Transcript of [sub] Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier Fragrance / Cologne Review

Hello, ladies and gentlemen,and welcome back to another fragrantly

of you, thank you allvery much for tuning in.

And in this video,

we're going to be taking a closer look atthe original Ed Hardy fragrance for men.

So stay tuned.

Now, this fragrance was released in 2008.

It has a very simple no break down.

You're going to have Clarey, Sage, Musk,

Amber and citrus, a few differentcitrus notes listed in the breakdown.

But this particular fragrance,I couldn't locate who the perfumer is.

And I can't help but make a comparisonto the love and luck version.

So the first thing I'm going to say is,if you are a fan of love and luck,

this is the fragrance that youwould wear toward the nighttime.

So love and love is brighter.

It's fresher, it's more inviting.This one.

On the other hand,

I can see this being worn for nighttimescenarios at a party we know is a very

famous tattoo artistnow has his own brand.

And we're going to go ahead and start off

the review by taking a closerlook at the presentation.

Now, the presentation for this one is

rather simple, but itis a nice presentation.

You have the iconic tiger here

in the front and it has Ed Hardyprinted on the bottom of the base here.

It does click into place,

but I would be careful pickingit up from the top of the cap.

I know my love and look bottlecomes apart all the time.

The atomizer on this one is a bit narrow,so spread from a distance and then you

have the sticker at the bottom with yourserial number and other information.

And that was the presentation for theoriginal Ed Hardy by Christian Autogen.

Now, as soon as you spray this fragrance

on skin, you are going to get a lot ofthat amber note that's listed in there.

And we know that Amberand perfumery is a fantasy.

No.

So you are going to geta little bit of the sweetness.

It's something that I would saysmells a lot like Tonka Bean.

If you've ever smelled fragrances like

Mandarin, a duck,pure black Versace arroz.

Azara wanted the all to havethat sort of Tonka being feel.

And I like the sweetness.

And I think the sweet part of it is what's

going to allow this fragranceto garner a lot of compliments now.

And full disclosure,I'm not a huge fan of the scent.

I just feel like it's very underdeveloped.

I feel like it's missinga lot of elements.

It's not sort of sophisticated or classy.

BELLISON For what it's worth,if you're in TJ, Max,

and you see a bottle of this, I thinkthis is the one point seven ounce.

If you see a bottle of this on the shelvesand it's selling for like seven dollars

and you're looking to get into fragrances,this is not a bad place to start,

but it is a type of fragrance where ifyou've been wearing it for a few years

now, I would recommend somebodyto upgrade their wardrobe, so to speak.

It's not a bad scent.

You are going to get that sweetsort of Tonka bean feel in there.

You don't get a lotof citrus in the opening.

You are going to get that strong alcohol

smell and then it does settleinto something rather nice and refined,

not refined, but something niceand a bit better put together.

It's not too sharp on the nostrils,

but overall, I think it's for whatit's worth, it's a decent scent.

I think it's a nice center where at night

time, like I said,you have the fresher counterpart,

which is love and luck, actuallyhave a couple bottles of that.

That's another fragranceI'm not a huge fan of.

They all seem to be rather simplyconstructed to kind of linear.

You can tell that not a lot of thought was

put into it, but the overallsmell is pleasant.

So to an undiscerning nose,I think they're going to like it.

You are going to get compliments.

It's going to do pretty well for you.

And you can get away with telling peopleyou're wearing something higher end.

And I don't think you're going to secondguess you two and under undiscerning nose.

But if it's somebody who has experiencewith fragrances, somebody who has smelled

the doors, the Versace's, the Chanels,I think this one is going to be like, hmm,

it smells like you're wearing somethingthat was probably really affordable.

So it does give off that vibe about it.

I think you are going to getcompliments in terms of scenarios.

I think this is a good send to wear,maybe dressed up in a shirt and tie.

You can wear it casually justbecause it's so inexpensive.

And then I would probably save thisone for the colder months as well.

Let's go ahead and finish off the reviewby taking a look at my rating.

First up, we have uniqueness,an overall smell, and while the overall

smell is pleasant,it's nothing that's groundbreaking or

earth shattering, like itdidn't really wow me too much.

And the overall smell,

in addition to it being pleasant,I do think it's a bit linear

and underdeveloped and it wasa bit underwhelming for my taste.

As far as longevityon this one, it's decent.

You're going to get about five hours.

So freneau to toilette.

It's probably what you would expect as far

as projection goes,it's actually pretty good for the first

hour and a half to two hours and thenit starts to sit closer to the skin.

Versatility on this one is great.

I'm not going to hidethat versatility on this one.

You can wear this one.

Colder weather, hotter weather.

I think it would do betterin the colder weather.

Love and luck is likethe hotter weather counterpart.

I think you can wear this one dressed up

because it is a bit it has moreof a personality than love and luck.

I think you can wear this one dress downas well just because it's so inexpensive.

So you can afford to wearit on a casual basis.

Presentation is pretty cool.

I just wouldn't pick it up, like I said,

from the top, because it doeshave a tendency of coming apart.

I know my love and love does that all

the time, but if I were to give thisfragrance an overall score,

in all honesty, I would probablygive it a two out of five.

Again, it's not a bad scent.

And if you're just getting into fragrancesor say, you know, it's right around the.

Holidays, you find yourself in a martial's

or winners or a TJ Max or something likethat, and you want to buy a gift

for a loved one, whether it bea younger brother or whatever.

I think this would makea really good gift.

But at the end of the day,it is a rather simple scent.

There isn't a lot going on in here.

It's a pleasant scent, but it's one thatif you're into the game and you want

to wear a fragrance,that's really going to get you notice

something that's complex,something that's built really well.

There are so many other fragrances that I

would recommend you buyfor a better value, too.

So that was my review on the originalEd Hardy by Christian Orridge.

It just didn't wow me.
