unprecedented in American election history, and it means that in the closing stretch of this campaign, both candidates are crisscross in the country, fighting over every last vote.

Donald Trump has today swung through both Virginia and North Carolina, where he falsely accused his rival of calling him Hitler.

She said, We want to be unified. We don't want to say bad things about anybody, including our opponent. He's Hitler. You ever hear? She You ever hear? She talks about unity, and then she calls me Hitler.

Kamala Harris was in North Carolina, too, with yet another celebrity, this time, Jon Bonjovi, as her warm-up act. Joe Biden was campaigning in Pennsylvania.
