Transcript of Emily Compagno: Biden's spinelessness is heartbreaking
Fox NewsPresident Biden is on his way to San Francisco, California, ahead of his meeting tomorrow with Chinese President, Xi Jinping. And the two are reportedly set to announce a deal for China to crack down on the manufacture and export of fentanyl. I know, we'll hold our breath to. A deadly drug, as we know, that has killed tens of thousands of Americans in just the past year. That's what they're supposed to reach a deal on. We'll see if it happens. We hope so. Earlier this morning, President Biden was asked about his expectations for the summit. Here he is.
So how would you define success with your meeting with President, Shee?
To get back on a normal course of corresponding, being able to pick up the phone and talk to one another if there's a crisis, being able to make sure our military still have contact with one another. We can't take... As I told you, we're not trying to decouple from China. But what we're trying to do is change the relationship for the better.
So that was code four. I really, really wish we could go back to Trump days because China was taking our calls, right? You were there. Yes.
President Trump makes a call. She answers, okay? Because it was a position of American strength. I'm stunned by what... That was the first time I saw that footage. What would success be defined as? A normal course of communication? No, you are the leader of the free world. Success is China releasing wrongfully detained Americans. China stopping itself from committing genocide against the Uyghurs, China stopped doing military exercises around Taiwan. That would be success, not having a phone call. I'm very worried you've got a President who's desperate, and he's willing to make concessions just to have China take his phone call.
All right, that's the show, everybody. We'll see you tomorrow. No, seriously. And what was not on that list was fentanyl.
Well, fentanyl, also I can add to the list. Stop buying Russian oil. We're supposed to be having this embargo on Russian oil. Stop funding Hamas by buying Iranian oil. That's what China is doing. I mean, on and on. They're totally destabilizing the world. And Biden is just saying, Yeah, let's have a nice relationship on fentanyl. The really disgraceful thing about this is that they've precooked this outcome. They're going to have some deliverable, they call it, which is we're going to make sure we get this result on fentanyl. What does that mean? That tells you that she is perfectly aware of the role that China plays in the fentanyl poisoning that's happened here in America, the hundred thousands of deaths, right? And it's been going on for years, and he's done nothing about it. And now for a summit, he's going to suddenly turn around and do something about it. He's admitting China's role in killing thousands and thousands of Americans.
So you think the deal is baked in that they've already done this. Kennedy, if that's true, this is so disingenuous. He could have stayed here and gone to the pro-Israel, ginormous march on Washington. Why even go there if you've already got a deal in the can? Yeah, I.
Mean, the Vice President. She absolutely will have no part in this discussion because they don't trust her because the issues here are too grave. They are too important. Yes, she, that's she. Thank you. Yeah, the Vice President, she has really no part in these discussions, maybe a symbolic one. She could have been much more helpful. She inserted herself into the conversation saying that Islamophobia is the biggest problem we have in this country, turning her back on the rise and anti-Semitism. But you have rightly pointed out the surveillance program that China has been undertaking for so long now. They're playing the long game in terms of stealing our intellectual property and in the items that we use and buy in this country. There's not been a lot of pushback on China in terms of that. There hasn't been strength projected in terms of foreign policy, in terms of the economy, in terms of the economic partnership. It's because there are no consequences when China runs afoul of whatever deals that we've got, and they will never be compliant with any.
Global.
Climate initiative of any stripe. So all of it is laughable. China is just waiting for the President to wither away and not be reelected.
We didn't even mention the spy balloon. Right.
Yeah, I have not written.
Down here. There were no consequences either. Oh, please.
Bring it to us. Say no more. Exactly. Once again, we are subjected to an invertebrate for a President who can't even string a sentence together. We were more articulate here on this couch times a million than we can ever depend on him to be. It is so heartbreaking that, again, the commander-in-chief, someone who holds the highest position and the highest representative of us Americans fails to say what defined success would be a modicom of American strength because his spinelessness, his rhetoric-only approach has only abode in China. You guys all listed it here: IT and IP theft, military incursions and excursions and exercises, the balloon. Every single day, China engages in, frankly, mass murder when you include fentanyl and the relationship they enjoy with Central and South American governments and cartels producing fentanyl and shipping it straight from China or across the border. They enjoy the slaughter of Americans in that way. They enjoy our weakening in so many ways, including and especially when the DOJ dismantled the program that they had in place to somehow pick ourselves back up against the CCP. After this administration took office, they dismantled it. We have seen every day their emboldment and their strength growing since.
Just remember, when they enjoyed a meeting with Putin, attended as well by the UN Secretary General, after Hamas had invaded Israel, that's when we, as Americans, were standing in solidarity with Israel, and they said our partnership is stronger than ever. We need to listen to it, and we need a commander-in-chief that is strong. Unfortunately, I don't see that any time soon.
You know what? The words were just coming out of your mouth when we get this news, and it's everything you just said. We need our commander-in-chief to be strong.
