Who is the most iconic video game character of all time? Mario, Pac-Man, Link, Sonic, Pikachu? Well, a new queen of video game characters has been revealed, and it's the Tomb Raider herself, Lara Croft. Since 1996's Tomb Raider for the saga Saturn, Lara Croft has appeared in more than 15 games, three films, and multiple novelizations, and comic book adaptations. Now, according to a poll by BAFTA, she's been crowned as the most iconic video game character of all time. Why have people voted for Lara? Well, it could be due to social media, which has been filled with people reliving their youth, streaming the remastered Tomb Raider 1-3 series, which has often consisted of streamers locking the butler in the freezer.
