BBC NewsSo all these people you see here are on a late night quest for soup, Dumlins. Yep. Reportedly, up to 200,000 cyclists brought traffic to a standstill between two cities in central China. It all started after four uni students traveled 30 miles from Guangzhou to Kaifang in June to try Guentang Bao. Since then, social media users in China have made the bike rides a trend. The event saw young people who are struggling with China's difficult job market seek out inexpensive travel options. So before these scenes on Friday night, state media praised it as a demonstration of young people's passion, and it's kicked off since. Posts on social suggested some unis inenzhou have asked students to return to their dorms and imposed restrictions on them leaving campus. Traffic police also cordoned off some of the main cycling lanes between the two cities on the weekend.
