Next night, with just days until the holidays, some Starbucks workers going on strike and threatening to expand the walkout as drivers with the Teamsters Union are picking outside Amazon facilities. Tonight, just before Christmas, thousands of workers at some of the nation's largest companies going on strike. No contract? No copy. Starbucks Baristas here in Los Angeles as well as Chicago. And Seattle, where the company is headquartered, kicking off a five-day strike today demanding better pay and benefits. Because we know our worth, and we know how to get there. Starbucks says the demands It's, quote, unsustainable. It's day two of the strike involving delivery workers for Amazon. Why are you striking now, just a few days before Christmas?

Well, consumers may, next time that they look at their phone and push something, to try to empathize and recognize that when they hit that order button, that there's a person on the other end of it and how they're impacted.

Amazon says it has 800,000 operations employees and disputes the Teamsters claim that 10,000 people have walked off their job. Amazon says most of those protesting aren't Amazon employees insisting the strike is having no effect on deliverings. When I'm told we could see multiple rounds of these strikes in the coming months, and just moments ago, the Teamsters Union announcing that workers from a facility in Staten Island are now joining this nationwide strike beginning at midnight.
