Transcript of 'The Five' co-host Harold Ford, Jr. reacts to the Vance-Walz debate

I think if you look at the debate honestly, you got to think that J. D. Vance had a really good night. I thought he had to demonstrate to people that, particularly women voters and people who might have thought harshly of him, that he was likable and relatable. I thought he did a lot of that. I thought Governor Walsh did fine as well. He started a little shaky, seemed a little rattled at the very beginning. The first commercial break, he seemed to come back more confident, more sure of himself, and his answers were better and more succinct and made more sense. Neither of them hurt themselves, but I would argue Senator Vance certainly helped himself a little bit more tonight.
